Dr. Malave is a great doctor; he listens and takes his time. He does not rush you out and truly cares for your health. He goes out of his way to make sure you get answers. I highly recommend him.

This doctor and staff are the worst. Dont even waste your time. I had a appointment at 2 PM had to be there at 1:40 to fill out paperwork. They were taking walk-ins over appointments. I have never got my meds yet and my pharmacy has called them numerous of times. And when I call them I get busy calls all day.

I find this doctor great but I cannot stand how every time I call I get place on hold for more than 20 minutes doesnt matter what time you call... you will be placed on hold for a long time, and when you go into the office I dont even hear their phone rings and they are just goofing around and laughing... why is it they put you on hold for so long....so annoying

This has been the most unprofessional doctor I have experienced. Mind you, I don’t come for myself, but rather for my mother. This doctor does not prepare himself prior to entering the exam rooms to familiarize himself with the purpose of the visit nor does he take his patients serious. His attention to his patient are the worst I’ve seen or have experienced. Referrals are forgotten, not once but twice. Definitely will be looking for another doctor.

Always a pleasure to see him and his staff. He’s a caring doctor who’s concerned about what is needed and best for the patient. I and my family have been going to him for years and will continue as long as he’s practicing!!

I took my adult child whom has mental challenges for treatment to the office of Dr. Ernesto. From the onset Dr. Ernesto was extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Dr. Ernesto did not address any of the medical issues or concerns that I actually brought my child in for. Dr. Ernesto Malave disregarded/overlooked any/all of the direct reasons that I brought my child in to his office to receive care for - and instead simply did a basic wellness exam then sent my child away without treatment for the active medical issues - although I brought my child in for chest pains and breathing issues. This was the WORST medical provider I and my family has ever visited. I have requested for Dr Ernesto to transfer my childs file to Scott & White in order begin true adequate professional care. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR if you expect to receive decent care.

Super expensive. Even when you have a good healthcare, they charge just about triple what you normally pay for a regular visit. Go to a local non-hospital doctor if you have to. Also, you have to double check on your referrals because they sometimes forget about it. (Waited like a whole month for an appointment just to know they never sent the referral)

Wow! Almost 2 hour wait! My apt was friday at 11 got in just before 1 customer service is horrible very rude staff only one pleasant person all mags and television are in spanish. Dr. Was very nice went from 1 star to 3 will update after follow up visit

I HATE this office. I would not recommend this to anyone. You wait 4- 5 hours to be seen if you do not have doc appointment, and you wait 3 hours to be seen if you have doctor appointment. And yes you do wait another 45 min inside for your doctor, and when doctor sees you is only 5 min really. I dont know why they set you an appointment if they tell you, we had people coming in earlier this morning thats why is taking so long then WHY do I make an appointment and wait 2 to 3 hours? Very disorganized, they need to have a better system and today I had to leave the office and never going back there! There are better doctors out there.

Terrible terrible office. Dr. Malaves staff is completely unorganized. My husband has been going there for 2 years and they never seem to have his info in the system, they never are on time with requested referrals and they dont get back to you about blood work results. The wait is ridiculously long. There is no courtesy of peoples time and money. Every Time we are there we are waiting 2-4 hours to be put in a room to then wait an additional 30 min to an hour for the doctor to show. I always see people up and leave their appointment without being seen because they have to go back to work. One lady was yelling and cussing up a storm out of anger and frustration because she was there 4 hours! Unfortunately there isnt another rate lower than one star. You can call your insurance company to comola in n if you are dealing with similar problems. I will be call my insurance today to report the lack of professionalism of this office.

If you have a minor issue you can go to Dr Malave but if you have a serious condition please run away from this place!!!! I went there feeling very sick and the first thing is that Dr Malave dont listen to anything you say!!! Is like he already know what you have and he will send you home asap without caring at all!!! My wife gave a ebstein barr virus positive result and he told my wife that she will be fine and anyone know that ebstein barr is a serious condition on adults because only people will compromise immune systems can give a positive result of ebstein barr!!!!!! Please run away from this charlatan

They double and triple book patients, so youre sitting 3-5 hours past your appointment time, Dr. Malave can be heard chatting with the nurses in the hall about everything under the sun, 20 -30 minutes later (if youre lucky) he makes an appearance so you can ask him to re-new your prescriptions. Heaven help you if its something more serious!!Unbelievably very sad!!

I’ve always been in and out. I find the wait times shorter than other appointments.Dr. Malave is concerned and thorough during the office visit.I’ve highly recommended him to my friends.

I am posting this on behalf of my mother in law. Last thursday my mother fell ill (chills, fever, sore throat, etc). They performed a flu test on her. She was then told to wait for the results. A week and 3 days later she receives a phone call stating that she does indeed have the flu. That time span is unacceptable. She works with children! Who knows how many kids she spread the virus to!!!!! She could have gotten worse and the unthinkable could have happened. The doctors office then told her that her medicine was sent to the pharmacy at 900am As I am typing this it is 120pm. I would not recommend this doctor or the crew he runs at all!

