I would like to start off first by saying that the scheduling process and wait time at the office were both fantastic, and that the people at the reception desk and the dental technician who I saw were all lovely. That being said, I think that the dentist and dental hygienist sometimes came off a bit condescending and judgmental of my teeth (things like saying that they would show me how to floss when I floss every night and insisting that I need Invisalign even though I’m uninsured and can’t afford it). I know I can be rather sensitive about my teeth so I don’t want to be too overly-critical of them; it’s just that it made a typically unpleasant experience a little more unpleasant. Additionally, I was told I had a cavity on one side of my mouth, but after the visit felt pain in another tooth I had previously had a filling put in and saw two small, brown holes in the top. I had initially assumed the pain in that tooth was a “phantom pain” or the result from all the prodding but I now believe that they missed potential cavities and/or a major issue with my filling. The last thing I will say concerns the treatment plan price. I came in with the first free checkup and 20% off the treatment plan promotion and while I was not billed for that checkup, there was no indication that the treatment plan had the 20% taken out or not so I’d have to ask later on the phone to find out (not a huge hassle but could lose someone a lot of money if they forgot to do so). Additionally, they want me to purchase an electric toothbrush that’s nearly $150 but didn’t say that upfront (Do I have to get it? Is it absolutely necessary for my teeth? Could I just buy a cheaper one at the store?). None of these were really addressed, so once again, it’ll be another thing I’ll need to call about and clarify. I’m not sure if I will be coming back here or not since there are other dental offices in the area, but I hope that this helps someone else.

Absolutely horrible service. I went in for a cleaning months ago and the dentist told me the plaque near the bottom of my tooth was just discoloration from sugary drinks. The said discoloration came off in a nice sheet yesterday. I had united Healthcare through an employer and they said they could take it but Couldnt find it in the united healthcare system. This is healthcare Ive had for 10 years and the only time it wasnt findable. The front desk said they would try to call my insurance but never did, I had to pay out of pocket. During the cleaning the dental hygienist was so anxious anytime I needed to get something out of my mouth she would just ask what was wrong instead of using the vacuuming tube. I waited until she left the room and just used it myself. They are incompetent and I would never recommend them to anyone again. My girlfriend needed to get a crown put in and we had to go back 7 times because they kept messing up either the temporary cover or the real crown.

I visited yesterday. They got me in right away as I noticed I probably had a significant cavity (my first ever!). From start to finish I felt completely comfortable and at ease. They explained the entire process to me— X-rays, meet with the dentist, the hygienist and then sit with the billing folks. I felt informed, not shamed for not seeing a dentist as regularly as I should, and I really applaud them for how patient friendly they are. I know going to the dentist can be nerve wracking for some people so I definitely think, if you’re one of those folks, you’d do well at Aspen. I’m actually looking forward to going back!! Thank you Aspen staff, y’all are top notch!

The woman I spoke to today at the call center was absolutely fabulous and then I had called the Ithaca office and the woman I had spoke to was absolutely delightful theyre very sweet people down there and very helpful

