This place should really be shut down. I was falsely admitted by my mother and how there policies are on treating patients…your treated like a dog…you definitely will not come out better. I would NEVER recommend this place for anyone having mental issues…you are forced to act crazy due to the conditions and just watched on the cameras…I only give one star to staff that let me feel human while I was there…and Doc I hope you loose your liscense…he is just a pill pusher…doesn’t even listening to you…you have to obey him or the won’t let you out, even when u know it’s wrong…park place you violated my privacy!!! I told you NOT to let my mom know what was going on….like every staff member there…and she could still watch me on the cameras!!! She lied on the report…so she could watch me breakdown and suffer…I will be looking into a lawyer….because I feel so violated…

HORRIBLE! Poor communication and every worker including the doctor seems lazy. Everyone’s there for a paycheck. Nothing more, nothing less. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional. One employee tells you this and another will tell something else. I also called to speak to my family member, so I gave them her medical id number and the person put two different patients on the phone. Social worker doesn’t answer the phone. Nurse was supposed to call about medications (never did). During discharge the person said their system was down and there were some discharge papers he could not print out. EVERY employee seemed to have an excuse for something! I’m in total disbelief with my experience here.

It takes weeks for them to return your calls, bad communication between staff and patients, they won’t return your calls. Terrible experience in general.

Went in to do a therapy intake and left with a script of medication. Had a second appointment and script was changed. Who TF who prescribes antidepressants after meeting a person for 20 minutes? Im not even depressed. Both scripts ended up in the trash and this place is on the list of clinics to stay far, far way from. Oh, and they never gave me a therapist. Also, I never actually saw a doctor. Nurses who took a prescribing psych drugs class are writing scripts. My guess is they keep patients by prescribing. Thats bs.

I have attempted calling several times with no response over a span of weeks. I do not recommend.

So I emailed them last week with 5 pills left from my prescription. Apparently I had missed an appointment, with no phone phone call, voice mail, or email reminder. Ive been a patient here for years.Today, I have 1 pill left, call to find out why I havent received a response of any kind, the lady that answered the phone (maybe a nurse with a West Indian accent) was super rude to me. She screamed that she couldnt hear me and when I started to speak Standard English she could suddenly barely hear me, but could hear me enough to tell me that my prescription cant be refilled and that I would have to wait two days for an appointment.My prescription medication when stopped cold turkey can cause anxiety, sleep problems, and even psychosis. When she read on the computer what I was on, she said it like she was saying a dirty word, without knowing anything about me. No offers to contact one of the providers on my behalf knowing what withdrawal symptoms are like, no offer to request an emergency supply until I can speak with a provider. Just, you can call if theres a cancelation Granted It was my fault for missing my appointment, but to play fast and loose with someones mental health, thats uncool.Now, Ive been able to withstand the negative side effects of withdrawal before, but it was horrible. I hope I can do the same this time, but to be spoken to, like a child and yelled at, thats not cool.

This place does more harm then good,people who need help get ignored and forgotten. And nobody seems to give any answers.My wife was there for 3 days before she was seen by anyone or told anything, they didnt even give her a pillow to sleep on at night. All they do is make patients sit in a room and watch tv all day. That Is Not Help.She was supposed to be seen by a doctor on her 3 day and go home, the doctor left for the day without seeing her or even saying a thing to her.This place is getting reported and if anyone needs help, PLEASE I beg all of you to look somewhere else. This place will NOT help. They will only worsen the situation.

The doctor refused to share what medication he was giving a patient, even though the patient was compliant. He kept instructing said patient to lie in his belly and would not tell him what he is about to inject him with. This patient is also a marine corps veteran and was being treated as if he was a criminal.

Stacy and DD were great with my needs as I stayed 3 nights. Just wish they had more for patients to do during their stay there.

This place must be investigated by the police and government! What a terrible job in contacting family members! Their excuse is, Their system has been down for two weeks! I bet you social worker Lynella ext. 1022 used that excuse on another caring family member 2 weeks ago! I promise you I will have the proper authorities investigate this place! The police had taken my sister Susan on a false Baker Act 911 false call! Getting my lawyer involved right now as we speak! All the social worker asked me for was for my sisters insurance card! She didnt even tell me how my sister was doing! This does not happen in NY or Connecticut! Please watch out for your loved ones!

