The staff act in a professional, caring manner. They listen patiently, make suggestions for care, and answer questions thoroughly. When there are problems, they help to actively resolve them. This hasnt been the case with many of the providers that I have seen. I have seen many doctors and other professionals for my chronic pain. Dr Nieves and his staff are some of the best.

After reading these ALL THESE EXTREMELY NEGATIVE REVIEWS. I think I will CANCEL MY UPCOMING APPOINTMENT. There is no since in getting a prescription that can’t be filled because the office won’t answer the phone. Also there were several other reasons not to waste my time and money listed in these reviews. I WAS WORRIED AFTER 2 VOICEMAILS and 2 TEXTS from different people a few out of Tampa Fl I’m in Texas saying they would be there to help me with any customer service problems I might have (reading from a script)…scary!! Unbelievable!!

Thorough and great bedside manner. patient, kind & professional. sought out second opinion after questionable treatment recommendation from nearby Hurst pain center. upon comparing MRI images from May & Oct 2020, Dr. Nieves found what 5 other doctors all missed (2 pain, 1 neurologist & 2 ER) and the cause of my issues. hes referred me to someone better qualified to perform procedure that, if possible & successful, should improve my quality of life considerably. hes honest, open & caring... but above all, he wants to treat the CAUSE of your pain, not merely throw drugs at it. recommend, without question. oh.. and office chairs are so appropriate for pain patients. thats important!

Worst Doctor ever. Very rude!!! Doesn’t have a heart. Do not trust him with any pain management problems. Dr. William Moore is a better doctor then him . He’s not an understanding person. I had a procedure and he canceled it because my blood sugar is in the low 200 . He wanted my blood sugar to be in the low 80s. The reason why it was in the low 200 is because I was nervous about the procedure.

Dr. Nieves is easy to understand and explains things well. I hate that the regulations that are changing are making this impossible for the Doctors to do there job. Dr. Nieves is awesome at his job, he gave me my life back and the ability to not live in constant pain. This office is amazing the staff is GREAT! The girls up front and Johnny one of the nurses are the best I have seen in all my 55 years !

I was hopeful that this group would be the ones to help with my severe neuropathy, sadly, after recent experiences, they will not be. This is the sad part about large group practices, they forget the patient. I have been on non narcotic medications and yet i have to see Dr. Nieves every 30 days to get a prescription refill as he refuses to issue 90 days. Lets not forget his front desk and the amount of attitude they possess to be working in a filthy office. Lets also hear it for their customer service group. Customer service is not their strong point. Obviously hiring whatever they can get to read a script and have no idea what they are speaking of and that is if you can get through. Please save your time and find a different pain doctor.

I will give Dr. Nieves and Dr. Landry five start, great compliments they are very nice and listen to you when the time comes to see them, the back staff is very friendly, however the front staff is sometimes rude and not professional at all, specially one of the ladies in the front it’s give the back staff and doctor a bad image, I have tried to get corporate to call me and they really don’t care to get feedback from the patient whom pay their salaries and food at the table for their families. I am staying because I love the back staff and doctors. But they really need to get better people in the front desk as the faces of Dr. Nieves.

Get off of the lies with scheduling being out past 30 days.... WHATEVER!!! LIES!!! I have attended this office for I think 2 years now and never was I scheduled out past 30 days. YOU DID NOT FOLLOW THE RULES! FACE IT! the FRONT staff deals with so much you have NO IDEA! YES< they are the face of Dr. Nieves and for that reason, they catch a lot of peoples frustrations. I believe you owe them an apology!!! Thats just my opinion. They can have bad days just like you, RIGHT!, but I still have not witnessed them treating anyone bad nor myself for that matter. By the way I am Ms. Kuhl if you need to address someone. Careful what you do or say. this could be the difference of a meal on someones table. How RUDE of you!!! Dr. Nieves dont listen to this lady...........

Getting their office to do anything in a reasonable amount of time is hopeless. I have had a really really bad experience with the practice (staff, PA, doctor) and Ive tried to get a response from the office manager and never get a response. Im ending up having to find another doctor after the restrictions he has put my other doctors treatment plans and CONSTANTLY changing my medication every. Single. Month. Ive suffered a seizure already from a different doctors mishandling of another medication and have tried conveying it to them to no prevail. I really dont recommend this doctor if youre handling other health conditions and even remotely sensitive to medication changes. I submitted my request for my records to be sent to the new provider and it still hasnt happened after about 2 weeks.

