Always liked this store, just hard to consistently support them with the outrageous prices (the name brand milks are way more than Whole Foods or Publix). I understand that there’s not much they can do about it. They aren’t Whole Foods. But overall, they have a solid selection of healthy food items and great smoothies.

Must see!! Friendly knowledgeable staff and a great selection of herbs and teas including farm-direct American ginseng.

Totally glad I found this place! I was getting raw milk delivered to my home because the local dairy farm is about 45 minutes away. This place is only 10 minutes away and have raw milk so I can go whenever I want.

My husband and I love popping into Grassroots at least once a week for the freshest produce and their amazing gluten-free options. We usually have to grab a smoothie too because theyre just that good! Staff is always pleasant and we just love supporting this locally owned business!

Try the Mellow Greens juice. love it! always friendly and helpful staff. They carry Shakti food items in cold case. Delish!

Just moved to the area from a very health conscious city. I wasnt sure a southern town would have a quality health food store. This place is quality and then some!!Amazing selection of vitamins and herbs, very good vegan alternatives on the menu and the shelves. Staff is very fun and nice!! Smoothies are impossibly good!!

The only reason I would ever give his place four stars is because of how expensive it is. Other than that it has all the wonderful healthy options you could ever imagine. Some organic Oreos yum yum :-). They even have stainless steel Tiffin carrier for take out so you stay away from that pesky plastic. You can also to Fresh juices and a variety of other things.

I absolutely love this marketplace. They have excellent local options, the best fresh pressed juices and Smoothies. Customer service is always A1.

The customer service is above excellent. Staff is quite knowledgeable on their products and if they cannot answer a question they will ask another worker or look the answer up. They make you feel as if you are home. If you cant find an item, they will order it for you and notify you in a timely manner when its available. Prices are very reasonable, way better than those at While Foods. Kudos to all the staff!

I can always find some of the hardest to find items & sometimes even cheaper than on Amazon and of course Wholefood. All the staff are friendly and very helpful, even the new faces. Their wheatgrass & total cleanse shots are the truth hunty.

Walked in just to check it out. They have a nice variety (local and not) of vegan/raw/vegetarian products ranging from food/drink to supplements to cleaning products. I had been looking to try some ume plum vinegar and finally found it here.

Absolutely the worst consistent customer service ever! We’ve been going there ever since we moved here(5 years)almost daily because their smoothies are great and extremely healthy. But if there was another place that opened up close to us we would never walk in there again. Not only is the customer service horrible, I have known so many employees that have left saying, “the management/ managers are dreadfully awful to work for.” It’s so sad because all the health food stores we’ve ever been to all over the country are some of the nicest, coolest people ever! If you ever notice they are ALWAYS hiring, there’s a definite reason for that, which is a shame. But the lack of great customer service is soooo disappointing. Especially in today’s world where good service goes a long way! Please someone open another health food /natural food store in Riverside, you would kill it!!!

Stopped by for the first time today and I will be coming back! I picked up some wine and greens and grabbed a fresh juice drink. Ive never been a huge fan of juices but I will be returning for more in the future! Everyone was friendly and helpful there was well.

Grassroots juice bar smoothie are very overpriced for a small smoothie they dont offer a lot of superfoods for your smoothie, long lines rude service. I recommend Wave Juice Bar & Cafe, The service excellent the smoothies are very delicious they have a weight loss juice plan, detox plan, and they offer all different types of superfoods like spirulina turmeric and ect. They also offered doordash for delivery and you can also order online and have your drinks delivered to you weekly for your diet weight loss plan, and the prices are very reasonable. I love Grassroots grocery, vitamins and aromatherapy section, the only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the smoothies are not good, it was not blended well and I was very disappointed, other then that minor flaw, this store is great and very vegan friendly and they have numerous variety brands of vitamins at a great price...

Finding a grocery store that doesnt make you wade through aisles of junk food is amazing. It smells fresh, looks clean, the selections are incredible, and everyone who works there is super kind and respectful ❤

The smoothies I ordered were supposed to have cbd in them, there was no cbd unfortunately I felt ripped off.

Some of the snacks are way higher here but other selections are very reasonable. The beer options are nice and the fresh food prepackaged is a good deal. Get some healthy picks and a vice in one stop!

I am so grateful for this little gem after the heartbreaking closure of Native Sun. It is definitely out of my way, but literally the only place left in town I can really trust to carry organic, local, and ethical selections. Sure some of the big box stores carry some of those items, but you have to pick through and be much more careful in reading labels. A place like Grassroots really cares about what they put on their shelves (just like Native Sun did), and have been doing so for many years.. It means the world to me, and I love supporting this local establishment with heart. It’s worth the out-of-the-way trip for me weekly. You have a new loyal customer!

A very nice setup with the lights and seating outside. If the weathers nice in the evening, you can just grab a beer and watch the people and cars pass by.A nice place to chill specially with the right company.

Certainly one of the better markets of this type in Jacksonville. There is a great selection and the staff is helpful. Be aware - prices at stores of this genre are approximately 15 to 20% higher than national brand specialty grocery stores. You will want to pay attention to their advertised specials. This will help mitigate the higher cost and still allow you to support this high quality business.

Today for the first time I visited Grassroots store. It was fabulous compact, and well laid out to move around. I really enjoyed my time at Grassroots, I tried the Bee’s smoothie it was well made and great tasting I will definitely will be trying this place again. This place also has real tuna and I tried the tuna salad. It was amazing and I made a sandwich out of it and I enjoyed it a lot.

