I’m a frequent shopper at Ulta, and I’ve never had any complaints until recently. Usually the staff is always friendly and polite but I stopped by the store just to make a couple of small purchases. I don’t know if the cashier was kind of new or what her issue was but she was very curt with me whereas I had watched her be perfectly friendly to the previous customers. It seemed like she was in a hurry to get the transaction over with. She didn’t offer a bag (common courtesy) or pitch their credit card, things all of the other cashiers had done even when I’ve only gone in to purchase a bottle of shampoo. This was the one bad experience I’ve had at the store so I feel like a complete “Karen” writing this review.

Ulta Beauty has a lot of great makeup and has my favorite makeup on sale! I love their eye shadow the best! The pink eyeshadow is pretty! I also am thankful for their under eye concealer! My sister was able to find her favorite mascara and lipstick in her color. She and I had a good time yesterday at Ulta Beauty shopping for our makeup! I recommend Ulta Beauty to all women! I look forward to going back there next year to get my hair colored! Overall, a wonderful place to visit for my beauty desires!

I decided to accept charge from Ulta being a good customer. I received bill from them with wrong amount and late fee. This was a mistake, I ask the front desk at Lacey, they just ignored me and told me to call customer service. I pay all my bills timely and have never experience such a scam as the Ulta charge. I closed the charge account, and will not return to Ulta to shop. The customer service sucks, and I would not recommend this place.

So this is a pretty cool store. However, I noticed a couple of times when going in there I am only helped by certain people and the rest will make eye contact but will never help out. Instead they like to congregate in a group and just talk and stare. I find it very odd that so many people work in this store but only two or 1 person will help out and care about the customers. The people that helped me were very nice. They knew what they were talking about. One thing I absolutely love when going into stores when getting help. I really love opinions and experience.

Amazing! Katie was so helpful! I feel really excited and happy with my experience, and my new products! Everyone was great, Katie just happened to go out of her way to help me when I was holding too many products in my hands, grabbed me a basket, and she happened to be familiar with a product line I was pondering. Im definitely going back!

They have lots of products, and the staff are kind and helpful! Also, the hair services in this location is excellent as well!

Ive been to this Ulta twice in the last month and I must say they have a great selection of products, the store is clean, and for the most part, the employees are friendly. I typically shop online then pick up in store because I need the product right away. Tonight I was in to pick up an online order and found something better in store; so I wanted to exchange what Id purchased online for the one I found in store. When I got to the counter the manager was helping me. When I shared what I wanted to do, she told me to just not pick up the online order and it would be cancelled (never used the word refunded) in a couple of days. I thought that was weird but said okay and just bought the new product because she obviously didnt want to do what I was asking. I got in my car and looked at the policy and it turns out that its really 5 days before the order is cancelled. Hopefully there is anything else to be aware of like not being able to order online again, etc. Luckily, I dont need the money right now, but what if I did need the exchange right away so that I could purchase something different? It shouldnt be that difficult a task to exchange a product that has never been used for a more expensive one. I expected her to say we can absolutely do that for you and youll just pay the difference, but that didnt happen. I know there are much bigger things going on in the world, but as someone who is in customer service, I expected more, especially from a manager.

I decided to drastically change my hair color so I made an appt with Ulta. My hair is just as bright and colorful as I had hoped for and despite starting off as a dark brunette my hair came out almost just as healthy as before the lightening process. I had a long but wonderful experience and Colleen did an amazing job making sure my color was perfect before we were done. Loving my new look!

**Word to the wise, check the bag before you leave the store** Ive ordered twice for in store pick up and twice Ive been short items. Today was a new one when I was corrected when I said my order was incomplete and was missing an item. Then it had to be cleared with management to give me an item that I had paid for but what not given to me in the pick up bag without having even left the store.

AMAZING! I came in to get my brows done and I brought my mother with me. It was my mother’s first time at Ulta and we had our brows done by Emma. She was so kind and courteous and treated us so wonderfully! She walked us through step by step through the entire process. We are so happy and satisfied! 100% recommend and we will definitely be coming back!

Top Beauty store over others in the area. Staff willing to help and look for products that you are looking for as well as make suggestions of like products. What can I say I just love all the girls at this store. Make me feel great every time. If you have questions ask. Quality product both drug store and name brand make-up. They do have a salon as well and do eye brow waxing. Love love love this store!

A stylist named Sam was so kind to us even though we were not paying for a service. She took the time to explain which products would help achieve the look I was going for with my hair, recommended a styling tool and didnt pressure me to buy or set up an appointment. I was so impressed by her I will be getting my next hair treatment done by her.

