Dr Leinwohl has helped me and my wife with our many issues with our eyes especially with contacts. Ive had a sudden onset of a torn retina, which I didnt know what was happening at the time. She worked me in over the weekend to get immediately evaluated and once confirmed to a retinal specialist the next day. Weve unfortunately passed on our bad eye vision genes to our 4 kids and she has been treating them now for years. Having had to wear glasses for the last 50 years and seeing so many doctors, shes been the best. We drive from the beach just to see her.

The entire staff was very friendly and professional. The optometrist it was very thorough and provided details of her findings throughout the exam process. I never felt like anything was being rushed but I was in and out including selecting frames in 90 minutes.

My husband and I started going to VAL-Uvision at the recommendation of my nephew. A few years in a row we had great experience with everyone. Until this year. When I called to make an appointment for myself and my husband the first available was a few weeks out. I also explained to the gal who answered the phone my husband just that day broke his glasses. This had no affect on pushing up his appointment. After hanging up and thinking about it, my husband and looked for another eye place. We found one who is able to take us the next day. When I called to cancel our appointments the folks there didnt try to save the appointment or anything. It literally was okay thanks, bye I really felt afterward that VAL-Uvision didnt really care about if I was a customer or not.I gave 3 stars because past years were good. Now, not so much.

Me and my family love this location! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Let me take my time to pick my glasses and answered all one million of my questions with a smile. The Doc was thorough and timely. I had to get dilated and that’s never fun but it was by far my best experience with it. We won’t be going anywhere else!

My initial visit and exam went well. The staff seemed friendly enough. I was very clear during my exam that I was interested in reading glasses. I was having trouble reading the back of soup cans and with reading small print in general. I waited almost 2 months before the glasses arrived. This seemed to be a ridiculously long time. I was expecting 1-2 weeks at most. Once they arrived it was the wrong prescription. I was very frustrated. They offered to do another eye exam and sent the glasses back with a different prescription. I waited an additional two months before the glasses came in. I went to pick them up and I can still see better without the glasses then I can with the glasses. This is extremely frustrating. I paid several hundred dollars for glasses and had to wait nearly 4 months and still do not have glasses that work. I’ve worn glasses for over 20 years and I have never once had this experience any where else. A waste of money and time and I still don’t have glasses. Now I will need to go somewhere else. Two of my children also had exams and glasses at the same time and I am worried perhaps their prescriptions are off as well. Terrible experience

Love this location! Been coming here myself and bringing all 3 of my kids here for the past 5 years. I wont go any where else. Glasses always come in fast, and they always have my contacts even though I have a big strength.

My entire family are clients. The people are kind, the doctors are personable and professional. They accept many insurance plans and dont overprice. They have a large selection of frames, and treated my 7 year old like she was a princess in fitting her for her first pair.

This is the most efficient optometrist office Ive ever been to. In and out. Boom! I happened to catch an Optomap sale for $20 instead of $40 - bonus! The doctor was caring and concerned. They were clear about payment and cost. They really impressed me. I initially choose this location because of its proximity to my home, but I will stay with them because of the great service. Please note that they shut down for half an hour each day for lunch. Also, my one negative is that they do not have access to files from the Regency location, so I had to redo all initial paperwork.

Great service! We love the staff and doctors at this location! My husband, daughter and I all had our exams here. We were seen within 10 minutes of our appointment and our glasses came in much quicker than their estimates. I have 5 kids and I cant wait around, they always get us in and out. The staff is professional and were so great with my daughter. I highly recommend them!

I have been coming to this location for the last 11 years, and have never had a bad experience here. They are always fun to deal with, very easy going, and keep my eyes in tip top shape. I even come back home here specifically, while on travel, because of the crew. Not to mention the ladies here are absolutely beautiful inside and out, so it makes spending money on health care less painful. Definitely a 5 star location, I couldnt recommend them enough.

The doctor was awesome with my 8 year old and took the time to make sure we didnt have any questions. The office staff is efficient and helpful but not overly friendly. We will definitely continue to use them as our eye care provider.

