Dr Yu has cared for all three of my children since they were born. My oldest is 17 years old now. Dr Yu always takes the time to listen to us and is genuinely interested in us and our concerns. He is very knowledgeable and always has a lot of information for any questions we have. We never feel rushed, and really like Dr Yu not only as a person, but as a person, too.

I thoroughly enjoy coming to appointments here...the office staff is always friendly...my daughters doctor is Dr Yu...he is very good as well always easy to talk to and makes sure my girls are doing well...he listened to my concerns about my youngest and got me the referrals I needed...and yes she is autistic...he told me I was doing a good job and that was so nice to hear as we all need to hear that as moms whether you have a special needs child or not....I love how he always gives them books as well and good quality ones at that....his nurse is super awesome as well always friendy to my girls and sweet.and gets back with me when I leave messages....I highly recommend this place for your pediatric care..

Dr. Yu is a great pediatrician! He has great bedside manner and is informative when performing assessments. The office is clean and the office staff is polite!

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Yu. First, their office is clean and inviting and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Anytime I call the nurse line, I get answer back same day. Dr. Yu was our pediatrician starting since birth of my son and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to keep him. He takes his time and answers all of our questions (even when I’m flustered and ask the same ones twice). Very good with babies. He makes sure your baby is on track weight/developmentally for YOUR baby, not off of some chart. Yes, you will normally have a long wait in the exam room (because he’s a busy man) but that’s because he gives his full attention to EVERY patient. Never once have we feel rushed because he was on a schedule. Amazing pediatrician!!!

HE IS A GREAT DOC. HE HAS HAD OUR CHILDREN FOR 15 YRS. OUR DAUGHTER WAS BORN PREMATURELY AND HE CALLED US AT HOME FOR 2 WEEKS WITH AND UPDATE EVERY MORNING. NOW THAT MY KIDS ARE TEENS HE SETS THEM STRAIGHT AND IS REALLY GREAT WITH THEM. BEST PEDITRICTION ON THE PLANET. I HAVE 5 CHILDREN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Dr David Yu is a wonderful doctor who truly cares about the well being of our kids. He takes time to answer all our questions, and his staff is great as well. You won’t go wrong with Dr Yu. He’s one of the best.

Dr. Yu is a great pediatrician. I can fully trust that he has my childs best interest at heart. He also has a wealth of knowledge about how to help my child grow healthy and happy. I appreciate his laid-back and caring nature. His staff and nurses are also great.

We have been with Dr. Yu for almost 13 years for all of our kids. We are extremely happy. He is caring and always on top of everything. He calls us at home when we call and have concerns.I read most of the comments and while I agree that during the years there have been some rude staff and long waits (extremely busy office), Dr. Yu himself is awesome and pays attention. He never rushed us out and addresses every question and concern.I just hope there can be a better scheduling management to make sure the wait is not as bad.Most bad reviews are related to wait time or rude staff. Not fair to the Dr himself but I understand though that for many it is the whole experience including the office itself.

Dr. Yu is an amazing doctor! My children have been going to him since they were little and now I have high school and college aged kids. He is great with all ages. Not only does he talk to them about their illness/medical problem, he always asks them how school is going and gives them food for thought to be a better student/person. As they get older he wants to know what they want to do after high school, what their plan is and encourages them to do their very best. He has even given them ideas of colleges to research. If you want to be a college/professional athlete he encourages you to have a backup plan. Get your education because if you get hurt, you will need the education to get started in a different career. He answers all of my kids questions and is always polite, even at the end of a long day. The only other Physicians my kids see are the people that work with him in his practice.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Yu & everyone in the office. He has been my daughters Dr since the day she was born. I couldnt ask for a better Dr. Hes very personable, friendly & just an all around great person. AMAZING.

Awesome pediatrician. He has never told me anything wrong. He knows his stuff. Ive referred him to everyone I know. I even drive 4 hours to take my infant to him for her check up, or if she is sick.

My children see Dr. Clement here but have also seen Dr. Bradley. Both are absolutely wonderful! They spend time with you answering questions and building a bond with the children. I couldnt have dreamt up a more amazing doctor for my children!

Useless group of doctors if you ever need anything signed by them, good luck. I needed a small one page form for an after school program signed by either Dr. Yu or any nurse practitioner in the building and after 2 weeks of calling, faxing, emailing and driving all the way to the office i could not find anyone to sign the form.

We have been with Dr. Yu since our 7 year old was 2 months. Now we have 3 kids who all look forward to seeing him. He remembers details about our lives and takes an active interest in not only our childrens health but also their social, educational and emotional well being. I feel like hes a friend that genuinely cares about us as a family. Some people have complained about the wait time. We dont have to go often enough for it to cause me to look elsewhere. He is willing to pull up a seat and answer any and every question and concern I have, same with every other patient he sees. Id much rather have that over him running in and running back out because hes only allotted 10 minutes per room. I have personally referred at least 10 people to Dr. Yu and they all love him.We have also seen a couple of the NPs and have zero complaints.

