Kids love it here!! All are so friendly

We did the baseball camp here for 5 days at $265. Based in the description, it seemed like they would learn different skills and improve themselves. This was not the case. Based on what my child told me, the 7 hours a day they were there it was a play day. 1 hour everyday was dodgeball I know. The main coach wasnt there half the time. When I came to pick him up everyday they were playing a kiddie version of baseball where it didnt look like they cared what they were doing. My kid had fun but not what we paid for nor expected. Disappointedand Wont return here for baseball camp.

Now that Ive been to a few volleyball tournaments I think Ive learned enough to know that this is a nice tournament venue. Easy to get to because it is right off a major Interstate. Lots of hotels very close by. Ditto for food options. The staff are pleasant and efficient. The facility is clean and well maintained. I saw some complaints about the bleachers, but theyre no worse than the usual seating rolled out at a typical convention center tournament. As for the snack bar, what do you expect? I like going to tournaments here.

Their staff is not qualified to deal with children! I signed up my child for baseball camp and we were really excited at first because we love the sport but they have 15 year olds as “coaches”. I picked up my child in tears on the fourth day he was there. When I approached the head coach and asked him why my son was crying, he sugar coated things and simply said they were playing with him but did not tell me the whole story. I then asked my son and he said one of the coaches insulted the children calling them idi***, dummies, telling them to shut up and overall cussing. To top it off one of the coaches grabbed him and held him so that other children can throw balls and hit him! My child was so frustrated after telling him multiple times to stop but continued to hold him, that had no choice but to bite the coaches finger to get him off of him! This is completely unacceptable.

Everything was nice and clean. The facility was SUPERB. Amy at the concession stand was PHENOMENAL. Everything was organized.

My Granddaughter plays Volleyball here. What a huge sports complex. Clean!! Attendance has been limited due to Covid but was wide open this past weekend. YEAH!! Great place.

I shouldve did more research before signing up. It looks nice, but they dont teach any skills unless you pay for a class. Maybe its just our coach cause I see the other coaches actually showing girls how to play. I now see most of these 5 star reviews are about the facility being nice & visiting teams that never had to deal with these coaches.

Paid $12 per day to watch my kid play in a vball tourney. You think for that price this place would have adequate parking instead of guests having to park all down the street, which is a major safety hazard. You would also think they could afford air conditioning....it was barely cool in the facility!!! The players need a better place to play in Jax!

Highly disappointed, while the facility is nice, all they do in local club play is scrimmage, they dont teach them how to play. They should be clear that they dont teach any skills during local play. You have to pay for all the seperate classes I guess if you want to learn how to play defense, offense or learn a position. Its been 4 months and the girls know nothing. They barely run drills all you will do is scrimmage. The coach seems young and inexperienced, what else is new in Jacksonville. Dont waste your money with club with them if your child has never played. HUGE WASTE.

Who charges $60/hour for a single court during dead hours and expects people to be excited to rent it out? Definitely not JJVA. And since no one rents them out at their ridiculous price, youd think they would consider reducing prices to increase interest...but they dont.

What a great venue!! Attended a girls volleyball tournament this past weekend.My first time and I was very impressed how organized the tournament was!!

This is a very nice facility, however, their food policy is absurd. They do not allow ANY outside food. This policy means that anyone with health issues, food sensitivity issues, allergies, etc can not bring their own food. Dont stop for coffee prior to arrival at 8 AM . . . you will NOT be allowed to bring it in. Really should reconsider.

It was great. My daughter enjoyed it very much. Thank for the opportunity.

The new facility is excellent. The coaching staff has always been the best. They really listen to the players and take into account all of their needs which is saying a lot when youre mostly dealing with teenage girls. They turn out excellent teams and all the players have good team spirit and support each other.

I love vb and I went to a clinic there it was really fun!

Crazy loud today but wonderful tournament host. Low bleacher seating, offering fast food, tables in Cafe area.

I’ve been to many tournaments held at this facility, I have two daughters in Volleyball (not at JJVA) and parking is always nightmare at this place. I just had surgery on my knee and it’s difficult to walk. The first day of a tournament, I was being dropped of at the front of the gym with my daughter and the “director” came banging on my window telling us to move. The next day, I parked on the side of the building in “staff parking” because there is a door closest to the parking area. While I was sitting in my car waiting for my daughter to come out to eat lunch (you can’t bring food in this facility and we had a PM wave and she wanted to watch the AM wave which I had no interest in) this same “director” came banging on my window asking me a list of questions (in a very rude tone) why I was in his staff parking area. I told him I was waiting for my daughter and she would be coming out of the door, pointing to the side door. He became very verbally aggressive and told me if my daughter uses that door he was going to kick my daughter out of the tournament. Then he wanted to know where my daughter played. I proceeded to tell him he was being very rude and apologized. Threatening to kick my daughter of a Qualifying tournament for using a side door is ridiculous! In all the 10 years of my volleyball experiences, I’ve never encountered someone so rude, especially a director!

My daughter attended a three day skills camp over Winter break. She went from a complete novice to a competent player in three days.More importantly, the staff and the atmosphere they created left no time for cliques or “mean girls” to exert a negative influence on the interpersonal dynamics. That is rare and commendable.I am grateful that they introduced my daughter to the sport and made her feel comfortable quickly.I only deducted a star because they are not very responsive to questions from parents or would be campers. Their website is rudimentary and their pre-camp communication was absent. That said, the in-person experience for my daughter was very professional and worth overlooking the online and phone impression they give.

The tall white man that works here told us we weren’t allowed to pass on the concrete so we left and then almost an hour later we started passing on the court bc he said to pass on the court earlier and he care over and told us we needed to stop because we “weren’t wearing the right shoes” and said it was for safety as if we don’t know how to pass. And he kept staring at us after we sat back down.

Rude, most unwelcome staff I’ve ever seen in a tournament! Many teams were from out of town in a tournament this past month and I couldn’t believe the amount of complaints I heard from this facility until I experienced myself. I wish this facility would not be in our itinerary next year because they are unprofessional and inhospitable! On top of parking being extremely limited, and the food being discussing, this facility can’t hold the capacity booked and we have to park on the street! I would never recommend this place to any person, family, or tournament!

Very professionally run, well organized, clean. Easy access to I-95. Plenty of parking but some of the lots are far from the entrance.

Great staff and facility!! Love to see my daughter smiling as much when she comes out of training as when she goes in. Thank you for your dedication to our junior VB players.

I played a few hosted games here. The JJVA coaches and players were inconsiderate of our starting times, playing up to and past our games scheduled time. I could be understanding of this, but it was every day and they were just running practice. The JJVA coaches were also not accepting of our league, instructing us that we could not warm up anywhere accept for the courts our league scheduled. If you want to rent some courts, youre better off somewhere else.

My daughter was in a tournament here this past weekend. Parking was a nightmare. There should be better separation between courts to prevent interference during games; balls rolling on courts at critical times while game volleys are going on. Maybe more netting and more seating.

My daughter loves volleyball... JJVA was a good decision. She has developed her talent in such a short time with good mentorship. I love to see the teamwork and sportsmanship.

This is a great place for kids to play volleyball and train for school programs. Watched my granddaughter compete and had a really good time.

Great place and wonderful staff! People who have a real passion about athletes and their development! If you have a love of volleyball, come here!

Love the new complex completely dedicated to volleyball - this location is great, the courts are wonderful and the staff is very friendly for our adult league play. Looking forward to my daughter getting coaching here over the summer.
