Nice that this place gives us a place to live but we have a curfew thats at 6pm that do not give us enough time to do the things that we need to get done, and to mention we take public transportation and here in Jacksonville its terrible and takes us two hours to go across town but in the car it would take you 10 minutes me not having a car it takes longer to go somewhere and come back. I always fimd myself trying to rush back home the curfew makes no since even a lot of their rules like how they take our phones when we come into the buildingand for curfew, we can only get it back when we leave out in the morning.

If I can give this place zero stars I would. This is not YOUTH CRISIS CENTER. They can care less if your child was in a CRISIS. They will find any excuse to not accept your child. It took my sons guidance counselor to be firm and fierce with them to accept him. After hours of push back. First 6 pm. Then 730 pm. Then 8 pm. I arrive there at 8:30 pm and they asked my son a series of questions regarding harming himself. They JUMP the gun on one question and contact JSO behind my back. When JSO arrive he tells me that this place is a joke and they are always calling them. He tells me that my son does not fall into the catagory of baker acting him. Obviously I knew this since I was right in front of them when he was truthfully answering the questions. This was just an excuse to not accept it as they denied me over the phone just because my son refuses to take meds. People this is not a crisis center. If you need help with your kids this place is not it. Continue looking for resources. Someone will help us. Unfortunately it takes things to be TOO LATE before they take mental health serious. I donate to YCC once a month through my paycheck. That will stop effective tomorrow. Thank you for the push back today. Thank you for showing me that I’m running out of options and no one will help!

My son is here now. I do not feel they are helping me with child at all. These people tell my son that they dont have to speak with their parents on the phone.if they dont want too. My son is so disrespectful towards me and he is getting worse. I thought by sending him their would get him some help by talking to a counselor. But I dont feel its working at all. I feel this place is turning my son against me. And hurting our family bond.

My arm is currently broke. However, in my daughters 9 day stay...starting from intake they were telling me every reason why they could not take my daughter for her end up not completing...they called me 52 minutes after i took my daughter to a 6 hour hospital visit because she had a scratch. Upon her return, I made it home and settled around 9-10 at night to be called right back up there because she was being defiant. Once my arm heals i will start from the first phone call. This place is not in business residential, respite children in crisis.

Stay here when I was young back in 1989 or 1990 they really help me. I was a very scared child just went through something a child should never have to. But they was there to help me. And they made sure that I did not go back to the people that abused me. Back then my name was Melissa e. Cooper. Well now Ive grown up and have kids of my own thank you for all that you did for me.

My 16 YEAR OLD cousin has been missing from this place for over 24 hours because they allowed her to check herself out and did not try to contact her mother at all and only called her father once and had not called back even though they did not reach him. I do not recommend at all if you’re worried about safety.

This establishment deserves more than 1 star. They do great work here however due to Nina Lopezs ignoring my request to volunteer I have to give them a 1. I went on a tour with 2 other potential volunteers. She had already provided them with the proper documentation so they can volunteer however she had not emailed me anythng. After the tour she said she would get me the proper paperwork I never received it. I have since emailed her 3 and left 2 phone voicemails for her about volunteering and also getting required documentation filled out. She has not responded to my emails or my phone calls. I guess she didnt want me to volunteer in the first place.

So far YCC has been NOTHING BUT a big joke!!! I hope some one with some authority reads my review and desires to help me with my child. I have called them 3x begging for help and the last 2x I spoke with a man by the name Cedric who called himself a Supervisor. He is very nonchalant and during the entire call he sounds like he does not care AT ALL!! He tries to ask questions so he can tell you they cant accept your child. I asked him to play back the call so he can hear my answers.Every time Ive called my childs behavior has escalated now she is running away. I had to call the police. When is enough enough? What does my child have to do for me to get HELP? DEAD IS TOO LATE!!!!!

My son was seeing a therapist here and she left for a new employer but passed us over to another therapist at the facility. The new therapist spent a couple of months seeing him and then she also quit. It took them ages to find a new therapist and the new therapist only sees patients between 1pm and 4pm which never works with our schedule. We now must find a new therapist. The psychiatrist here told us the turnover rate is pretty bad and that this is the norm. Not good at all for kids who need to build relationships with a therapist.

Horriable place for your child!!! The staff makes you think you have no choice of leaving your child.. then once they are in their care they abuse them!! The staff thinks its ok for other staff to roast kids ... they have isuess with parents saying a F word or bullshit when they have done wrong but they walk around cursing the kids putting their hands on them .. one staff member told another child you have been to d.d.c right? The child answered back with yes . The staff member told the child he needed to go back so he could have more dick in his mouth! So if u have a troubled child and just want to get rid of them and not care this is your place.. But if you care about your child run away fast!!! The social workers that help find out what is going on no longer except your phone calls after you bring this to their attention. ... good luck getting any help from or after this place.. if I need to in can also start posting names of the staff that are abusing these children. . The facility is aware of these things going on but only hung their head until late I had to get even more irate mom on them when I found out what was going on.. my child was there a week when he tried to call me to let me know the whole group was denied phone calls it took 4 days and 3 childern to run to get anyone to help them!!BEWARE!!!!!!!
