This is an awesome place doing a great service to our community. But if you are requesting additional services to be done on a feral, you have to confirm they input it in the system when you drop the animal off. Overall I’m happy, but the services I requested were not completed on a cat that I had to trap to even bring in, even though I marked them on the intake paperwork and told them I would pay in advance. Just make sure you confirm what you want verbally as well.

Pay the extra money and get quality care and service. This place is ran by people who look like crack heads. Staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. Staff carries on their personal conversations while there is a line of stressed out let owners. I’ve literally received better customer service at the dollar store. The staff forced me to put a muzzle on my 10 lb dog and a choke leash and flinched every time he went near her? If you are that afraid of animals you should not be working with them. It’s basically impossible to get anyone on the phone and they do not call back when you leave a voicemail. Vet services are stressful for the pets and owners, so it is critical to receive quality care especially when dealing with surgeries. I feel so horrible about taking my dog here, I can only imagine how he was treated while I wasn’t around.

Leading up to picking up our dog, I had a pleasant experience. When we came to pick up our 1 year old from being spayed, it was a nightmare. She was terrified and covered in poop. They trimmed her nails incredibly short on all her paws and she has been in pain ever since. I am very disappointed in the treatment my dog received. And they never answer the phones so I haven’t been able to speak with anyone over the phone. I do not recommend taking your pets here.

I will not subject another cat to this kind of abuse. Went to pick up a cat today (9/9) from the catch and release program that we brought in on 9/6, to find the cat in a plate of its own shi* I brought the cat in with the food plate still in the cage because the cage doesnt have a way to get into it from the back and remove the plate. Why tell me why if you are going to spay a feral cat or any cat wouldnt you just pull the plate out of the cage? Is that really asking too much? To just be a little compassionate to an already confused and extremely distraught animal not knowing what is happening to it.

I was overcharged for medicine I was not given. I was also given medication at a different location because they were out of it at the Cassatt location. My cats nose is bleeding and he hasnt been given the medicine because there were no clear instructions on how much a drop is. So he sneezed it out. Now, they refuse to provide the medicine he needs. It is a huge inconvenience for me to return back to this clinic because of clinical hours. They have a huge ego and dont care about my pets healing. They did finally refund me the $25 they overcharged me.

I brought my cat here, to the one on Norwood, for a critical, life or death emergency, 4 years ago. I wasnt doing Google reviews back then but I just got something in the mail from them and my cat is still with me today because of them so I thought Id comment now. As far as Ive been concerned this is the best possible place in the city of Jacksonville for someone to go who needs help with their pet. They did the most amazing work saving my baby boys life and Im forever grateful to them. I just looked on Google and Im shocked to see the most recent reviews, covering the last 6-8 months, being a large amount of one stars and negative reviews. I cant believe this! I read reviews all the time and when theres more than just one or two negative reviews I take that as a sign somethings wrong, so I really dont know whats been going on recently and I hope the facility has not gone downhill in the past couple years because four years ago they were the tops. I have no experience with the Casssat Ave facility, maybe the reviews are rating that facility, Im not sure. I wish there was a way to back date my review to reflect the actual date I used them. Although I did refer FCNMHP to a friend a year ago for his dog and he got superb medical attention, they saved his dog as well, one year ago.

Dr. Kampali has been my saving grace for many of my rescued pets in the past. I was sent to the Cassat ofc Friday and was not happy with diagnosis. I left a message Sunday that Bailey was not getting better. He immediately called in an anti spasm human med for her.. All tests were run at Cassat ofc but when I took her to Dr. Kampali at Norwood, today he knew she was in pain and not right..he knows my pupper🐾🐾🐾💖 she was diagnosed with a severe Gastro infection and already she is now eating and drinking after 4 days of nothing!! I used to do fostering and took all 12+ litters of kittens to be spayed and neutered here along with over 30 feral cats from a colony. I also have my own two adult cats and a dog who I take yearly for their booster shots. We usually see Dr. Claxton and she is awesome, shes incredibly caring and thorough. First Coast No More Homeless Pets is a godsend when youre fostering or are a low income family. Without them, it would have been literally impossible for me to freelance foster animals or even afford my own animals boosters/preventative medications. I will agree the wait both in person and on the phone is absolutely absurd, but well worth the time if youre a low income individual with pets.

