This place is trash. I went in for a routine blood test and it went well no issues. Went fairly quick to be honest. My issue with this place is that now it’s been over a month I never received any call or email around my blood test results BUT I got a bill for it. How can I possibly get the bill before my test results?

I had gone to New Port Medical to get my annual blood test. There were two ladies there. The nurse actually drawing the blood was fine, but from the minute i entered the second lady seemed to have a major attitude problem. It was like she thought it was a pain in the neck that i was asking them to do my bloodwork. Then after drawing my blood the nurse told me that the doctor had apparently written up an additional blood test. I told her i will check with my husband as it is his insurance and i wanted to be sure of whether it was covered. After I got back and told them it was ok to do the test, the non nurse lady disdainfully asked me you called your husband for that!.. In the medical field i have always come across extremely polite and nice people. These people were down right rude for no reason. I have been told to expect the results in 4 days. Lets see what is next in store. But the first encounter was terrible.

Really bad billing issues. The staff alluded to me that its not well handled. No one calls you back from the billing department, no ones called me back from the billing department in years. It led to multiple collection agencies hitting me up over $20 - $40 payments, not that I refused to pay but that I was never told I owed, it just goes direct to collections. I quit being a patient there over it last year and expressed my frustration and I now see I have another collection due when I was told I had a zero balance there when I was winding down my relationship. Nice staff but but organizationally a trainwreck.

Worst front desk staff and also the lab staff.

I never write reviews but in this case, I think is a must. I have been going to this Medical Center probably over 5 years now, and I have seen at least once all the physicians, but I must admit my favorite one and the only one I will want to see is Dr. Chinai, he is very caring to all my needs and make me feel like he really cares, listens and always so helpful., and as for the receptionist, they are very helpful, polite and care of the patients. Thanks you ALL for always being helpful and caring. :)

Never , try this center. They have the least responsible and rudest front desk . They are not organized. Each month for refilling a prescription they make to run between their office and the pharmacy.

Ive never seen anybody being taken in before an hour from their appointment time even for blood work. Please block atleast 2-3 hours if youre coming in just for a checkup.

Really bad experience, they are not able to handle new patients online, when you arrive there are 100 call outs to not go in and wait outside to get assistance... but you can be outside for long time, no one is paying at tuyo it....they made me wait for more than 1 hour even if I had an appointment set up. Which is the point of setting up time work the doctor???? Administration people do not wear mask 😱

I do say lately the practice has improved a lot. The staff is very friendly and doctors are nice too. They do have in house lab , allergy testing and a lot of service which most other primary offices dont have. All doctors are great and always infested in Patient well being. I do see some negative reviews but those are mostly management error which has been Improved a lot lately and the place is great. I am going there more than 4 years now and since last few months they have been significantly improved. Strongly recommend them.

IF YOU WANT TO BE MIS-TREATED, THEN GO TO THIS CENTER. HIGHLY INCOMPETENT DOCTORS AND PROVIDERS . THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND TREAT MEDICINE LIKE A JOKE. Dr. MANISH LUHANA TOLD ME MY PAIN IN ABS WOULD GO AWAY and IT HAPPENED TO BE DIAGNOSED AS A HERNIA! THEN THEY GAVE ME PRESCRIPTIONS WHICH WERE DECLINED BY MY INSURANCE PROVIDER FOR INADEQUATE MEDICAL NOTES. WHAT A JOKE THIS CENTER IS. PLEASE AVOID AT ANY COST, UNLESS YOU WANT MIS-DIAGNOSIS AND MIS-TREATMENT

This staff needs to be trained in the customer service for at least a week. Some of them looks like they are coming from worst parts of Jersey or they are brought there. One of the doctors was like that too. Almost zero bedside manner. I have been there a few times and only met once one staff that she was good.

Customer service receptionist is so rude to patients...I have visited earlier and my co pay used to get deducted from company MRA account. Now they are telling they have changed the rules and I have to pay$80 upfront if I have to see the doctor.. receptionist was blunt in say if I am not paying upfront now doctor wont see me.

Its great. One will say you need ear surgery because of a hike when in actuality, it is just fluid - as verified by the ENT THEY referred me to. Oh and a doc can laugh at you weight to your face. TWICE.