Valuvision - Mandarin has been my optometrist for the last few years. I fully trust them to provide the upmost care and newest technology with their eye exams. I am rating a 3 because they no longer offer late appointments. It seems like they used to in the past and walk ins were welcome at one point not sure if this an option anymore to an alternative of not having to do an appointment. Their hours have changed and are not work friendly. I used to be able to schedule appointments after 6pm which was very convenient for me since I work past 5pm and it is hard for me to get out of work. However, the doctor here is wonderful and provided me a lot of options for the eye problems I was having.

I have been going to Valuvision for more than 5 years now. I am very happy with the treatment I have received there. The doctor is very thorough and takes her time with you. You can ask her anything and you know she will take her time explaining to you. The staff is very good and helpful as well. I cant imagine going anywhere else and getting better care for my vision.

Helpful and considerate staff, great selection of glasses, and we never have to wait longer than a few minutes for our appointments.

My son (14 year old shy kid) and I went to purchase him a pair of prescription sunglasses. We have been going there for quite some time so we chose to go back since it’s close and we have a history with this place. We also love the dr we used last and most of the staff members are very kind. Today, they were working on inventory so there weren’t many choices. My son chose some sunglasses and after they quoted the price at $242, I decided to buy the glasses. This price included a 20% discount they have advertised. I paid for these glasses and while I waited for my statement of charges, the (I’m guessing the manager) said they undercharged me and I would have to pay an additional $73. I explained that I wouldn’t have purchased the glasses at that price had I known when I paid for them. The lady had the worst attitude and said “well, I’m not going to give you $73 so if you want to cancel the order, I can refund your card”. I asked her if she had kids and if she would cancel the order after paying the quoted price with her child there and she did not answer me. She never looked me in the face, she just charged me another fee for $73. She said I would have an itemized receipt so I could see what I spent my money on. She never explained what the added amount was for and the receipt makes no sense to me. We both felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. It was obvious the lady was too busy to explain to me why she had to charge me $73 more than I was quoted. Do not go to this place. There are much cheaper places who care about customer service. Ultimately, I paid $315 for a pair of 20% off sunglasses! I don’t see the value in that and I don’t understand how someone can treat a customer the way I was treated. My son deserved a better experience and I deserved the price I was quoted.

Valuvision does retinal eye-mapping (I think thats what its called), a great option for people like me who dont do well with pupil dilation for contact lens eye exams. Thank you, Valuvision! Its not a problem for me to schedule my exams any more because I dont need to find a driver first!

Lately, I had felt my eyes were being strained more than usual and I was overdue for an eye exam, so after getting on my wifes insurance I got a Saturday appointment no problem and theyre not too far away from where we live in a quaint little office area in Mandarin.The young lady at the front desk seemed a little green, which was understandable, but as a new patient I was processed just fine with my insurance. Wait wasnt too long at all and the staff was very friendly and professional.I picked out a pair of new glasses and got hooked up with crizal, lightweight lenses and transitions. Their card reader was down at the moment but hey things happen and I understand, but my payment and order was taken care of anyway. Cant wait for my new glasses to come in.Overall, Id recommend them. Being able to see them on a Saturday was great and much appreciated.

My husband has pretty bad vision and has been wearing glasses for nearly 40 years, so is very particular about the eye doctors he sees. I was looking for a new eye place that would be up to his standards, that had Saturday hours and was covered by our new vision insurance, but was honestly a little concerned when I called for an appointment and found out this business was called Valuvision. He thought I was taking him to the Dollar Store of optometrists, but will try most places once. He LOVED them (and I did too). They were timely in seeing us, had up to date and modern equipment, the exam was thorough and we loved that they do photographic retinal mapping that will allow them to follow any changes for years, and they were very helpful in choosing glasses and contacts. We are very glad we found Valuvision and will be happy customers for years to come--regardless of insurance coverage!

