My name is Stephanie. I started with NACA in August of 2020 and I was given the run around for months. I was told the wrong things and it pushed back my process. Every time I called someone rude would answer and give me the run around too so I lost hope with this program. I was then assigned to Cecil after my counselor left NACA and he has given me hope. He’s knowledgeable and friendly and has been a big help since our first meeting. He doesn’t keep me in the dark about stuff and answers all of the questions I have. He is truly amazing! Just dont do it. The stress is not worth it. I wrote a previous message saying I couldnt wait to finish the process after 2 whole years of getting nowhere JESUS stepped in 🙏🏽. The program has helped us to save more and watch our spending that I must say was probably the reason GOD allowed us to stay so Long. I hope your journey is not the same as ours. I finally let NACA go and now I can stop stressing.

NACA has opened the door to home ownership for me just when it seemed I’d never be ever to get into a house due to the high costs of buying a home. They have the best interest rates, no money down, no pmi, no closing costs. It is a process to go through and you must remain patient and diligent but it will pay off.

The NACA program is very beneficial to anyone considering buying a home. Helpful housing counselors in the Jacksonville office like Rekita work with clients to get them approved ASAP and ready to shop for homes they’ll love and be able to afford.

Good program for new homebuyers. Counselor Rekiyatou is very knowledgeable and helpful. The office itself is extremely busy and too short staffed to handle the homebuying service demands. I believe that with adequate staffing, the process could flow more efficiently.

This program is not a scam, but that doesnt mean that this is an efficient, competent or easy to use program.This program will save you a down payment and closing cost on a house which is about 20K-to 40K, which is the #1 reason people dont own a home their entire lives. To those people this program is a godsend.You will pay for those savings in the form of work, frustration, and patience you will need to have to upload documents onto their faulty member portal. You will spend dozens of hours in calls and emails writing to your counselor, calls and email which they will not answer and only respond to on your 3rd or 4th attempt. Even after you upload the documents they require from you, they sit for months pending waiting for your counselor to review and accept them into your package. When they finally get around to accepting the documents they are too old, and they tell you to upload them again.The workers are currently using the COVID-19 crisis to their advantage, any delay or lack of response is being blamed on CORONA, but as you can see from all the past reviews, the lack of communication has existed since the existence of the program. NACA is severely understaffed and are about 2-3 months behind at any given time.They are non-profit, even though they charge you $25 and $14 for fees and credit reports they doesnt cover the costs of computer servers, telephones, employee salaries, office rents, workshops, printing costs and a million other cost. Now Im not sure if they get a brokers fee from loan, which could be profitable if they do, but i dont know.The videos of the live events where people are clapping and doing back flips because they have been approved is a little of a deceptive, these people have not been approved and some of these people may later find out they are not approved. They are only getting pre-approved, which in the world of mortgages doesnt mean that much, it just means you have just handed in all your [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] are some of the email addresses other than your counselor you are going to have to grind continuously to get a response from someone.The people that say this is a scam is people that unfortunately gave up after all the red tape from NACA or never got the responses or replies.This program has a slogan the squeakiest wheel get the oil or hurry up and wait.

It helps people buy house that right for you if you do the work.

This is a good company that provides access to services for potential home owners.
