Friendly staff. Very clean. Everybody there was super kind. And Swathy Chandrashekhar MD Is by far the best Doctor I’ve ever seen. She was very thorough and had the BEST bedside manner. I would recommend this woman to anybody. You can tell this woman she is highly intelligent and knows exactly what she’s doing.

*Edited* *After sending an email to an administrator, we were contacted and even received an apology, which was unexpected. Ive now amended my review, but will leave my original complaint here for posterity.*Cant speak for any experience but my own. The team was wonderful during our visit. Probably the most comprehensive exam yet. Getting test results, however, has been an anxiety-ridden nightmare. We had a referral to another dr (rheumatology) and had to move the appt., and then cancel when that appt came up, because the test results werent back yet. The office refused to return calls, and messages through the KU Health portal were met with responses full of attitude letting us know theyd call when results were in. IT HAS NOW BEEN SIX MONTHS. I finally threatened them with calling the Office of Civil Rights, and lo and behold, the results were in after all. (thank you practice manager Erica). My husbands appt was March 10th. Weve been trying to get the results by calling and emailing once a month since then. Turns out, the test results were back on MARCH 18th. Just eight days after the test. He could have gone to the rheumatologist for his June appt. He could have asked the doctor what the next steps should be. Instead, weve lost another half a year, and his legs get weaker, and working 12-hr shifts in a pandemic is getting more impossible. I will never go back to KU Med for anything, ever. Its not worth it to feel so damn neglected and crazy. I would only recommend this place if you want to be gaslit while receiving zero answers, and zero empathy. Kind of American health care exemplified.

If you actually need treatment beg your doctor to send you somewhere else besides KU. I was sent to KU neurology by my doctor because of some terrible headaches, vertigo, speech and balance issues I began to experience. I met with Dr. Wend twice. He prescribed some migraine medication and stuck me in the arm with a safety pin and then offered no reason why I could feel it on one side but not the other. I was terrified. I was quickly referred to an ENT because I was told it was an inner ear issue. The ENT diagnosed me with vestibular migraines in September 2020. I tried calling Dr. Wends office many times to schedule my follow up. My call was never returned. Then I experienced my first seizure. I went to ku to be treated. I was treatedlike I was crazy and was told I had a seizure because Im depressed by Dr. Farmakidis. Its now January 2021 and Im still dealing with untreated chronic vestibular migraines because Dr. Wends office will not return my calls to make an appointment. The bigger a hospital gets the less they care about their patients.

My father was fortunate to see Dr. Dimachkie for a 2nd opinion after 2 years of therapies that were not effective. He provided the most thorough, kind, competent medical exam & work up I have ever witnessed. ( I am in the medical field myself) He treated my father & mother with such kindness, respect & dignity that has become rare n todays world.. He explained complicated medical issues with clarity.Kansas City is lucky to have such a well rounded caring neurologist.Dr. Fullam was the fellow neuro as who also was excellent & lucky to be able to learn from such a rare physician who encompasses all the characteristics every patient seeks in a doctor.

Our first visit with Timothy Fullman and Md. Pasnoor were very excellent bedside manner, explained everything to me and my husband, when appt was about husband, made me feel very involved with the test they were going to run and try to rule out some diagnosis. We were very pleased with front desk service only problem that my husband said was lab wasnt so pleasant, she could of been friendlier. I deal with the public everyday at my job and no matter how bad of a day youre having you always still put that smile on youre face! Other then that we know they will figure out what is going on with my husband because that first visit there was promising for some answers, thank you for youre kindness with these 2 Drs....

Painfully incompetent, rude, disorganized, lazy, and unhelpful front desk staff (the heavy set Caucasian woman). I feel like she is able to get away with it because of the clinics separation from the main hospital. Very frustrating

The Dr recorded symptoms I never experienced, almost as if he recorded another patient under my file. The appointment was extremely rushed and was told that the cyst on my brain is not concerning and many of my symptoms were dismissed without him listening to me at all.

Very nice place and staff EXCEPT doctor. Was very rude and made my mother feel like she was taking her time up. She failed to answer all the questions we had and didnt put her 100% on helping the patient.

If the issue you are having isn’t obvious, you will be dismissed. You’re better off going to a chiropractor. It is unfortunate that they are teaching young people . Dr. Jadat diagnosed stress and depression to a person who has neither. Tarlov cyst. We’re very lucky that we didn’t accept that quick guess from this guy. I hope the young student has better insight.

Horrible experience. I have been diagnosed with MS for 12 years. Went in because the pain is beyond unbearable. Told me to loose weight. Seriously? Thats what you say to someone who was incredibly active before brain surgery? Yeah horrible waste of time with Dr. Jassam. Drove over an hour to see an actual MS specialist who legit undiagnosed me with zero reason. Oh and FYI they could care less if your blood pressure is at stroke level while in their office...2nd reason for seeking help. Felt like white trash and was only talked down to. Left embarrassed for even trying to reach out for help. Just said I was depressed...gee, you think so? When no one listens or helps.

Although my patient/doctor relationship has been brief in this clinic, my 2 visits have been positive from the expedient checkin to a thorough and compassionate visit with my incredible neurologist, Dr. Hairston. As a patient with a complex auto immune dx, it’s quite important and reassuring to have found a practice that’s efficient, thorough, and compassionate.

Dr. Richard Barohn and RN Judy Ray are remarkable. Ive been in Dr Barohns cate for 5 year and could not ask for better care. Nurse Ray is a credit to the healthcare field and is on top of every aspect of my care. I could not be happier for my care at KU.
