I have gone here for years (usually an annual eye exam) and have not had one negative experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the doctor is thorough. I was recently fitted for contacts and they did an amazing job. Gave me a crash course plus extra tips and suggestions, which made me feel confident in taking care of my eyes and contacts. And when I decided to switch over from daily to 2-week contacts, they got me in and out quick. I will continue coming here for all my vision care needs!

I love Dr. Ciobanu, she is extremely professional and informative. She is an absolute pleasure to go to. I love that I can ask her questions and she provides me all the information I need as well as gives me her thoughts and opinions. Felt like she was in a rush the whole time is nice but when it came down to doing the exam on my son she was rushing him and had no patience at all. Very disappointed I love target and thought I would enjoy eye exam here but I was so wrong hope the next doctor on Friday is a lot better.

The dr was great. My appointment was at 10am the office staff didn’t arrive on site to open the door until 10:05 then had to get settled in before I was helped. Maybe schedule appointments 10-15 later than opening?The office staff seemed unpleasant and not helpful navigating what all my insurance covered and wasn’t clear on what my charges were. Very slow moving. I wanted to make appointments for my children but I think I will go elsewhere.

I received excellent service from Dr. Tran. He communicates well and has great patient manners. I had a very pleasant experience with him and would gladly return to him in the future. However, I had a very sketchy experience with the vendor for my glasses. She gave me a good deal, but she wasnt explaining exactly what I was getting until I saw the written transaction in the end. I would think twice for return business with your vendor.

Needed to update my prescription for contact lenses. Was easy to set up an appointment online. Exam took 10-15 mins. Would return again.

Dr. Ciobanu listened to me and gave me options. Being a photographer and video maker, my eyes are important to me and Dr. Ciobanu really took the time to find out what is best for me between polarized, blue light blockers, prescription, and she took the time. Not many Doctors do that.

I have always had good experiences for the past six years with Dr. Ciobanu and staff. I wish more would be covered by VSP, but that is my only complaint. The A New Day and Goodfellow Target brand frames are trend adjacent and highly affordable. There are usually a BOGO of some sort for a second pair, making the store on par with COSTCO and other VSP providers.

Today was my third annual visit with Dr. Ciobanu and associates and her examination and discussion of the results were very professional. Over the many years of visiting various optometrists, she has impressed me with her wisdom in her profession and why I have repeated seeing her for my annual vision examination.

Dr. Ciobanu is the best.Incredibly satisfied and surprised by the experience.Im so used to the LensCrafters style of eye care that I was a little taken aback by her many questions and follow up questions. When the question of previous or current health issues came up she listened to me ramble on about an imbalance disorder Ive had for years.She genuinely cares about her patients and it shows.At the end of the appointment she gave me my Rx and took special care in mentioning that my new Rx has some changes and may affect my balance a bit. She offered advice on how to deal with the new changes. She then told me to not hesitate to come back if the Rx wasnt working out for me as I had other options.As others have mentioned the facilities were spotless and state of the art.Im wearing my new glasses now, the Rx is perfect. Dr. Ciobanu has been my eye Doctor for 3 years now. I highly recommend her to friends and family and to those looking for a high quality eye doctor in Orange County. She helped me find a great fitting set of contacts, as my old contacts were not comfortable. She also addressed allergies and a dry eye issue, resulting from laser surgery. I pay for my vision coverage out of pocket and her rates are very reasonable. The location in the Tustin Marketplace is convenient because I usually do some shopping before or after my appointments. The doctor is friendly and always asks how my family is, ect. The opticians and employees are all very friendly and knowledgeable as well. The tests are done with modern equipment and seem to be very thorough. With that being said, Im usually in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. I appreciate the efficiency, attention to detail and overall experience.

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to Dr. Ciobanu. She is the BEST! While here on a short trip to drop off my teenage daughter, we noticed that she had something lodged in her eye (tunred out to be a very small piece of metal). Because it was a Saturday it was almost impossible to find an ophthamologist to help her, we were told to visit the optometrist at Target in Irvine to assess the severity of the injury. We randomly showed up without an appointment, and even though Dr. Ciobanu was completely booked, she saw my daughter anyway with no wait time. 20 minutes later she had treated the condition and put my mind at ease. I couldnt begin to thank her enough for fitting us in and treating the injury so quickly and effectively. THANK YOU DR. CIOBANU! I hope that you read this :)

Great experience at Target Optometry with Dr. Ciobanu. Making my appointment was easy and they were able to accommodate me the next morning. I was greeted by Kaila about 5 minutes before my appointment and filled out very basic and minor paperwork before meeting Dr. Ciobanu and having my exam. The whole clinic with the lenses and exam room were extremely clean and brand new. The exam room in particular was filled with newer technology, some of which Ive never seen before. My last eye exam was about 4 years ago so I appreciated what seemed to be a thorough exam. I got my prescription for my glasses and went back to look for some lenses. Kaila was very helpful and even gave me her own opinion on a lot of the styles. Finally, I decided on a pair and got some remaining measurements done before paying. Overall, it took less than an hour and a lot of that time was from my own un-decisiveness in choosing frames. Highly recommended, Dr. Ciobanu and staff were friendly, professional, and helpful.
