I went to Dr. Loaiza for years with a condition that has proved almost impossible to treat. (He is one of ELEVEN neurologists I have been to in the past 12 years.) He has an excellent bedside manner, and he never gave up on me. (I have literally had doctors tell me, I dont know what to do with you.) I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a neurologist.
After 20 years seizure free I experienced the start of a really bad seizure at home on 1/28/2016. I was rushed to the hospital where I didnt know what I was doing and having seizure after seizure. Dr. Loieza found I was having status epilepticus and tried every medication under the moon. Nothing worked I crawled out of the machine. I didnt know what I was doing. Then after finding depicote I improved went home a couple days and ended up aback in the hospital same scenario this time I stays till April 1st. Medications are controlling my seizures Anymore so I am going in for a VnS. The doctor was always extremely caring and companionate. He sensed how frustrating it was for me to live in this defective body. I wish he practiced outside of Parkwest inpatient.
