I visited Dr James E.Gaff Dentistry on 1/16/2018 for regular cleaning of my teeth. It’s like visiting family all team members were courteous and excellent in their work. While viewing X-ray of my teeth and gum condition Dr. Nixon found one of my tooth have infection in it’s root and.,suggested for root canal treatment and crown on it to save it. Since I was feeling sensation while touching my facial skin which I never informed prior to their finding , I immediately agreed for restoration plan . After root canal work and teeth cleaning within three days sensation on effected tooth gone and I was feeling awesome.As per plan crown was fixed today on 1/31/2018 and it look fantastic and I am happy my front side teeth has been saved due to excellent treatment and restoration work.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gaff for over 10 years. From the moment you are greeted at the desk from Gayle you know you are in a caring environment. From routine cleanings to intensive dental work, Dr. Gaff and his staff are exceptional. They also have a very pleasant updated office that is very calming. My husband and son are also patients and we all highly recommend!

Bad breath and bad manners! I went here a year and a half ago for a cleaning. When I had my initial visit the staff was very nice and the office was clean and I thought this was a great place but then Mr.Gaff walked in. He wasnt the nicest person and when he was inspecting my teeth I could smell the onions he ate for lunch every time he breathed. I was told that my back molar had a crack in it. Mr. Gaff put dye on the tooth to try and show me but I still couldnt see this crack on a tooth I never had problems with.. still trusting him I allowed him to place a crown on the tooth.. a couple weeks later my tooth was still hurting so I went to see him again and was told I had to pay to have a root canal and they would place a new crown on the tooth. I went back for him to perform a root canal on my back left bottom molar and he replaced a filling on the back right bottom molar in the same day. I had to come back the next day to have this completed and yes I could still smell his breath during that visit. There was something wrong with the machine that makes his crowns so he sent me home that night with a hole in my tooth and asked me to come back the next day... when I returned in the morning the next day he put my crown on and he was very rude. I felt like I was getting in trouble because his had was too big to fit in my mouth and I couldnt open my mouth to his liking.. he was constantly frustrated and spent forever trying to fix my bite even grinded down my top tooth to try and make it work.. I ended up having to go back two times because my bite was still off and this was causing pain in my jaw. Additionally the sides of my mouth were extremely sore and raw and chapped from stretching my mouth open so wide to appease him. On my last visit to this office I actually cried there and after I left because I was so tired of having pain in my jaw and stretching my mouth open and mr.Gaff got on to me again because I wasnt trying hard enough to open my mouth for him.. the crown that I spent $1700 total on with the root canal included ended up breaking about 10 months later and I decided to just have the tooth pulled due to the experience I had. The tooth shattered when I had it pulled because it had a root canal.. DO NOT GO HERE! Worst most unprofessional experience ever..

Awesome visit. Ive been a member since 07. Would not change dentist for nothing. Michelle and Gale are like family!!!! Definitely recommended. If I Could, I would give Dr. Gaff and staff 10 stars!!!!

I had a general dislike about going to the dentist. I was always anxious and afraid about going and so I avoided it. Consequently, I had to have 4 root canals, I think I called 1-800- dentist out of sheer pain and desperation. I was referred to Dr. Gaff. I gave Gail a brief explanation of my anxiety issues and she assured me that I would be comfortable here. Well, 7 hours,4 root canals, 4 crowns and 2 filings later I was on my way home and with very minor pain considering the procedure. That was 6 years ago and have been going ever since. I even show up to my cleanings every 6 months. I highly recommend Dr Gaff and his staff for their professional, prompt and empathetic ways.

This is the best experience Ive ever had with a dentist in jacksonville. Dr Gaff gets to the issues and treats them quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend their office.

My first visit to a new dentist was a treat. Friendly and welcoming staff,, a practice with up to date modern equipment. and a dentist that was a pleasure to deal with. Who knew? .

Went 2/28/17 worst customer service experience. I am in the medical profession myself and i felt disgraced. I dont know if Dr. Gaff was just having a bad day, but from the moment he walked in he was rude very blunt(which isnt necessarily bad just how you say things). When he began the examination he proceeded to prick and pry at a tooth that was already sensitive and when i flinched he got upset and began to talk at me and not to me. Who does that..... I chose to not have my services completed after that. This dentist maybe good maybe the best out there, but he definitely lacks in the customer service area.. However, the ladies upfront and the dental assistant were very friendly and welcoming.

Ive never had a bad visit to Dr. Gaffs office. Michelle is Jacksonvilles #1 hygienist and Dr. Gaff is Jacksonvilles #1 dentist. Not only are they great in Jax but they also go on mission trips to help people that dont have access to proper dental care. Thank you Dr. Gaff, Sharen, Michelle and Gail!
