When I decided to see a chiropractor, my 2nd chiropractor, I was skeptical. I came in with chronic pain in my left hip and buttock area. Dr. Lyell was able to identify through a series of questions and a video he had me provide of my running that my pain was caused by running incorrectly. I was landing on the heel of my foot instead of the ball of my foot. Dr. Lyell provided videos on correct running techniques. He also gave me a set of exercises to do daily. These exercises are key. It takes time and consistency, but they work. I started to feel better in about 3 weeks. I’m very grateful for Dr. Lyell’s treatment. I believe his background in sports injuries is a huge benefit and adds to his knowledge and skills in chiropractic care. I’m sleeping better, my mood has improved greatly, and I’m running pain free. Great experience and friendly staff, too.

At age 40 I had never been to a chiropractor before and had always heard once you start going you will likely always have to go. Unfortunately I injured my back and do to the pain I had no choice but to go. I was referred by my personal trainer and Im so glad that I was. I was so grateful that I was able to be seen the next day after call in for an appointment because I was in severe pain. I love the fact that I was able to complete my initial paperwork via a link that was sent to me before my appointment. The ladies at the front desk took care of the insurance stuff and even gave me a print out to show what would be covered under my insurance plan. I absolutely LOVE that there are no surprises. Cost and recommend treatment plans are given upfront. Dr. Lyell is a miracle worker. He came in the room listened and all of my questions and concerns and assured me I wouldnt have to spend unnecessary amounts of money. Dr. Lyell is very knowledgeable in his field. He took so much time out with me to make sure I understood my injury which included looking at diagrams. He also made sure my pain was managed and that I understood the stretching exercises I needed to do at home. Before my initial visit was completed the staff had already emailed me videos to further explain how to complete stretches at home and I was also given handouts and some samples. I have completed my 4 visit and I am feeling so much better. I still have a ways to go but I am 100% confident Dr. Lyell and his staff will get me back to 100%. If you have ever been skeptical like myself this is the place for you. Dr. Lyell and his staff will not only answer your questions and concerns but they will make you feel like family.

Amazing Relief!Prior to my visit to Proactive I was in bad shape. I was experiencing low back pain, stiff neck, headaches and my body ached all over. I was amazed the relief I felt after my first visit. I knew I wasnt completely healed yet but I knew I was at the right place. I continued treatment for several weeks and am now pain free. I am sure I will need realignment at some point. When I do Proactive is where I will go. The doctor is the best I have ever seen in moving skeletal parts back where they belong. He is very personable and listens to the problems you are having. In addition the Staff at Proactive are very friendly and professional.

I have been to several chiropractors for years of neck pain. My neck has always been difficult for any chiropractor to adjust but Dr Lyell has been great to work with and has always been able to help with my neck pain. Love this place. I came in with severe neck pain to where it was difficult for me to move it without having horrible pain. Dr. Lyell always took his time and answers all the questions you may have. I had been away from chiropractic care, Dr. Paul and his team, with the beginning of the Covid pandemic. Developing more aches and pains—sore, tight muscles, neck/buttock strain—I decided I needed to get back.I am feeling better, now, and working on those sore areas with Dr. Paul’s instructions and guidance. I want to stay active as I age even if it takes a little more work. I have an appointment, again, tomorrow (after visiting my young granddaughter)!I just take my face mask and hand sanitizer for additional safety—and Dr. Paul’s office does the same!

As a catcher/pitcher/outfielder/ construction worker, his knees, shoulders & back are prone to some abuse. We make the trip across the Illinois River as often as we need to, to get the best treatment in the area!

I was in severe pain with my feet and back prior to seeing Dr. Paul Lyell. Dr. Paul has done the graston technique therapy and taped my feet which helped me be able to walk again as I was in such severe pain with my feet prior to seeing him I was in tears daily. In addition to helping my feet he has done adjustments and taped my back; after seeing him my back has been much better. Dr. Paul is a great chiropractor and he always goes out of his way to help you with any pain or difficulties you are dealing with. The other office staff are always very accommodating in scheduling as well as everything else they do to make you comfortable during therapy. I highly recommend this place!!!

When I finally went to this doctor I was in severe pain. To begin with I waited way too long I had a back ache that was continuing for over 2 weeks come to find out I had a hip out of place with treatments from this doctor I was able to walk again the pain I suffered was very severe until I went to him his office is full of caring loving and generous people his wife Annette is wonderful. I give dr. Paul 100 Stars and I will continue to see dr. Paul on a regular basis cuz all your major organs stem off of your spine so if your spine is out of place your organs arent working correct and believe me at my age I need everything working right dont take my word for it make an office visit for yourself

Dr Lyell helped me overcome severe neck pain and tension brought on by a migraine headache. In 3 visits, I was able to work without the constant pain and tension in the neck and upper back. I will definitely return if the symptoms reoccur.