I was baker acted here and it was horrific. I was not given a change of clothes or even a pair of socks and wore what I came in with for two horrific days. I was not suicidal as they claim but they forced me to stay until my Dad told them I had a baby at home at which point I was miraculously released. Everyone is thrown in together. A grown man with obvious mental issues threatened me more than once and even the nurse told me to go back in my room just to not be near him. I was so shocked from the experience I almost fainted. Thank God my Father called and requested I be released.

The psychiatric nursing practitioners that say their doctors are giving out heavy medication. To people like me who do not need that kind of prescription. Without asking anything about me. These prescriptions were awful I had to take myself off of them. If theyre doing this to me. God knows how many other people theyve done it to. If I would have stayed on those prescriptions that they gave me I would have been mentally disabled.? Sincerely Vivian Lord

I had a family member in here worst place ever. Please dont put your children in here if they need help.

The Pharmacy is terrible, everyone I have spoken to is extremly rude and unhelpful. They have messed up my seven year old daughters medication 3 times now and left her with out her A.D.H.D medication for days on end. I was told a nurse would callme back to get things straightend out,it has been a week still no word. DO NOT go here! Only put one star because I had to, honestly deserves NONE!

I must say that this is a great place. The staff is very welcoming and make you feel extremely comfortable. They will do whatever it takes to help you and to make sure that your needs are met. The food at this place is top notch. I have never been to a place where they will let you there without insurance and it be as clean as it was and the meals being on point. They have helped me in so many ways at Park Place. I would recommend anyone in my own family to go here if they needed to. Counseling is very good and I felt safe during my visit. I would highly recommend them for anyone who does not have insurance and wants to be able to get there life back together. They will go that extra mile to get you prepared. Thank you Park Place.Please note. Don’t listen to these other reviews from some of these people. There obviously people who haven’t followed the program or want to be there for something else instead of what the program is intended for.

I BEG YOU TO AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!! They will literally cause you a mental breakdown. I’ll be taking my brother to another and better center. This is literally HELL. The customer service is the worst i’ve ever experienced in the medical field. Completely awful!

If I could give no stars, I would. They referred my grandfather who has dementia and a multitude of issues to an “assisted living facility” come to find out that the assisted living facility he was taken too was another person’s home who was NOT certified to take care of patients. Stay the hell away if you can, and if you have family at the “Emmanuel home care” on green finch way in Kissimmee, please please please get your loved ones from that place ASAP. the “nurse” doesn’t do her job; only to find out she also is not certified. I spoke to someone through the state who confirmed she was not a nurse also! Have a lawyer hired already and contacted law enforcement as well.

If you can avoid this place for yourself or a loved one, please do so. They do not have any sort of group therapy, they gather you in a circle with the rest of the patients and ask you how you are feeling (1-10) and most people lied and said 10 just so they can leave, and if you say you are feeling sad, they do not offer support (I guess it’s just for their records) and also I witnessed a staff mock a patient for his answer in front of the group. On one specific day I was very sad to see that a patient was complaining that the medicine he was being given was closing his throat and he was fearful, he was very respectful. The nurses just kept ignoring him and said that if he doesn’t want the medicine they will just inject him. The patient just said “they don’t care, if I die it’ll just be another patient” can’t really blame him for those feelings. Another incident was a girl I got close to was having a panic attack and screaming and crying and I left my room to check what was going on (I assumed they would be helping her through her tough time) but I had to comfort her and they just kept talking amongst each other and laughing, you would think they are trained to know how to properly help patients or atleast have a heart to help. I also only told 2 minutes of why I was there (wasn’t given a proper test to recieve any kind of diagnosis) and everyone in the room was mentioning different diagnosis and I know they are false because I have been properly diagnosed by my therapist and psychiatrist who has given me a proper test and has known me longer. They also were supposed to let me go after 3 days but kept me there for four because the nurse made a mistake with my medication which I understand they have to see how I react, but I woke up bright and early the next day and was told to go home so they didn’t really see how I would react. I also wasn’t allowed to see the doctor at my request; I was shood away. This place needs to be checked out by law enforcement, it is not good at all.

