Dr. Israel and the staff are amazing. Its been nearly 5 years since my last exam and Dr. Israel remembered me! My exam was quick, safe, and above all, felt like I was chatting with a friend! Picking out my glasses was a breeze, and really just came down to finding what fit my face the best.Whats even better, I had scheduled an appt for July and put myself on the wait list for a cancellation. Well, the next day, I got a call that someone cancelled and they asked if I could come in, which, of course, I did!

Great place, Ive been going there for annual checkups for 8 years. The glasses and contact lenses are amazing, and the service is great. My insurance doesnt cover any payment if my vision is the same, but Lory managed to make it work when I was paying for my contact lenses without me telling her. She never disappoints me (neither does the entire staff), and Im glad shes always there to help. Anyone saying this place is a cattle farm or body shop obviously doesnt know how a business works. There is no way in your life that youll stroll into a supermarket or mall and walk out without bumping into anyone. There are almost 8 billion people on Earth; you live amongst billions of others on this planet. Sometimes stores are busy, sometimes theyre not. Its how the economy works. Also, I would like to see YOU perform vision tests, apply solutions, and find fitting contacts/glasses for a patient in 10 minutes. Most of the time, your pupils need to be dilated, and that takes 30 minutes alone. Unless you can find a futuristic way to rip open your pupils and save yourself your precious 30 minutes, dont complain. Maybe you shouldnt have scheduled an appointment in the middle of your work hours. I usually go on Fridays, which is when Im usually free the most. Stop complaining and be rational, please.

Have been a patient for years, great staff that goes above and beyond in getting you the best deals and service provided to you. Not your ordinary eye Dr. They actually care and have always been great with squeezing in if you an emergency.

All I can say is that they are great. Been coming here for 20 years. Don’t get me wrong at times it’s hard to get an appointment. But it’s not a cookie cutter eye place. They actually treat you like a person. The staff are great at working with you to make emergency appointments. Its a great place to get your eyes working again lol. So if you need glasses or contacts. This is the place to go.

Very professional services! I had to take my kids for a routine check up, as well as for myself and all the ladies at the front desk were very kind, professional, and interested in providing the best eye care as well as the waiting time. That wasnt all! We took only about 10 minutes waiting for everything to be prepped and than our eye doctor provided and always provided for the last couple of years in fact: the BEST care for each of us. She shows great knowledge of her career duties, and helps maintain a safe peaceful friendly environment for all of her clients. I wouldnt recommend any other place for check ups! In the event; their glasses to choose from are ALWAYS in style, name brand and sturdy for a very long duration of time. P.S. I still have EVERY pair of glasses in mint condition! Dr Makansky is amazing. My family and I have been going to him for 10years now. The service is great, prices for glasses are reasonable. The office staff are nice and helpful. I would recommend his office to everyone.

From glasses, to contacts, to treating a rare eye condition of mine, our family would trust no one else with the health of our eyes. And on top of his expertise and professionalism, he is a super nice guy. And in this day where customer service is so important, his office staff is second to none! This was my first visit to Dr. Maslansky office, I felt very uncomfortable. The office is so cluttered and very dirty. The medical assistance were bitter and not nice at all, they seemed not to care for their patients. Including the optometrist. In all my years at an optometry office Ive never, never seen such bad service!! Dr. was asking what do I do for a living and other personal questions? What is this an interview? I was waiting for over two hours and was in and out of the exam room about five times! Really! I had my children with me and I guess they are not to happy that there were children in the office, maybe they just tired of their job. Well move on and get another job if your not happy!!!!! I know Im happy i will never go back !!!

I have been coming here for over 20 years and would not change their service for anyone else. They have always taken care of my families needs including my own from being a kid to an adult the service has never changed and I hope it never does.

This practice is a body shop. You wont get out before 2-3 hours regardless of what time your appointment. The office is like a cattle call. No respect for the patients time. A good friend just spent 3 hours getting through his appointment and this was routine, not an isolated incident..

I always go there since I have been little because I used to watch the tv too close and I complained about my eyes hurting since going there I have gotten glasses that help me out and the staff is nice and always try to make you feel welcoming there is a problem with time but its a town an they are the only close eye doctor around for people who dont have cars so yes it is packed but they help you and try to make it go as fast as possible. The exams are really through. Its a great place to check your eyes

First time patient . Please beware small BUSY office . Great service though ( you do wait ) . Dr.Milstein was great . Left with trial contacts .. my order will arrive in a week . Front desk girls were very nice also . See ya next year !