EMMA AT THE BROW BAR. She is the entire reason to go! She is so friendly and fun and did the best brow work I have ever had. Emma is extremely knowledgeable and was great at educating me on how to care for me new brows. She also made some excellent makeup recommendations that have worked out better than most the products I’ve bought. Emma is the brow master. I have been scared to get my eyebrows done for 3 years because I had a bad experience and someone took off way too much. Emma fixed everything and I have a new confidence! Emma at the benefit brow bar is quite possibly one of the best cosmetologists ever. As someone who has consistently been receiving waxing treatments since high school, Ive found it difficult to really have an attentive and knowledgable cosmetologist especially in a new city. Emma was kind, attentive, detailed and precise all of which concluded in an extremely great wax. Honestly, Im unable to recommend her high enough.

I’ve only been in a few times, but every time I have been in the staff is so so sweet and helped me find good options for my price range, also knowledgeable about the products. One of the sweet ladies there helped me find a great foundation and matched me perfectly on the first try. My only complaint is that the store is so big it’s a little overwhelming, but the staff is really bubbly and will help with anything you need. The store has a decent range of less expensive to high end makeup.

Best hair appointment I’ve had since I’ve moved here! I highly recommend Lauren. She really went above and beyond. She’s very genuine and caring and does awesome highlights. Definitely coming back.

I love Ulta! The past two times I’ve been to this Ulta I’ve been seeing Emma; the benefit brow specialist. She’s AMAZING! It’s hard for me to trust people with my eyebrows but she really knows how to take care of you

Emma is amazing! This was my first time ever doing anything with my eyebrows. She walked me through the process of how to do them properly and even wrote me directions on a piece of paper to take home! I love them!!!

My sister and I are new to the makeup world and one of the ladies helped us both find the perfect shade and foundation for us and we love them. I wish I remembered her name because she was super patient and super helpful. I will be looking for her the next time I need help!

Very welcoming, bright and clean store. I have always been happy with the help that I receive. Large selections of beauty products. They also have a salon, brow and facial services. Their rewards have been the best I have found and if you download the mobile app and check it before you shop. You can score major points, deals and free products. Pricing is average sometimes on the spendy side but I feel the reward points make up for the one stop shopping.

I usually love Ulta but at this particular location I was matched for a foundation and they gave me a super light color, the girl didn’t really know what she was doing. I’m hoping I can return or exchange for my correct color

Visited the new Ulta location in Lacey, Washington, this evening to purchase a new mens cologne. Since new renovations are now complete, theres nothing left but a beautifully laid out store! Gift ideas galore and a very pleasant experience overall. Ive frequented Ulta in Orange County, SD and on numerous occasions in NYC. For those who never shopped at Ulta before and were expecting Wal-Mart or swap meet pricing...this ISNT the place!

They did not have a very good stock. They were even out of alot of their own brand. Their prices are not well marked. They have many exclusions on what their coupons can be used on. You dont have any way of knowing what untill you are in the store . They have a sign behind the registers.

Today was my first visit and I had an okay experience. The salon does not have defined hours and I was told the person in change left between 6 or 7pm!Other than that the Store had very helpful and knowledgeable staff and I was able to sign up for a rewards card :).

Went into today with a friend to get makeup done because we were having a girls day and must say I’ve never had my makeup done before and will say I loved every minute of my experience there with very friendly staff! Lastly, Miss Elizabeth is an awesome person inside and out and is very knowledgeable and knows her makeup! I’ve already booked to see her again June 9th! Madhouse the day I took my daughter in. Black Friday, Sales, and a Bunch of people wanting those products. Staff all seemed Friendly and Helpful. The Store was pretty hard to navigate especially find what was on sale.

For a store with the name beauty in it, this place is filthy. Garbages are always full and over flowing with drink cups and peoples used cosmetic testers. So gross!!!

I drove past this store for a YEAR before I finally stepped in. I had just come from a TERRIBLE shopping experience at Sephora, and walked into Ulta on a hope and a prayer. The staff here is PRICELESS. Not ONLY did they help me in my immediate issue, they listen to ALL of my questions and concerns, and helped me find amazing solutions, with ZERO-PRESSURE suggestions. Whats MORE - They treat me, my 7 year old daughter and my mother with EQUAL respect and attention. From hair to skin, cotton balls to foundation, I will only EVER buy from ULTA. And she lived happily ever after. GAME CHANGER.

I went there for an eyebrow wax, haircut, and makeup lesson. Services were great, products were great, but the cashier was not the brightest crayon in the box. I told her to make the total $$ for one service and she made the tip the cost of the service. Im sorry but no eye brow wax is worth a 25 dollar tip. She did the same for the haircut and makeup lesson... Heard alot of bickering between employees about being productive, and one girl called out on her last day which started a whole gossip conversation over the headsets. I wont be going back there for anything but to buy products.

Went to return an item and the lady behind the counter was completely rude. Every time I go here its either a hit or a miss: they are either super helpful and nice or they are cold and seem annoyed and unknowledgeablewhenever you ask something. They recommended something that had horrid reviews online and left my skin worse.