So I’m 16, and I was admitted for a suicide attempt during an episode. I had no idea where exactly I was going, I feel that should’ve been mentioned to someone being taken half an hour away from home in handcuffs. Anywho, I arrive at this place, and I have to fill out some paperwork. Warranted. After about 20 minutes, a doctor takes me to the common area (since I’m a minor, I’m in the minors crisis unit, so this is my own experience.) Again, I fill out some paperwork. A nice nurse takes me to the bathroom where I have to pull everything down and do a urine sample. (I slipped up so they had to take it again, but they never did.) I’m taken to my room with two other people, and I settle in for the night. I’m not sure exactly WHY they decide to take blood pressure at 6 A.M., but okay. Breakfast is okay. Some nurses are cool and they let you do things like play cards and watch tv which is supposed to happen after dinner, but other nurses don’t let you do anything except for talk to the other STRANGERS, (lol, PATIENTS), and hand out word finders for the next 3 hours. (We usually only got two of these.) Lunchtime, phone calls, they’re nice enough to let you call again if your guardian doesn’t pick up the phone. They’ll call you into another room to evaluate, get a feel for who you are, etc. This is where they decide what meds to start you on based on their literally 1-2 day diagnosis, (which to me isn’t long enough.) Quiet time I feel like, is just where they send everyone while the nurses are on their breaks. (You sit in your room for 2 hours. If you wanna talk to your roommates, it’s gotta be quiet as hell, but mine talked too loudly w me so they got moved.) We don’t really get to go outside, either. It just depends on which staff you get. Dinner time is after quiet time, you spend the next 6 hours in the common area where it’s FREEZING, medication, and bedtime after snack and phone calls.So here’s a list of pros.Pros:1. They really go ham with the food. They make sure you don’t go hungry for the day. 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. Not bad.2. They take away things that you could potentially hurt yourself with.3. You can (mostly) talk about anything with the other patients.4. They give you a second go at getting someone to answer during your phone call time.5. If your family didn’t bring clothes, they have socks and other miscellaneous clothes to wear6. They’re usually pretty friendly staff members to work with, pretty sweet people.7. As long as your roommates (if you have any) agree, you can make your room whatever temp you want due to the ac on the window that you’re allowed to control.Cons:1. The rules feel a little overbearing. (No touching other patients, meaning you can’t hug your friend when they leave, no cursing, no hair ties, shoelaces, strings, no sharing info like social media, phone numbers, socks can’t be too high, etc.)2. The clothes that your family brings takes at LEAST a day to process, so be ready to rewear your clothes.3. The shampoo really tends to dry out your hair, mine felt like straw. The body wash is also very tacky feeling on your skin. One of the bristles of the tooth brush got stuck in between my back teeth for a week, which was not fun.4. Some beds are quite literally gym mats. I wish I was kidding.5. No phones. Obviously. But it does get a little boring and it would have been nice to have at least monitored phone time to listen to music, or say hello to a friend.6. They take the strings and laces and hair ties away from you. Like, cut them off your pants or jacket. Kinda overkill imo.7. You’re not allowed to have something like a comfort object in there with you. I would’ve loved to have one of my stuffed animals with me.8. Anything you bring in that isn’t your clothing gets taken away.9. Instead of having some alone time to cry or work out your emotions, they pretty much insist on speaking to them while you’re crying in the hallway right next to everyone else. Not a fan.

This place runs like a construction company with all the nurses working under one single doctor and doing his job. When i requested a single appointment with the Doctor the assistant told me he is not taking new clients even if i already have records in that facility . Also requested for the supervisor😡 and he was also not available.

The doctor not smart because I told him the medication was is working I told him I just quit taking them and told him put me back on them he did not put me back on it then he put me on something else and he also did not put me on my medication for seizures he told me to get it for my neurologist and they advertise groups they had only 1 group when I was there

Absolute worse service you could possibly imagine. The billing and insurance department is unorganized. I had provided my insurance information and the facility never billed my insurance. This caused the bill to go to collections! Do not go here if you want to better your mental health. it will just stress you out and cause further harm instead of helping you heal. Its just not a safe place. Go to Central Florida Behavioral right by sea world! Better physicians, psychs and staff that care about you and make you chuckle once in while during any treatment. If could only give this less than one star.

Very disappointing. Called for information after three days never received a call back. Left messages to Social workers and no response. This kind of facilities need to have a very good communication and my experience was very poor. Go to a facility that can answer quick.