We trapped a feral kitten and took her to be sterilized. Our plan was to adopt it after it was fixed. We were notified that the surgery was completed and we could pick the cat up. We went to the pet store and bought a litter box and other supplies. When we arrived to get the kitten, we were told that the cat had escaped and was loose in the building and they had to try and trap her. How incompetent!I took a day off work and drove across town to get this cat only to find out that they couldnt figure out how to keep it in a cage. The worst part is that no one bothered to call me and save me the trip. My daughter bawled her eyes out because she was excited to take home her kitten.I thought I was doing my civic duty by trapping and sterilizing a feral cat. But it was far better off before these people totally traumatized it.

WE LOVE FCNMHP!!! I have been coming here for years with all of my furry family members and their wonderful team has always taken such great care of them!My 4 1/2 year old miniature dachshund, Doodles, has never been scared or anxious when he goes for visits and enjoys getting all kinds of love & attention! My cats have both been taken care of here as well.I also, recently adopted a dog that someone dumped on the side of the road, who was on deaths doorstep and sick with Parvo, & I dont know what I would have done without them. Within no time, my sweet Wylie was healthy and back to being the silly fun-lovin horse-sized puppy he should be!I was able to split the parvo treatment plan into 3 payments over the course of his 3 consecutive day treatments and he did not have to be held within the facility. I brought him in each day at my own choice of time to be treated. We always have nothing short of a fantastic experience anytime we have come in! Thank you FCNMHP Staff!!!

I am so thankful that a place like this exists! First Coast no more homeless pets was exceptional from beginning to end. they offered a very reasonable price to neuter my dog. I called many animal hospitals before being referred to this place. I was shocked and appalled at the price I was quoted by so many different veterinarians to neuter a dog. You try to do the right thing to prevent pet overpopulation and its just unreasonably expensive. If it wasnt for this place I honestly wouldnt have gotten him neutered. I appreciate a place like this offering reasonably priced services so that you can take care of your pet on a budget. More people should know about first Coast no more homeless pets . thank you for everything you do and for truly caring about the animals first!!

The facility is quite nice and brand new. The people are very friendly and helpful. Also, the prices were drastically lower than places like Tinseltown.Unfortunately, I took my greyhound in for a teeth cleaning and now shes dead. She was older, though not rickety. She ran laps around the yard in the morning and jumped into the truck to go to the appointment. She hadnt been having any serious issues, though she had been treated for a kidney infection a month prior. I notified the staff of that treatment.I believe they did not know how to treat greyhounds properly due to their low body-fat. I am not certain, but my supposition is that they incorrectly administered standard anesthesia accompanied by only 60% of the recommended IV fluids. This resulted in a heart attack according to the doctor. In addition to my dog dying, one of the staff seemed completely incompetent. Not stupid, just - not competent. Im a semi-unique customer (I had four dogs and on my first visit and she brought other staff out to see the spectacle, then even serviced us as our vet tech). On my second visit (with the same four dogs), she didnt remember us at all and even asked us again what kind of dogs I had. With that in mind, I also question their professional staff hiring practices.I doubt many people will have this experience, but it is my story and FCNMHP broke my heart.