For context, I’d initially called Aspen about a few weeks prior complaining about wisdom tooth pain from my teeth biting my cheek, but never received a reply. I called back again when the pain became unbearable and finally received an appointment. I was asked to come in early and obliged, which is less of a complaint, more of context. The entire time frame of me sitting in the chair from leaving the room was literally 20 minutes for a 4 wisdom tooth extraction that I was told was a ‘medium difficulty’. I was repeatedly not given enough time for the novacaine to kick in, and had to retroactively have more added repeatedly. Towards the end of the procedure, on the final tooth, I was vocally expressing discomfort and was not responded to despite the fact I had been prior in the procedure. I received stitches on only one tooth despite assuming I was going to be receiving them on all four due to mentioning I use medical marijuana, and have had to go unmedicated for several days because of it, as well as not being sure of when I can start medicating again due to a lack of information. I also informed him of a medication that I’m on that increases bleeding risk, and I was not asked about oral contraceptives specifically so I didn’t mention it due to feeling rushed, only to spend the past several days bleeding to the point where I vomited repeatedly from swallowed blood, and finding out that oral contraceptives can increase your risk for dry sockets as well. While I recognize I should have thought to mention it, the feeling of being rushed made it difficult to think of relevant information. I wasn’t told what medications I was being prescribed before being sent to the pharmacy to pick them up, and the pain medication I received was ineffective to the point where plain acetaminophen was considerably more effective, as well as prescribed an intense course of antibiotics that would literally wreak havoc on my stomach due to underlying issues. The surgeon was gone from the room almost immediately after getting the last tooth out, and while the assistant was very nice and helpful, a minute to gather myself and think of questions after stressfully having 4 teeth pulled out of my head in 20 minutes before being sent to my car would have been helpful. The jaw and facial pain and swelling following the procedure was considerably more painful than the wisdom tooth sites themselves, and my jaw hurt horribly from the final extraction in which the surgeon didn’t change the side he was working from and went in at an extremely awkward and painful angle to pull the final tooth. I am absolutely dreading the thought of a dry socket and having to go back there, and am planning on going to urgent care in that event.

The staff were all really nice and the facility was great. Exceeded all expectations and Im glad I came here. As a college student money is a problem for me, but with the free initial checkup and giving me a quote afterwards I feel that I can come up with a payment plan to get more treatment.

I don’t know why the ratings are so low. I called multiple dentist offices to make an appointment for my tooth. Since I’m a college student and have a dentist at home the other offices told me that I would have to come in for a bunch of appointments to get established or that they were busy and couldn’t take me at all. Aspen Dental was super easy to book online, got me in the next day, and had very friendly and professional staff. They were honest about what was wrong with my tooth, gave me my first appointment for free with X-rays and 3D pictures and were very thorough the whole time. I would recommend them.

All dental work had was great but pay close attention to billing information I then had 2 different dental insurance and they said it was needed to do loan for dental work that started in October 2018 every appointment was for impressions or something else 2years I have no permanent upper denture or lower partial and ASPEN DENTAL will not see me because I owe them 240.00 mind you I got 2600.00 loan before I could move forward with dental work and had two insurance what happened to me was awful DO NOT let it happen to you pay attention to bills keep them ASPEN DENTAL have good dentist but will leave you with no teeth and broken.............

Greatest Dental team I have received services for. The reason why is because from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out every person for Aspen Dental that I interacted with was super nice and helpful (front desk professionals, technical assistants, dentist, scribe, and financial assistance planner). I just had my first root canal and crown done there. When I initially called, they literally got me in the next day. Ive heard of bad things about Aspen/the dentists there so I was scared to go. But the staff is very friendly and the dentist did a good job. I am very nervous with the dentist but they exceeded what I had expected. Im thankful to have had a good experience here.

First time yesterday. The entire office team is fabulous! I do not have insurance and found the fees affordable, and I qualified for their no interest credit through Dental First I believe. The treatment plan made sense and they were very patient with my many questions. Off to a great start!

Everyone was quite friendly and enthusiastic. I especially liked that I wasnt shamed for not coming in more regularly or for not flossing (I try to remember! I really do!). I was a little annoyed by how long I had to wait between seeing the hygienist and then the doctor, but I then overheard that because of Covid-19, they only had one doctor at a time in the office, so that was reasonable.

I had a crown come off a front tooth implant while traveling. Not conducive to smiling for sure. I called Aspen Dental and the gave me an appointment for the next day.Everyone I saw and spoke to was extremely pleasant and helpful- starting with the person who I spoke to on the initial call to the person who collected my payment.The only negative is that I had a long wait from my appointment time to when I finally saw the dentist. That aside, I’m very pleased with the care taken in re-cementing my tooth as well as the result.

0 stars for Aspen Corporate for making workers work with less staff than is safe and proper for good care during covid pandemic. I felt them rushing, working on 3-4 people at the same time, rushing from 1 room to the next, keeping people in the office longer than is safe & necessary during a pandemic. Dont go there if you are at high risk if you get covid or could possibly spread it. Keep Ithaca safe!