The service on the phone with Nicole Miss was absolutely horrible. These people work in a behavioral institution and don’t know how to interact or handle someone who is obviously upset and frustrated. I was on hold for over 15 minutes and then transferred to only be hung up on. Then I called back again. No one even answered I just got hung up on. Then I called again and Nicole Miss picked up. I told her can I please speak to someone higher up. She asked why I told her why and she started making excuses. I told her I don’t need to hear them I just want to speak to someone higher up. She told me if I didn’t calm down and let her talk she would hang up on me. That is not how you empathize with anyone. What kind of person tries to make the patient more angry than they already are. Horrible assistance no assistance at all. I had to leave a voicemail for the manager. At the end of the day I didn’t get what I needed. You’d think the people working in this place would be more concerned about why people are calling in for certain things. But my service showed 0 concern or empathy. I am beyond upset. I understand they deal with a lot and the place is super busy but my treatment was uncalled for and unnecessary.

Total waste of time!Even if you confirm your appointment they will still turn you away!I taken off work 3 days now! Every time I tried to get in this place it’s a different excuse each time the ladies tell me!I will never ever come here again! Not will my kids either!They need to fire these office ladies! Waited a month for an appointment, to see a counselor, which is not so bad. But once I arrived and they saw my insurance, they dont have any appointments Available and it is a long waiting list. But if I I self pay, I can be seen right away. Dont waste your time at this place

Buckle up folks, this place is a dumpster fire pretending to be a mental health facility. If there was an option to give this place 0 stars, I would have chosen that option.There is not a single time I have gone to either location and been seen on time. The shortest wait Ive had, was 25 minutes, and the longest is 2.5 HOURS. They obviously have no concept of time management, and dont bother telling anyone what is going on. A medication check up is ideally supposed to take 10 minutes (they schedule 6 patients an hour), But things happen. Yesterday I waited an hour to be seen when my appointment was 1 hour after they opened. How behind are you in a single hour, that you cant take responsibility for your issues as a company. They blamed it on me showing up late, when in fact i was early. The one time in two years that I was late, they said they said theyd try and squeeze me in. In two years they have never been on time, but the single time i show up three minutes late, they were running on time.While i understand it is not the fault of any individual staff member, for this companys blatant lack of organization, It is still very frustrating. It is evident that your recovery is not more important than spending your money on pills and therapy. Your time is not valued, and your mental health is unimportant in the eyes of Park Place. Had I been given the option of any other Behavioral Health Provider, I would have never even considered this one.

Lack of integrity and respect, they took 24 hrs to register my son in the system, very disorganized.

I showed up to my appointment on time and it took them literally about 2 hours for them to see me. Once I got back I was placed with an intern! I was just happy someone came to get me. After sitting with the intern the doctor came in and asked her to “present” my case. As if I was not in the room.The intern gave her recommendation of what I needed and then decided to adjust it when we were talking privately. In total I probably spent close to 4 hours of my day at this facility.NOW; I am currently at an appointment that I came minutes late for because my GPS took me to 206 Park Place and the tell me that that my appointment was never confirmed and than it changed to because I came late it was canceled by the system. I was told that the doctor that’s scheduled to see has 15 minute appointments and if you’re even 1 minute late it will automatically be cancelled. But she take 30-45 minutes per patient... How does this even make sense to schedule patients so closely if you know the doctor takes much longer than that?It’s my firm belief that this is nothing more than a business for these people! They DO NOT and CANNOT care about people or their patients!! If they did there would be more compassion. They’re literally over booking appointments to get insurance money!

I wish i could give them no stars. I really hate this place and my son will not return. First time i was 3 minutes late they turned us away from being seen. But yet last appt i had we had to wait 45 min to be seen. How does this add up??? I wish they would just get shut down or hire new people!!!

Park place is basically a prison the food sucks. The staff is eh Mrs.Nancy is annoying very by the book Mr.Louis works the night shift and us pretty cool. I had a good time only because the people there kids that understand you. You build relationships and have bonds that will never be broken. You can’t really tell the staff and the doctors how you feel because you’ll have to stay there longer. If your baker acted you have to stay there for 3-5 days, they day 72 hours (3 days) but it depends if they see your not getting better they keep you there.

I only been to Park Place for aboit 2 or 3 months now and i love it. The staff is amazing.

Went in today to find out what option was best for my case. The woman aiding me was extremely helpful and knowledgable about what the first step I needed to take in order to set myself on the right path.I am set up for an appointment this Thursday and WILL review EVERY DETAIL after going through the entirety of the process.Wish me luck & Fingers crossed I receive the correct help to feel normal again!!!!!!!!!