Please be aware of the situation I ran into. I went to VAL-Uvision because of my insurance. Everything seemed to go well, I was seen pretty quickly and the optometrist seemed competent but then things started to go wrong when I got my glasses. At first I thought that I just needed to get used to the new bifocals but then I noticed that I had to hold books further than I was used to. I had the reader part of the bifocals adjusted but I still was having problems with distance vision and was experiencing eye strain. I went into my files to get an old prescription when I noticed that the new prescription was VERY different. I called to have the distance adjusted but was told that they would only adjust my glasses once and that there would be a charge for a new refraction and new lenses, another $560!Since my old prescription was still valid I found a place that would make new lenses from my old prescription for a fraction of the cost and guarantee that the lenses would be right no matter how many times an adjustment might be required.Bottom line is that VAL-Uvision flat out got my prescription wrong and would not correct it. I might understand that I needed new lenses but the fault was NOT mine and I dont think I should have to pay for their mistake.. To put salt in the wound, the prices as VAL-Uvision are terrible. Theyre simply not competitive and dont seem to care.Shop around for the best deal and guarantee.

I had been experiencing blurry vision and called them 45 minutes before they closed on a Saturday. They said to come right over, got me right in, and checked my eyes. The lady did a complete eye exam even using drops to check if I tore my cornea. I never felt rushed, which I was expecting since it was so close to closing for the day. They prescribed me antibiotic drops for the infection, scheduled a follow up appointment, and explained my insurance information. The two times I have been there, (one for an eye exam for new contacts) everyone has been very pleasant and friendly.

The first time I went it was fine. The next time I went to pick up my glasses and they messed up my order. I ordered a pair of glasses with transition and anti glare lenses and I didnt even get that. It now has been almost a month and Im still waiting for my new lenses. Im most likely not going back to Val-U vision ever again.

The worst customer service ever! I called first to verify that they would accept my insurance for glasses needed by 3 family members. I explained that we had just had eye exams done earlier this week somewhere else. The woman on the phone specifically checked with someone else in the office while I was on the phone and told me that my glasses would be covered.Today I made a half an hour drive to get there only to show up and discover that the office was closed for lunch. Waited around for half an hour and when they re-opened talked to a woman at the front desk who told me that they would not take my insurance unless the eye exams had been done there. I tried explaining that I had been told the opposite on the phone, but no luck.I understand that if this really is not possible for them to take the insurance there was nothing she could do, but she was so incredibly rude about it! I had called first, drove half and hour, waited around for another half hour for them to re open, only to be told whoever I spoke with on the phone didnt know what she was doing. No Im sorry for the mis-information or Im sorry for your trouble. No let me just double check to see if there is anything we can do. Everything she said was with a smirk on her face and wouldnt give me any more of an answer than no we cant and when I asked why they would have told me otherwise on the phone she just said I dont know who you talked to again with an attitude.I would never ever go there again. No one should be treated that way!

Avoid location at all costs.Front desk under-trained resulting in misguiding their customers of what appointments they need for certain prescriptions.Very limited eyeglasses selection..Manager argues instead of remedying customers situations and misunderstandings.Youll be much better taking business to another business.

Made appointment and showed up on time. Only one person was ahead of me when I arrived. After filling out nearly 10 pages of paperwork, and waiting 20 minutes, asked receptionist what my wait time would be as I had to pick kids up in 20. Was told I was next. After 40 minutes waiting total with no signs of hope asked again and was told I was next again. Staff seemed unconcerned and dismissive. Informed staff that If I wasnt able to be seen in the next 5 minutes I would just cancel my appointment. Also told them I had been waiting 40 minutes. To that they just shrugged and said I was next again. Asked receptionist if she could call me back when they were ready and she told me she couldnt call because she didnt have my #. Told staff my number was on my chart and she told me she couldnt call because she never did that. Awful! They need to learn to assist their customers and try to work with them...not be so unconcerned wth noses in the air. Terrible company!!! In the end I canceled my appointment and went somewhere else.

I was told incorrect information in regards to purchasing glasses with my insurance. As a result I now have to wait another two months. I definitely wont be going back
