My Mother was a resident of this place for about 1 year. The family believed that this was to be her final care facility. Although Mom had her “end of life” care issues as many do she considered it her home. She often remarked that she got excellent care from the attendants who came into her room. Then one day Mom had a fall and reinjured a previous fracture from 30 years ago. After a brief hospital stay, and rehab at Jackson County Medical, Mom was to be released back to her apartment at Legacy. However before she even returned we got a call from the DON informing us that Mom was NOT ALLOWED BACK. The official reason given was that they felt they could not keep her safe as she was now a fall risk.I, and my entire family, were shocked to learn that if a facility believed that a resident was a “fall risk” that eviction was an option. So, let the buyer beware and know that if you believe that you have found that forever home… chances are maybe, just maybe… you have not. Just think about it before you place your Mom here because finding another one when you have just been handed your walking papers may not be so easy. Good luck.

Legacy is kicking out my husbands 94 year old grandma. No letter - ASAP - because of staff shortages. Due to her being needy. Well, the elderly are needy and that’s why they choose you. My recommendation is to look elsewhere.

My favorite mother-in-law has lived here for almost two years. We love it for her. The physical structure is warm, inviting and immaculate but elegant. Mom loves each meal. When we visit we always see residents enjoying a variety of activities. Most of all, the staff is incredible. Every woman and man we have met seems to enjoy their job and their patients. This is a huge improvement over Moms last assisted living home. Thank you Legacy!

Due to staff shortages Legacy has told my grandmother and several other elderly residents that they were evicted. Just a phone call for notice and they told me to get her out ASAP. Do not send your loved ones here.

Phenomenal campus, all around. Fifty-six rooms for assisted-living and twenty-six rooms for memory care. Staff is all-around caring. Call lights are always answered promptly, less than two-minutes, delicious meals, activities everyday. Residents always have a smile on their face. Aide-to-resident ratio is perfect, including Charge Aide-to-resident ratio. All around great place to be!

My mom moved to Legacy recently and she is very happy there. Having my mom here has been a great experience for both of us. Caring, Kind, Thoughtful, Competent, Informative are some of the words I use to describe the staff.Kim Loomis has been so helpful to us and so knowledgeable. She always makes time to answer my questions. Brittany also is so helpful as the first person you see when you enter. Everyone we have had contact with takes the time to answer questions, they call me with any information regard to changes in her medications or anything of concern. I looked at so many places and I am so thankful we made the choice to go with Legacy. I cannot say enough good things about everyone that works there. The building is so clean and so well cared for inside and out.Keep up the good work!!!

The care and love shown to our loved one at Legends at Legacy Assisted Living was absolutely wonderful with the exception of one incident which was immediately dealt with and corrected with no further issues noted. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and we knew our dad was in the best place because we could see the love there. Thank you so much for the love and gentleness shown to our dad during the last 4 months of his life.

I would like to thank the medical assistants, CNAs, nurses, kitchen staff, maintenance staff, management and all others that were a part of the team that took care of my mom at Legacy Assisted Living. She came there in October 2017. The level of care, kindness, compassion and genuine concern was first class. When you have a loved one with failing health that is living there, you can have a peace in knowing they are being well cared for. I knew that when I was not there visiting Mom, she was being treated like family by all the staff. Thank you so much. May God continue to bless you all. Paul Kope and Family

My Aunt was a resident at Legacy Assisted Living for a little more than two years before transferring to the memory unit. During that entire time, my Aunt was treated with tender care, respect, and humor. Both my Aunt and I truly felt like we were part of a loving family. Since my Aunts passing last month, I realize how very blessed we were to be in a place that was filled with staff that really were family. Thank you!
