I cannot recommend Dr. Martin and his team enough!! He truly is the best dentist Ive ever gone to. He and his team are thorough, explain everything (including cost) very well so theres no surprises, and take a conservative approach to treatment - which I greatly appreciate! I have had pain in my jaw and teeth for years and didnt think Id ever get it resolved - Dr. Martin and his team completely resolved it with their two part approach with just a few visits. In addition to Dr. Martin and his team being amazing, the office clean, well taken care of, and is full of friendly people that make you feel comfortable when at the dentist (where a lot of us usually feel uncomfortable!!). If you are in Key West, I highly recommend giving Island Dental and Dr. Martin a visit!

Super impressed with the whole team here. They squeezed us in between cancellations for a broken tooth repair for my husband, and took the time to really educate us on what was going on with our teeth and some preventative measures to take care of them. Dr. Martin took the time to really explain and educate us, and we were treated like real people there and not just a patient number. I appreciate them being up front and honest and letting me know exactly what was going on and what to expect. Great experience!

Dr. Martin and then entire staff of Island Dental are truly amazing! They make you feel so comfortable and calm. I love their sense of humor and how they make you laugh to ease the anxiety of the appointment. My daughters actually enjoy going to the dentist now. I highly recommend Island Dental.

Wow! So glad I found them! I had to have extensive dental work done, due to my fear of dentists. Dr Eaton and his staff are wonderful! I really had zero pain or anxiety and everything was explained to me. They treat you with care and consideration. They also explain any financial issues beforehand, so you know exactly what everything is. I cannot recommend them enough!

Unfortunately, I have had to go to the dentist more times that I would have liked recently. Fortunately, Dr. Martin is amazing! He is so knowledgeable, patient, and is always willing to answer any questions. Dr. Martin and Margret are the best!

I had the most amazing experience having my teeth whitened by Ashley today. I walked into my appointment with very high nerves considering I have never had my teeth whitened before and have a front tooth crown. My fear was that my other teeth would not match my front crown tooth. Well was I wrong, Ashley did a phenomenal job at being thrall through the whole process, I shared my feelings about my fear and she gave me her expert advise. I am so pleased I trust her judgment because not only did she make my visit comfortable and smooth but she gave me the confidence to smile as big as I use to when I was a kid !!! Thank you Ashley for your amazing service and professionalism !

MALPRACTICE. DO NOT GO HERE.The office practically robbed me. The younger male dentist filled over 10 “cavities” that were not even remotely existent. I showed a different dentist from a another office my x-rays from Island Dental, and he was APPALLED by the blatant malpractice occurring at this office.I now have 2 permanently damaged teeth due to this. The only way to fix Island Dental’s mistake is by getting a root canal that I would have to pay for.I’ve waited over a year to leave this review. I wonder how many other people you’ve done this to.

Unfortunately I have to say steer far away from this office! I am a local and have been living here for 30 years and never experienced this at a dental office in my life.They want to charge you way beyond what prices should be and do not actually care about the well being of your dental health. Instead of accommodating you as a patient they try to tell you or sell you basically what they want you to have done with your teeth. There are so many amazing offices in this town but this is not the one to be a patient at.

Went in for a routine exam to find I had a cavity. Dr. Martin, was efficient at discovering the problem and offering a solution. He was confident in his approach which was reassuring. Dr. Martin had to issue an injection and the whole experience was painless. His assistant Margaret was also very helpful and friendly. Overall it was a great experience considering I had a cavity that had to be drilled and filled.

5/3/21 tried to schedule an appt. Theyre on the list of approved Aetna dentists. Their front desk told me I have to pay for my visit in cash and be reimbursed through my insurance which makes it pointless to have insurance. Needless to say ill be notifying Aetna of their business practices. Ive never heard of a dental office not calling to verify insurance benefits prior to providing services. They should adjust their administrative practices or get a receptionist that doesnt blow off potential clients.

On vacation and I lost my temporary crown. I called island dental and they had an afternoon opening available. About an hour later they called saying an earlier appointment opened up and asked if I wanted to come early. The staff is amazing! Clearly a group of people who know what they are doing and really enjoy what they do. Crystal was the person who scheduled and Ginger made a new crown by hand. It was a pain free visit and I enjoyed the conversation while the work was being done. I’m so happy I chose this place.

Today I got taken care by dental hygienist Sofia, very professional at her work and very friendly to share her knowledge any questions, she has detailed explanation step wise. Visiting a doctor means obviously will have a lot of questions, I would say I was lucky in that part. My teeth and gums was examined and removal of plague and tarter was done and ended up with power Polishing. Never had an experience of such thing before but it was unhurt and relaxed. Thank You Sofia and her team for the great work and would like to highly recommend this place Island Dental to everyone!

