I visited this medical practice to examine an eye that some debris fell into. Long story short, I was charged a ton of money even though they did nothing to solve my problem.At my first visit, the doctor removed a small foreign object from my eye with a Q-Tip, and told me that my eye was all clear. I was skeptical because my eye still hurt, but I thought it would go away. I was charged over $600 for this simple Q-tip procedure.A few days later I went back for the same, unresolved issue. This time the same doctor said there is still something in my eye, and I need to see specialist. I was charged again, for the same issue, that was diagnosed incorrectly in the first visit . Somehow, according to the front desk, it was my fault, not the doctor missing it.At my THIRD visit, for the same problem, with a specialist, I waited 2 hours for my appointment. Shockingly, the specialist came in for a quick check up, said there was nothing in my eye, and rushed out.Its been over a month and my eye still hurts, and still feels like there something in there. Regardless, the bills came, and now I owe them over $1000, even though I am in the same boat as before I ever went here!This is hardly a caring medical establishment, simply an in-and-out business. When it comes to billing me, everyone is on top of their game. When it comes to actually helping my problem, its quickly rushed and incorrectly resolved.Stay away.

Florida Eye Specialists are great. Dr. Freidl performed my cataract surgery and the whole process was painless and stress free. I now have perfect distance vision. This is one of the greatest gifts ever.

My dad was supposed to have simple cataract surgery with Dr. Shetty. We showed up for surgery and his labs were taken. We were told his electrolytes were dangerously off so they wouldn’t do surgery. We were to go to dialysis and the doctor himself indicated he or his partner would do it the next day. Turns out the labs taken were incorrect even though they did two tests because they used the same blood sample instead of drawing new blood. So my dad stayed overnight in a hospital in a pandemic because they did labs wrong. Our surgery was scheduled for the next day as per Dr. Shetty’s indication that he or his partner could perform it. One hour before scheduled arrival we received a call saying Dr. Shetty cancelled the surgery because he didn’t want to be “rushed”. Completely going back on what he said the day before and that he wanted us to schedule an appt before we scheduled surgery. I have come in from out of town to assist my dad with the surgery and now we are at a loss because of this center’s errors and Dr. Shetty’s lack of follow through.

Her passion came through only to be matched by her skill and professionalism .

Dr. Freidl is dedicated to helping patients not only see better by doing a complete and thorough examination to keep vision at its best for as long as possible, but she listens and is able to offer suggestions. She is a knowledgeable and caring Opthalmologist and a lovely person.

I was so apprehensive about having cataract surgery. Dr. Freidl explained every aspect of the surgery in detail. I felt completely relaxed knowing I had chosen the very best surgeon for my needs.My second surgery I was so relaxed she said I wouldnt stop talking during the procedure.My vision is so improved that I can now read the 20/20 line on the eye chart.

I went to Florida Eye Specialist for my yearly checkup and as usual, I was given a very extensive exam by the assistant prior to seeing Dr Patel. These were not just casual exams, but very professionally done. These eye exams were not uncomfortable in the least and by the time I had completed the exam with Dr Patel, the results were in. I had excellent results and was good for another 6 months. Thank you staff and doctor for making my visit always a pleasant experience.

No complaints with the doctors & staff, however, being on time for a patients appointment I would rate one ⭐️ star. Always at least an hour behind scheduled patient time. This area definitely needs work, for a patients time needs to be respected as does arriving on time for the appointment!

Called as a New Patient - didnt feel any customer friendly responses but I pushed through the conversation trying to schedule because I was referred by a patient of mine. During the time the receptionist was looking for available times - I overheard another employee discussing another patient and how rude she was and then another employee engaged in the conversation talking about this patient in a negative manner. I thought if this is the respect you give your existing patients NO THANK YOU. My first impression was spot on with this front desk. First Impressions are everything - I dont care how good your doctors are. Your office may want to revisit training the front staff.

This is the second time I have been to Florida Eye Specialists and everyone there is really nice. Dr. Freidl was thorough and answered all of my questions.

It is difficult for a layman to evaluate the abilities of someone in a specialized profession. However, skills such as communication, thoroughness, description of options, etc. can be evaluated and Dr. Freidl scores perfectly on all these. I have severe glaucoma and she has done an excellent job describing how I can proceed, and the results of her surgery and post-op care have been outstanding.