Was not allowed to return to the 1 month progran, after i finished the detox because i failed test for marijuana after i finished 6 day detox. Only thing good about the detox was that they loaded you up on sleep meds to help sleep through the withdrawals

Park place is horrible! The physicists are the worst in central Florida. Someone else said this they literally try to talk you into having bipolar disorder and get you hooked on crazy pills you dont need. They wont treat anxiety and if you tell them you have anxiety they label you a pill seeker right off the bat. Please dont go here their are so many other places that actually want to help you park place is not one of them. They are extremely rude they make you feel like you should of never even asked for help. I cant put into words how horrible these people make you feel. I was nervous to go somewhere else after this experience but it was worth it. I wish I could talk to everyone individually who was even thinking of going here its the wrong move. Im in the process of talking to the better business bureau someone needs to do something they are treating people with mental illness like crap it needs to be shut down immediately. They are wrongly diagnosing children with bipolar just so theyll end up in their inpatient treatment they dont believe adults can have ADHD its just so wrong everything about this place everything about these physicists is wrong!!!

I called to get information on how to handle a situation we had never encountered at our office. I was directed to the inpatient department. Lisa answered my call. I began to introduce myself and before I could finish saying what my call was in regards, Lisa felt she knew what I was calling about and decided to cut me off mid-sentence to tell me she is going to transfer me to the health insurance dept. Still in shock that I was so rudely interrupted, I kindly advised her that I am not calling in regards to billing and if she would be kind enough to listen and give me a chance to say what I needed, Im sure she would know how to answer the call. Lisa then continues to eat in my ear as I try to explain my clients needs. Ive contacted management in regards, lets hope the rest of the staff do not have such low quality of customer service.Overall, Lisa was unprofessional, uninformative, and overall rude. Will not refer anyone to this place based off of my first impression, and to think it that it was only a phone call! Talk about a serious need of professional training.

Pretty much a prison. Horrible food. And the mattresses were cold and hard and I woke with back pain (Im only 22). Youre not treated like a person. They strip you of your clothes and dignity. Bathrooms are gross, staff are rude as hell, the doctor was also rude and just kept talking over me. DO NOT GO HERE

Unorganized, unprofessional , and long wait times. My son has been a patient for many months and there always seems to be some type of communication issue on their end, so you wait and wait to see a doctor. Today we were 9 minutes late to our appointment, due to an accident on our way, drove nearly an hour and a half and were told we would be put on a waiting list for the afternoon and if they had any patient not show up, then maybe we could be seen. I explained we wait for them all the time, how could they not return the courtesy since we were only 9 minutes late. I asked what their tardy policy was and was told they did not have one. The receptionist stated she did inform Dr. Alcobas’s nurse that we had arrived but was waiting for a response regarding if or when we could be seen. We waited nearly 30 minutes and decided it was time to move on. We will not be going back.

I have to admit..once I read all the reviews I was so worried that i had made the wrong choice on where to bring my son his 1st time to get help for his ADHD ODD and now DMDD. Yes intake did take about 2 hours..but to be expected. I was able to speak to my son twice a day and I was able to visit him on his 2nd evening there. I was very pleased with how clean the facility was..and how kind and secure the staff was. My son actually loved it! He was telling me about his new friends and his group sessions and his ability to relax as he got use to his new meds. I got the call that he is ready to go home and my son doesnt wanna go home! He felt like he was on a little vacation away from his 4 siblings. Im grateful to finally have a diagnoses so he can continue getting the help he needs. I was more worried about him being away from me..but now that i know that he was safe, cared for and content..id reccomend this place to any parent looking for help with their defiant or struggling child.

If i didnt have to give it a star a I WOULDNT this place is horrible. if your sending your kids there theyre really going to suffer. they honestly just keep you there for more insurance money. go to central florida behavioral food,beds,staff,privileges are WAY better!

I Escaped Very easily. The police tried to locate me but I left to Puerto Rico just a couple hours later. Lucky they didnt catch up to me or one of them may have just simply vsnished. I did myself a huge favor by protecting them by protecting myself

They do NOT take mental health seriously. The phones are never answered. They cancel the appointment you made with them if you do not call 24 to 48 hours before the appointment and confirm. You read that right , why bother making an appointment that takes weeks to get because they dont return calls or answer the phone to then loose your appointment because you the patient cant get through 24/48 hours before the appointment to let them know you will be there for the appointment you called and made weeks ago because there first available is over a month away. (They make you sign a contract that you will adhere to there rediculous made up rules) Policy and paperwork and phones are rediculous ,dont waist your time and agrivation. Go literally anywhere else!!