Ive been coming here since high school, as I didnt need glasses until then. Had your standard problems seeing distances, got some glasses, problem solved. Ive always been very happy with the doctors and staff.One day I woke up with a strange obstruction in my vision. It almost looked like the afterimage of a camera flash, or as if Id stared at a light bulb, but it didnt go away. I didnt even really think it was that serious. After a few days I called and they squeezed me in for a check-up. They were concerned about what they saw and arranged an immediate appointment with a specialist. Due to their quick action I was able to find out that I was suffering from macular degeneration, somewhat unusual due to my age at the time - most folks get this in their 60s and I was closer to 30. They told me my vision was 20/200 - thats not a typo, and 20/20 is considered ideal. 20/200 is terrible - I was very nearly blind except for peripheral vision in one eye. The specialist was able to treat my problem with photodynamic therapy and get my vision back 20/60 - not perfect but much better than it would have been if left untreated. This never would have happened if not for the rapid action and compassion of the doctors and staff of this office! Thanks again for everything, Dr. Maslansky and staff!

Dr. Maslansky and staff have been my eye care professionals for over 20 years and have consistently provided me with state of the art equipment, current eye care information, wide selection of eyeglass choices, timely processing and most of all, great service. I have been living in Mexico for over 9 years now but whenever I visit New Jersey, Dr. Maslansky is the optometrist of choice when I have eye care needs. Thank you, Dr. Maslansky and staff.

The whole staff is so kind, and nice and organized doctors office. Been going there ever since I moved to kearny 6 years ago.

They take hand written appointments no wonder they take two hours to see you the day of your appointment. We pay for great service and you get rude people and intimate questions.

1st timer. Will not be my last. Busy, yes but who isnt? Service FANTASTIC.I was in to see her in a few minutes. I felt for the 1st time in years that an optometrist actually cared. Unlike at a walmart of a costco. Not herded in like cattle. Listen eye doctors are NOT CHEAP but Prices good compared to other optometrist I have seen. At least 40-50% cheaper from my experience. The girls who work there are so friendly.They do everything to help you. They answer all questions. And i had a lot!!! NO COMPLAINTS!!

Before I even made it into the office for my initial visit Lori the office manager not only promptly followed up with my voicemail that I left, but also made sure to call me back with a possible cancellation later in the day to fit me into their schedule. From the moment I walked in the door I could tell how misleading the negative reviews I came across on here were. The ladies at the front desk were all smiles from ear to ear the entire time, and were very quick with gathering my info in order to be sure that I was seen in a timely fashion. Once in the office after about 10 minutes of filling out the initial paperwork I was called back & received possibly the most thorough exam Ive received in my 20+ years of wearing glasses. They even allowed me the time to go back home in the middle of my appointment so that I could show them my current frames to compare to my new purchase. Once I returned Lori displayed excellent knowledge of not only lenses that fit into your budget, but a keen eye for what fits a patient & needless to say I was impressed! After about 10 minutes of comparing we arrived to the perfect pair for me & I was out of the door within another 10 minutes or so. Overall I was completely satisfied with the service I received here especially with it being my first time & I would recommend it to friends & family!

Second Saturday Ive showed up before 4 to pickup contacts and they are closed. Posted closing hours are 4 on Saturday. They should update business hours if they are always closing early. Also didnt appreciate that people are in there working behind counter at 3 and door is locked and no one picking up phone.

Worst service, I had am appointment at 5PM and they forgot about me, because I am not Spanish. And I was waiting for appointment for 3 months.

Wait is a little long, however they did not rush me out.the doctors & girls were nice.

I have been a patient in that place since 2015 more or less. My doctor retired for 36 years, that was the reason for looking for another place to check my vision and if it was necessary to make me another pair of glasses. That time they charged me a lot since They do not take insurance such as Medicare and the supplementary AARP. So far so good, yes, you have to wait a bit, sometimes according to the employee they are not very friendly, I understand they have a lot of work etc. My problem is that unfortunately I lost the lens first Left, I went and they sent it to me, 165 dollars for a Rigid Gas Permeable lens. It came badly made, I never saw well with the lens, being the same prescription as the previous one (if I have the beginning of cataracts in that eye), but it is not for I did not see anything, I asked them to please check it, they will send it to the laboratory again, it cannot be that the first ones they made me were perfect and I could see well and they came wrong They refused to help me says I have to see the doctor, not two years ago that I He saw, but hey, if I had to do it, I would do it and I continue to spend money, check 129 dollars, plus make other contact lenses 165 dollars each, etc ... they are not responsible for the work. Secretary who did not go there anymore, who apparently did not mind losing a client and all those that I could recommend. In short, I spoke with a person who wears contact lenses and he recommended a place, the doctor is wonderful, he is a doctor of her since she was a child and today she is 34 years old. I went and showed her the glasses, etc ... of course she charged me for the exam much cheaper than them, and she had me checking my eyesight for more than an hour, she sent me to the optician. First of all, the lenses have a 1-year warranty, in case they break or do not see well and there is no problem, since there it is different than the Kearny office that they look at you with indifference (the money is not theirs) and I do not know they take care of nothing, see the doctor, keep paying ... they do not give you a guarantee, they do not care about anything, nor lose second, do you know how much Rigid gas permeable contact lens cost me?