Scheduling appointment easy an fast, taking right on time for appointment, full service first visit was in fact free-exam-x-rays-consultation, needed and resulted in referral which stopped any work until referral completed. Staff friendly and accommodating, facility convenient but could be updated. This was disappointing. Follow up referral appointment not able to be made until 2 months in future.

I recently changed to this office for dental care. From my first visit to my last in October I have been very satisfied with all help and services. Kayla and Michaela have been very pleasant during the check-in and very helpful with insurance matters. I have had 2 excellent cleanings with Miranda; she is pleasant and very professional. Dr Anand did a very thorough exam on my first visit; better than any dental exams I have had to date. Thanks! I think I am a customer for life :-)

I went in experiencing a lot of tooth pain. The whole left side of my face was severely swollen. I had a severe infection in one of my molars. Luckily I was already on antibiotics. My appointment was for 8:45 but being a new patient I had to wait a little bit. Once in the staff was nothing short of amazing. They completely catered to my needs, and understood that I really dont care for dentists. 140 dollars later (with insurance) the tooth was removed and I am now home. The only thing I wished they did was laughing gas. That would have helped me way more than trying to calm myself down.Overall a fantastic experience and I am looking forward to seeing them in the near future to have the rest of the procedures done!

They were very good honest ask me did I have any question for them. Everyone were so polite! I say they are here for the people! Giving respect to all of their employees! They know their job.

My son’s appointment was at 4:15 for a routine cleaning. After waiting 45 minutes we finally went in the room for X-rays. After the X-ray they said they wouldn’t have time to do the cleaning now, then informed my son that he had plaque buildup and needed to brush better. They requested we reschedule the cleaning for another time. I am not happy that we now have to work out a second date for the routine cleaning. I hope that they actually do it next time. If you’re a new patient looking for a dentist, find one more reliable!

My experience with Aspen Dental has, so far, been nothing short of AMAZING !!!!! I went in, with current tooth pain, and knowing that I had severe issues with my teeth. Everyone form the front desk , to the Doctor himself were cheerful, understanding, considerate and compassionate to my situation.I also never thought I could possibly afford all that I already knew what I needed to be done.Not only did the extremely helpful staff work with me to get costs figured out, but then made time right then to accomplish every step of the procedures necessary, that day, so now I only have to go back 1 time. Im a college student from NYC and I had a dental emergency. They were friendly on the phone, friendly in person, and took very good care of me. As someone with a big fear of dentists who almost ignored my own discomfort to avoid going, they gave me a great experience and I think Ill be using them for the remainder of my time as a college student!

I was visiting Ithaca from out of town for five days (so not a regular patient) and had a filling fall out on my way to Ithaca. Aspen dental got me in the morning after I arrived and were able to refill my filling right away. Their phones had been down for a couple days (fried in a recent thunderstorm), my insurance was dodgy and kept them on the phone for a long time, and I’m not a regular patient. They had every reason to not be super friendly to me but they went above and beyond (courteous, accommodating, timely) and I’m extremely grateful!!! I was not looking forward to five days of shooting tooth pain until I got home and because of them I didn’t have to. Thank you!!!

I had to switch dentists when my old dentist passed away. I have no complaints about this place. They did an xray and initial consultation and then they had a cancellation, and thus were able to do a cleaning right after. The place is clean, the visit was fast, the staff was friendly.

Was pretty unsatisfied. Everyone was friendly, but they seemed a bit unorganized. I ended up sitting in the chair for 30mins waiting for the doc and he didnt come in until I went up to the front desk and asked for him. I also had concerns about the cleanliness. The rooms are a bit in disrepair with exposed insulation, drywall etc... They dont use sterile plastic coverings on touch surfaces so the doc kept putting his hands in my mouth then touch the lamp and stuff, getting my saliva everywhere, then sticking his hands back in my mouth.

