13 years prostate cancer free thanks to Florida Proton. Not only am I cancer free, I have had no residual side effects. The doctors, techs, nurses and staff are beyond amazing. The experience my wife N I shared during the 6 weeks of treatment as well as the work up exams n meeting were extraordinary. Excellent nurses, radiation therapists and oncologists who show a caring and professional attitude to their patients (all support staff do so as well). Located in a medical community (Jacksonville, FL) with many items of interest when not in therapy (fishing, sight seeing, professional football (Jaguars) etc. and many excellent restaurants as well. Great place to stay while in therapy only 5 minutes away (Third and Main Apartments) is another added benefit.

Three and a half years ago I underwent 38 proton therapy radiation treatments at UF Health Proton Therapy Institute to treat an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Today Im virtually free of prostate cancer. But the real story is the treatment and the care that I received during my radiation treatments. From the receptionist at the front desk to each and every nurse and doctor and the highly trained and patient sensitive technicians who operate the proton units, their sole goal is to help each patient get through the procedures with as much care and comfort as possible at the same time ensuring the success of the treatments. The entire treatment process was culminated with me ringing the chimes right after my last treatment with all the technicians and nurses there to congratulate me and wish me nothing but continued good health. My experience here was wonderful. My entire care team (Dr. Bradley, Kari, Al, Jorge, Angel) were a delight to work with and always made me feel at ease. And you can’t forget Allison at the front desk! She always puts a smile on your face. I did have a slight hiccup with not receiving a refund check in the mail from the Proton Center after treatments ended, but Brad Robbert was quick to step in and resolve matters and my check was then delivered priority mail 2 days later. Despite this issue, what matters is that everything was made right and I still highly recommend this treatment institute.

If you have to fight cancer, the Florida Proton Therapy institute will build you a winning team. Everyone and I mean everyone was so professional, kind and empathetic to my cancer needs.I breezed through 39 treatments with very minimal problems. If I had a question it was answered within the day. These folks truly love and enjoy what they do as medical professionals.I would recommend at the very least call them, explain to them your situation and see what they can do for you. Such endearing memories of people and a place that cares for people.

I was treated with Proton Therapy 12 years ago for prostate cancer. I had minimal side effects and even played tennis and beach walked during my treatment. The staff was perfect in terms of following protocol and still being kind to all patients. Please read You Can Beat Prostate Cancer and You Dont Need Surgery To Do It. The staff are super excellent and try their best to give their patients the best treatment and always cheer them up. During my time in Florida, I even got to go to Walt Disney World (thanks to ), Flights of Fantasy, Universal Studios, Kitty Shack Gardens to see Lions, Pumas, Tigers, Jaguars and also went to see a Basketball match Live, I even got to meet the team, Jacksonville Giants and got a Photo 📸 with them along with their autographs. Therapy sessions went according to schedule. I had to return to Jax on a Mon. for the last treatment because they started me on a Wed.?

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in November 2018 and after doing a lot of research I reach out to UF Proton center in Jacksonville. They were extremely efficient in sending me literature and arranged for my initial consultation . Upon arriving at the institute you are immediately flooded with a wave of positiveness from the staff to the atmosphere in the institute itself. The staff are amazing, friendly , knowledgable. I had no doubt that I had made the right decision going there. Its now been 3 weeks since the end of my 8 week proton course. I feel great. No side effects. I just returned from my initial consultation at UF Health Proton Institute. I have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and am seeking the best treatment with the fewest toxic effects. The staff and facility and equipment are amazing. The whole experience was beyond my expectations. UF Health Proton Institution is my choice for prostate cancer treatment. My radiation oncologist, Dr. Henderson, spent all the time I needed for me to understand treatment options and answer all my questions. It was worth the 6 hour drive from Naples!

I spent a very pleasant month at Flimingo(?) RV park in my motor home undergoing PROTON treatment for prostate cancer around 20!! Years ago enjoying all that Jacksonville has to offer. l! I was very impressed with the staff, my treatment AND the results! PSA results have become so negligible that at 93 years old I don’t even bother anymore . 6 years ago I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. The University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute was the only proton hospital in the US that would agree to treat me. I received a phone call one evening from Judy Holland telling me they thought they could help me and asking me to come down to be evaluated. I thank God every day for that call from Judy.It is now 6 years since my treatment and there is no sign of the cancer. I am not retired and living in Pattaya, Thailand in very good health. Taking care of my health is my number one priority now. I am so thankful to all the staff in Jacksonville facility for all the kindness they showed me while I was a patient there. The two months that I spent there were some of the happiest times in my life. I can highly recommend this treatment center to anyone needing treatment for cancer.
