Kayla (front desk) is extremely rude and generally seems annoyed anytime she is spoken to by a patient/parent. She is actually the reason I decided to leave a review.We’ve been once and while the doctor was friendly, I waited in the exam room for over an hour with an extremely anxious 3 year old who was already not feeling well and is terrified of going to the doctor.Fast forward a couple of weeks, we had a 4 year old wellness visit scheduled for today and we were running 5 minutes behind. I called ahead to let them know we were still coming but we were running a little late. Kayla immediately was trying to reschedule me. I questioned it and she got very indignant and said “Yeah, there is no ‘grace’ period so no. AND you were TOLD to be here at 9:30 for a 10 am appointment so??”To be clear, there was no point in which I was told to arrive at 9:30. The appointment was at 10 so it seems reasonable that I would aim for 10 to avoid putting myself and my child in a doctors office waiting room for longer than absolutely necessary(especially given the current situation with COVID). Now, I am headed home with my daughter who is going to be a wreck until this doctor appointment is over (as mentioned earlier, she is terrified of going to the doctor). Overall I am extremely disappointed with my experience. This office came highly recommended by other moms in the area but I am honestly starting to think that it could just be the fact that it’s a nice/new office. We went ahead and rescheduled the appointment for later today just so that we can get it done but we will not be returning.

We love Dr. Jaynes, all the nurses and the front desk staff at Hardin Valley Pediatrics. Dr. Jaynes never makes me feel rushed as I ask all my first-time-mom questions, and she is so kind to my one year old daughter.

Dr.Jaynes is the best doctor i have found for my children so far . She listens to my concerns and always reassures me and takes them suriously .

If you want a Dr that will listen to your concerns then Dr Jaynes is the Dr for you. She is very attentive to each pt. Your child is very important to the entire staff and will always be their main concern.

I love Hardin Valley Pediatrics! Dr. Jaynes and her staff are amazing. If you are looking for a pediatrician that listens and cares about her patients then I would definitely recommend Dr. Jaynes.

I would give this review a good one but I’m highly upset as a new mom with a one year old boy. Today and last week my son went to his pediatrician. They told my mom who took him, saying he has allergies that’s why he is coughing and that his lungs sounded good. My mom notice wheezing and his coughing got worse so we took him to Children’s Hospital urgent Care. They found pneumonia in his chest. After a day my son got worse so we brought him to east children’s hospital by Fort Sanders. They notice his pneumonia getting worse and oxygen levels where low. They prescribed my son antibiotic for his pneumonia. Today I went back to his pediatrician because he has red spots bigger than a quarter all Over his body. And his doctor said it was MOSQUITO BITE AND THAT HIS BODY IS JUST ACTING THAT WAY TO THE BITE. AND IT IS NOT A ALLERGIC REACTION TO HIS ANTIBIOTIC AND FOR ME TO KEEP TAKING THE ANTIBIOTIC TIL IT WAS DONE. And the doctor’s nurse checked my sons oxygen levels and it was at 80 three times and she didn’t know what she was doing til it hit 93. So I went home as soon as I changed my sons diaper, he was covered in red spots. We are back at east children’s hospital spending 2 nights, with oxygen tubes in my child’s nose because we did a test and found walking pneumonia and that’s where his rash is coming from. I will be finding a new pediatrician for blowing my son off basically.

My grandson has had a milk allergy and after a visit they suggested that he see a GI doctor and they would call his mother with an appointment which they never did and changed his formula which 2 days later we found out it was a milk based formula after a ER visit. I have suggested that my daughter find a new pediatrician since getting a call back from the nurse never happened after she called and left a message because he was lethargic and not feeding well. They obviously care more about money than the patient.

The staff and Doctor here are very helpful and professional. They have a calming presence every time Im there... Theyre very efficient and get you in and out of the office quickly

I have been taking my twin girls here since they were newborns (now 5 months old) and we love the staff and Dr. Jaynes! So knowledgable and friendly, I love that they have a sick waiting area and a well waiting area as well as a newborn waiting area!!! I also like that they are associated with East TN Children’s Hospital for more serious issues that may arise! If you are looking for a clean, friendly, and trustworthy doctor’s office for your children...trust me, you can’t go wrong here!

They got my grandson in quickly and it’s nice to have a clean, well staffed place close to home that takes tenncare.

I was so disappointed to find out that the new etch at hardin valley location distinguishes or discriminates against children based on the type insurance the child has...shame on you. This policy should be changed. It is suppose to care for children not refuse them.
