I can’t say enough great things about Dr Matey and his staff. They took the time to explain my procedure, what caused my issue, answered all of my many questions and made me feel comfortable during the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Matey and his team. I’m loving the outcome and my legs are looking and feeling fantastic!

I went here with a Groupon. I got in and he missed his lunch just to see me: took care of my consult and he did the service I purchased and he explained very simple man terms how my veins work and how we can work together to fix it in the future.

From initial contact by phone to make my first appointment, I felt welcome.I was given an appointment immediately for my initial consultation, which i later discovered was an after hours appointment, however, I was received as if it had been durung regularly scheduled hours. None of the staff appeared rushed, nor lacked a smile.After the completion of the required paper work on the day of my appointment, I was escorted back to await consultation with Dr.Matey. From beginning to end of the consultation, he displayed a patient, ethical, compassionate and thorough demeanor with an underlying sense of relaxation which in my case was priceless since although I am a medical professional, one usually expects the worse. However Dr.Matey put my mind at ease and offered bope by giving me a very through, step by step explanation of the upcoming diagnostics and treatment, and answered all my questions,, in spite of the fact that it was long after closing time.As simple as it may seem, the fact that both Dr. Matey and his staff adressed me on a first name basis, was the selling point because that simple gesture made me feel as though I was an important part of their day, not just a number or a task to be completed. I felt confident that my treatment plan and plan of care were individualized and tailor made to fit my needs. Establishing trust, is the beginning of a succesful patient/doctor relationshi.I have not yet started my treatments because of scheduling conflicts on my end, however, I AM CERTAIN that it will be a smooth, relaxed and unintimidating experience.Dr. Matey and his staffs very personable, down to earth approach is what defines his practice as excellent in the profession by going above and beyond the expectations and refuses to just settle for mediocrity.

The staff and doctor were very professional and polite. The doctor took the time to listen to my issues and he explained in detail the procedure and how it would help fix many of my symptoms. If you have vein issues, I suggest making an appointment here first.

I went to South Jacksonville Vein Specialist to have spider veins looked at recently. The staff there is very friendly and professional which I appreciate because I am not fond of doctors. They explained everything to me in a language I could understand and really helped me feel at ease. I have been there twice since and each visit I have is enjoyable and with little to no wait time. I highly reccomend them to anyone with the same issues as me.

I am 6 months postpartum and began seeing Dr. Matey 2 months ago to treat swelling in my legs that occurred daily- even after the birth of my son. My legs were also very achy and felt as though I had run miles by the end of each day. It has been about a month since my last treatment and I cant believe the improvement. I can stay active with the baby for an entire day without having to lay with my feet up by 6 pm each evening... I was even able to go on a long flight this past week, followed by a 3 hour drive without any swelling! The treatment wasnt exactly a walk in the park, but very short lived... Dr. Matey and his staff are very supportive and caring making it absolutely tolerable and very much worth it.