Doctor Malave saved my wife life. Yes you have to wait but I would wait to see the best. If you ever have problems with his staff then direct to him and he will fix it. Dr Malave was my doctor in Lampasas from 1997 to 2003. My late mother also had him as a doctor from 1993 to 2003. His services and staff were excellent then. I renewed my relationship with him in 2014 in Killeen and the service was good until 2017 when things went sour. Long waits despite an appointment to see him. I waited over four hours in Feb 2018, my last visit. His staff does not care to help. He changes staff like changing socks, referrals are forgotten, telephone not answered, no blood test results until the next visit and long wait, blood test once a year and I am diabetic. Had enough, found me a new doctor!

Just left the office and seriously disappointed. ...my husband had an appointment at 2pm it is now 4:15pm and he had not been seen yet... in fact he walked out bc we had our children with us n they started getting very restless ....I cannot believe that it would take this long to be seen by a Dr ....I highly recommend looking elsewhere for help bc you wont get it here

This staff is horrible only one person answers phones and only one person out of 3 people talks to you when you have a doctors visit. In addition to that the waiting time is extremely long even if you arrive to your appointment early.

I dont see Dr. Malave but Ive been seen by Ms. Malave. She is an esthetician in the same office space and she is wonderful. She is one of the kindest people Ive ever met and good at what she does. I would reccommend her to anyone. And she is bilingual so if you speak Spanish she is fluent!

I have been with Dr. Malave over 15 years, he listens carefully to ones problems and will decide the medical care that they need. Medicine is a complicated profession, unfortunately he cannot prescribe miracles...

Unfortunately I cant rate this Dr office any lower,. I called many times to find out if I had labs with my appointment only to be put on hold and forgotten each time. The office manager is extremely rude. shes really feeling the power of her position. I left my name and number to make a complaint with Dr malave but he never saw fit to return my call.Do yourself self a favor, just go somewhere else.

The man is a charlatánHe sees you thru like cattle and tries to investigate as little as as he can to get you out. He really shows NO concern and shares a lil piece of you with his colleagues. Ive been seeing Dr.Malave for a while but Im always having problems with the front desk and staff, they dont seem to understand when the Doctor gives orders regarding medicine or referrals, every time I leave this doctors office I have to call back requesting for them to send my medicines to the pharmacy and my referrals to other doctors which I should not even have to do they are super rude and extremely unprofessional, when you talk to them they always cut you off and shut you down. Im sick of these unprofessional people in this doctors office, but Im even more sick of this doctor letting all this happen to his patients. On my last visit, my appointment was at 11:30 and they did not see me until 1:30, I told one of the staff that I need to see the Doctor soon because I have to go back to work and her response wasoh well reschedule then But I couldnt and didnt want to reschedule because Ive already been waiting for 2 hours. The personal assistant, a young Latin female was the one assisting on that day she was extremely rude and seemed not to care about the patients. After I had left the doctors office, the doctor had prescribed me some antibiotics for my sinus infection, she did not put the request in, I had to call back multiple times to have my medicine be sent in to the pharmacy, which I should not even have to do. The third time I called I requested to speak to the Latina lady, after waiting to get on the phone with her she had a nasty atitude and she told me that the doctor didnt prescribe my medicine, after the doctor had told her to put the antibiotic in. She kept saying that she didnt have to talk or speak to the doctor about the matter and that I dont have/need medicine prescribed, I got upset and fed up with her attitude so I told my coworker who was listening in to the conversation that this was bullsh*t (IN SPANISH) and apparently she felt offended and hung up on me, even though I wasnt even talking to her, I called back and I asked her why she hung up on me, and she told me that she felt disrespected and that I was calling her names, which I wasnt, and I even apologized to her, but that I was upset and I needed my medicine, she told me that she would put it in. Which she didnt. I had to wait, and 5 days later my medicine was in. And today I received a letter in the mail stating that the doctor will not provide me anymore service because I insulted his personal assistant. I feel that this doctor is very lousy, incompetent, and unprofessional that he just believes this new employee over a patient that has been there forever, he has no email, and no way to contact him personally, except for through his employees, Im very disappointed and very disgusted by these unprofessional people, do not go to this doctor.

The staff are stupid and the Dr is useless does not care about his patients I came here and had to come right back cause they didnt even address the chief complaint and admitted their fault but making me pay all over again. They are rude and prejudice if u r white

The staff is friendly but the doctor he wont examine you just gives his opinion then writes a prescription please look for another doctor even if you have an appointment you will still be waiting for hours please dont waste your time with this doctor office they dont even deserve 1 star just horrible I made an appointment for 11:30 am and Ive already been sitting waiting for almost 2 hours and still waiting be sure to bring a lunch because you will be sitting here all day the nurse asked to come back to the room at 120 pm and i had to sit for another few hours waiting to see the doctor

The doctor is very good. The waiting time is very long. They give you the appointment at a certain time and it is not until an hour after they move you to a room and even so the wait in that room so that the doctor comes to attend you at least is 25 minutes if you are lucky. I understand that if it is by appointment they must be organized in a better way to serve the client at the scheduled time.

My wifes appointment was scheduled for 10:45 am and it was not until 12:45 pm that she was called to take vitals. While they dry passing people in front of her. The explanation ..... The nurse had not received his record. It is 1:20 pm and we are waiting for the doctor. What do you think? 😑
