Worst place ever, definitely go else where. I was told that they took my insurance and that the doctor I was seeing would also take it. Nope not true. I got an almost $600 bills for a doctor who didnt take my insurance. Such liars, go elsewhere where they actually address your medical problem. Worst place ever, I even told my primary doctor about this place. I will continue to tell people to not come here.

I really appreciate the excellent communication that I have been having with Rimpee the Nurse Practitioner. She is a good listener and give clear feed back and answers all my questions in detail that I can understand. She is really helping me reduce the amount of medication that I am taking and I feel really good about the direction we are going. As always, I still appreciate Dr Nieves for doing a great job on my shots. He has been the only Doctor that has actually given me good results. Thanks to all and the staff to. Excellent Group.

This review is in reference to Dr. Nieves at the Hurst location. he insisted on seeing me every 30 days for refills, bloodwork and urine tests, even though I was non narcotic medication. his staff is mediocre at best with no sense of urgency. getting an appointment with this group is like dealing with a circus with noone really knowing what they are doing. now, on to the billing company they use. i was a victim of Covid and lost my job. i was able to afford one month of cobra to see physicians i needed to see. I explained to his staff that i would be self pay and then i would file the claim for reimbursement to the carrier myself. unknown to me, they filed the claim and it of course denied for no coverage as the cobra had not back dated as of yet. so, i get a bill for 400.20, even though i had already paid the self pay rate of 120.00. i called to let them know to go ahead and file the claim again since coverage was then active. they did as instructed and received payment of 66.66 with my responsibility being my 50.00 copay. i called to confirm they had received the payment and when could I expect my refund of 70.00. the people i spoke with, well, lets just say. . they should not be in this business. the placed my account on hold for 30 days, while they sorted it out. guess what I got in the mail today. another statement for 213.00. as a medical biller for more than 20 years, i was shocked. not only did they receive payment from me for 120.00, from the insurance for 66.66, but now, they are attempting to balance bill me for the contractual adjustment for in network providers. illegal shall we say. now UHC is involved and soon the texas dept of insurance will be as well. check your bills closely just in case

Thought this place was more nice and professional but I was wrong. I have an appointment today for 10:45 when I snowed they said it was cancelled. And they did not care or apologize for it even though I did not cancel it. Than she went on to say they were booked and could not see me. Also needed to talk to someone about getting the battery replaced and it was approved from insurance and I need to get that scheduled as well. Also Ive only seen the Dr Nieves once and the nurse practitioner the other times. And they dont tell you until the day before a procedure for what something costs.

One star is generous. My date of service was 3/2017 (should have written this long ago!!!) I was approached in the exam room and asked to sign a form for consent to swab my cheek, in order to run a test that would help determine which medications my body would respond best to for my pain. No information in regard to what that may cost, etc. i signed the form and they took the swab. Then, I agreed to have steroid /pain med injected into my back. I left the exam room, and felt funny in the waiting room, came extremely close to passing out; dropped everything in my hands and another PATIENT helped me stand. i was taken back to a different room, and my BP was low, and i began shivering uncontrollably, heart racing. I was TERRIFIED. Im an RN, and had never felt this way in my life. I had to have my fiance come pick me up.To add insult to injury on this horrible experience....about a month later, I received a bill, for this DNA lab test...for $9,880.00!!!!!!Disputed the charge in person, and reported them to the Better Business Bureau. The charges eventually got adjusted, but I then received a bill from lab for $110. Ive disputed that over the phone, and had charges reversed.Completely CORRUPT business. NOT interested in helping people, only scamming for BIG BUCKS. Disgusting.

I work customer service in fact Im in management at a big chain. The waiting time has got better, in the past it was 2 hour waits or longer. WHY do I have to take my urine sample back to my room? When there is a window in the restroom? One its gross two how is that my job?? Ive also been coming there for years when I started coming the drug screens were random every month is NOT random. Its costly and annoying! I truly wasntgoing to say anything. But this is the second time I was asked to do this review. Overall things seem better hopefully it will last and get better and better. Also the bathrooms could always use more attention especially when you cant even flush toilet paper 🙄 thats unsanitary and it always smells like pee.

