By far one of the best option I had made coming to be a student at HOH on Troost. I have gain so much knowledge in the profession I want to continue to be in.

I love this place . I went here for the first time this past weekend and everyone was so friendly . The man who retwisted my hair (I forgot his name) was really professional . I will definitely be back , the prices are affordable too

This is my go-to salon! I come regularly and the ladies are so sweet and give me the best service. I have tried other salons where my natural 4c hair is man-handled, not treated with care and not respected. But at HoH on Troost Avenue, the stylists are AMAZING!! I have gotten numerous natural hairstyles and feed-in cornrows done by them. They look beautiful, long-lasting, and VERY CHEAP! I also love the atmosphere of the salon, the stylists are always laughing and having a great time! Thank you House of Heavilin!!

Miss D is an amazing instructor! I was in town for the weekend and had a hair emergency. I called and they said they would fit me in. They did an excellent job cleaning up my hairline and scalp from a previous color from another salon. I want to thank Brittany and Kayleigh for styling my hair so beautiful! Ill definitely be booking with House of Heavilin whenever i am in town!

Wonderful hair cut and color for cheaper than Ive ever seen it lol. Ig its good because of it being a college instead of just a salon but they did amazing with my hair anyways!

I Graduated from HOH back in February . My date had got pushed back due to the pandemic hitting. Definitely a struggle switching to virtual but it work out .But my instructors were Mrs.Danielle and Mrs.Tonya !!!! With out them two I didnt think I was going to make it through they pushed me and encouraged me . To the point I worked even harder . Because they were counting on me in so many ways . I am now a licensed cosmetologist and I cant thank them enough. I learned more then just about hair . I leaned what my study habits were , be patient , and also to just be creative and not dull all the time (like I was before hair school ) I actually found myself and found what I love to do outside of being a nerd for tech ! . And Im so thankful that I choose HOH Kansas City ! Thank you guys for everything and more .

My hair was done well and the beautician was nice. I was about to pay and asked if there was a student discount available. The owner (? manager ?) yelled at me about asking too late even though she hadnt entered the transaction and I had cash, so I said forget it and she immediately softened and took my money. The beautician had previously implied that she disliked the manager. Big turn off, so I didnt return.

I had a silk press done on my hair and ended up with heat damage. Now my hair will not return to its natural texture.🙄. NEVER AGAIN!. And yes that was my first time putting heat on my head since going natural.

I took both my girls here a couple weeks ago to get their hair washed and braided. The ladies did an amazing job, and they were so awesome with my 3-year old!! It was her first time, and they fussed over her and kept her calm for me. I couldnt be inside because of Covid-19 restrictions, but they took wonderful care of her for me while I watched from outside. The girls hair turned out adorable, and both my babies loved their hair!! I highly recommend! We went to the Troost location.

My experience at House of Heavilin was beyond anything I can imagine. I am a HOH graduate and licensed cosmetologist!!!!! I was beyond confident upon graduation because of the knowledge and hands on experience. From Ms. Danielle who was/is my biggest inspiration of becoming the best and sharing more than just knowledge but experience was golden, to my peers it was very positive all around. Tough love, encouragement, motivation and truly being poured into everyday with knowledge. I dont recommend no other Beauty College but HOH TROOST! All you need is right there. Mrs. Tonya bright smiling face always welcoming and jumping in when needed, Ms.Lisa and many others are a joy. Great people are in your corner but we have to do the work. Period! Thank you HOH for a life changing experience.

I went there today for a reconstruction treatment because my hair was getting dry and brittle. I had a nice lady named Nay who did my hair and she did an awesome job! My hair felt so much better afterwards. They played very calming music, and the staff was easy-going, professional, and friendly. Definitely going back!

Ms.Dee and chele were so kind and laid my hair out .All the girls have talent and very professional.Will definitely be back!!

I just want to say that the Manager Ms.Danielle has turned that place into something Way Better than how it was. The students were kind and respectful no cussing I mean this place has really changed. Thank you House of Heavilin (Troost Location)! After going else where and not receiving the wanted dye service... I came to HOH and explained the situation.. I received a wonderful consultation about what would be done, etc. I left with the desired color and style that exceeded my expectations. The stylist and instructor were patient and kind and were dead set on me getting my hair colored and they succeeded.

I am a graduate student from HOH, I’m glad I came to HOH and got this experience to learn the professional way of doing things an perfecting my craft, and was able to be around a good positive energy and environment and able to learn all I could from our amazingly great instructor Ms. D, I highly recommend going to HOH.

I came here 3 weeks ago and Mrs D helped work wonders on my head and it still looked great when I came back today then Crystal went to work and did a wonderful job! I get asked often where I went and I have had no problems sharing with anyone the wonderful service and experiences that I have had here. Not to mention the cost! I have went other places and paid so much more and got so much less I love coming here and have not been disappointed.

Im a individual with hair that is undoubtedly hard to lock up (dreadlocks). Not only were they able to succeed with ease but the atmosphere was very accepting and welcoming. If youre locking up your hair or getting a haircut they will take care of you in every way. If you want your hair to look the way you want without any sass and a great price you need not look any further.

Havent been in a long time

I came in with incredibly matted and tangled hair, thought i would have to have it cut off, Danielle and her crew were my last hope, they got me detangled and blew out, im in love, thanks soooo much!

Ive been here twice now and I will be back again! The first time I went my silk press came out flawless and took no time and thesecond time took a bit longer but it was worth it. I also had extensions added the second time. The student who started on my hair did well up until the extensions part, BUT Ms.D and especially Annie helped it turn out how I wanted it when the first student had to take off for personal matters. I will definitely be back for Annies attention to detail and genuine care for her clients and shout out to Marshayla for doing my 4 year olds hair in feed-ins. I will be bringing my daughters back also. Keep up the good work ladies!!

Great experience, if they dont offer a certain hair style they will try to accommodate their clients.

I want to thanks the students and Miss D for the great job they did yesterday on my hair, This ladys restore the ends of my hair after a bad job done by someone else. It is 3/15/19I came in for service and the Lady who is at the desk was extremely rude and ghetto...The hand gestures and shennshenan was too much... However customer service needs to be a bit more professional...That is not how ladies act..Your business name says it all..CLASSwithout the SASS...I was disappointed but let the lady know that was not customer service...Very disappointed... however I didnt let that get in the way of my business..Now with that being saidHave an awesome day

I was unsure what to expect from students. I got a sew in, the young lady did not stick me once. She was delicate when braiding. It is tight without pulling my brains. I would recommend KC House of Heavilin!

Not only was I student there but I am also a client. The teachers were helpful and made time to answer all of my 1000 questions no matter how small or insignificant they were.