Friendly staff for two stars but I cannot recommend this place to anyone.I came in for a simple tooth pull on a Friday and was absolutely exhausted and in excruciating pain by Sunday. I called when they opened on Monday like I was instructed to if new pain arises. I was told that my earliest appointment would be Wednesday.I denied and said I would call around and found an appointment with an private practice the same day. They found a tooth sliver left in the socket, and an advanced infection that required strong antibiotics and the neighboring tooth removed. That same day I told that dentist he had a new patient, because I will never go back to Aspen.I didnt listen to the other negative reviews and I certainly paid for it. They itemize every gram of material used in your procedures and try to scare you into signing up for their CareCredit for thousands of dollars. Again, the staff is great, but they are working for a shameful corporation. Take your money somewhere else.

Absolutely the best Dental office I’ve ever been to. I am extremely afraid of going to the dentist and do whatever I need to to put things off until o have no other choice. They make you feel at ease and are very compassionate. The girls in the office Kayla, Wylie and Crystal are all amazing!!! Dr Anand and Dr. Tin are so nice a great Dentists and Oral Surgeon!! Would never go anywhere else. I will continue to be an Ithaca Aspen Dental Patient forever!!

My hygienist is great but if Aspen Dental was not the only provider covered by my insurance I would seriously consider other options. As I was explaining to my daughter when we arrived I usually plan for my visit to last at least an hour and a half so that when I get out after an hour and 20 min I am not furious anymore. I dont have any major issues with my teeth and the cleaning usually takes about 20 min with about 5 min with the dentist on duty so the rest of the time is me waiting. I arrive at 4:00 and dont get called back until 4:20, then wait for the dentist, then wait for the hygienist then go out and wait some more to get scheduled for the next appointment.

The second I got there they sent me to get x-rays the lady didn’t change the bright side thing and I have a very small mouth she wasn’t patient with me hurt like hell and then the dentist saw me. He We’re trying to get me to get crowns on my two front teeth which I did not need because my primary dentist said I didn’t need it. This dentist he was just trying to get money out of me and didn’t care to listen what I had to say. I was only there to get the estimate amount of what it would cost for wisdom tooth poor they charge like 520$ for two wisdom teeth(without insurance). I went to my primary Dentist instead and they only charge me 150$!(without insurance!)(and that’s just for one tooth)Oh and they had Jenkee equipment it all looks like it needs to be badly upgraded

Aspen has always been helpful and efficient. I needed to be seen as soon as possible and even in this time of social distancing, they will take care of my emergency safely.

Staff incredibly friendly and professional. LOVE that they provide range of services—periodontist on site, and I need an implant and they can do that, without being referred somewhere else. The large equipment is pretty worn-looking—chairs, X-ray machine—but it all seems to work fine.

Just tried calling them for over 30 minutes during clearly business hour at 1:45 on a weekday and it went immediately to the youve called after business hours voicemail with no option to speak to a person. It was important (not an emergency, but important and time sensitive relating to an appointment for a patient). Thats...ridiculous.

Terrible service and lack of communication by everyone in the office. My wife went in to have her crowns removed and replaced that has been planed weeks in advanced. When they day finally came, Aspen dental staff could not locate information pertaining to the removal and replacement. Instead they offered her an evaluation even though she already had one months ago and gum scrubbing work to address the pain in her gum caused by the failing crowns.

Went to have a tooth extracted, was done very quickly, I didnt feel anything. Staff was great and explained everything to me. Follow up appointments were also right in and out with little wait time. I have been a patient at this location for 8 years, and Im not going to go elsewhere!

They were quick to see me but were incredibly pushy & rude. Suggesting I need braces to look more attractive when I very clearly dont need them. I asked about copay before my appointment and they werent able to inform me of it until after which was very overwhelming. I didnt like that lmao.

My experience at Aspen this visit was exceptional. Bill Morris checked me at the Ithaca location. Professional and very helpful. The x-rays went quickly, the doctor visit went quickly, the hygienist visit went okay...she jabbed that pointy thing in a little too hard for my liking, but I survived it. I am scheduled to go back in for my cleaning and Bill, again, was very helpful in getting that scheduled. I am however still waiting to find out whether or not they are going to need to put me on an Antibiotic before the work on my teeth begins, but they have time to do so.