NEVER have I been so deceived and mistreated by a Dr office. NEVER!I discussed with the Dr two months ago that I had been making progress, and would like to be taken off of the 50% narcotic pain medication they currently had me on, and try a NON NARCOTIC alternative. While I fully comprehend that opioids are required at times, I didn’t feel like I needed them anymore. I am not a huge fan of the drugged up feeling they produce, and know they are very hard on the human body, and are also extremely addictive. I was told “no problem, we understand, we are going to prescribe you this alternative “XYZ”.After waiting almost two hours past my appointment time today, and in a great deal of pain as a result...I was told that they had been feeding me OXYCONTIN for the last two months! The drug they prescribed me was not only not a non narcotic alternative, but was OxyContin with a much less assuming name. What a gross intentional deception of a medical patient. Completely putting a patients health in danger and intentionally ignoring a patients wishes PURELY FOR PROFIT.

I have been very disappointed in the level of service I have received by this office. I lodged a complaint online then thought I would give it another chance. Wow, was that a mistake! I have received nothing but run around, lies, in many and return phone calls. I feel as though I have been singled out simply because I wrote a negative review. You people need to understand that this is more than just a medical practice, this is a business and the way you run your business is absolutely deplorable. I will now be writing a letter to both the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General noting the lack of service in the absolute mist treatment of somebody who is disabled and relies on medications. I will also be finding another clinic!

I am currently in the middle of having the second of three procedures done at this place. So far I have found the process of getting and maintaining the appointment to be very difficult. They are a separate entity but work directly with the surgical center just below the office space for the doctors. In going in for my first procedure the surgical center does not have the same information that the offices above with the doctors have so I am called by a nurse tol give all my prescription meds information and things that Ive already spoken to the doctors offices above the surgical center all over again.you dont know until the day before the surgery what time your procedure actually is and then at around 4 p.m. the day before the surgery three or four people call me. one calls me to tell me that someone else will be calling me about appointment time and is about three or four calls all together. I was supposed to have my second appointment over two weeks ago but for some reason things got backed up at the surgical center and my nine oclock arrival time turned into 10:40 still waiting to be checked in until we finally asked to leave and reschedule and we did. I assume that this point that they would call me back with a new time to come in but I was wrong. I finally decided to call them and after being passed from three different people and on hold 20 minutes I finally got somebody to do so. There just doesnt seem to be a lot of communications between the Texas pain relief group offices to the surgical center down and that was the frustrating part through this whole process. Once I was in the hands of the surgical team everything was great and all the people there are excellent that prepared me for the surgery. The Process of getting an appointment from one point to the actual surgery center is just not done well in my opinion.11/13 update. My appt 2 days out gets cancelled by because I needed to get a new approval from my primary Dr. for this service.A month ago I was already assured by Texas Pain Relief scheduling person in Florida that this would be taken care of but to no avail. This further enhances my belief that no one really has a clue as to what goes on leading up to the actual procedure. I am now being put off another month. See you in December.

DO NOT GO HERE! If you read the reviews from a year ago or more you get the mistaken impression that this is a good facility. It used to be at least decent. Not anymore!I have been a patient here for 2 years. You would think after that long they would at least know who you are. Every month it was like I was a new patient and they didnt remember what my issues were or what meds I was on.Its almost impossible to see the doctor, you are scheduled to see a PA and I have seen 5 different ones. They never know who I am and theres nothing in my chart so you have to repeat your issues over and over.I have found another Pain Mgmt doctor that is fantastic! I thought this was just the way it was. You dont have to be treated like this!

I dont often leave negative reviews but a quick Yelp search will reveal many of the same reasons Im not returning to Texas Pain Relief in Hurst. Ive had a number of serious problems over the past three years or so I have been taking my mother there for treatment and I even became a patient myself so I could be seen at the same time and get two visits out of the way in the time it takes for one. I dont expect VIP treatment but on the rare occasion I need something from them I cant even get treated like a human being, let alone a customer who pays them a lot of good $ every month. The doctors are competent but dont ask them to share an umbrella if its raining... They couldnt care less! Texas Pain Relief Hurst has a 1 star Yelp review average and I suspect that is only because there is no option for zero stars. If you enjoy the customer service at the DMV and being overcharged & treated like a drug addict then youll love these folks.