Had our first appt with Dr.Yu today and he is great! Im so happy that I switched from the first pediatrician we were using. He was patient and answered all of our questions very thoroughly. Ive read bad things about the staff but theu were very awesome to us too. So no complaints here. Very happy with our experience .

Been seeing Dr Yu since baby was born at 33 weeks and he has been straight a straight shooter since the day she was born. Shes now 10 and she still sees him. Hes a good doctor in a large office with lots of patients...

Doctor YU is amazing. I have been to several doctors before I found him my kids love him and he takes his time in the room with you. Dr YU makes sure that he answers all your questions and takes his time to look at the kids and make sure that they are okay. He doesnt run out of the room like other doctors do and this is the best quality in a doctor is when they take their time to make sure their patients are OK. He saw my daughter once and remembered her name when I came in with my newborn. The staff are wonderful at the Lenexa location.

I would highly recommend a different choice. The nurse practitioner Christal is absolutely awful, rolling her eyes and snapping at me for requesting a chart showing the shots needed and the details on the shots. If you dont mind being treated below her or misled this is the place for you. After I chose to walk out I requested to make a complaint. After waiting 10-15 min in the lobby and listing to Christal and the nurse administrator talk about me, which is a HUGE HIPAA VIOLATION!! there was another lady and child having to hear this. (the office staff apologized for the wait and the fact I could here them talk poorly of me) When the nurse admin finally came to speak to me, she never once apologized for the mis treatment. I explained I wanted to know the remaining shots we needed and the discriptions of them, and how Christal was not willing to prsent me with that information. The nurse admin told me we were behind on shots, I explained I only like to do one shot at a time, my daughter reacts poorly to shots. Mind you its my right as a parent to choose this route. Every child is different. I should not be shamed by the nurse administration for this, but most of all this is no justification to have a nurse to treat me poorly. This is what the nurse admin was implying to me. She also told me unless specified by the doctor they couldnt give my daughter just one shot they would have to give all 4 shots. I felt as if that was not true because every time we have came in the past this is exactly what we have done.Considering everyone has an off day and can be grumpy for unknown reasons I shrugged it off. But I recieved a letter later on that they have cancled my children from the practice. It doesnt state a reason nor have any doctors signitures, just the nurse admins. This seems childish to me so I have came back to leave a more detailed review. We were cancled from this practice for leaving a poor review after being treated poorly. Christal works for DR. Crain. We typically see Doctor Yu.

The worst receptionist that Dr Yu has...she tells me that my son cannot be seen by the doctor but to go to an urgent. What the heck is that???why is he a Pediatrician if he cannot even see his own patient when they are sick according to the receptionist...

Worst doctors in Kansas city Cindy and all the staff are horrible. Also stay away from Overland Park regional. These people are only out for money and not the wellbeing of your newborn . They will make up symptoms and as long as insurance will cover it these people will milk it for every drop.

Dr.Yu is decent once you finally get in . Very rude staff at front desk and nurses have a nasty attitude. You never get to see the dr at your appointment slot so your always late with the rest of your day. If your busy and have other things to do than sit at the dr for hours this is a horrible place to go. Also be aware of the meds he is putting your child on he will over treat problems that arent even there

I had chosen a Dr Slattery, but Dr Yu is who saw us at the hospital and he kept trying to get us to schedule our next appt with him (Dr Slattery & Black, hes taking your patients). I had an uneasy feeling, but my husband wanted to go with him. He seemed nice enough our first appt. After waiting about 45 min in the exam room for 3 appts, hearing the same stories about HIS family every time, and our concerns getting brushed off as no big deal I decided to switch. Should have switched sooner, but its a pain to change Drs, so save yourself the time and go with someone else now. At my sons 2 month appointment I asked about the shape of his head, and Dr Yu said not to worry (thats literally all he had to say about it). Our new pediatrician said he has torticollis, gave us exercises to do at home, and sent us to a physical therapist. Had Dr Yu just given us exercises to do, we would not be paying to go to a physical therapist right now and it would already be corrected. Dr Yu also left a lot of scar tissue when he did the circumcision, which our new Dr said could be taken off if it doesnt get better by 1 yr. I definitely dont want to put him through an unnecessary surgery, but I just wish Dr Yu would have done it correctly for my sons sake later on.

Dr Yus office is by far the worst group of people I have ever encountered. My son suffered from an adverse vaccine reaction and they blew it off, and made me wait a whole week before even getting an appointment after suffering from encephalitis. then told me I was no longer allowed to have my child seen there when I refused to listen to his fear mongering. STAY AWAY! they are not in it for the care and well being of children.

I will never recommend Dr. Yu to anyone. He discriminates against his patients and its either his way or the highway, so the highway it was for us! If I could give him zero stars I would!