They never pick their call. I have a blood report expected 3 days ago. I havent received a single call confirming that my reports are ready. I have called them 5 times at this point. No one picks up. And it is well within the working hours in the middle of the day.

This is quite literally the worst doctors office I have ever been to. Even if you make an appointment you will always wait a minimum one hour.Once, was told they were backed up (at 830 I was supposed to be the first appointment) and I saw the doctor try to sneak in the back at 930! They flat out lied.The doctors are not specialists. Most of them are rude and follow check the box policies. I have had the same prescription for the last 10 years and the doctor makes me come in and do a full consultation every month. If I could find a closer doctor I would switch ! It may even be worth driving an hour to get a qualified doctor and remotely acceptable waiting time. This place is a joke. I would NEVER bring my child here I barely tolerate it for myself out of convenience.The waiting room looks like a homeless shelter the whole place is scary!

I failed to learn from other peoples comments here. Avoid this place at all costs, they sent my bill to collections even after i paid them in full immediately after i received my bill. Their billing department is virtually unreachable and all calls get directed to voicemail, to which they never respond.

I dont know why there are so many bad reviews. We have 3 kids that are patients here and the physicians and nurses are great. Yes the facility is a little small and crowded but its so worth it. They also have walk in hours on Saturday that is very convenient for parents who have busy work weeks. In addition they have a 24 hour call back service.

These people are insurance fraudsters. I went for annual physical exams which is covered 100% by my insurance. However they charge for extra visit when you go to pickup the reports. Of course they dont give reports the doctor has them and he charges you normal office visit. What a scam! How are you supposed to get free physicals that your insurance allows here?

I am a patient of Dr. Chinais and have been for some time. I have never experienced long wait times. It is shocking to see so many negative reviews. I always book my appointments on Zocdoc and come in. The waiting rooms are usually packed, but that is because there are several doctors including pediatric patients being seen at this location. I also enjoy the convenience of having the lab right there.

Service is usually quick and they have a couple of very good doctors associated with them. However I give them a low rating because of another reason. I would recommend anyone who visits this facility to carefully go through each claim they make to your insurance provider. They have a habit of putting duplicate or incorrect claims through insurance. They do it so commonly that I sometimes wonder if its a mistake. Their favorite one is to charge both me and my wife for a visit that I make when my wife is only accompanying me to the clinic. You only discover that later when you open your claim listing. They blame on that they were very busy that day but my guess is since most of us dont care and the insurer ends up paying so they get away with it. I am fed up of calling them to correct such mistakes. Just a heads-up to others.

This place has become progressively worse. Went there because of convenience but this place is mismanaged and money making racket. I have Hypothyroidism and therefore am on prescription medication. As such, these guys have had me come in once every quarter for a blood test so they can issue me a prescription. For each visit I get charged twice, once to come in and get a referral in order to get a blood test and a second one to come and pick up the results. Apart from paying twice each quarter for the same consultation , I wait an average of 1.30-2 hours, twice a quarter for something that takes less than 5 minutes of consultation. A good practice would have limited testing to once/ twice a year max in account of stable thyroid levels and charged once per consultation. Cutting my losses here and moving on. Stay away!!!

The worst place ever. So unprofessional

Worst experience ever, never try to visit this place. You would be kept in the waiting room for ~1 hour and see the doctor for 3 minutes. Then the doctor would ask you to schedule a follow-up, why? Because thus they can dig out more money from you or your insurance company. They would always prescribed you some OTC medication every time you visit, but no meaningful treatment. Probably you can get your symptom fully diagnosed correct by, like hmm, 5 office visits? LOL, they really tried hard.To be fair, the only advantage of this place is its location. Newport is a easy access location with massive amount of residents nearby. I guess thats why they dont care how bad their service are, as there are plenty of new customers.

Absolutely no words for the worst service given here from the reception staff.

This is just to let people know, this place is NOT a walk in clinic, even if it gives that impression. There have numerous occasions where Ive gone in here during their normal business hours, and they tell me to come back later.

I just received a medical bill for 6k for having blood exams done there. The insurance is, quite reasonably, saying this is too much and only offering to pay for 1k.Make *really sure* this place is in your health insurance network before you go.

The experience today is really bad, the line for PD is not very long but my kid has to wait for more than 2 hours due to the misconduct of the nurse who wrongly lead the doctor to a patient who suppose to be at our behind. Pretty disappointment for the quality of the staff.

