The front office staff is very welcoming. There was a bit of a wait until I was seen. But that can be expected in a busy office. When the dentist did come in he said he was sorry for my wait. But I was able to get all the work I needed done in one day. They were very accommodating. I would recommend this office if it is in your dental insurance plan.

Usually I hate getting shots at the Dentist (no one enjoys this) but Monica made this experience very comfortable. The deep cleaning went quite smoothly. The entire staff was great. Silvia and the front office personnel were great and answer all my questions. The doctor answered all my questions and made some great recommendations for treatment. This location has my highest recommendation.

I went there to get an exam to get braces. The lady that does Administration for braces I can tell have some type prejudice towards me. I don’t why she didn’t want to provide service to me. Every time I called, she would say hold on there’s a customer coming in. For two weeks I was waiting for a call back from her to start my treatment. I got the memo lady, i won’t bring my self to your establishment. Have a wonderful life Gentle Dental.Why would I call to ask more questions? There’s Orthodontist establishment around, and that lady that work administration doesn’t even know the company promotion they post online she only tried to quote a high bill and act like she didn’t know what I was talking about. Monika was my Hygienist and she was gentle, answered all my questions was concerned about my comfort and educated me regarding my dental hygiene. Monika along and the rest of the staff at Gentle Dental are Wonderful!

Went to Gentle dental because I needed a bridge and Dr kadhem was amazing from start to finish. He made me feel so comfortable (I am terrified of needles and drills) that I would recommend him to anyone that needs quality dentistry. Shot out to his assistant Diana who is not only very funny but did a great job on my temporary bridge and her sidekick Bernadine who made me feel relaxed by cracking a few jokes. Even the front office (Liz) was great, from her friendly greeting to the easy check in process. I have been to many dental offices in my time and this has been by far the best experience at a dentist I’ve had.

I was recently seen by Dr. Trofimov and absolutely loved his office. He was able to take good care of me and made sure that I received the best care and treatment in a timely manner as he knew I was in Severe Pain. I can honestly say that his Staff: Bella, Jennifer, Maria, and Maggie did a great job. I give this office 5 stars +

For some reason every time I have an appointment something goes wrong . First I had an appointment for an exam and cleaning unfortunately they were not able to do the cleaning. I then had to schedule another appointment for them to finish the cleaning . So Im here today and they are saying they did not have me schedule for a cleaning so I cant be seen for a cleaning . I dont know whats going on in there but they need to fix it . They did want to schedule me for another day . So they can mess up again . But I will not be coming back. I cant keep calling out of work because of some inconsiderate people .

My Dental visit with DDS Trifimov, was very pleasant. All staff very friendly, respectful. Dentist gave a very thorough assessment of what my options are going forward. I even had a Great Laugh with the front desk receptionist. 😊

The Xray process was a breeze (previous tech had to re-do almost every shot) Breezed through 18 in no time. Monica was so great. Her calm demeanor made all the difference. This is my favorite dental office! As soon as I walk in the door I am greeted by all the staff. Everyone is so friendly and they truly care. My dentist is so cool I love how much he cares and that he is so detail oriented it made a big difference with my teeth.

There is a very good reason this dental practice is called GENTLE Dental. My first visit to Dr. Trofimov revealed him to be a kind, empathetic professional who discovered the hairline fracture in my tooth which had been causing discomfort for months, and which had been missed by my previous dentist of 22 years.My next visit was for crown prep. Dr. Trofimov made the whole procedure totally painless. His technique for administering anesthesia is extraordinary. His concern for my comfort was exemplary. And his skill during work on this tooth deserves commendation from someone who can truly judge after experiencing 6 crown preps during her lifetime -- kudos !! I am very happy to recommend this fine dentist.

My first appointment here was for my 11-year-old son who was dealing with his first ever cavity and would be experiencing his first local anesthetic. The cavity soon became a need for a root canal where Dr Lakisic was kind enough to give my son a chance to cooperate for the extensive procedure. As it was his first time receiving dental treatment I anticipated lots of fear and crying But instead There was no noise by the time I got back from bathroom they had already started numbing(praise) Dr. Lakisic and his assistants Alyssa and Alex not only made my child feel comfortable and calm but also brave. We are continuing Dental Care with Dr. Trofimov and couldnt be happier. From the front office to the back I felt that we had clear communication and a game plan that was beautiful executed and relieved my son of pain.

I felt they they did everything they could to sell me more services and part me with more of my money.

