We enjoy going to YMCA. Exercises in the pool as well as the hot tub has helped my back a lot. I have sciatica and it has helped rather than taking medicine. It has helped my better half as well. We go two to three times a week. It has been a big blessing.

We love the swim lessons there for the kids! Plus this location has a steam room and sauna for the adults!

Giving 2 stars only because of the week day staff otherwise I’d give 1 star. Heather Kee seems to only give a hard time to some members while she allows other members who don’t have their fob in without issue. She also encouraged my husband to go to the China Grove YMCA to receive better customer service. Trust this will be taken further, no one should be mistreated by Heather or anyone else.

First visit since the pandemic hit last year

The pool was always mediocre but today was really different in many ways. Kendra (I think is her name ) started Pressure washing sides of the pool and making everything goes into the pool and we were still swimming. Wow, I for sure will never go to swim again there. I can not even imagine what they do when we are not there...

Fantastic facility with tons of remodeling and updates on the way! As far as Clarendas review goes : The Whirlpool is on a 15 minute timer, which is a safety setting for exposure to that temperature. It also fits about 5-6 people. Considering the amount of ammenities for a small town facility and the extremely fair monthly ratings as well as always friendly staff, there should never be a reason for a 1 star rating. Very undeserved.

The Y makes Kannapolis alittle nicer place to live. Go Dawn Davis. You teach a good workout and have a contagious smile.

Ive never been inside the y i have been next door at the library and on off duty cop will come out to the parking lot and tell me to leave the property even tho i have business at the library i have a handi cap and the spots were full at the library so i parked as close as i could ( three spots up from handicap parking ) and then im told to leave or ill be arrested and have my car impounded ..... Only alternative is to park up the road from the library and walk a halfa mile or so to get acces to the public library the private security has a problem with disabled people being in his line of site apparently thus isnt the only time hes done this he does this every time i cone to the library

Outdated equipment, 30 days prior notice before cancelling membership, 30 days! An extra star goes to the recently remodeled swimming pool.

Old facility small whirl pool you have to continuously get in and out to turn the dial to keep it on. It goes off too quickly. Extend operating hours.