I am being treated for PTSD from this place from my psychiatrist! Been to central florida. Park place should be shut down. Food poisoning, nasty staff. Doctor is a joke. Puts you a lithium and I mean everyone! Hated it no stars if I could

This place sucked. they took absolutely nothing that i said seriously, and the overall experience is still affecting me. they gave me a pill that is usually used for fibromyalgia or trigrminal myalgia and then said it has anti depressant in it. my oldest sister is a pharmacy technician and knows exactly what it is for plus my mom and grandma take the exact same pill at the same strength. the day time shift nurse was very rude. we never got to talk to anybody whatsoever unless we were speaking out loud sharing what we wrote during group therapy. and the food,,, it was so bad i’m having eating issues now. i used to be hungry on a normal schedule but after having park place food, i now have a very irregular appetite and it’s affectig me to this day. i am truly worse than i was before being baker acted because i am currently on the path of figuring out if i am boarderline. i am still on the anti depressant they put me on but the strength was brought up to 60 and is currently being used for sleep. i basically went absolutely nowhere from being baker acted. i will admit though, the other kids that were there, were pretty fun. i made friends who surprisingly live close by to me... i think that was the only good thing about this experience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

My daughter was recently released and she is worse. She is no longer speaking to me and has blocked me from her phone. She informed me that the doctor was rude, a woman was following her, then tried to fight her. It sucks when you do not have health insurance. I have been trying to get her on Medicaid for months but we keep getting the run around.

This place is awful my son is 8 years old he was baker act because of his aggressiveness in school. All the do is shoot the kids up med meds and have them sleeping all day without eating. He didn’t shower because he was told they didn’t work. I brought him clothing and he never got to change. They gave him meds without my approval. Please don’t alllow your kids to come here. It’s death

I was baker acted about 3 times in my younger teenage years, and it wasnt the best experience. The doctors look down on you and some of the staff continually made inappropriate remarks and didnt take your mental illness seriously. All they do is medicate you and if you pretend youre alright theyll realease you in no time.My younger sister who is autistic and low functioning was also under a baker act because of her aggressive behavior. They would also medicate her with prescriptions not fitting for her symptoms and disability. When she was released the next day she had a seizure and HAD STOPPED BREATHING for a few seconds,, because the medication they were giving her was not supposed to be mixed with the ones she was already taking. If you have a choice, this place shouldnt be your first (or second to be frank).

Terrible, I was given a 12 week course, just cause. The lady that evaluated me told me the evaluation was semantics and that I was going to receive treatment regardless of my answers. This place is a disgrace to the mental health care in Central Florida. I had signed up for dual evaluation, later they didnt know if it was or wasnt. Ive never received any call back from anyone Ive called to leave a complaint with. If you go there your life will be reduced to revenue for their organization. Terrible, simply terrible.

Terrible experience. Had an appointment with Dr. Japhet Gaztambide. He had a very condescending attitude towards me, didnt take me seriously, and treated me like I was faking my condition. Kept talking over me and would not allow me to explain myself and why I need help.He claimed that my suicide attempts were not legitimate because I didnt try to hang myself, that I just looked depressed, said that I was screwed for my new job because they will make you work for 12 hours, that I didnt have anxiety nor the personality disorder I was previously diagnosed with from another mental health care provider, lowered my doses for my medication claiming the less, the better and that the cure to my depression is getting myself in thousands of dollars in debt I cant afford in college (and refused to take no for an answer) and told me unless I did it I was screwed. He also claimed that I was just immature, trying to solve my problems with pills and just needed to learn how to deal with my problems when he doesnt understand that I need the medication to function. I dont even like being medicated but it is something I need. I was never notified beforehand that they didnt prescribe Ativan to patients due to their policies and, in the end, was left with no anxiety medication whatsoever. I have been without medication for weeks and they are very slow with their appointments, only to make you waste your time by telling you youre just depressed. I would never recommend anyone come to this place. Please find another psychiatrist that will take you and your case seriously, otherwise, please dont receive service here.

Dont come here. They are the worst by all means. Shots in the butt to go to sleep due to me being hard of hearing and couldnt hear sometimes. I was put to sleep. They ingore me and wouldnt help me. Dont have your love ones come here

This place has bed bugs, I was there before being discharged they sent me to the hospital my legs were bitten by bedbugs. I’m hoping they pay my bill from the other hospital if not I’m getting me a lawyer, there going to have to pay my bill and I also want a compensation.

