Sends referrals to the wrong place or maybe doesn’t even send them at all. At this point I think it’s the latter. Been trying to get them to send my referral for 4-5 months at this point and they will no longer return my phone calls. Doctor said my blood work showed lupus but then said I don’t have a condition that warrants treatments like what??

This is not a supportive and caring practice. I felt disrespected and extremely uncomfortable the entire visit.

I cannot tell you the frustration I get when calling this office. I never reach a person, the only option is to leave messages. Those messages rarely get returned in a timely manner. This problem is so bad I am considering leaving this practice and doctor who I like.*Please update your phone system. Worked with Dr. Shah for 5 months, xrays, labs, mri. Dr. Shah was growing frustrated with me. She said she couldnt help me unless I lost weight and brought up my weight at every appointment. I went to a new rheumatologist and was diagnosed after 1 appoitment. I would not recommend Dr. Shah as I feel shes fat phobic and didnt want to help me.

I am seen by Dr. Magadan at the South office and I love it there! The staff is so nice and they always make sure I am taken care of. Their communication through the Patient Portal is excellent! Always timely. I feel very well taken care of!

I saw Dr. Shah a few times. She doesnt listen, doesnt care, acts like a know it all, wastes a ton of time, money and you get NOTHING! I would never recommend her to anyone. Find a different Rheumatologist who will LISTEN to you.

I have been going here since I was 23 and Im now 43. I had started in St Joe with no such luck and came to see Dr Kent Houston ( who had since retired) and in 3 hrs I had a diagnosis, a plan and medicine. They have taken wonderful care of me and continue to take great care of me and are like family!!!!

Took about a month to get the first available appointment and I took the day off work. I really wanted to establish regular care after returning from deployment overseas. My visit with Dr Shah went well. She was courteous and answered all my questions, refilled my meds, and took some labs. The meds were never called in or only half of the 3 meds were. I called and left messages for about 2 months before I was able to get all the prescriptions properly filled. Meanwhile, I even started using my dad’s scripts. 3 months after my appointment I still hadn’t heard back about my lab results. I ended up calling a different office location and they made sure that someone contacted me. Turns out my labs were high and the dosage they had me on for 3 months was insufficient. They said they were going to increase my dosage but the new script from the pharmacy was a decrease. I called back after the weekend and they didn’t seem to know what script the had me on for the previous 3 months and wanted me to come back in for new labs. I said , “NO WAY, you’ve mismanaged my care for 3 months! I’m not coming back to you, I’ll find a different practice.” .... beyond that, I had already been trying to move to a different doctor within the practice hoping I’d get better service. I even had a doctor friend who knew one of them call them and try to get me placed , but no one ever called me back.

I am a current patient here of Dr Houston’s. I was told by him that anytime that I have a flair up, I could call the doctors assistant, Trish to get a prescription to help with that. The last two times that I’ve called I have not been helped in a timely manner. The first time I left a voicemail and didn’t need receive a call back for a week and a half. I was told by one person that the website was down and I was told by Darlene that I was lied to and they just forgot to call me back. I don’t care who’s fault it is. I just want to be seen and taken care of.This second time I called, I left a voicemail with trish and she got back to me through voicemail later that afternoon and that I needed to make an appointment. Again, no one was answering when I called back to make an appointment, so I was transferred to Darlene who was really condescending and was no help at all. At this point, I lost my temper and she hung up on me.Something needs to be looked at with patient communication. It should not be this hard to get help. I am in pain and am not going to be in a cheerful mood when I call and that needs to be realized.

No one ever answers the phone! And do not believe they will return your call in 24 hours, more like 36-48 hours. If you can go North to their satellite office do so.
