This place is great! They really listen to what you want. Make sure to be clear and they can do things out of the norm. Im not a big fan of clippers or product and they were able to give me a shortcut with scissors only. Definitely going back here again and again

I asked for a haircut. I even showed her a picture sample. She totally messed it. It was a terrible haircut that I ever had. And I dont understand why do they have mirrors infront as anyway she was keeping me facing the cashier the whole time so I dont see whats going on. That explains their quality and skill.

I just got my haircut and highlighted here recently and my stylist was Reylene she did an amazing job, I just showed her a few pictures of what I wanted done and she completely rocked it!!! I also love the vibe of the shop itself and the ladies were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would most definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back in the future!!!

Had called and made an appointment and when I arrived they asked me to wait outside for 5 minutes on a cold and windy day. I understand this due to COVID but after 20 minutes and no one coming out to update me, I went in and was told they were behind and it would be another 10 minutes. I just wish someone would have let me know so I could have just waited in my car.It would have been nice to communicate with the me that they were running behind.

Best hair salon in town! In addition to being crazy affordable, I love The Shop for their amazing stylists and fun atmosphere. I have yet to be unhappy about a haircut so I highly recommend checking it out for your next trim! If you happen to be able to pick who is cutting your hair, ask for Raylene, she’s the best!

The shop is uniquely unpretentious and accessible for all ages, genders, and hair types. It has a fun, upbeat vibe that is a welcome change from the majority of salons. I found a very skilled colorist who will do whatever I want, basically in a moments notice, including color correction, highlights, lowlights, deep conditioning, cut and blow out for a great value. My natural hair color is black/brown and super curly and is usually a challenge for most stylists.

Omg Kathy!! She did an amazing job on my cut and color today. I have a pretty sensitive scalp but she was able to bleach and tone my hair with zero pain or burns AND without sacrificing the final color. She got me to a gorgeous platinum blonde and gave me a wonderful fade. 10/10! I think I found my new stylist!

She is the ONLY person Im willing to touch my hair anymore! I even moved out of town, and then flew into town just for a hair cut! Might be pretty extra, but well worth it in my eyes 💖🥰

I came in with about 7-8 inches of hair and asked for a #6 on the sides and back and a touch up on the top, 2 inches max off the top. When I put my glasses on and saw that I had 2 inches of hair on top I was pretty upset. I cant part it to the side or put it up, I pretty much look like an elementary school boy. Aside from the stylistic dislikes (the hair will grow out eventually) she also cut my sideburns really uneven, one side is a whole half an inch shorter than the other side. If you like short hair then this is probably a fine place to go, service was nice and it was relatively quick. But if you style your hair in anyway that isnt buzzcut or short then I would stay away. I probably wont be coming back.

Let me start by saying I am one of the pickiest clients out there. Fact!I live in Seattle (downtown), but stopped here because I was getting my car worked on and had some time. Walked in, everyone was really friendly and had a great vibe to the place. Did not have an appointment but got right in a chair.Kathy (spelling might not be correct) cut my hair and did an AMAZING job. She listened to what I was saying and did exactly that. I have had a ton of cuts where the stylist appears to be listening but in the end doesnt do what I asked for. Kathy did a perfect job, payed attention to the details and I left with an ideal cut. On top of that she was really fun and easy to chat with.I might have to jump in the car from now on and drive over here to get Kathy to do her thing.$25 is killer deal for this cut. 5 stars, two thumbs, all of the above. She was great.

My husband and son always go to the shop for haircuts with Alicia - she is fantastic and gives consistently great haircuts. Price is good. My 4-year old loves getting lollypops after his cut and ice cream around the corner. Thanks cant say enough good things about Alicia! Parking can be tricky, and make sure to call to get on the list.

I’ve been dealing with this for a few years horrible walk-in service. Even if you call In to put your name on the list for a certain time they tend to make mistakes on scratch your name off the list. Would not recommend the shop in downtown Kirkland

Went in for a haircut today, around 2PM on a Monday, it was pretty quiet and I didnt have to wait at all.I am pretty happy with the haircut too, Ill probably go back.One thing I like about this location is that it is by the water front and you can see the view while getting a haircut.

Weve been coming to The Shop for the past two years. My sons get the best haircuts here and the female stylists are super patient with my girls who move around a bunch during the haircuts. They even were able to fix one of their haircuts into a cute bob after another place had given them a Beatles style haircut.

My regular haircut place now- close by, not too expensive, and does a good job (although my haircuts tend to be fairly simple, but they do a good job). Super friendly and nice people! Im reserving that last star for a place that gives out free haircuts, but I dont have any complaints about the shop.

The Shop in Kirkland has friendly and helpful staff. The prices are reasonable and the stylists are some of the best Ive had. I have been using The Shop in Kirkland for over 7 years and have ended up with Bill, the manager. Hes incredibly friendly, easy to talk to and will just cut hair if you arent interested in a conversation.

They do good buzzcut here with free shampooing. They open at 11 on weekends though. Be there by 10:45 to be the first one in line.. I like the theme of this salon.. you will find interesting pictures on the walls..