I had an issue with a surgical vet tech who is misrepresenting this clinic with unprofessional slander posts about me on the internet and completely unprofessional communication when I tried to inquire about a medical record of an animal she fostered and adopted out to me who was already sick when given to me. I was advised to hold off on taking him in when the kitten had diarrhea under the notion he could possibly be adjusting to a new environment. I found out some news in which the physician advised for me to rehome the kitten but I wanted the make sure the kitten was treated before anything and was sent a falsified document instead. I attempted to contact her supervisor on the situation and Katrina never got back to me so I am writing this review to show everyone what a heartless place this is. A kitten passed due to this unfortunate situation and instead of taking accountability about the fact that I was not informed of how old this kitten was and how up to date the kitten was she sent me false documents. She also smeared me all over social media and Ive received nothing but hate messages from people who are now being listed on this issue as well for participating in this nonsense. She also shared private medical information about the kitten online which is also illegal on top of slander, mind you. Please look up the laws. Please look up the statutes. I was advised by your clinic rep to bring the kitten in at 11 AM last Sunday and drop him off with Skylarr and shes all over the internet lying about what the rep said stating I abandoned him there when the rep had full understanding of what was happening. She has a rescue under her name under the guise of this clinic and action needs to be taken but as not. Did you know that if youre a trap and release program first coast no more homeless pets will spay or neuter vaccinate etc A number of cats for that person a month. I imagine as an employee she could bring in an infinite number of cats without charge. At $40 an adoption do you know the potential income she was bringing in a month at the expense of these kittens? Its not about the animals to her, its another paycheck.

Don’t go here! 😭 First off I should have listened to my many friends and the online reviews who told me not to go here because they had horror stories about this place but our adoption shelter recommended it so we went against our better judgement.... Our dog got “fixed” here a year ago... today she just had to have ANOTHER $500 surgery to complete the job they should of done from the beginning. They only removed one, NOT BOTH of her ovaries, leaving her susceptible to deadly infection and possible cancer. It may seem cheap in the beginning but not worth the death of your fur babies. Thankfully we have an awesome new vet that saved her life, no thanks to this place.

I dropped my dog off first thing this morning for a neuter... He is a stray dog that I found the night before Thanksgiving. The staff was excellent and handled each person very professionally. Within the first 30 minutes of being open they had to deal with an array of clients from an angry older man, people that were hearing impaired, a crying gentleman that was dealing with his dog that was poisoned as well as a bunch of other clients... The front end staff was efficient, professional and very understanding. The girl that took my stray back took the time to sit down and go over his history with me. She was very attentive and listened to me. I did not feel rushed and she made me feel at ease. The process took all of maybe 45 minutes so they could collect my information and give me all the details needed. We need to remember that this facility is here to help people care for their animals. From what I witnessed today, the front end staff handled every person with respect as well as the animals.

The shelter we adopted our dog from took them here since they are a less expensive place to get a dog spayed. Come to find out they only removed 1 ovary from our dog and she had to have exploratory surgery within a year to have the second ovary removed to prevent infections and possible cancer. It may be the cheap option up front but it ended up costing an extra $600 in the long run from their lack of diligence the first time. Have had multiple friends have issues at the same place.

Dr. Lemay is the best! She operated on our big yellow lab Luke twice and did a fantastic job with him both times. Im glad that we were lucky enough to have her operate on our beloved Luke. I think the office staff does a nice job and probably the best that they can considering the high volume of pets that arrive at FCNMHP.I believe we had a guy named Bobby and another guy (not sure of his name) that assisted with Lukes surgery since hes so big. I know Bobby was of great assistance to us when it came to the care of our dog. The only issue there is the wait, but.... considering its a much cheaper price and the quality of care it can be overlooked.Thank you Dr. Lemay for saving our dogs quality of life. Hes thinner and doesnt whine anymore when he gets up or down from the pain from all of his fatty tumors on his body. I think we had about 10 removed & some were really large that was really effecting his quality of life, but not now! I feel like even at 11 years old our lab is acting like he did when he was younger and we are so happy for it and blessed. Please give us a call about his histology results from his nipple that was removed.Thank you Norwood location for helping extend the life of our Sweet Luke!Kindly,Anissa and Bill Jones