I drove nearly 45 minutes to get a foundation that I guess didnt release until the next day. Hannah ,the lovely woman at the counter, went and got one for me even though she couldnt make a tester for me to try until the next day. Luckily I had already gone to Sephora and gotten a free sample so I knew which shade to grab. (pro tip, get the sample there and then buy from Ulta since their rewards are much better). So let start with, I go to the Olympia ulta weekly. I love that ulta so much! But they stopped selling a product I loved! I had seen that this ulta in Lacey sold it, so I decided to make a trip there. I first walked in and was not greeted. I looked around for about 45 minutes ish, and not one time I was talked to. I then proceeded to get in line and check out. My check out lady had blond hair and her name was Jessica, I smiled at her and she glared at me. She then asked me for my number for rewards. I told her it and she then says with a attitude thats incorrect I was pretty confused because of how she said that. She should have simply said could you repeat that. I then handed her a coupon that doesnt expire till 1/5/20 which I have never used and she says umm that doesnt work the whole time I was there I was talked to like a child, I really dont think someone that stuck up and rude she be working customer service. This ulta definitely lost my business.

They are always so helpful. Im so intimidated by makeup and Im in my 40s. I avoided Ulta forever intimidated by it, too. Obviously a big store like it was going to be for people who knew about makeup, and young girls. Not me.I went in desperate cause Rosacea was really ruining my life after a year with a rash on my face and no clue how to even use more than the lightest foundation.They spent hours with me. Repeatedly. Every time I went in. And came back returning whatever they helped me with before cause it was too thick cause I wasnt used to makeup, too orange, you light, too dark, too whatever. Over and over. And then when my doctor finally dx my rosacea and got rid of that rash more time again. They helped me figure out moisturizers and how to keep eye liner from sticking to the upper part of my eyelids cause they are hooded.I cant tell you how helpful they are. Only one girl ever seemed irritated and I only saw her there a couple times.If youre dont know where to start, you cant start anywhere better.

If you had asked me just a little over a month ago what my opinion was on Ulta (Specifically this store) I would have highly recommended it and even put the associates who are the most friendly and helpful with question....... But that is in the past!!!I would NEVER recommend anyone to to this Ulta. In September I went to this location 4x a week and spent $1,000 maybe more. My first problem was one night CARISSA was cutting my hair and when she was finished I had about 30 minutes till my ride showed up, I decided to look around the store and shortly after I started looking I hear Carissa and the male employee talking about me and both giving me dirty looks. They then proceeded to follow me around the store none stop asking if I needed help and why I was still here. I was so irritated I paid for my things $200 an left.Then a few days later I told my brother he should have her cut his hair so he asked me to make him an appt. When arriving that night with my brother he was told he wouldnt be helped even though he had an appt. 45 minutes later after chasing around the store Carissa and the store manager who couldnt give good customer service and be honest with what happened. Finally they decided to say they accidently over booked and he would have to come back...... Hmm funny cause when I booked the appt they were wide open for like 3 hours and we showed up 30 minutes early. So if that was the case how would he be the one bumped. The real reason is because CARISSA thought it was a hair appt for me and thought she would be all high school and cancel it.Poor customer service beyond explanation!!

VERY EXPENSIVE! Great place to get makeup. Most products dont even have prices. A lot of employees in the store helping people there was only 1 person that approached me, didnt ask if I needed any help. VERY EXPENSIVE tho.

Im so disappointed in Ulta. I got a flyer in the mail for a full size item from Clinique with any Clinique purchase. I have spent A LOT of money there. Go in get my mascara and the full size All about Eyes. Wont ring up right. Come to find out it was a promotional full size and they were out of them while supplies last I just got the coupon! So to substitute they gave me a travel size moisture surge. Total Bait and Switch. Im so angry right now!. The Manager didnt even try to make it right. Both Clinique and Ulta lost a customer today. I will not spend my money in a store with no integrity. Done!

Worst customer service. The sales associates were too busy chit chatting with each other and friends in the store, to be bothered to see of I needed help. I had fully intended on making a purchase, until I was ignored and then talked at instead of talked to. Ill never return to this Ulta, and frankly Im thinking of not shopping at Ulta period anymore.

Customer service is really spotty. I went in, specifically needing help with picking a product, and walked by three different employees, none of which asked if I needed help finding things. When I went to check out, the cashier didnt make any eye contact, and when she needed assistance, she called someone else and then just walked away - didnt tell me what was going on. I came back another time and there was someone asking if we needed help. That was better, but I had yet a different cashier who again seemed super cold. I had some returns and she didnt seem to want to give me the time of day. This place gets the job done for a wide array of makeup, but the customer service needs help. The employees really seem like they hate their jobs.