The Hurst office is staffed with extremely competent, educated in their jobs and most important kind and caring people. So important to me, the Patient. This goes for Everyone, the receptionists, the office staff, the surgery staff with their special Surgery Caps, and the OR staff. The Nurse Practioner Saini Rimpi is exceptional and I come away feeling cared for. Dr. Luis Nieves is a wonderful example of what you want in a Doctor/Leader, compassionate, knowledgeable and energetic. He obviously likes his job as do the folks who surround him. 01/22/2020-I am updating my review again. I am happy with the care I am getting now. I hope it will continue. Previous reviews: I am cautiously updating my previous reviews today. After my nightmares, see below, I talked to the office manager and Dr. Nieves. The wait times are significantly less now, and I am able to get my medications in one appointment each month. Dr. Nieves even asked last week to make sure I wasnt having difficulty obtaining my medications. I now have a clear plan of care that is being followed.4 months ago: This practice has become the place of nightmares. You go in and talk to the practitioner, leave and go home and think they are actually trying to care for you, but surprise! Not a good one either. I went in just over a month ago to see Dr. Nieves and thought that we had worked out a care plan to help control my chronic pain. He said he was going to order a brand specific medication that was better absorbed, so that I wouldnt have to take a higher dosage. I got my RX filled and it was the same medication I have been on for years. He didnt reorder the medication that had been previously ordered to go with the same medication for break-through pain. So after just two weeks, I got to pay another copay to talk to a different provider to see if they would order that medication. She ordered it, BUT told me that I would have to come back in two weeks, pay another copay, for my regular monthly visit. This practice is horrible about calling back patients after they call to ask questions on the help line. The communication is horrendous. They do not document what was discussed when you call, so you have to start from the beginning every time. The consistency in care, along with the lack of communicating changes to patients before they leave the office is worse than horrendous,-5 stars. My visit last week with Angela, the second time I have seen her because they are having problems keeping PAs...well, when the medication was called in, the provider, Angela, had decreased my dosage for my primary pain medication to a quarter of what I have been taking. A month ago and 2 weeks ago the dosage was okay, but last week, NOPE! Wait it gets better...After I called to ask why and request that my dosage remain the same, they cancelled the RX, and as of today, over a week later have not sent in another RX. So, today I will take the last of my primary pain medication. I have talked to the office and told them I was running out of medication, but I still dont have anything at the pharmacy. Sure, I have the medication for break-through pain, but if I take more than the 2 ordered per day, I break my contract with them. It will not help much with my chronic pain either. This morning I will be going into the office again, just over a week after my last visit, to sit and wait for a cancellation to try to get my needs met. Yes, it will be extremely painful to sit and wait. Because I cannot drive, my sister in law will possibly miss work and my chronically ill husband suffer, but they are coming with me because they see that I am not receiving the care I am paying for. This practices tag line is We dont just treat the pain, we treat the patient. This is how they treat the patients. I see from other recent reviews that my nightmare is shared by many others. This is from 2 months ago: I had previously given this practice 5 stars. So, what changed? Over the past several months wait time to be seen has increased. The last 3 visits I have waited 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. My pain medication dosage was decreased without ANYONE discussing it with me beforehand. This is a pain medication that has worked well at that strength for 5+ years, that I have taken responsibly. I called to discuss what I understood to be an error with them and I was told I would have to make another appointment and the dosage would not be changed. I am very dissatisfied with the poor communication and disorganized state of this practice now. I used to feel like the care provider actually cared about managing my pain, now that isnt the case.