I had the best experience I have ever had going to Gentle Dental. It was for a cleaning and check up. The brilliant Dr. Kadhem discovered from the X-ray, I had an infection at the base of an old root canal. Also, the old crown had too much space between the teeth, where food would get stuck as this was a back molar. Dr. Kadhem had me see their endodontist to do the root canal and I was on antibiotics for one week. I just got my new crown and my bite is so much improved and I feel so much better. He is a life saver! The endodontist did a superior job his name is Dr. Lakasik. Best experience getting a root canal I have ever had. Dr. Kadhem is very smart and he has a wonderful repore and you feel like he truly cares about you. In fact, whole office staff is outstanding. Way to go! Diana! Bernadene! and Josh! I love you all! You gave me a reason to smile! Never fear, Dr. Kadhem is here!

While going to the dentist isnt my favorite thing the folks at Gentle Dental do their utmost to make things go smoothly and painlessly. Im a big fan of painless! The front desk folks Emma and Joshua are hilarious - they juggle people, the phones, the office staff and make it look easy. Their efforts to deal with COVID are stellar, I have no fears about the cleanliness. I would highly recommend them.

Had a root canal surgery and can honestly say I was quite surprised. Went in feeling apprehensive, but Dr Lakisic a his assistant were awesome. If I ever have to go thru that again, want him to do it. He was so gentle and reassuring.

My hygienist Monika A, was very nice and detailed. She made sure I was comfortable during my cleaning and answered my questions about how to improve dental health.

This was easily one of the worst medical experiences Ive ever had. First, they left me sitting in the waiting room for an hour and a half, while rudely talking about me from the desk where i could hear it. Then, when i was about to give up, they put me in a room, but left me waiting again. I came at 8, and was finally finished with the appointment at 1 (it wasnt a complex procedure). When I explained to the dentist that I often struggle with numbing, he mocked me. Then when i had a lot of pain while he was drilling and raised my hand as he asked, groaned, and moved, he just kept on drilling. It was miserable. Then, after resolving the bill and thinking it was all settled, they sent me more bills. I was a first time (and last time) patient. Also - Im not the type of person to leave a negative review, but this one warranted it.

I am scared to death of the dentist but at gentle dental they put you well me at ease and I didn’t feel judged at all amazing staff and doctors thank you 😊

Cindy the office manager took the time to explain why I receive multiple texts regarding my appointment. Now I know I actually need to respond to the text so that the system will stop the texting and the callings. Jessica did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and Diana provided excellent service while taking x-ray.

I am terrified of dentists but a toothache forced me to make an appointment. Gentle Dental seemed like a reasonable choice so i made an appointment. Every staff member i interacted with was stellar. Jessica at the front is so caring and Maria the RNA took such great care of me...she stayed by my side and walked me through my entire exam and procedure. A gem for sure! Highly recommend!

PARENTS BEWARE THEY DO NOT HAVE A PEDIATRIC DENTIST.My first appointment was cancelled because the call center scheduled my appointment on a Tuesday at 4:30 and apparently they were actually unable to accommodate this appointment. They called me to cancel at 4 PM after I had already left work early and was on my way from Alpine to La Mesa. They rescheduled me for the following day, fine.The day of my appointment my daughter was seen and then referred to a pedodontic dentist. I was told to call their Chula Vista office and then informed that they do not have one on staff.... Anywhere in San Diego.Completely wasted my time two days in a row.

Last Thursday 01/23 /20 I came to your office to seek some clarification on a letter from United Healthcare regarding periodontal maintenance work done on 01/06/20. First they seemed to pay it then they denied it. Confused I took the correspondence to your office and met Bella your office manager.She looked at my paperwork and listened to my story. Bella got on the phone and called United Healthcare and talked to one of their personnel. After the phone call she told me that she would send an appeal to their office. I would like to thank Bella for the time and energy she spent on my behalf and to commend Gentle Dental for hiring such an intelligent, personable and caring individual. This was my first visit to Gentle Dental Grossmont. I was very anxious and in extreme pain. I was treated with respect and compassion by all staff. The dentist, Dr Le was very gentle, thorough and explained everything in detail. He made sure I understood what he felt should be done and even included options if I was interested in a different treatment and why or why not it would be a good choice.Veronica Moreno helped me understand the financial aspects of what the dental work would cost, the insurance costs covered and ultimately my responsibility. It was hard for me to find a office so close to home and when i found this office i just knew i had to go to it. As soon as i walked in everyone had a smile on their face. There was one lady who stand out the most because I love how friendly, professional, caring JOEVANA was while giving me my treatment plan and she was able to accommodate me with any needs i needed. This place is a joke. I literally asked 5+ times if I owe anything and I was reassured that my insurance covered EVERYTHING I even asked if I would receive anything later they said absolute NO. All i did was ex rays and an examination... now after a month & 1/2 I received something in the mail stating I owe them 100$. ... yeah right LMAO.

