The nurses and staff are great. But it is hard to get your child healthy when the doctors only see the patient 1 time per day for only a few minutes. I think this hospital has a fundamental flaw with the process. I will take my child somewhere else next time if at all possible. Things move so s-l-o-w here that a fast recovery is not possible. She was 2 weeks old when she went in and they took so many blood samples she needed a transfusion. This will always happen because they take chest x-rays every morning and blood gasses continuously. Not to mention the morphine addiction because it is easier to treat a sedated patient with their process. It took 3 days just to ween her off.

The children’s emergency hospital entrance they allow people to smoke so we got a big smell of cigarettes when entering with a small child. The emergency facility is a dump as the rooms and hallways are all run down. They have not invested back into this area of the hospital. The nurse did not try to warm up to the child before taking temperature and blood pressure which caused the child to get scared. The nurse had no clue on how to treat children. She wanted to keep using force and finally I ask them to leave. I would take your child to Riley children’s hospital in Carmel. Appears Peyton is not visiting the hospital because it’s going down hill.

Thank you to anyone involved and the care of my grandsons in the emergency department Friday evening. 1 of them came by helicopter and the other one with their parents. The doctor did an amazing job stitching together Waylons ears. Everyone is amazing!

Very unprofessional. Tried explaining my daughters situation and this nurse talked over me and my fiancé. Horrible communication skills, just not worth the hype.

Such cold, unfeeling nurses!

Took both my babies here with covid complications. The front desk was everything but unpleasant. They treated us all like we were horrible people for coming in with covid. The nurse who first did my kids vitals was very sweet, she unfortunately was not from the children’s department. The next nurse who was apart of the pediatric emergency room, came in and was so rude, I had to stop talking before I said something rude to her. She was nothing but cold to us including my children. Made them both extremely upset and crying. Made them both out masks on when she was in the room, they couldn’t breathe with their cough and noses being stuffy and they also were all worked up with the masks on. I will never bring my children back to this hospital ever. If you want the best care for your babies, take them elsewhere.