Shocking that a place like this is allowed to exist. Saw them take advantage of so many people while in waiting room. My turn they told me I needed 1500$ worth of work done. Got a second opinion and nothing was wrong. Also wanted me to come back for second visit for cleaning, who does that!? Seriously, find anywhere else to go. Everyone who works here are criminals.

Listen to the reviews and save yourself a headache. ***If you have Tricare military insurance the oral surgeon is not within your network***. The Ithaca office is within network with Tricare but since the oral surgeon travels from OUTSIDE of network to Ithaca they are going to charge you FULL price, which is not my fault if they have to travel. I had a wisdom teeth removal appointment scheduled almost a month in advance with Dr. Tin and the office calls me a week before my appointment and says they are going to charge me over 2000$ for the procedure when they had originally told me 250$, they got mine and my husbands insurance mixed up because he is covered differently than me and told me it was only going to be 250$ because they put his information in instead of mine and then they tried to blame me for giving them the wrong insurance number when they read me back mine when I gave it to them my first visit. Very disorganized, HUGE MONEY GRAB. Waste of time. Find somewhere else.

I arrived 15 minutes early to complete my new-patient paperwork. There was no one at the desk-- they were in a staff huddle-- do I didnt get my paperwork until a few minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Thats fine; but then I waited a full HOUR to actually be seen. That was pretty ridiculous. Once in, the appointment went relatively quickly. The staff was all extremely nice and friendly and I didnt even get a guilt trip for not flossing.

My hygienist was careful and detail oriented. I had some plaque on my incisors that I just could not remove with brushing alone. She went to work and spent a good deal of time and attention there, more than previous hygienists have, and I was like ya get it girl. I am so pleased with the results.

I had the best experience at this Aspen . From being greeted at the door, to tooth pulling, to making of dentures to the cost, they were EXCELLENT. I had some formed opinions before going . I felt like I was entering a third world country, I was scared but this was all I could afford. Boy, was I wrong, they gave me beautiful dentures with a perfect fit. I am so happy I went. The doctors and assistants were great. I highly recommend!

Absolutely terrible experience with Aspen dental. I went in with a tooth pain that required a filling. They take an X-ray and determine that I need one cap and 7 fillings and give me an estimate for $6000!I had to go to another dentist for a reevaluation and I only needed one filling.It seems like Aspen Dental is only focused on making money without any ethical concern for the patient -- all they needed to escape liability is to look at some low density areas in my teeth (that are probably natural) and determine I need fillings in all of them.

Staff was very professional, kind and helpful. Came in as a walk-in left 2 hours later after having 2 teeth removed and feeling much better then when I entered.

I no longer hate going to the dentist. They have wonderful people working from the office to the chair! They have given me caps and bridges which saved me from having “false teeth.” I love my teeth! Also had a whitening process which has given me a confident smile.

I went there a few years back, they said i needed $5000 worth of work done! But if I purchased a discount card it would be less. Low and behold I went to see a proper dentist and the work I needed actually only cost me $1500 - which included wisdom tooth removal. He stated what Aspen said I needed doing was bogus.

I have severe anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist but everyone at Aspen Dental in Ithaca, NY has been incredibly patient, kind, and comforting. Im usually terrified to just get a cleaning so when I learned I had to have more extensive work done I was petrified. But everyone there helped me get through it. Each time I go, I feel less and less anxiety. If you are afraid of the dentist, I recommend you go to Aspen in Ithaca. Let them know you are scared when you make your appointment and they will be there to comfort you the second you walk in the door.