Went to The Shop for the first time this week and left as a very happy customer. I went there on Tuesday afternoon and hardly waited for 5 mins. Candis was my stylist and she was really good. Theyre reasonably priced for haircuts.I have curly hair and wanted reduce its length and get something short like a bob or a pixie cut. I had a couple of pictures of what styles I liked. This made it easier for Candis to understand what I wanted and she was able to do exactly that. She was also sweet to give me some tips on how to set my hair. I will surely go to this place again.

Great cuts! I just moved to the PNW from Los Angeles a couple days ago and was taking a stroll through Kirkland. Needed a cut, so just popped into this shop. Reminded me of a Floyds 99 in Los Angeles! They saw me immediately and Kim gave me a great cut and we had a good conversation. Relaxed, hip environment and a good value for a solid cut.

Ive been coming to the Shop in Kirkland for about 3 years now mostly because I found a great person for my haircuts and not for the actual establishment itself and the employees. With that said, I essentially have two separate reviews; one for the hair stylist and the other for the establishments.(Establishment: Kirkland)Good: unlike other locations, the shop allows you to call in and put your name on the waiting list whether it be with your preferred hair stylist or next in line.Bad: Well, where do I start off at? Ownership has recently changed due to unfortunate circumstances, and since that transition, the Shop has gone from relatively ok to worse. Some employees, to include the manager, are not always customer friendly and seem to be upset at working there...smile are not easy to come by. The establishment is very small and extremely packed on busy days, a reason why you need to call and put your name on the wait list. Bathroom, well, not functioning properly more than 50% of the time. In essence, it very well seems like employees are not generally happy to work there...side conversation from other hairstylist with their customers says a lot about the way the location is managed.(Hair Stylist: Molly)Good: If I could give her 5 stars, I would! I am very picky about my hair mostly because Ive had a few too many bad experiences. Molly is extremely professional with all her clients and take the time to get to know you to better work with your needs and wants. Her haircuts are on POINT; great fades, great suggestions for new hair styles, and timely service....not only with me but with all her clients. Getting a haircut is already awkward enough, but Mollys personality coupled with her professionalism allows me, or anyone for that matter, to feel comfortable and relax during their time there. If she is running late, and she has your number, she will let you know. Needless to say, Ive been coming to her for 3 plus years and Ive noticed that she has a lot of clients that do the same. She is definitely the go to person at this location for many reasons! She will make your hair look good!Bad: None! I have never had such a bad haircut in my life. I cried the entire way home and to my husband when he got home. My hair was just starting to grow, and it had touched my collar bone. I showed her a picture of a Victoria Beckham A symmetrical bob, and she cut my whole head like a bowl, shorter than my chin. I have zero hair now. It doesn’t even stick out of a beanie i was wearing. Worst 45$ ever spent :(

When I moved to the area, I was trying to find a great place to get my hair done. I tried a couple places before The Shop, but I wasnt happy with any of them. The Shop definitely delivered! Short wait time, and the stylists dont feel rushed since there are no appointments. I also really loved the atmosphere and they did a great job with my hair. Ill be back for sure!

Had my haircut by Jessica last weekend. All I can say is that this is the worst cut ever and I could cry when I look in the mirror. I’m not sure what’s going on with the shop, but you used to be able to get a great haircut from everyone. Been a customer for years, but I’m reconsidering coming back. My stylist seems like she should still be trained further. If the shop cares about their outstanding previous reputation they should really reconsider who they employ. I have to walk around looking ridiculous until it grows out.

Arrived 1.5 hours before close, was told it would be an hour before I would be helped. This was fine, I needed a haircut before an interview and was willing to wait. 30 minutes into the wait I was told it would be another half hour. After an hour of waiting I was told they wouldnt be able to get to me. This made it too late to get a haircut elsewhere this evening.

⚠️ WARNING.....PLEASE PLEASE NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!! maybe a lot of you have had good experiences but if there is even a chance than you will have he same as mine than you have to believe me to never go to this place i’m your entire life. i spent 120$ a month ago to get a perm and i wanted to get the sides cut i spicificly told her to please not touch the top at all and she started to cut it and i said stop over and over and they wouldn’t she kept insisting that she was simply evening it out but she kept cutting untill my hair was an inch long all around and the perm was going completely my hair started at about 6 inches so you can understand why i am now in tears, i am so mad and frustrated that i don’t know what to do.

Ask for Rylee, shes thorough and professional with attention to detail. The Shop is hip in a posh area. Expect to wait 30 min but its worth it if you get a good stylist.Once again Rylee is my favorite stylist since she does not rush and give consistently great hair cuts.

This place was the first place I took my son to get his first hair cut. The lady the cut my son hair was really nice and I have always like the place till today. My son is only one year and half month old and today he was getting his 6 time hair cut and We put down our pbone number down and they said we will call you in 40 min. I waited and they never called me I went down there and a they marked me as like I was there already was not a nice experience! The person was not Patients with my son. I requested a style on him but he didn’t wanna cut it since my son doesn’t stay still and I understand that!!! But if you don’t like cutting hair and making people feel good and nice this job is not for you!! I felt like you didn’t even want cut his hair at all!! Didn’t make the effort to win his trust , he felt your bad mood. Not a good experience!!!!!!!!!