I have a great fear of dentistry, so when my tooth broke and my own dentist didnt have an opening for a month, I worried. Luckily I found Gentle Dental. Dr. Kadhem and his assistant Juan were SO VERY PATIENT with me. I have to use nitrous and Dr. Kadhem would work for a little, right to the edge where I thought I might start to hyperventilate and then take a break, help another patient, then come back. It worked so well for me. When I went back for the crown, I was crying and they were AGAIN super super nice. I highly recommend this team.

Very surprised this place has such a high rating. More then once theyve tried to upsell what I needed done for money.My girlfriend had the same experience. They wanted to give me a root canal in a tooth that my current dentist for the last couple years hasnt found even a cavity. Beware.

I went in for a cleaning at 8am. I explained on the phone when I made the appointment that I already had X-rays 8 months prior and that I did not want to take x-rays at the appointment. He said there should be no problem. When I arrived I waited 45 minutes to be seen, just to be told that the required x-rays before the cleaning. I agreed only because I had already waited for 45 minutes and they agreed I could have my dental cleaning at 9am. After my x-rays I went downstairs at 9 for the cleaning. I waited in the waiting room until 9:30am when I was taken back. I then sat in the chair until 9:45 with no hygienist. I finally gave up at 9:45 and left with nothing but my x-rays so that I could go to a better dentist. As a new client I was SHOCKED at the level of service. There is no reason I should have had to wait an hour and forty-five minutes for a cleaning. Worst experience at a doctors office I have ever had.

Nice staff and very informative Dentist however the cleaning was rushed and they tried to get me to do thousands of dollars of extra work. The place wasn’t very clean and used older equipment. Not returning, definitely not bringing my kids here.

Gentle dental Grossmont has been extremely unprofessional! I’m posting this review to see if they can finally resolve my billing issues! I have contacted everyone that works their including the office manager on multiple occasions. I had to bill my own insurance in order for them to get a payment because they couldn’t manage to do their job! Please fix my account , I don’t owe your practice anything , you guys actually owe a refund to my insurances for overpayments. I’ve been calling for 12 months and no one has been able to help me fix this issue. So here I am writing another review, because the last one I couldn’t get a reply. Please fix my account so we can be done with. I would never refer anyone to this place again, completely unprofessional and horrible customer service.

It had been several years since Id been to see a dentist, so I was a little nervous going in, wondering if I would get scolded/berated/etc. for waiting so long. Thankfully NONE of that happened! The dentist was very kind and gentle, the front office staff & technicians were all very friendly. Everyone seemed to have my comfort (physical & emotional) as their primary concern. It was only my 1st visit, but so far I really like this practice!

Bad experience. Tried to take as much money from me as they could. I’m new in USA originally from Russia. I came here as my insurance gave me this option closer to my place I live. I wish I knew about rating like this and reading comments. First appointment they signed me up for $4000 care credit card and said that I need crowns and remove all my wisdom teeth. I checked later with other doctors and all disagreed because those teeth are fine and don’t need any treatment. But those $1500 I guess made dr Lee said that I have to take them out ASAP! Other doctor said that if I took it out it may cause big mouth problems. Ms Rosa is super rude! Waiting time is ridiculous! I’m changing my doctor for sure! I’m writing this review while I’m here at office waiting to pick up my medical record btw I requested it 4 weeks ago. No calls. Came here the receptionist said 10 mins. But here I am for 30 mins waiting to take it. So mad 😡 please don’t come here!

My family and I have been coming here for years now, they text and call me before my appointments, and everybody is friendly. The bad reviews on this site are from disgruntled people who are probably reflecting how they feel about themselves. Great staff, friendly Doctors.

If I could give them a worse score I would. My appointment time was 2:30, I left at 4:37. So lets be generous and say everything should start at 3 so they take X-rays and lets be even more generous and say that took until 3:20 literally nothing happened until 4:30. Thats an hour and 10 minutes of nothing. I literally sat in the chair while nothing was happening. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a dentistry. They have absolutely zero regard for their patients.