Had a broken tooth, used the online scheduling, was seen at 915 am and tooth was removed by 2pm. ive had teeth pulled before and unlike the other place i went to they actually checked my blood pressure before pulling the broken tooth as well as prescribing antibiotics unlike the previous place i went to. great job all in all

Very misleading about whats free. I called to ask specifically about pricing for a cleaning and was told an exam, X-rays, and cleaning would be covered. Im new to the area and while I wasnt looking for anything free I was happy to take it.False. I asked, several times, about whether it would be fully covered and was repeatedly told yes. They do X-rays, and the dentist comes in for a consultation that consisted of him telling me to come back for a cleaning. The cleaning itself is not free (although its relatively cheap - less than $100). My husband and I walked out without making an appointment; the cleanings may be less expensive but my time is valuable and I was mad wed been duped. You could not convince nice me theyd been anything other than intentionally misleading. They may be great but Ill never go back to find out.No one was flat out rude, but it certainly didnt seem like any of the employees were happy to be there.Also, if youre appointment is at 8, dont show up 15 minutes early as they tell you to. Doors dont open until 8.

Staff was friendly, but I was majorly over diagnosed. They said I had a serious infection in my gums and wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic and referred me to a specialist for a root canal. I went to another dentist two days later for a second opinion and there was no infection whatsoever. I was able to get a regular cleaning with no bleeding at another practice two days after they said I needed a special $3000 cleaning because my gums were so damaged...

Aspen dental has been one of the best medical experiences of my life. the support staff and the doctors are absolutely stellar on a professional level, and the human factor has been kind and compassionate. aspen has always made me feel like i matter to them. you cant get better than that.

I’m switching dentists. You’d think a chain office would be organized but they aren’t. The people are so nice but their organizing is lacking. I got calls to keep pushing my appointment back then forward by like an hour or two all in the same week and then push in around in the same day. I don’t like the interaction patients have with their dentists, they come in say two words after looking at your teeth then leave. Super impersonal and probably why a lot of people hate going to the dentist. I won’t be returning and I don’t recommend it. Also I am trying to contact them today and twice their phone just ring ring rings and no one answers. Irritating.

They have worked with me to help me keep my teeth healthy and my bills affordable. Nice clean office as well. I never looked forward to going to the dentist till I found this office.

Charged me $130 for an electric toothbrush that I never asked for. Never even consulted with me as to why I needed such an expensive toothbrush. In addition, they kept trying to make me come back for additional cleanings.Totally lost any confidence and trust in them. They made me feel like a walking wallet for them to try to extract maximum profit and not a medical patient in need of dental care. Will never come back.

My visit was very positive. The knowledge of the staff helped educate me on my oral care that I have never received prior to my visit to Aspen Dental. I have been pleased and informed friends and family of the experience I have had in hopes that they too well decide to go to Aspen Dental for their oral care.

My visit aspen dental was great no long time wait, staff members were friendly the entire time. My x-ray was good. Thanks God I didnt had cavity,but the check out visit was good and important,. Good job! Aspen dental

I would’ve scored zero stars although it’s not an option. Unfortunately Aspen Dental is simply trying to get as much money from people. I have been going here for over a year. They made me purchase an electronic toothbrush that cost over $200. They refuse to do any work on anyone until they’ve had you come in and pay for this toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash. I paid for this initial appointment and for the toothbrush, mouthwash and toothpaste because I needed work done. After attending Aspen Dental for a year I go in because a cavity they filled came out. I was told they’d be able to fix it. Yet the appointment I went to was another initial appointment, where they again tell me I need to get this toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash. Again telling me everything I need done is over $4000 but with my insurance it’d only be $900. Mins you this is exactly what they told me a year ago at my initial appointment, except then I didn’t have insurance and without having insurance it would cost $3000 to have everything done. I don’t see how after a year of getting work done that the cost to fix everything has NOT changed. This company is simply money hungry and I highly advise everyone to go elsewhere for a dentist.

Admittedly, I hadnt been to the dentist in a very long time due to not having insurance. I went to Aspen Dental for the first time for x-rays and an initial cleaning. I knew it wasnt going to be pretty - need 4 fillings, I have a wisdom tooth that needs to be extracted, among a few other things. Arienne, Miranda, and Dr. Anan were incredible. They were understanding, patient, and took the time to explain everything to me (in some cases more than once). However, even with my insurance, it was more than I could afford. They got me with Wylie at the front desk who helped discuss options for me and together, we found a plan that fit within my budget and got me the treatment I needed. Once everything was settled, they got me back in with Miranda right away who started the treatment plan to get my teeth and gums back in the shape they need to be!

