Had to go in for a routine colonoscopy due to a polyp they found 5 years ago. After receiving the colonoscopy all seemed well and i was sent home. Later that night when i went to the bathroom it was pure blood coming out. I called the nurses hotline who recommended i go to the ER. I also called the after hours dr at the Gastro Health who wasnt concerned at all. After going to the ER, they monitored me for the night for blood loss and then sent me home. fast forward 3 days i was still having bowel movements that were pure blood after calling again they really had no concern about it, but after calling the nurse again they were extremely concerned and I inevitably ended up back at the ER where is was monitored for another 3 days where they drew my blood every 3 hours and had to go for another colonoscopy. Once the colonoscopy was completed they found 5 lacerations in the colon. My gastroenterologist told me after the fact he had only taken 1 biopsy the size a grain of rice, however it wasnt even communicated that we were gonna do any biopsies as there where no polyps present. Gastro Health also charged me for the 2nd colonoscopy and i was on the hook for the ER bills. All in all the Routine Colonoscopy cost me over $5000 out of pocket. I also never heard a word after that to check and see how i was doing. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs!

Dr Mason and his staff were so kind and professional during this early morning procedure. They make it as seamless as possible. This is quite an expensive procedure so do ensure with your insurance prior

Extremely unprofessional. I strongly urge you to go elsewhere. Kimberly Lavender and her Assistant displayed a complete ignorance and no manners. She was questioning my surgeons opinion and shes only a nurse. Their first question was if my mom was still alive. Not sure how my mom still being alive after my first visit there was relevant to my stomach problems. There was nothing in my family history related to stomach problems. I wonder if they are originally from Quebec.

Eastside Endoscopy in Issaquah performed a colonoscopy for me back in July 2019. The procedure was mostly uneventful other than the nurse had to repeatedly jab my left arm to administer the anesthesia. Later that night, my left arm started to hurt severely around the IV site. I ended up at the emergency room to get an injection of an inflammatory drug to make the pain go away. I cant prove that the nurse fumbling around with my arm caused the arm trauma but Ive never had any other trouble with the arm. The emergency room visit cost me nearly $2300 which Eastside Endoscopy refused to pay. I would recommend finding another provider that is willing to stand behind their work. Avoid Eastside Endoscopy.

Absolutely horrible service. I was told at the office before the procedure that my insurance covers it. Since then Ive been getting bills saying insurance didnt cover it. They split the bill by multiple providers (facility, surgery, anesthesia) and each bills me separately to the max. They all reply over phone to f... off and talk to insurance. Horrible service! Not recommended.

Let me tell you, I am not a person who writes negative reviews. I usually dont allow myself to get disappointment due to one negative experience. But the way they took care of my case was awful.Ive been a patient with Eastiside Gast for 6 years. I spent over 40 minutes on and off holds trying to schedule an appointment due to the bill that I payed in 2012. However, their records were not updated and it caused a huge deal of disappointment on how this situation was handled. I am okay with the fact that systems crash; communication gets lost, etc, but the way I was treated by a financial worker was so discouraging for me to continue seeking medical advise from Eastside Gast.

Last month I visited the facility for a second time, the first was 8 years ago. My procedure was performed by Dr. Arjal during both visits. I found the staff to be both polite and professional. Dr. Arjal took time to speak with me both before and after the procedure.I would definitely recommend Eastside Gastroenterology.

I have seen Dr. Justus over the past year and he is absolutely awful; very unprofessional, condescending, and not willing to hold his patients hand through the process of trying to find a personalized solution that works for them. He is quick to get rid of his patients, handing them PPI prescriptions and rushing them out the door. The last time I went in there hoping to gather more information about my acid reflux he discredited me, told me there was nothing else he could do to help but prescribe more PPIs or H2 blockers, and straight up told me nothing else can help you, I dont know what to do. Good luck before hurrying out the door only 10 minutes after he had finally showed up (45 minutes after my appointment was scheduled for)! Every time i go to Eastside Gastroenterology they are running extremely behind, nobody seems to know what is going on. One time when i went, I heard them sending everyone that had an appointment after me home because the doctor was so overbooked. I would not recommend this place if you want a doctor that is caring, attentive, and willing to work with you until a solution is found for your specific body.