This place is a sham, the staff are oblivious to the needs of the animals.I had an emergency with my 10 yr old beautiful fur baby, and whoever answered my message was very kind and I was told I did not need to make an appointment for this emergency. That’s where the kindness ended...My pet was struggling to breathe due to heart failure. I sat for 3 hours waiting to be seen, only to be told that there were still 4 in front of us in addition to all the prior appointments. This would have left us at a 6 hour wait. I decided to leave, since the staff did not consider this life and death an emergency.I went to cornerstone on Lem Turner, the doctor and staff took us right in, they could see my boy was in dire need. After a quick evaluation I was told that he could have passed away at any minute. Thankfully for the quick work and compassion I was given the proper heart medication to help our baby....I wasted precious hours on this monstrous place. It’s filthy, no A/c and the staff is horrible. Stay away...

I’m giving them 4 stars because of the mix up with paperwork upon my arrival to get my dog after his surgery. Which gave me a brief scare because they had given me the debrief for after care but stapled the pink copy to another pets paperwork. Was there for an hour until it was sorted. Nobody has offered an apology or explanation. The man seated next to me had been waiting even longer. He gets up to complain about how unprofessional it is and he gets told that they are understaffed. He asks why theyre taking appointments without the staff available to fulfill them. The receptionist rushes off to speak to the people in the back. Within 5 minutes both that man and myself are given exam rooms. The exam table is dirty. I only waited a few minutes to see the vet, who then tried to upsell me on additional treatments and services. The actual visit took approx 4 minutes. Then when I went to pay the young lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted to buy the rabies tag. I asked her if the city requires it, and she said yeah, but since you have a cat its not as strict as with a dog. I explained that declining the tag makes me subject to a fine so Id like to buy it. Why would you take try to talk owners into doing something in violation of city ordinance? Are you going to pay my fine if I get caught being noncompliant? This was not a positive experience.

Three weeks ago, I lost my baby Z___ to such horrific experience at First Coast No More Homeless Pets on Norwood Avenue. Upon seeking urgent help and treatment for my dog, I decided to take her to First Coast No More Homeless Pets because it was closer to my location at the time. However, it was the WORST decision I could have made regarding my dog and I have much regret. Upon arriving at this animal clinic and waiting to be seen, my dog and I sat in my vehicle. A clinic technician eventually came out to see us at my vehicle and suggested beginning with a Parvo test. Shortly after, it was determined that my baby Z___ had the Parvo virus, which required some injections to get the healing process started. I was asked to meet two technicians in a separate location of the clinic to administer the first round of shots to my dog. Upon being informed to return the next day with my dog for the second round of shots and leaving the animal clinic, it occurred to me, while heading home, that take my dog Z_____ was never seen by the veterinarian. A doctor never came out to meet, speak with me nor take any vital signs or anything, which is a standard procedure for any office visit. We were only met by the clinic technicians the entire time while at the clinic who also never took my dog’s vital signs, no weight; no temperature for fever nor did they hold her or look her over to determine the appropriate amount of medication to administer her for the virus. In less than 12 hours after my dog was treated at this animal clinic, my Z____ became very helpless and died. This truly took me by complete surprise. From that moment, the very next morning, I immediately contacted the clinic upon opening and attempted to speak with the veterinarian in charge, but to no avail. I have yet to speak with the actual veterinarian or nurse up to this very day or receive a call. I have spoken with several other employees to express my concern and still have not received answers to all of my questions to get the closure that I need. Although the mission of For Coast No More Homeless Pets is “to make veterinary care affordable and accessible to all as we save lives by keeping dogs and cats in homes and out of shelters, provide low-cost spay/neuter services with emphasis on feral/community cats, and deliver a broad range of related programs and services,” it has not proven to be such. This animal clinic may offer affordable care, but lacks the accessible veterinary care as it speaks about. Please understand that you “get what you pay for.” First Coast No More Homeless Pets states that it has veterinarians who care, but my baby Z___ and I were not afforded this kind of experience. As a dog lover, I find it extremely difficult that this animal clinic has a “No-kill mission” that they really do not adhere to. The veterinarian and/or nurse were very negligent to my dog during our visit, leaving decisions up to the technicians who spoke with me about my dog, but never even held her in their hands. They only treated her from a distance until it was time to administer the shots that she received. It continues to plague my mind that the technicians could administer shots to my dog without knowing the proper dosage of medication to give her because they never took vital signs. It was important to me to write this review so that no other animal owner experiences what I have. I entrusted First Coast No More Homeless Pets with my baby Z____, only to have her die due to their negligence. There is still NO closure for me.

