As a first time patient and working in a medical office; I was overly impressed with the great customer service and genuine Care that was given. The first thing my 13 year old daughter said was “wow, they were super nice!” Dr. Mergen was fantastic, and took the time to explain everything. I wish I would have asked his assistants name as well as the front desk receptionist because they were just as great! If I could give 10 stars I would. My daughter was only 8 when her dentist recommended we see an orthodontist. Dr. Mergen was our 3rd opinion as I wasn’t comfortable with the recommendations from the first 2. I am so grateful we found Dr. Mergen, as his treatment plan for my daughter was so much earlier, faster, less invasive, more comfortable, and just over all a way better fit for my daughter. No teeth pulled, no cranking a palette expander, no waiting for 3-5 more years to do anything, and a year later, we have a 9 year old with a beautiful, perfectly straight smile and room for ALL of her teeth! Making the trek here from Cedar Rapids was 100% worth it for this experience and I will definitely be bringing my other kids here when they are ready for orthodontics!

Where do I start? After going to a couple of dentist for trauma, I was transferred to Dr. Mergen for finishing touches. Great customer service! Very friendly staff. Didn’t have to wait in the lobby for more than a couple minutes, very fast and efficient =) The only thing that I would consider doing differently is to schedule an appointment half way through to discuss the progress on the braces and what the pt would still like changed from a cosmetic standpoint, and what will be done the following weeks until the braces are off. Overall very great care received, would recommend Mergen Orthodontics to others.