They could care less about the patients. They cut all pain management opioids and push you into having shots and other procedures that are temporary if they work at all. I was never asked how I felt, nor was I ever thoroughly examined by anyone except a young PA who was there from another clinic to fill in one day. When I saw a PA, they would tell me they would refill the prescriptions and then it went to dr. nieves and get reduced. If there is one thing I truly hate it is being lied to. I have had one cervical spine surgery and 2 back surgeries and have arthritis and stenosis at both sites. I went to my Neurologist, who is the doctor that doctors go see when they have problems. He told me the reason they want to push you to these shots is for money (as he held up his hand and ran his forefinger against his thumb indicating dollars). Now that I am on a med that does me no good unless I take several of them, I decided Im not going to go back. My Neurologist told me that shots are a temporary fix if they work at all; then you must go back to get another shot, which will not last as long and is less effective. Then you reach the maximum they can give you in a year.If you are a chronic pain sufferer, you will be looked at like a dope fiend. In other words, you cant be honest with them because they dont want to be honest or helpful to you, the patient. If you are looking for a pain clinic...DONT GO TO THESE IDIOTS!!!!!Good luck!

We dont treat the pain, we treat the patient. Sometimes they treated neither one. I found Texas Pain Relief to be very LONG on rules and very short on compassion. The your late, the doctor wont see you now seems to be a favorite. This is a PAIN management center yet they seem quite ready to send you home IN PAIN or at least without needed medication if you are at all late. Its OK to let you sit waiting for an hour or two but YOU better not be late because they will cancel your appointment without hesitation. On one occasion not only did the doctor refuse to provide pain medication he refused to even talk to me or my 97 year old mother! Pleas that she would have NO pain medication over a long weekend were coldly met with make another appointment. All this was based on being ONE MINUTE over their arbitrary time limit (which we werent). ZERO stars is warranted for this operation. POLICE your doctors TPRG! You should be looking for reasons & ways to relieve people of their pain not just their money..... Need PAIN relief? PLEASE look elsewhere!

Let me be clear, this is just the tip of the iceberg -I have been a patient here for 3 yrs now and up until Ray left I had always been treated very well and like an individual. That ALL changed from the moment he left. Meds forget to get sent in and even when my pharmacist and I both req. 4x it is ignored and I had to withdrawal for the weekend. This has happened several times. I am told I need mris redone and then nothing happens again. Just another # these days from an office that was once so personable. Things are consistently forgotten these days, thats aside from the 2 hr wait I had at my last visit. I am definately looking at what else is out there, unfortunately.

Disappointed at the lack of compassion or care from this facility. I have been a patient here for two years for chronic back pain and wrist issues. I’ve had three procedures done. They get you hooked on Meds, then cut you off. They cut my medication so much that I was unable to go the full 30 days with what they gave me, and consequently my UA came back clean. Two months of this “didn’t add up” to the brand new doctor here, and he had me discharged. Thanks for nothing, and I will take my business to more compassionate and competent doctors somewhere else that can actually help my pain.

They tell you to call in every 30 mins until the person on call will return the message. They told me after the 5 call that her message box was full. They said they said that they would call until she answered. Now I am sitting here after 1:30 am and no call has been reported. I have never been through this kind of stuff before. This is not right to put a patient through this type of treatment when they are in pain. I will be contacting the office to make a formal complaint and 8 will be changing to a new doctor.

After a couple visits yesterday things looked up they said theyd increase one of my meds but when they faxed my script in it had stayed the same. When I called the nurse told me there had been a mistake but then when I get the NP on the phone she says the Dr wants to decrease my meds. When I told the staff about this, they told me to go to the restroom up front, I dont know this clinic and am not aware of where the restrooms are. NO compassion, they seem to be annoyed I was taking up their time. I will be looking for a new Pain Management clinic.

If I could give zero stars I would ! They purposely started drug testing me 3 times a month the get more money out of me knowing my insurance only covered 1 and each drug test after that was $1,000 and they kept giving me false positive tests because they were at fault for not giving me my medication for a month because I was breastfeeding and said it was an issue I didnt have my medication in my system even though they didnt give me any I now left their practice and because of their reports I cannot find another doctor even though they were at fault! DO NOT GO HERE WHATEVER YOU DO!!!!!

Been calling this office for 2 days and no one will call me back. The messages say they check them 3 times a day and call back. LIES ! I have called over ten times to get test results and nothing. You can not talk to a person and get anything accomplished - just transferred. Worst experience ever !