Don’t have your brows done here by Tere, I had big brows and wanted a simple trim and shaping and I now have thin, uneven and sloppy brows and it took an excessive amount of time, not to mention she tried to upcharge me at checkout. Luckily the manager noticed and corrected the pricing. Just go somewhere else.

Terrible and unpleasant if I had to describe in two words. Lots of inexperienced retail associates. And managers standby idling while check out line is 5+ waiting to check out. It is your typical Ulta store which is the only thing to appreciate about this location. Im not sure if it was something personal about the manager mean mugging me while ignoring the store or if she doesnt like her job in general. When it came time to check out after a 15 min wait she was relentless about getting my email and phone. I didnt know I HAD to give her that information to shop at ulta. Lol. Inexperienced in retail is something learned overtime so no biggie, but lousy demanding rude and callus behaviour is shameful from upper employees. Ill be driving to the westside Olympia location from now on even though its a 20 minute drive.

Found what I needed easy and had friendly staff and a lot of selection

BEWARE ULTA SALON.After a wonderful and gratifying five star Ulta Dermalogica facial from Trina in the skin clinic, I had an appointment to get my hair done with Catherine. She is a sweet young girl. I felt very comfortable, cared for and listened to the entire time she did my hair, I can tell she is passionate about this field in beauty. I came in wanting to look more feminine and pretty, less dull. She empathized how she didnt want to damage my hair and wanted me to be happier in life.HOWEVER.My hair resulted in a disaster that had me in tears looking cheap with a brassy blonde/orange AND short hair.She was kind enough to warn me it may be a little difficult to lift my dark hair to the color I wanted as seen in the included photo to this review. I asked her if she had an example of what color itll turn out then, and she brought me a book and showed me a darker, but still ashy beautiful blonde that I would love. So I trusted her she could get my hair color to THAT ombre and I could return to get it redone lighter.After a while, when taking off the foil off the bottom of my hair, she said it wasnt lifting claiming it was the black dye in my hair from over a year ago I got from a previous Ulta. That didnt make sense because Ive chopped it all out of my hair and grew it out to what it was at when we started our appointment. I never said I got the black taken out though, because I wanted to see if that would be used as the scapegoat. IT WAS. She applied more dye, used a hot blow dryer under the foil, and let it sit.After a long while, checked it, showed a coworker saying it wasnt lifting. She told her to keep trying, so Cat added extra dye and used extra blow drying under the foil.After another long while, she brought me to the back to wash my hair. I felt like I sat there for an eternity. I was so tired and yawning, but Cat was very understanding and friendly and told me itll be done soon. She went back and forth a couple times to add something to my hair as she washed it. She also left me there a couple times with something in my hair that stung my face (I just had a facial prior). I wasnt sure what he was doing, but I trusted her and somehow felt itll be okay and she wouldnt let me leave feeling miserable and depressed.So now, she took me back to my seat, blow dried my hair and draped it over my shoulders showing me this shocking unsightly hair job. I felt bad for myself, but also HER. I didnt want to hurt her feelings, she really is a great girl. But deep down I knew she knew this was a repulsive outcome. My hair was not quite ombre. The bottom third of my hair was also a damaged, dry, dark amber color, with the rest of my hair above being a light orangey brassy honey color. This was BAD. I couldnt imagine anyone seeing my hair like that, even ulta members in the store, even my family, even my boyfriends roomates CAT. I instantly asked if she could cut off the least amount of my hair possible because I was growing it out, I wanted the dead shriveled damaged amber color GONE, but I did NOT want to pay for the haircut. Would you if this happened? Based off policy, she said, she could only give me a discount for the hair cut. I dont want to be that angry customer nobody likes, so I just said okay. She ended up having to remove more, a whole third of my hair, because a third of it was damaged, dry, and dark amber colored. I felt even worse on to of this disaster, because it was already very late and I can tell another customer had been waiting forever for her appointment with Cat. I felt like an inconvenience. I just felt awful. This brassy blonde color would look nice on someone else, but not someone with my skin tone, eyebrow color and facial features. Theres a science to beauty!BEWARE OF ULTA SALON.In the end, I would be glad to update this review if this can be rectified in ANY way. In the meantime, I will not be returning, will spread the word, and will try to get my hair color corrected.

Great customer service!

I was so happy when this store opened by the Costco I frequent, what a time saver! Employees are always helpful and nice but if I could get through a purchase ONE TIME without the cashier having to call for an override for SOMETHING it would be a miracle. Whether its a button they pushed wrong or a glitch with the computer, literally, ZERO empowerment given to cashiers. Removed one star because they dont stock Dior mascara like the Westside location does. When I asked about it, the girl said I must be thinking of Sephora. Ummmm no, pretty sure I remember the magical day when I bought both my cheap hairspray and my expensive mascara under the same roof.

Holiday season and 1 cashier. No sense of urgency and store seemed disorganized