The staff/receptionist was unbelievably careless and irresponsible. They forgot to send my medication to my pharmacy after my visit despite multiple reminders, and I ended up not having my medication and had to suffer from my severe cough, sore throat, and running nose for the whole weekend. This is horrible and unacceptable as I spent time and money to visit the office but did not get the medication I need due to the lack of attention of the staff.

I would not go again to this medical practice. I went there for my annual medical checkup which is fully covered by my insurance. However, the doctors office simply did a blood test and did not provide any explanatory notes (unlike other providers in Jersey city and elsewhere) on how to interpret the diagnostics. They wanted me to take additional paid appointments to interpret the results.I was seen by Dr. Ronak Chinai.

The one great thing about this location is that they always have availability. However, they have a long wait time. They also have rotating doctors which makes it difficult to build a relationship with just one doctor. Also the visit with the doctor is no more than 5 mins which to me is too fast. My last horrible experience was today. I was feeling super sick with a severe headache. After being told that I Didnt have to make an appointment and to just to walk in. I figured since they have their designated lunch everyday from 1pm-2pm. I will get there by 2:30pm. When I arrived they stated the doctor was running over 45 mins from lunch and there were 8 people waiting in front of me. I had to leave to visit a new doctor and will not see myself coming here again.

The majority staff is very very rude and unprofessional. It’s a shame because dr. Luhana and the rest of the doctors are top notch

The only good thing about this place is its convenient location. The wait times are ridiculous even if you have an appointment. They have like 5 receptionists and maybe 2 doctors. Billing is terrible in the sense that they do not send you the bill and then claim they sent it by snail mail and it must have been lost.They put you on hold forever if you call and then you get disconnected.There is no working water cooler in this clinic. What a joke!Please go through your bill very carefully. They bill you for the same services twice.I will be looking for a new health care provider.Update 15th Nov 2018I did not use their services again but rather spent the last 3 months going back and forth with the doctors office and their billing office about the duplicate charges.They have gone from worst to something even worse than that.They had put up a note saying vitamin shots are not covered by insurance and so ask you to pay for it upfront which is fair enough. Their policy is not to take credit cards without a fee for payments less than 30 dollars. So considering that, they had us pay 25 dollars for the shots in cash to avoid the credit card fee and did not issue a receipt saying service has already been provided. Then they submitted the claim to insurance for the same shots which was obviously rejected and they are demanding payment for the same shots again. The lady at the front desk acknowledged this and even gave us a note saying we had been charged twice but their billing office refuses to honor that. The doctors office does not communicate this mistake to the billing office despite repeated assurances that they will. They have even submitted this claim to collections and I have had to make the payment for fear they will put it on my credit report.Absolutely unethical business practices! These people are crooks who just want to fleece you out of your money. They just take advantage of the fact that they are the only medical practice in the Newport waterfront area.Lessons learnt -1. Avoid them like the plague.2. Always insist on receipts and pay by card when possible so you have a record!3. Scrutinize your bill closely as they slip in additional charges for seeing the doctor when you are there just for getting a shot4. Dont trust billing offices when they say they are investigating the charges. They just sit on it until they can submit it to collections!I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AND ADVISE OTHERS AGAINST USING THEIR SERVICES UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING CONNED!

Only go as a last resort, long waits, prior appointments does not help. Staff not supportive either.

Its ok - all my visits have been good and quick recovery.

I reached the center in this heavy snow but the center was closed without any updates on internet or when i called yesterday. Highly irresponsible behavior and major harassment to patients.like me who was in pain and walked in to the center to seek help. I was standing all by myself in the heavy snow. Pl improve ur operations u can b much better. Thamks

I was told that On 31 dec, the doc is available from 9-1 pm but on visiting doc at 12:15 pm they said the doc Mr. Pranav has already cut off for the day. However the website says open hours are 8-2 pm. Very unprofessional and unethical - if that was the case they should have informed the patient before. I was totally misinformed.

Horrible place to receive care from.

Rude staff and wait time is way too long. They do not respect the appointment time.no matter what you need to wait for more than an hour.

Complete sh!thole. Do not go here.

Visit only if you wanna keep waiting for longer time and getting all types of unnecessary/ unusual tests done .