I was always nervous to go to the dentist but this place made me feel comfortable. Jeovana made me feel like family. She helped me understand my insurance and my copays. Jeovana is very good and what she does. Thank You for giving me my smile back.

STAY AWAY!!! They said they were in network but, they werent. We paid thousands for one crown. Went to new dentist covered 100% by our duel insurance. According to our statement they provided they owe us money. But, guess what no refund. In short they are shady stay away!!!7/11- **Update** Talked to you last Thursday and was told I have $0 balance. Today I got a bill saying we owe $116.50. You are the shadies dental practice. I hope they shut you down. We we to another dentist and got 3 crowns for the price of your one crown. I called to make appointments for my children who I recently learned had dental coverage through our Kaiser Health Plan (after years of having coverage and paying out of pocket). During the process Lisa Baul (the person at Gentle Dental who took my call) asked for my Birthdate, I said I do not have coverage and that it was a weird request. She proceeded to explain that they needed it in the chart because my children were under 18, somewhat satisfied with her answer I said, sure, I still think its weird and provided the details.She placed me on an immediate hold after sounding extremely frustrated. She returned to the line and continued to sound irritated, I asked a couple clarifying questions as she was asking for additional details I did not have as I do not have a plan through Delta Dental. She was very rude. I have made appointments for both of my children, because it is a PPO and they are assigned to this doctor, but I was shocked by how Lisa Baul handled the call and a new member. And will work with Kaiser to have a new office assigned if possible. I cant imagine how the care will be if this was my greeting bringing them two new patients.

After 4 years of excellent service with Gentle Dental in Palm Springs - very disappointed with the care and lack of communication with this Gentle Dental office. We are covered by two Dental insurance plans (PPO and DHMO) and this office was always trying to get us to pay for services that were typically covered by our insurance or came up with a procedure that was not covered (but also was not even necessary after a second opinion was obtained on the advice of Cigna Insurance). Advise anyone with insurance to be pro-active and insist on procedure codes and check your patient charge schedule...do NOT expect this office to follow through on the insurance. Contact your insurance company yourself...Cigna indicated not enough patients know they can do that nor are they aware that a second opinion can be obtained at no cost to the patient if approved. Thanks to Cignas help we have now changed our dental office to a dentist with 31 years of experience and much more modern equipment.

Im giving gental dental these 5 stars because of their amazing employee that was so kind and polite and very professional while helping me Ive been to doctors office and other offices and Ive seen good and bad but this time I had the best visit any one could have especially being so nervous about going to dentist Ms. Jeovana is an amazing lady here she made me visit so wonderful that I even forgot of how nervous she made me feel that I had nothing to worry she shows care and passion to whom shes speaks to and lets us know shes there for anything we need I got to tell you gental dental is honored to have someone like her shes a great asset to your office I want to thank Ms Jeovana for her kindness with me and patience she had with me i will most definitely go back and tell my colleagues at work to come here and speak to Ms. Jeovana she will answer all your concerns if I could give you 10 stars I would thank you Ms Jeovana for all keep up that amazing work and your wonderful personality and kindness you give

I was nervous and everyone made me feel so comfortable. This was the first extractiont that did not require stitches and antibitocs and did not take a long time to do. My mouth is not really sore.Thank you.

The receptionist was very rude. They charged me for some operation that I did not even get. They kicked me out of the place just because she felt like I was too angry and needed to take a breath. The receptionist also interrupted me in the middle of a conversation with my husband. We will no longer be coming here again.

I love Gentle Dental they make my every experience a good one.

I took my son there and had to wait over an hour just to have x-rays done. Then I was told he would have to be referred to Chula Vista Gental Dental. I asked about a co-pay and was told they didnt know. Little did I know that wasnt covered under my plan. I even called the Chula Vista office and they never told me it wasnt under my plan. i thought I was going there to have my sons fillings done but nope, just a cleaning and flouride that would have been free under my plan but not here. I feel these offices are being dishonest with patients. I recommend you take your business elsewhere with honest business practices.

Horrible, had 3 different dentist to do same procedure, its was the worst experience, there was no discussion about what will be done.

They tried to charge seven thousand dollars for an extraction. Said it had to be done surgically. Went elsewhere and had it done for three hundred. My advice go somewhere else.