I had captured 2 stray cats for the fear of their safety where they were living. They were young and I wanted to give them a home which meant I needed to get them neutered. They have just come to age to be neutered but still need work on their behavior. They are friendly but need to be treated with caution and do not like to be picked up. So I called around at animal shelters and vets and they all recommended this place. Usually I look at the reviews first but Im desperate to get them fixed.I called today and waited for about 15 min for anyone to answer the phone. I wasnt too upset about that because I know how busy some of these places can get. My rating was for the treatment I had received. When someone finally answered the phone, I told them my situation and she asked me which county I lived in. I JUST moved to Florida with my parents temporarily so I am unfamiliar with the areas. I hesitated for a second due to a stuttering issue and she continued to ask me the question, not even giving me a chance to answer. I tried to get the information for her by asking my mother who was right in front of me so it would have only taken a second but she got extremely impatient with me and raised her voice to where I had to hold the phone away from my ear. After I told her that I did not appreciate the tone she was using with me, she continued to talk to me in a very rude and hateful tone.Never have I EVER had such hostile customer service. If this is the way you treat your customers, dont expect me to come in. I cant imagine how you must treat the animals. Im afraid to even bring my stray cats in because they need to be handled with caution and if they are mistreated in any way, all of my progress I have made with them will have been for nothing.

I took my cat to be spayed and when I got her back I noticed (almost) all of her claws, front and back, were shredded and ripped. I have no idea what happened while she was there but now she hisses and tries to bite if you come near her. She was the sweetest, most playful cat before we took her and then she came back traumatized and aggressive. I mean what the heck are they doing back there??!?!As most people have stated, the idea of having a low cost service for your animal seems to be a wonderful idea, but it appears something is going on behind closed doors. I am terrified because I have an appointment to take my much loved and favorite (EVER in the world) dog to be spayed there. She already has separation anxiety and is very clingy to me. I dont want to put her in a position to be abused/mistreated because I dont know how Ill cope with that. The only reason I didnt give 1 star was because the staff was very friendly and informative. They also called earlier than the original time to let me know my cat was okay and could be picked up.Update:I took my dog to be spayed, and although she had a hard time with the surgery, it was unrelated to FCNMHP. This time the experience was much more pleasant. And the times I called with concerns they walked me through what to expect and eased my worry. I continue to go and get (low cost) flea treatment for both pets. As for my cat, she recovered after about a week or two and is back to her fun, playful self. Albeit with a heftier physique (:

Terrible service. You will set a appointment with them, double check to make sure they are open on sunday at that time and show up and have the place closed, best you can hope for is showing up on time and waiting an hour before they call you back. The tech and vet I dealt with didnt leave me overly impressed. We are stuck with them unfortunately since we started our heartworm treatments. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you can afford to.

Three weeks ago we went in as a walk-in, it took almost 3 hours to be seen.Followed up by today we went in for our SCHEDULED appointment. We didn’t get seen until almost 45minutes after our scheduled time. Even walk-ins were seen before us. Not sure why we even bothered to schedule an appointment. They then tried to shovel spay/neutering is best down our throats. Our puppy is not spayed as she is not yet done growing and she is under contract that we have to wait until she is two. I’m all for altering your pets as our three other older dogs are all altered. But as I had told the vet we plan to spay her, once legally able to. The vet was very condescending and snarky regarding it. And then on top of that they charge an “intact pet fee” as if them treating an intact pet costs more. Or charging an extra $12 will make anyone suddenly alter their pet.We only use this clinic when we can’t get in to see our regular vet due to holidays or weekends. We will no longer be using this place as they continually drop the ball. These are not the only reasons but they are what pushed us over the edge in regards to this clinic.