Everyone was very professional and they answered my many questions. Wait time was a little long even though I had an appointment, but the waiting room was comfortable and Fixer Upper on the TV kept me entertained. I’ll be back for more dental work moving forward.

I went to Aspen dental thinking I was going to have a great experience, which was at first. They seemed very thorough but I didn’t receive no care what so ever the dentist and hygienist poked around and looked at my teeth then labeled a whole bunch of problems that was wrong with each tooth. After they hit me with a whole bunch of prices for the work I needed done on each tooth and and I supposedly have beginning stages of gingivitis and need all these special things that are included in what they wanted me to pay that would’ve costed me $801.06, and with the wisdom teeth taken out it would’ve been $1,708.60 I began to look at this woman like she was crazy because I don’t even have that type of money at all and further more she tried to convince me to get a loan just so I can get my teeth fixed and it’s not like I don’t have insurance I have great dental insurance that I haven’t even used yet so why do I need to come out of pocket to get minor things done for my teeth I’d understand if it was things that needed to be cosmetically done but majority of my teeth needed medical fixes only !!!!that my insurance covers for and they said they take my insurance. Idk if this is a corporation or just them having that one location with the way they work robs your money and I’m only 19 and they tried doing this to me I’m from New York City originally and never in my life have I seen a dentist office work this way. I won’t be coming back here again

Starting at 3 Stars. Last night on of my molars cracked and about a third went down the esophagus. Im going to call Aspen and see what can be done. Ill review my posting afterwards. Im curious to see if it goes up or down.First Update:Okay, I called during regular business hours and they hadnt turned off their out of office yet. So, this has changed to 2 Stars.Second and Final Update:No more appointments today or till Monday because theyre going to be in training and wont have any doctors available. Changed to 1 Star.12-17-19Id like to change my reviews. I decided yesterday that I couldnt deal with the pain and discomfort of a broken molar any further. I went to Aspen Dental in Ithaca this morning to see what they could do for me. They took full x-rays and provided me with options. I went back this afternoon and had the tooth extracted. Id like to say that they provided me with outstanding professional service and Im happy that I gave them a second chance. I can honestly say that I strongly recommend Aspen Dental in Ithaca, NY.

Had a minor scheduling issue but overall this place is great. They do a good dental cleaning and the staff and building are very nice!

Got to my appointment 15 minutes early as asked 30 min after my appointment was suppose to start they were calling in people that came in after me. An hour and 30minutes after my appointment was suppose to start they finally took me back for X-rays. After the X-rays they had me sit in a dental chair. I waited there for another 30minutes to finally be seen by a doctor who took 3 minutes to poke at my gums and tell me I had healthy teeth. Then they sent me on my way and tried to set a different time to do a cleaning. I will never go back

Why is this place always trying to rip ppl off and maximize their profits?! after an appointment in which they came up with a treatment plan that cost $13,000 i decide i wasnt going to go back. however a few months later i thought about how clean the office is ect and decided i wld go there just to get fillings, which i knew my insurance would fully cover. however, this time i was told it was going to cost $600 for a cleaning to prep for the fillings. I always wondered why my insurace rarely wanted to fully cover the cost of services with them..its because they inflate their prices ALOT. This place truely disgust me at this point! im sure ill get the typical response in this review from some office manager about how my opinion matters and that they will forward this to a higher up and blah blah blah

I had a good feeling when I met the dentist but then when I went to check out, they never scheduled the appointment for a couple of teeth to be extradited. I got a call from them to set that up and thats when I was asked why I didnt go to the previous appointment but I told them I had been there. Thats when I found out they never made my appointment for the following week. When I had the procedure I was very disappointed by how things were handled. I aso do not understand why you have to pay upfront. Ive never encountered that at ANY dentists over my 50 years of going to the dentist or the oral surgeons and always paid when the procedure was complete.