There are two types of baker act. You can sign yourself in or you are brought there in handcuffs. My reccomendation is that you DO NOT sign yourself in. Especially for your kids. All they do is drug you up even when you dont need it. The other kids there are more helpful than the actual staff is. The kids there help you and tell you tricks and secrets the staff doesnt. Whatever you do, dont be honest about how youre feeling. Theyll just keep you there longer. Also, do not take any medication because once you are prescribed with meds, they have to hold you there longer to make sure they work. And if they dont work, they give you new medication and you have to stay there even longer. Vitals are terrible. Youll be sleeping and you wake up at like 4am to a thermometer in your mouth and the blood pressure thing on your arm. There are video cameras in the room and youre not allowed to close the doors and they dont let you sleep in the dark either so it takes forever to fall asleep. You cant have hairties or shoelaces bc theyre afraid youre gonna hang yourself. Only a few drops of water comes out of the shower head because theyre afraid youre gonna try to drown yourself so you have to stand there with a cup and wait for it to fill up to shower. The water is freezing cold and leaks at night so the room always gets moldy because of the water. There are no windows and there are no clocks so you basically have no way of telling the time of day and that literally makes you go insane. The employees are trash and are really disrespectful. There was a kid (8 years old) who was baker acted and he had schizophrenia and a history of sexual and physical abuse by his parents. The employees grabbed him by the arm and were pulling him and he was yelling at them and screaming get your hands off of me and they would continue to pull him and they got him on the floor and they held him there and wouldnt let him move and he was there screaming. This is a kid with diagnosed ptsd and he told them not to touch him and they still did. Thats messed up. The only thing keeping me sane there was the other patients. You end up having a really strong bond with all of them and it feels like a family.

Policies have changed making it hard to get your meds or see a psychiatrist/therapist...dont go here it will be the worst decision you have ever made!!!

I entered the Residential 1 program in Sep of 2016. I was only 4 days clean from a 2year opiate and meth binge. I had lost everything but my life. I spent the next 26 days in recovery. This place saved my life. I was with a group of other women and shared a room with 2 others. We had three hot hearty meals a day plus snax. Watched t.v. relaxed. Exercised in the gym and spent 4hours a day in counseling learning why I was self medicating. I am 1year clean this month. I had the best experience here. Staff was awsome, caring and understanding. I was able to call my family and even have them visit after 2 weeks. I cant thank park place enough for the life they gave me back.

The beds are plastic covered 2 foam on plywood beds. And the pillows are even worse. Sometimes you get pillow cases and sometimes you dont. The food is hauled in from the devils kitchen. It all tastes the same, disgusting. Be careful because if you are in your room when the food is served you will not eat. There are no clocks so it is impossible to tell when it is meal time. I have seen the staff eat the patients food because the patient was sleeping and the staff would not go and get them. You get maybe 10 minutes with the Doctor , if you can call him that, on your initial visit and he diagnoses you in that time. If you have insurance you see him for 5 minutes each day. If you dont have insurance you see him everyother day. Some of the staff needs to be fired and replaced with caring people who understand the paitients. I saw some of the staff be quite violent with the patients and others that just did not care. I realize they have to deal with difficult people day in and day out, but they chose the job. If you dont like the job then find another one. I was never told what the names of the medications I took. I guess they think people with mental illness are all stupid individuals and are unable to understand what they are saying. All I do know is that if you refuse for ANY reason, you will be held down against your will and given a shot that makes you sleep for a full day. For that person who said to ignore the negative comments, you either work there and you were never a patient there.

Ever wonder why no one else will accept medicaid expect park place? Because they have the worst physcriasts ever and they really have no choice because nobody with good insurance would ever even consider this place!! Outpatient care is horrible they do not know how to treat any mental illness besides bipolar and depression if you dont have those they will do everything in their power to talk you into having it then they will tell you you cant be treated for the mental illness you actually have until you take bipolar pills and antidepressants. A bunch of quacks! Listen to the reviews stay far away from this place stay far away from these physcriasts or you will end up physically addicted to pills you dont need!!

I dont understand this place at all. People Cole here for help and it seems the only solution is shoving drugs down the patients throat. I had an appointment today with a therapist but the doctors at the facility must have found it unnecessary and decided to cancel and scheduled a medication appointment in its place. This facility needs shut down immediately.