Horrific experience! Very poor care and office is old and dirty! I had a procedure and was never called prior to procedure with instructions ( like no food or liquids 8 hours prior), they did not request my records from my out of state physicians as instructed to do so. I let Dr. Nieves know the left side of my head and neck was the worse and he treated the right side instead. He never gave me a diagnosis or prognosis or ordered tests to know exactly what he was treating!! No one explained what to expect post procedure. No one talked my husband in the waiting room. I had to wait 3 hours. I was in pain and crying post procedure and was told I had to go back to their office the next day if I wanted something for pain! My husband called and was told “we can’t do anything”! It was a total cattle shoot! I was lucky enough to have had some old pain pills from a past surgery or I would have had to make an ER trip! I have had several surgeries over the years and I have NEVER been treated like this! On top of it alI we discovered the treatment he performed is not necessarily the treatment for what is causing my pain! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This is the most incompetent group of medical professionals that I have run across in quite some time. The front office staff are rude, nonchalant, and care more about ordering Starbucks coffee then meeting the needs of their patients. The physician is rarely in the office and when he is the wait time to see him is four hours or more. Staffing for appointments are done offsite at a call center so there is no one to police the amount of appointments that are being scheduled. It is obviously about dollars and setting appointments as oppose to patient care. It is a matter of time that insurance companies become aware of this and shut these malpractice behaviors down at his office.

You have decreased the number of pills prescribed twice without consultation. These decreases have made it difficult for me to manage my chronic pain successfully. Having this pain is stressful enough, but to keep decreasing the number of pills I am allowed when my pain level has not changed makes that stress much worse. It boggles the mind even more that you would do this just two weeks after a very painful surgery. I don’t visit your office and take these prescriptions because I want to... it certainly isn’t fun. I do it because I have to. Since this has now happened twice, I will be contacting my insurance company and changing pain management clinics.Chris Brayton

Someone dropped the ball for getting a Cardio Clearance for me, for the second time in Dr Nieves office. So I am one procedure behind. I never saw so many fingers pointing backwards when my procedure on March 18 had to be cancelled. I had to go to the Surgery Clinic after the office staff in Dr Nieves office staff and nothing to say and a young lady picked up the phone and called, same number I gave Dr Nieves staff, and had the clearance within minutes, for my procedure on March 25th. WOW!!

Stay away from this place. I only attended this office for 3 months. Dr. was nice. The scheduling for a new appt went past 30 days. So when i went in last they said I didnt have enough medication in my system. I told them why and they didnt listen so they let me go without a month supply to help my pain till I could find another doctor. So now i am praying for a new doctor and going thru pain and withdrawals that r dangerous and can kill u.

No one here is on the same page. I have been forced to choose to treat only one of my problems when Ive been on the same meds for 20 years and have had zero issues because I take things as prescribed. I have chronic pain, have had 2 foot surgeries in 6 months and am now refused pain medication because I went on spring break and needed my xanax. I have PTSD from an abusive ex husband and when I see a car like his or something similar, I am in panic. As a single mom, I have to treat that to function. I have severe insomnia and was forced off my ambien that Ive been on for 20 years which still only allowed 4 hrs sleep at most. Lack of sleep increases pain and causes psychological issues. These CDC rules and these idiot doctors are hurting people and pushing more and more patients to the streets for illegal drugs. Way to go America . Let a group of young, dumb pill popping addicts prevent real patients from being treated. The nurse practitioners here are rude af and never have the same information. Go anywhere but here. Dr Nieves was good but waiting 4 hours past an appt time and being charged over 500$ for a drug test that costs 15$ is THEFT. F these people. The reply makes absolutely NO SENSE. I dont have PTSD from pain, I have it from an abusive marriage and my baby being stolen at 5 months old, unweaned from breastfeeding, and I have panic attacks when flying which I had to for spring break so I filled a xanax script so I wouldnt climb the walls like a cat who fell into a tub! I do NOT have spine pain (i have a little degenerative disk disease with no pain just muscle tension) yet you guys want to perform an invasive procedure on my spine. I had foot surgery 6 months ago and will suffer pain another 6 months on that one, and I am having surgery on the other foot on the 28th of March for which I need PAIN MEDICATION UNTIL IT HEALS but because you refuse to look at a patient to patient basis, we get screwed and more deaths will ensue as people get fed up with having to choose what to treat and say F Yall. I also have chronic (20 plus years) insomnia but cant take the nightly pill that got me at least 4 hours of sleep and less pain. You guys are an ENTIRE JOKE. Maybe also consider that most people dont have SURGERY MONEY. Reported you guys to the CDC for suggesting unneeded surgery.