They got me in almost on time... I only had to wait 10 minutes. They were training new people and they did a great job. I have sensitive teeth and the person cleaning my teeth did a terrific job at being careful. Thank you Aspen.

Just horrible responsibly, I been there and they took the images and gave me the quote. I asked them to email the images to me, to show to the other dentist but after 13 days they havent even after calling them multiple times. So, patient which is in pain should accept their price or wait endlessly to get the pictures or should do imaging again which is extreme amount of X-ray exposure in short term. So I wouldnt recommend anybody to go that place at all.Today (1/8/2020) I am adding to my previous review. After two weeks from my last call that they told me that they will send the x-ray images, they still havent. I called them again somebody named (Keylla) promised to follow up and send them soon but I havent got them yet. These are happening while I have tooth pain but it seems they dont care enough.

Everyone there was very kind and caring, made a very nervous experience the best it could be. They talk with you about the cost of your procedures and options for payment so you are not hit with a surprise bill.

Terrible experience. First visit after being a patient there many years ago. I made an appointment online for a routine teeth cleaning, upon my first visit I was led back to the x-ray area, the room itself was filthy, looked like the floor and walls needed a massive scrub down, and it look like x-ray machine itself was caked in some mystery substance. After my x-rays, I was given a 2 minute oral exam and the dentist told me, bluntly, I had three cavities, with no other explanation.The receptionist came to retrieve me soon after being brought to the wrong room by the dentist, to bring me to the front again to discuss payment options and to inform me that the next appointment for teeth cleaning was and hour and a half later that day or in three days. Utterly confused, I made another appointment.Upon arrival for my second appointment, I waited 45 mins, watching everyone else in the waiting room being called in and taken care of. Completely frustrated, I approached the receptionist to reschedule. She ignored me for at least 10 seconds to FINISH THE ARTICLE SHE WAS READING ON HER PHONE, before looking up and addressing me! She did not apologize for the long wait but informed me, begrudgingly, that she would let the hygienist know, that I was leaving. Needless to say, I did NOT reschedule, and will never go back there.

My experience at Aspen dental is always A plus! Staff is kind , caring and intelligent!

It was good the first two years I went here. My last visit wasnt so good. After having a cleaning , I was told I needed thousands of dollars work, when six months prior, I had one cavity. It ok for cleanings, but I would recommend getting work done somewhere else. It seems they are more interested in getting insurance money than in treating the patient.

They got me in when I needed to. The dentists are always awesome no matter which branch I go to. Their fees are a bit much if you have no insurance and if you do have insurance, they seemed to charge even more over the copay. But if you need dental work asap its the place to be! 😀

Since I dont have dental insurance I checked out Aspen Dental. First thing to consider is each location is independent owned - so this review is only for the Ithaca, NY location. Easy to get an appointment, friendly staff and flexible payment options. However; Dr Wilson is less then friendly - actually hes outright rude. But if you can handle an ego Doc - who is good - its a fine dental office.

I am from out of town and had a crown fall off. I was able to get an appointment xrays and assurance from the doctor he would recement the crown back in place. Staff asked me to seek billing staff collected my $200 and was escorted back to the treatment room. Doctor then rwent back on his word slapped some cemwnt on the crown and said it was a temp fix and I should get a few weeks out of the fix. Less than 24 hours later the crown is back off and surpsrise the doctor is not in today and the office closes at 2. I was promised a call back with a resolution but that has not happened and I am leaving for Florida in the morning. At this point all I want is money back.

I have a couple issues with this visit.First, a cavity filling completed in June left a pocket under the filling. Although pain was minimal, the dentist determined it must be repaired. He stated Aspen Dental wood do a new filling at no charge. After reviewing more X-rays, the dentist determined a root canal was a better solution. I will be charged fully for the root canal. That does not seem reasonable.Second, due to evidence of possible infection, I was prescribed amoxicillin. I was unaware that amoxicillin is in the penicillin family. I am allergic to penicillin and had a reaction. Fortunately, I figured it out quickly and stopped the medication on my own.

The office is well furnished with all the necessities and the staffs are very knowledgeable!