The worst part about this place is making an appointment. It took me weeks of persistently calling and calling and calling, smashing every extension imaginable, to finally reach someone and set up an appointment for a spay. However, this is Jacksonville. Its a major US city with an unholy number of people living here, many with pets, and probably just as many without the funds to take care of them sometimes. I am grateful that this company exists because I think its one of the only ones in Jacksonville offering low cost, high quality pet care. (Another reason for the difficulty in making an appointment)The spay was done without any complications and my rescued kitten was given medicine as well. Finally, no more sleepless nights for me, uncomfortable heat cycles for her, and all because of this place.People complaining about wait times should seriously get some perspective. There is no place like this one in Jax. You are going to wait. You are going to struggle to reach them on the phone. You probably shouldnt bring your pet here if theres a medical emergency requiring immediate care. They are always slammed and will continue to be until other places like them open or they drastically expand their staff and resources. But understand that theyre providing a necessary service and be patient with them. I think theyre seriously doing the best they can with what they have right now.

This is seriously the most disgusting place Ive ever been. I came here because my husband is a cheapskate and wanted to save money, but its NOT worth it. Even if you have an appointment, youll be there for at the very least an hour and a half every time. The waiting area is filthy, and every time Ive been there someone has a stunk up the whole room with their cat carrier smelling like cat urine. If youre bringing a dog or puppy thats not vaccinated, keep them off the floor because theres got to be all sorts of contagious stuff lingering around the whole place. I feel like I need a shower every time I leave there. My puppy had a rare illness and they misdiagnosed him and he got a lot worse within a week and almost died. Also took him to be neutered here because it was cheaper than most places and once again my husband insisted everything would be fine. They sent my dog home with no e-collar so he licked open his incision 3 days later and I had to bring him back and wait 3 hours for them to even give him an exam. So if you really must go here make sure they give you an e-collar before you leave after picking your dog up from surgery. I forgot to add, they returned my dog to me covered in feces, which was great since I couldnt bathe him for a whole week!So with all that said, unless youre seriously strapped for cash and cant afford to go to a different place, avoid this place at all costs. Its not worth it.

Today was the first time I brought my pet here (Norwood location) and I will not come back. The girls at the front are very rude. Another client was in front of me complaining about how she was waiting over two hours for her three pets to be seen, and she had an appointment. I chimed in stating they should call their appointments and let them know they would be late. The girl she was talking to behind the desk (was not wearing a name tag but a plain t-shirt with cats on it) stated they arent going to call all their appointments they have (it was said with an attitude). For one, it was a suggestion to better the clients since you cant give them an estimate of how long their wait time will be and you dont tell them when they came in that they are behind. Communication is key. I know I would have appreciated a call letting me know they were late so I could have came later or rescheduled.I understand they see emergencies and that is why they were behind. But they are not considerate of all the other clients they have coming in that have appointments. This is why suggested calling them to let them know. The second time she was rude was when I asked for something to collect urine, she asked why I needed it, I told her my pet is there for a possible UTI so youll need a urine sample and my dog has to pee. She got up from the desk and slammed the door behind her. She stayed behind the door for a couple minutes since I am sure she didnt want to deal with me or the other client since someone else came up with the urine tray.I came back in when it got to the hour and a half wait and cancelled my appointment. Since they did not know how much longer it was going to be, I did not want to wait another hour and a half.If you cant handle the job as a customer service representative, maybe you are in the wrong field. The staff should be more caring and compassionate towards clients. Especially since it is a low-cost clinic and people come here to care for their pets since it is more affordable. If you dont mind the staff being rude and long wait times with an unknown time frame, this is the place for you. Otherwise, if you can afford a little extra, go somewhere else!