Firstly, Im a proud U.S. Armed Forces Veteran! I have been coming to Dr. Nieves since May, 2018, this mustve been at least my 10th visit (between Spinal, Shoulder, TMJ Injections, and Dr visits for evals and medications refills). I have to say that Dr. Nieves, nurses, and his office staff, have been true blessings, God sent!!I have been suffering with a lot of pain for 20+ years (I got severely injured in 1998 when I was in Airborne school, Ft. Benning, GA), I have been to MANY MANY drs and therapy centers since then to treat my pain and my deteriorating condition, Dr. Nieves by far stands out to be the absolute BEST!! He is very humble, but incredibly knowledgeable, very talented, multitasking, caring, professional with a great sense of humor!!He does sometimes the shoulder injections on me during an eval visit for a previous Spinal, or TMJ injection and medications refills, I never had a doc do that! Were talking about efficiency (saving my time, and everyones time) AND most importantly INTEGRITY (the Doc looses the chance to charge for extra visits) because the doc could have scheduled me for a single appointment for every shoulder injection and charge for extra visits instead of doing the shoulder injection during my evals and refill visits.Dr. Nieves performed the injections on my shoulder as if he was putting on me a Band-Aid (with a very minimum pain) unbelievable confidence and experience! Finally I would like say to everyone that has been struggling with chronic pain, or just got injured! Please come see Dr. Nieves, youll be glad you did!! He will listen to you and treat you with the respect and the understanding we all want our drs to exhibit!!Thank you Dr. Nieves!! Youve helped me so much, Im very grateful!! God bless you!! And many thanks to your staff as well, theyre awesome!!

Please beware.Dr. Nieves seems very capable and friendly. However, the staff doesnt respond. They do not answer or return calls. They told me that I would have $0 to pay. However, they office they use for procedures is not covered by the same insurance that works for his office. My provider informed me that they told this to the office rep for Dr. Nieves. A miss Olivia was informed that their other facility was out-of-network. However, even up to the day of the procedure, they said my portion was $0. I learned of this problem, so I called and spoke with the office manager, Naomi S. She explained that they were aware and that they handle me like I was in-network, so my portion was $0 because I had met my in-network out of pocket deductible. She confirmed that I would not owe anything on that procedure. I explained I had a 2nd procedure scheduled. She confirmed that it, too, would be handled as if I was in-network and they would write off the remaining balance. I had the 2nd procedure and now 2 months later Im receiving those bills because I was out-of-network. Ive called and left a message for call back, but have yet to hear anything.Im very disappointed/frustrated/stressed and now have large medical debt.

This place is supposed to be pain management experts! My a$$! My husband switched practices when his doc suddenly stopped treating patients with Medicare. They cut his pain medicine by 75% the first Month! He had just had a spinal chord stimulator placed so reduction was coming. Now today, they didnt have his sleep meds or his Lyrica/Neurontin Rx approved by the attending physician in time for his appointment with the PA - so they just didnt give him any! I will hold you people responsible if he commits suicide in the next month for denial of treatment and medication...after all we have already been through!

This is what happened to my wife!!!If I could give ZERO stars I would.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!(He is not board certified and unprofessional)I had an appointment today at 3:00pm. I was told to arrive 30 minutes eyarlier to fill out paperwork. I arrived in the parking lot at 2:24pm and was inside waiting in line within a couple of minutes.I stood there waiting while two people were helping someone in front of me. They had no idea what they were doing so the receptionist kept asking the other person what to do. Finally the patient in front of me leaves, the receptionist ignored me and walked away. Finally the other person said come over here and Ill help you. He hands me a cup for urine, and a stack of paperwork to fill out. I go straight in and do my business and then come out and start the stack of paperwork. It was asking for very detailed information so it took some time.Another patient walks in and sat down next to me. She reeked of acohol and cigarettes. I started getting neauseas and wound up in the bathroom puking. I have MS and a seizure disorder so Im sinsitive to smells, lights, and loud noises. After throwing up I went back out in the waiting room and my husband got up and told the staff what happened and that we were moving to a quitter area.I thought the professionalism was already bad well heres were it gets worse. It is now 3:30pm, 30 minutes past my appointment time of 3:00. We had been there an hour. They proceed to tell my husband that we have to reschedule because I missed my appointment due to my paperwork not being finished. WHAT in the hell???? NO ONE told us that the paperwork had to finished before my appointment time. NO ONE came out and told us that we needed to hurry up, NO ONE told us that we had been cancelled. They were rude and disrespectful. I asked the manager to talk to the doctor and she said he was the one that cancelled do to my lack of having my paperwork done. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism of not only the staff but the doctor.I would not even treat an animal the way I was treated. RUN DONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
