Honestly all I can say is they need to do better . They over work the caregivers keep in mind the facility is now 80% capacity and still have caregivers at $15 a hour when they can clearly afford to pay better . Not to mention the amount of work and service they provide for the residents , from waking them up in the morning and starting their day, to the very end of their day . Staff is NOT treated fairly nor is there any seniority for the long term employees Especially those who sticked around during the toughest time (COVID ) . No Professionalism from any of the higher ups for example (Morgan) He acts like he cares for his staff and their happiness in the work environment they working in and seems to “hears you out “ but in reality does nothing he promises . (Perla ) the nurse is NEVER around, residents ask for her and she’s never here or never gets back to the residents . Some residents haven’t even met her . Doesn’t know any of the residents Medical needs and Unfortunately a lot of her duties fall on the med-techs. Not to mention the way she talks to the caregivers. Very rude and unprofessional . No Appreciation for them or anybody else on the caregiving team. Whatever we bring to their the attention is always brushed off , we can’t even go to our supervisor without getting a smart response or attitude making it hard to speak up .

We have just moved our 94 yr old mom here and everyone was so helpful about the move. She has memory loss that her Doctors say is normal for a person her age. Simple things like turning on a television can sometimes be easy and other times, well, she cannot manage it. She calls us, we call the front desk and in minutes someone has helped her figure it out. Today the problem was that she had unplugged it to turn it off and then forgot that she did it. Everyone is sweet to her. They never make her feel bad about these memories lapses. They take very good care of her. The new remodeled spaces are very nice. So far, after about a month, we could not be happier. The staff is amazingly friendly, helpful and caring and that is the most important thing about the home. The food is good and the dining facilities are excellent. We cant wait for the new movie theatre to be open.

My mother in law has been a resident at the Montera since August 2018. The staff is very kind and caring. She enjoys the food and has made many friends. There have been minimal issues with the care she receives and when I have had a concern, it was addressed quickly and professionally. The front desk staff always greet us when we come to visit mom. The renovations are just lovely. Most of all, my mother in law feels comfortable and has expressed that she likes the med techs who support her in her activities of daily living. Shout out to Oscar at the front desk for making us feel so welcomed and to Brooke who has been incredibly responsive and helpful.

My uncle has been living here for awhile, theyre poor and inadequate care has forced us to relocate him to another place. He recently upgraded to phase one care an additional (525.00) a month and they failed to do their job. I have pictures to prove it. Shame on you Montero and your staff,....who by the way, the covid-19 breakouts they have had (2) has been with their employees / staff. The residents pay the price....lock down, no activities, no visitors, no leaving the Montero, no fun no good. I would not recommend this place to anyone...let alone your loved one.

My grandmother Pat Lindley has been living here for almost 2 1/2 years. She wasnt sure about it at first but, just a week after moving in, she decided to stay. I started to visit shortly after she moved in and I love it. I love going to Friday church service with her. The people are really nice. Grandma seems to be thriving here and she seems to be well taken care of. Thank you for taking care of Grandma. As long as shes still kicking, I will keep coming.

My family member was a resident at the Montera for over a year. If only the facility itself was a great as the staff was. Outside of the common areas (which were recently nicely upgraded), the rest of the place definitely lacks eye appeal. That said, the quality of care is most important, and the Montera is very good in this regard.

Its disappointing to see how unfair they treat their employees. The employees that truly care about providing quality care for the residents are the ones mistreated the most.

Common areas recently upgraded and really looks good. Bookselves arent designed for easy access by residents. Rooms and hall ways could use some upgrades. New bookshelf is designed for easy access, maybe my prior post made a difference.

It is unfortunate that false information has been reported about this community. Though HIPAA prevents community from discussing specific cases, the State has visited the building on several occasions with no deficiencies cited. The common areas have been completely remodeled and the dining experience is exceptional - on par with resort style services. The Care Team has several years of combined experience in geriatrics, with RN oversight. I encourage you to visit this community and see for yourself!

I used to work here for over a year so I can give an insiders account. First off, Lindsey Labradore, the dining manager is Hitlerian and harasses employees. Higher ups like Mercedes and Melody hide the three + reports and protests against her from staff. Which, may I add, is illegal. All reports are supposed to go straight to HR; the corruption is blatant. Even the residents complain only to be swept under the rug.Sanitation is horrible. Let me tell you, I was dishwasher. Those facilities are not clean enough to where I would send my family. Employees leave chores undone, leave early and purposely start drama. The staff is rarely ever united.Lindsey Labradore abuses her privileges, taking three or four meals when were allowed one. She bullies kitchen staff and screams almost constantly. She handles food without washing her hands which is disturbing considering she’s scratching her butt half the time. She works part time staff easily 40 hour week yet refuses to give them benefits. The care staff are similarly inept. The flu hit the staff and only 48 hours after were warnings released. While having diarrhea and vomiting I was cleared to work, which should be a huge turn off considering I was a dishwasher. In and of itself that facility is not a safe haven for your loved ones.

Partners Dad is here in retirement and care, the building has many issues, and could be repaired and improved for retired people in need. Also the flap going in the front door people trip on it all the time, and my partners dad has fallen there several times, a flat flush door jam should be installed here at the entrance to the lobby! Dangerous!
