The donor network has been so incredible to my family during the past year. Not only did they help my grandson change the world but they have supported my family along the way.

Today we came down to view the donor wall and make a sketch of our moms name. I don’t have enough nice things to say about Courtney! She was amazing! Compassionate! Helpful! Giving! But most of all genuine. She made this day so much sweeter. Thank you so much

We were invited for a private visit to see the wall of donor names. My wifes mothers name is on the wall. Thank you for your great kindness.

I am a donor and will remain to be a donor, but the practices need to change of this organization. They called my mom 6 hours after my brothers passing and kept us on the phone for well over an hour with a million questions. This is way way too much for someone who just lost their child. The man on the phone lacked sympathy or compassion. Then called us back 2 times that evening with additional questions. Horrible!! Then my mom opens a random package and finds a letter thanking her that they were able to use my brothers eyes and skin and other things. No one wants to imagine their child be sliced up. Just a thank you would suffice or to “request additional information on how you helped someone please call 800———-“. Not everyone wants to know all these details. It’s all just too much and too soon. Yes, we want to help someone, but it has to be taken into consideration that families are grieving and don’t want to imagine their loved ones cut up. Update** I did call them to voice my concerns. I have to say that the supervisor I spoke to was incredibly nice and compassionate and spent quite a bit of time hearing my concerns and also explaining to me the extensive ways that each decision is decided. It turned out we spoke to someone who is pretty new and although that is not an excuse, it does make the situation more understandable. My mom is nevertheless unpset, but I do think the organization as a whole is giving a lot of thought and really does care about its families. We unfortunately had a bad interaction with them.

Great organization! Amazing people! I will be taking the training to become an advocate soon.