I have never been one to write a review but everything about my experience at Island Dental was amazing. I came in to fix a small gap I had in my teeth and the office was able to put me in a good time that worked for me and supper quick. I came in, had a consultation with Dr. Martin and he made everything so easy, his communication with patients and his way of making you feel genuinely comfortable was outstanding! He then put me in for a procedure two days later after my visit which I didn’t think would happened for at least a week or so. I came of course supper nervous and shaky and he made me feel so comfortable. I have never had a better experience at another office and I WONT be going to see anyone else. Oh yeah and my teeth they came out MORE than perfect. GO SEE DR.MARTIN you won’t regret it!

Who likes going to the dentist Not Me. That being said Island Dental is a top notch dental practice. What sets this place apart is Dr. Eaton treats his patients with the goal of them not having to come back for major work. He also explains what he is doing and why he is doing it. The dental assistant Ashley is a superstar as well.

The dentist I saw wasn’t very confident when it came to what was going on with my teeth but still wanted to pull my teeth. Also saw him google someone else’s problem on the computer. Wasn’t a comfortable experience. The dental assistant was really nice and so was the front desk.

Can’t say enough about the wonderful staff. From the minute you walk in you’re made to feel like you’re amongst family/friends. They’re very professional as well as kind. I’m petrified of dentists. I always have issues with my teeth. This place takes the time to help you relax and shows genuine empathy.I’ve lived here almost 15 years and couldn’t be happier with this office. My visits are always complicated and Dr Lou gets the job done.Thank you Island Dental!!

Dr. Martin left his dinner and opened the office at late hours to help my son with an emergency. He was very kind and VERY paitent with my very loud and VERY scared child. The next day the staff was very helpful and Dr Martin has showed further kindness with helping us find further care for my son back where we live out of town. When we move back to key West Island Dental and Dr Martin will be our first choice for dental 😁

Fantastic place!!! While on a trip to Key West from Atlanta, I went to Island Dental on the recommendation of a friend for the Zoom whitening procedure. Happy to say, my teeth are WHITE!!! The office was very clean and well organized, and I cannot say enough about how friendly and personable everyone I met there was. Highly, HIGHLY recommend to the extent that I will fly back from Atlanta to have this done there again. I made it through 4, 15 minute treatments with flying colors thanks to Kelly! Absolutely no pain or sensitivity during or after. FIVE stars all day long!!!!!

Great dental office! They are very organized and timely. I went in as a new patient and I was able to see the Doctor within 15 minutes. The office is clean and very pleasant. The staff was great, friendly and took time explained everything as it was happening.

Had to have a issue attended to while my regular dentist was away. This office is remarkable for its inviting atmosphere and professional culture. I was immediately admitted and when I explained my dentist was away they were very complementary as regarding his work and attended to my situation. I truly recommend this place along with Paradise Dental as perhaps the best of the best in The Lower Keys and certainly in Key West.

The first couple times I visited this office were fine but the third was a less than stellar experience where I was told the dentist doesnt see patients during regular cleaning visits and I was turned down when I requested my daughters sealants be touched up. I then returned to question the charges on my bill, I received what could be the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I do not recommend visiting this office

We recently moved to the keys. I was having pain associated with a crown I had done 5 years ago in Iowa. The receptionist was super friendly and found an appointment for me that morning. The dentist was kind and kept my best interest (financially) in mind.

I received the Zoom whitening procedure. Ive always been very self conscious about my tooth color and overall smile. I can say, conclusively, that when I looked in the mirror I couldnt believe I was looking at my teeth.For the first time in my life Im proud to open my mouth when I smile.From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.

Dr. Spelios and the entire staff at Island Dental are sure to make you smile. I have had a few crowns placed and cavities filled with little to zero discomfort during or after procedures. It is s relief to find a great Dentist within a small community such as Key West. Much appreciation to him and his staff.

My experience here was a complete nightmare. They seem to love x-rays and take them abundantly, presumably to make a big bill. Your pain is just not their problem. I would let all my teeth fall out before I would go back.

Such a wonderful experience! I had to visit Island Dental for a dental emegency, as I live in Miami and was visiting my mom for Mother’s Day. Not only did they fit me in on a Friday, I had the best expeirence ! Dr Spelios and the dentist assistant were so kind and knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable! Being someone that is fearful of the dentist this was so important to me! I will now return to Key West for my dental work! I know growing up here a lot of people would travel out of the Keys to get good work, but with this team, you dont have to!!! Thank you again, Island Dental!

I was in KW on holiday and had a very bad toothache. After a week mof pain my insurance pointed me to Island Dental and I could not have been happier. As it happens I needed my tooth extracted, not a surprise from discussions with my own dentist but inconvenient. The staff was professional and caring. From initial phone call telling me to come on in, everything was explained and I knew what to expect. Loved the DDS and assistant. Now home and having seen my Periodontist still very happy; he was very impressed and appreciative of the notes and X-Rays forwarded to them by Island Dental.

Shout out to Ashley and Dr. Mayfield! You guys are the best!