The Tumeric smoothie I ordered was absolutely delicious & there is an extensive inventory of natural supplements. Also they have protein powders not derived from whey or soy, which is big for me because those hurt my stomach!

This place is really great mainly because there arent any places really like it since native sun closed down. If you are a juicer there are fantastic options. They have uncommon and excellent choices in their produce section as well. One negative are prices are a little high and being so small a location you will have trouble finding everything on your grocery list.

If my wallet could afford it, I’d only shop there. The produce section is dreamy. They have really good vegan sandwiches to go and they also offer smoothies (the menu is on a HUGE board so there’s definitely something for everyone). They have interesting drinks like CBD juices and a big variety of kombuchas. If you need supplements or vitamins, that’s the place to go to. The staff is very nice and helpful.

I can not say enough about this market. You can EVERYTHING you need and more. The variety of foods and products they manage to pack in here is out of this world. It is neat and clean. They even have a juice bar. The prices are even decent. The people are informative and especially nice. I cant wait to go back.

Great little grocery market for organic products and other items that fall under the health food umbrella. They carry a few items you cant find elsewhere in this part of the city. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is fabulous. We really love this store.

Good little market, so happy to this place last time I came into visit. I was worried I wouldnt be able to find the thing I need and use on a daily basis and this place had almost everything I needed and so much more. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Even when it came to the stuff I was looking for(which was only two things out of probably 20) they where more than willing to tell me where I could find it. So happy a shop like this is open in Riverside.

We usually get smoothies. They are delicious but whats best is that team of guys really enjoy working together and that makes the experience fun.

True most places as always its better to do your own research. While a smaller store they do carry a very wide expression of organic. Some deals are very good but like anything organic expect to pay more

Super healthy selection. I was pleasantly surprised. The only reason I gave them four star review instead of five stars was because they didnt have any bulk bins, and theyre was a few times their selection had multiple plastic and no glass or paper options. So they were healthy but not as environmentally friendly as I hoped they would be.

While in line for checkout on 7/26/20I observed the manager Tabz being extremely loud and disrespectful yelling at another customer in front of everyone in line over a smoothie. The cashier Olivia told Tabz that Benny made the customers order wrong. She had a medium smoothie and small smoothie, not two small juices. The manager, Tabz, told the customer in a hostile manner: I am not going to remake your drinks! She then told the Juice guy Benny to throw her drinks away (which the customer never drank or touched). After Tabz refunded the customer, she had the audacity to talk bad about the customer to to other customers in line when the lady left. This is the most despicable service Ive ever seen in a grocery store. The managers attitude was so so offensive and despicable it made me feel very uncomfortable coming back to this store again. Thanks.

And the staff is always very pleasant and helpful ,they also have a wonderful young man in the Nutrition department who is extremely knowledgeable on just about everything regarding nutritional supliments as well as anything else on the subject of health. He came from Native sun, and I am excited to see him here at my favorite neighborhood store. 😊

Great selection of foods and organic groceries here, as well as the smoothies. Just a tad crammed is all. Could use more room when waiting for a smoothie, and the menu is a bit disorganized with the writing, how everything is crammed together.

This is a well stocked store with a good selection of meat, produce and packaged food. They also have some good beer selections. I found them because they carry White Oak Pastures (WOP) humanly raised meat. They don’t carry all the WOP offerings but they have a better selection than the large grocery chains.

This is the best store for Organics vitamins supplements, smoothies and whatnot in this entire city. When you go there give yourself time to shop and Ponder. And basically all the time the sales staff will answer every question and ask for assistance when they are not certain.

I used to shop here a lot and buy most of my groceries from here like 9-10 years ago. However, their prices have gone up drastically and it’s not convenient for me to shop their anymore especially with all the increased competition and e-commerce having much more reasonable prices on the same products, brands of supplements and organic foods. Some of the items they are selling in their store I find the same exact brands and companies online and I receive them sometimes the same day or the next day right at my door step. I’m pay a lot less then I would be paying if I would be shopping for thosecsane items at Grassroots. It just doesn’t make sense to my to by something at Grassroots for example, $30 when I can go online and order the same item for 1/2 the price and not even pay for shipping. All I’m saying is why jack your prices up so high when competitors charge less. That’s how you loose business. Anyway other than that, it’s an Ok store to shop at. They don’t carry a lot of things and some brands but they’ll tell you they can order it for you. But I’m like, well I can order it myself. Why have you order it to the store just so you can double charge me. I understand they have expenses to pay and so forth because it’s a business. But you’re not fitting my budget then I’m dumping you.

I STILL CANT GET OVER THE RANGE OF PRODUCTS AND FOODS OFFERED HERE! NOT ONLY DID WE FIND RARE GOODIES FOR OURSELVES, BUT GREAT GIFTS FOR OTHERS TOO. WE PICKED UP ITEMS FOR THE MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN IN OUR LIVES... AND ORDERED YUMMY, NUTRITIOUS, REFRESHING JUICES ^_^

Unique little natural market nestled into 5 Points. I dont come here for weekly shopping but if Im looking for a specific natural or organic item, chances are they have it. I buy my soap here as well as my milk and as a bonus they have goats milk and raw local cows milk which is great for making your own cheese. If youre into craft and foreign beers then check out their selection, its the best in Riverside.