You will not find a more skilled or caring physician/surgeon than Dr. Freidl! I cannot be happier with my results of my laser surgery and cataract removal in both eyes. I experienced an amazing improvement in vision on day 1 and my vision just keeps getting better. Not only do I no longer need glasses for reading, computer work or driving, my depth perception has improved along with my color vision. This office staff is the most efficient, friendly and professional staff I have ever experienced. It goes from all the way from check in, assistants, and check out! Dr. Hasan is beyond amazing. He saved my eyesight that another doctor had mistreated. He is always so caring and takes time to answer all and any questions. I have never had such a great experience at a doctors office. My wait time is usually about 5 minutes from check in and I am usually walking out the door (after all tests and Dr visit) within 30 minutes! Unbelievable practice. I highly recommend this practice.

Everyone in this practice was extremely knowledgeable in their particular area of expertise. I was devastated when I had to cancel my appointments due to hospitalizations. If anyone is looking for an eye specialist you will definitely be in excellent company of great eye care physicians.

We have been going to Florida Eye Specialists and Dr. Freidl has always been my daughters doctor. My daughter was born with an undeveloped optic nerve in one of her eyes. Her eyes are also very large and was having problems with the pressure build up. Dr. Friedl was so patient and kind to my daughter. Kathy even asks about her babies and pets. Kathy finally had to have laser surgery on both eyes. I truly trust Dr. Friedl with my daughters eyesight.The office is always clean and cheery. The staff has always been very helpful and courteous. Dr Freidl is a Great + ophthalmologist. I am a glaucoma patient with cataracts. I had the laser assisted cataract surgery removed by her..Being extremely sensitive to drugs---I opted not to have anesthesia during surgery and she agreed to it, I only had local anesthetic on each eye, I trusted she would do a good job and she delivered. I didnt feel any pain during or after surgery she walks you through what shes doing and that gave me comfort and trust. Within 5 hrs of surgery I was able to watch little TV without glasses. I didnt experienced any pain or discomfort and didnt even need an aspirin, I followed the post op instructions and within a weeky my world was bright with awesome vision! February 2019I recently became a patient of Dr. Fredils because of my 30 years of living with Glaucoma. The last 18 years of that period I’ve had IOP controlling Blebs. In the last five years Cataracts have progressively impaired my vision.Dr. Freidl is my fourth local opinion regarding cataract surgery using the Femtosecond Laser procedure with Glaucoma Blebs.The three other Glaucoma specialists’ did not feel confident that laser surgery was a good choice because of the Glaucoma Blebs.Dr. Freidl, however, was very confident that the low well controlled IOPs would not be an issue with laser surgery.I am happy to say that two weeks post-surgery vision in the first eye improves daily. The remaining eye surgery will be completed soon. I look forward to normal vision and the independence of driving myself.My experience with Dr. Freidl is that she is polite and professional. She allows enough time during exams to explain the current state of my condition and follow up care. She welcomes questions, and her answers are clear and understandable.She was recommended to me by a friend and I was impressed with all the positive reviews on her. Dr. Freidl did cataract surgery on both my eyes. Im still only 1 week out from second eye surgery and 3 wks out from first eye surgery, so am not yet experiencing the total benefit of the great lens implants. I can, however, already see some difference. Dr. Freidl was very clear about the time it would take to experience of the full benefit of these lenses, so I am happy with my experience so far. I like that she took the time to explain the whole process and answer all of my questions and I had a lot of questions. She also sensed that I was very nervous about surgery on my eyes and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable with every step!!

Dr. Kostick and his staff are awesome. They are organized and prepared for office visits and surgeries. You can count on what they tell you. Dr. Kostick is precise and very good at what he does.

Long waits. Bad customer service. Didn’t even tell me they were dialating my eyes until after. Waited an hour to see someone. 1.5 hrs to see the doctor and she spent maybe 10 minutes with me. DO NOT COME HERE. The receptionists were rude, unprepared and unable to check people out. Also you have to pay a $50 for a retraction. Go to pearl vision. The total exam is $60 and they do contact lenses and their appointments are only 30 min long

I have worn glasses / contacts for 11 years. My eyes were supper light sensitive and I could barley drive at night. Dr. Maida completely changed my life! He preformed my lasik and I can now see the details/ texture of the leafs on top of the trees. My eyes are actually less sensitive to light and I now drive comfortably with confidence at night time! The staff is absolutely amazing. Sara, Terri and Jordan greet me by name every time I come in. Dr. Maida and his staff are phenomenal. If you are thinking of getting lasik dont go cheap!! I had cataract surgery on my second eye. This was a much better experience than I had with my first eye (at a different practice). I felt well taken care of. Everyone at this practice was clear and helpful and made sure I understood what to expect. I wish I had gone here for my first surgery. Dr. Freído and the whole staff are terrific!