Thank you guys for making this place low cost it does help but a lot of people are right. It really isn’t worth sitting in a freezing room all day to be seen for 5 minutes and to be told u have to come back. I specifically had an appointment at 7:45 yesterday and they didn’t see my dog at all yesterday. Making us have to drive an hour and 30 mintutes back. With making it worse they didn’t even call us to tell us and made us sit in Jacksonville all day. Last time we were there we were a walk in and they told us they had to honor appointments. I don’t feel very honored and my dog it sitting there with a broken leg still. After they already made him stay like that a week.

My pets are always well taken care of here. The staff here do a good thing for a lot of animals in need of care. The waiting room is always busy, but its refreshing to see that every animal that comes through their doors gets the same compassionate care as the next. I wouldnt take my dogs anywhere else. Thank you for all that you do for the community!

I used to think very highly of FCNMHP until I learned prices are determined by calling other low cost vet clinics then undercutting them a very small amount. God forbid they should just set low prices despite hat other clinics charge. What a concept. This is a not-for-profit vet clinic who sets its prices at only slightly less than clinics designated as for profit. The name alone implies a deep concern for the welfare of animals that simply isnt there anymore. If you need to save money by using an online pet pharmacy, the vet wont okay your prescription. They care about making a profit now above the welfare of animals. What a disappointment this clinic has become.

I took my elderly miniature poodle to have dental work at the beginning of June. When I picked her up they ‘regretted to inform me that they burned her with the warming blanket’. They acted like it was not a big deal. She has a burn on her side about half the size of her body. No hair grows there and it is permanently scarred. It is the beginning of August and my once beautiful, loving, smart dog is a wreck. She will no longer let us hold her, she potties in the house (she NEVER did before-not once!) she cries all day and runs back and forth until she wears herself out and falls asleep. She will sleep for 2 hours at a time and start all over again. Whining, running back and forth, and wincing if someone goes near her. My poor dog, they destroyed her life and when we told them about it, they did NOTHING!

I used to use this place all the time but now it seems like they just dont have their stuff together. I know its low cost and I appreciate that but I took 2 dogs there today and I have used them several times before but after today I will never go back... They have the rudest people working behind the counter and they are very slow on top of being ungodly mean to people. I think they take advantage of the fact that some people have no choice but to rely on their services. I really hope someone else will step up and help low cost veterinary care because this place is making me want to stop rescuing animals.

Edit: this was at their casset location. I still will leave this here for consideration. I was recommended here as a low cost emergency vet. I walked in and it was busy which I understand. I came in around 230 and wasnt seen till about 630 leaving around 750. My dog had been very sick with symptoms I know could be very contagious to other dogs. Yet we waited and waited. We asked at one point how much longer it would be, as we were some of the last people in loby, and one of the vet techs admitted they missed him on the list. Long day things happen I get it or tried to. None of the staff seemed apologetic to this fact. I finally go back and the doctor just didnt seem too concerned and not very attentive. No test were done besides his temperature taken and chest listened to. (My chief complaint was signs of a respiratory infection).Ended up with antibiotics and told simply if he gets worse come back. That night his health continued to rapidly decline leading me to take him to another emergency vet because I certainly couldnt trust them. That vet actually did testing and he had signs phenomena along with kennel cough with hospitalization needed. They may be low cost and thats appeasing but not worth it if you ask me.