DO NOT GO HERE! I signed myself in hoping to get some help with my anxiety and depression and they told me after 24hrs I could sign myself out and leave and since I did not want to harm myself or others and that the doctor would more than likely release me the next day after speaking to me. They also told me they had plenty of almost-new clothes that I could wear and they would allow me to use my tampons but the nurse would hold onto them. Well, the moment I got in the back the nurse told me I would be there more than 24hrs and that they never allowed tampons... umm WHAT? I would have never signed myself in if I was not allowed to use my tampons. Well I still thought the doctor would let me go home the next day, if not I could sign myself out, right? NO. That night one girl freaked out and 10 people followed her around and gave her the shot it IT DID NOTHING to her.. they followed her around and allowed her to continue to threaten people. I was told that it did not matter if she was mocking me they only intervened if she was going to hit me. Well I slept through the night hoping to leave the next day. Saw the doctor she made me sign for medication and would not tell me the side effects, she then said I would leave the next morning. I started to cry and she said okay thank you and basically kicked me out of her office. Oh not to mention there were like five other people in her office who were listening to my session with her, no privacy. After five minuets with the doctor, after I was kicked out, my social worker told me to collect myself and stop crying or else the doctor would keep me longer. NOW I can not even cry. All you could do was sit there and stare at the wall while others talked to themselves, talked on the phone, paced around, hogged the TV, or slept all day. I felt worse in this place than I did when I entered this place. They didnt have any underwear and I had to ask several times for clean clothes so I could shower. Half of the other girls I talked to didnt even know they could ask for shower stuff or that someone was allowed to bring them clothes. This place is a wreck. AVIOD this place. I was scared the entire time I was in there and I felt the need to act happy and smile and force myself not to cry so they would allow me to leave EVEN-THOUGH I was voluntary and should have been allowed to sign myself out whenever. What they fail to tell you in admission is that it has to be 24hrs after you see the doctor so your doctor can see how your meds are affecting you. My doctor did not even see me again before I left and my chest hurts from the meds and I dont know why because my doctor would not see me today. This place just wants your insurance money, there was no help. Only pills, sleeping techs, and rude nurses who refuse to answer any questions.

Beds are awful nothing to do other than watch tv with everyone else wasnt made clear when i could leave, adol patient was nearly given an injection quite scary place people were okay, walked in took some notes woman asked if i was a cutter then smiled and walked off- wrong dose of meds, wouldnt give me correct after i told them, felt like a prison. said what they want to hear to leave, spoke to the doctor for probably 2mins and social worker for 5mins then that was it, felt very uncomfortable, but safe, refused to eat bc of anxiety related symptoms and agreed to eat in room- quite lenient PO lost my meds. had to be handcuffed? not a great exp with ppbh.

Phuuuuuuck parkplace!! They are a horrible disorganized fundfraud. Admnistration and legal department are the equivalent of toddlers playing house. .....however the actual councilers are great, worth getting to see them if they just had their own office with one secretary.

This place sucks, and the staff are incompetent!!!!! All they are worried about is charging you a co-pay for your scripts!!!! Took the person whom they assigned to be my caseworker two weeks to get me a cane!!!!!!! They are really behind when it comes to being helpful!!!!

An absolute terrible facility, theres no reason that a person should have a 32 day supply of meds and not be able to be seen until 2 weeks after there meds run out. Im disgusted.

I had a terrible experience when I was admitted here. The staff treat the patients horribly. I was locked in my room and was not provided meals at times. They haphazardly gave me medication without reviewing my history. Just a horrendous experience. I would give this place zero stars if I could.

The staff is very professional,the doctors are great, and the group therapy is fantastic, a great place!!!!!

Had an appointment at 9:30 am with nina and didnt get called back till 10:30am I just want to say thats ridiculous why is she always behind its like its not important for her to see clients on time at all, its not sometimes she is behind its all the time.

If this place has 5 stars, it will surely be the same employees. If you want your family member, friend or whatever, never take him to this place. It is the worst. Abusive with the patient who needs help and is in that place thinking of finding her. They tell you that they will treat you well and when you enter and your family member, everything changes. I had a relative for a few days. I did not know the place and I trust she was fortunately hospitalized for a few days. And they were the worst of her life .and I live with the pain of knowing that I took someone to this place to help him and they mistreated him. park place.