Was advised by staff to walk in and not make an appointment. My dog was very lethargic. Was told she had to stay in the car because she had diarrhea a few days ago. No problem, we have ac/water for dog. We wait five hours and are continuously put off. I ask for an ETA and am told that we are not priority. Leave and go to BluePearl- turns out my dog had a low red blood cell count and was severely dehydrated. She had to be hospitalized for 24 hours s. If FCNMHP couldn’t see us then they should have been up front. We used to bring our dogs there for vaccines, always as walk ins and never waited more than 2 hours. I think it’s also important to mention we got there more than an hour before they opened, and at that time were second in line for walk ins. They kept putting us to the bottom of the pile for other walk ins that were there for simple vaccinations and other services. Utterly ridiculous.

A 24 vet told me about First Coast and I took him in worrying about him loosing his eye. The lady doctor that seen my baby was able to save my babys eyes. Two days later his stitches came loose and I took him back to the clinic to get rechecked before we headed home and the doctor that seen him was also awesome. The cost for the visit wasnt expensive at all. Its only been a few days since he was in the clinic but everyday my baby is being back to himself... I went to FCNMHP because their prices are always low and alot more affordable. However I was not happy with my recent visit. I had an appt and was not even seen till an hour later. Then once I was seen the doctor was in the room with me for less than 5 minutes. I wanted bloodwork for my dog so I could find out if a dental would be safe for her. All she said was that the bloodwork they did so far was great. I had to ask her how her exam was, how her teeth looked, what the cost of the dental would be, etc. For the money and time I spent I expected more than just a sentence or two from her. I had to ask all the questions to find out the outcome of the visit. Her bloodwork wasnt complete yet and I asked if she could email me the results. She said she would try but she cant promise anything. She did say she would call with the results, which she never did. I feel like the discount isnt worth the lack of service. I would be happier sending $180+ elsewhere if I know they actually took the time to examine my dog and give me more information. I spent $180 and I still dont know the full results of her bloodwork. I could have had the results elsewhere, in a quicker amount of time, and emailed to me for a few extra bucks. I wont waste my time at FCNMHP anymore and only rate it a 2 due to their prices. If you want to wait forever for awful services but for a cheap price, go ahead. Ill find somewhere else.

This AMAZING service has spayed/neutered 21 feral cats I have brought them in the last 6 weeks with their TNR spay/neuter program! Anyone who would complain about them needs their head examined. They are likely taking advantage of services they can afford to pay for elsewhere but are just too cheap to do so. I don’t care what the clinic “looks” or “smells” like, I’ve worked in clinics, at one moment or another they will not be pleasant and that is a FACT. All I care about are the animals these wonderful people are saving on a daily basis! Shame on ANYONE who would give these folks or this clinic a bad review, you’re lying/cheap and you know it. Meanwhile, while waiting and begging the staff to PLEASE let them back to the vet the staff started calling other patients back that were walk ins! Unbelievable! I understand that the vet likely may not have been able to save the pet but these people shouldnt have been made to wait in the waiting room while the staff scrambled around like they didnt know what to do! She told me (again rudely) “ I can ask for someone to decide if he needs medical attention but if he’s not serious you can go there’s nothing we can do.” I was flabbergasted! I have never been treated so poorly before and to deny services to a customer blew my mind. I understand if I would have come in 30-15 minutes before close, but there were only 2 other pets in their besides myself. I’ll take my service elsewhere and I recommend others to do the same. We took our 2 cats to the Norwood location to be spayed and neutered, and it wasnt worth it even for the spay/neuter program and the low cost. The place smelled horrible and was filthy. I was there with my baby and toddler, and it was a nightmare weighting for 2 hours in that disgusting waiting room. When we picked them.up that evening they were both SOAKED in their own urine from sitting in their cage day. I mean, totally drenched in it. So I guess its no wonder that our male kitten ended up with an infection that I had to take him back there for today. I had an appointment, but still waited for 2 hours(AGAIN). You get what you pay for, I guess. At least my animals are spayed/neutered, and the little guy got some antibiotics that will hopefully work. The people were very nice, but I wont go back.To sum up, its cheap, dirty, smelly, takes for freaking ever to be seen, and your pet might get sick(er) there. So go at your own risk (or your pets).
