My mom did therapy for her right leg in June, July, and August. The Therapy has been an excellent experience and her leg doesn’t bother her anymore. And She would recommend others to do the therapy.

Did not explain what was my situation. After an expensive MRI you want to know what is wrong. He literally said come back when you have more pain .Right now you should be OK. The guy needs to explain how bad is the situation, second whether there are other issues. Just a brief visit and kick you out of the door is not very professional.By the way when I worked as an Engineer at Boeing many Enginners used to be very rude and brief with me. Soon I found out I could not trust their work. Cant make the same judgement here.Having read Quantum Mechanics and acquired great knowledge I fear when people act like this. I saw this at Boeing as well.

This was my one year follow up from triple laminectomy from August 2020.Received the same excellent level of care as throughout this experience.I would strongly recommend Dr Dixit to anyone.Even with the covid protocols during the time of care Dr Dixit and his team never failed to provide the best possible care before during ,and after my surgery!

Im new to Alabama and was nervous to locate a new neurosurgeon. I have a complicated and lengthy spinal history. Fortunately I found Sportsmed. Dr Dixit was a Godsend for me. My back and leg pain prior to surgery was incapacitating. I woke up after surgery and the leg pain was gone. Today, three months post surgery my leg pain remains gone, my back pain which was chronic is also decreased. Overall I can easily say I have an 80% improvement. Im 59 and Im so thankful for the future Dr Dixit has given me. A future where Im not crippled by pain and I can be as active as I choose. Dr. Sanat Dixit, MD is a great neurosurgeon. I was in a great deal of pain, and I was falling and losing my ability to walk. I was referred to him for lumbar spine surgery, but he looked at my MRI and xrays, and noticed I had a more pressing problem with my cervical spine that would leave me paralyzed if not corrected. He repaired my neck first, and then I had a second surgery for my lower back. He is compassionate and kind and upbeat and energetic. If anyone has to go through this, I would highly recommend Dr. Dixit and his staff. I am not one to trust doctors easily, but I trust him.

Dr Dixit is an excellent physician and Surgeon, he took the time to discuss my MRI results and what my options were. I had to have cervical spine surgery. Dr Dixit explain in detail what this type surgery entailed. I was very please with his staff, they were very professional and easy to talk to about the surgery. I was nervous because I did not want to have surgery during this COVID-19 era we are living in. DR Dixit and his staff made me feel at ease .Dr Dixit and his team monitored me after I was released from the hospital until it was time for my after surgery visit. I received email daily to answer questions on how i was feeling. All in All if you need a good Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr Dixit is excellent, he has a good bedside manner, and his staff is great. My surgery went well.

When first meeting Dr Dixit and the few times after, Dr Dixit always has a smile on his face. Our family had an awesome experience with Dr. Dixit. He performed two Kyphoplasty surgeries on my 83 year old mother. She had fractured her back twice due to Osteoporosis. It was a successful surgery both times. Dr. Dixit was great with her. He is an excellent surgeon, and his bed side manner is outstanding. Highly recommend!

Very good experience. Had two disks removed and bones cleaned up. Dr. Dixit and his staff were very professional and compassionate over the last two years. He and his staff explained everything in detail. The app they use for checking in periodically (between appointments) was also easy to use and appreciated. We can not say enough good things about our experience with Dr. Dixit. My mother endured a fall that resulted in a fractured vertebrae. After initial assessment of her injury, doctors decided her recovery plan would not require surgery. As days went by with no relief and increased pain, we were referred to Dr. Dixit. His plan of action was to do a cement injection to fill in the fracture. Given my mother’s age of 91 we were apprehensive about her recovery after surgery and even her ability to come out of anesthesia. She had suffered so much pain up to this point, and we wanted to make sure this was the best decision. When we were notified to come out of the waiting room to meet Dr. Dixit in a consult room following her surgery, he greeted us with a smile and two thumbs-up! He explained to us the success of the procedure and what we needed to do in the following days and weeks. My mother felt almost instantaneous relief and she has been getting better ever since.His bedside manner is incredible and it is obvious that genuinely cares for his patients. We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Dixit.

Dr. Dixit saved my life in Denver, CO in July of 2008. I had a leaking brain aneurism ready to burst and he successfully coiled it through my femoral artery. I had to have neck sugery invovlving opening the front and back of my neck to put in rods and plates to stabilize my neck and protect my spinal cord. Dr. Dixit was awesome making sure I was well cared for and my pain was taken care of. Throughout the recovery I was constant checked on and cared for. He did a stellar job repairing my neck! I presented Dr. Dixit with a complicated mess. I have had 2 previous cervical spine surgeries. I continued with the pattern of Pain after those surgeries. I tried injections, acupuncture, dry needling, Chiropractic and Physical Therapy . I could get temporary pain relief but nothing permanent and the pain was worsening and affecting my life! I honestly thought I would have that pain the rest of my life. Dr. Dixit performed a anterior cervical fusion on me and I am basically pain free. I can not say enough nice about him. I went to see Dr. Senat Dixit, at the recommendation of Dr Cobb Alexander, with a pinched nerve in my neck that caused my left arm and hand to hurt badly. I had even lost strength and feeling in my left had. Because I had been in pain for months and had waited so long, my only option was to have surgery to relieve the pressure off the nerve. Dr Dixit and his staff had the greatest personality and made me feel really comfortable. He told me that he could make it better but he could not guarantee anything. He told me that he had had a good success rate, but, there’s always a chance that the surgery would not be totally successful and it was a chance. I decided to go through with it. My surgery was December 14, 2017. After surgery I did physical therapy and followed his orders. As of right now, I have not had any more issues with my neck, arm and hand. My mobility is as it was before I had surgery. My peripheral view is good and my strength in my left hand and arm is approximately 90-100% back to normal. I have had a good experience with Dr Dixit and his staff and I highly recommend him.

I visited Dr. Dixit in the Huntsville, AL office for low back pain. I found Dr. Dixit to be very knowledgeable and professional. My wait time was minimal. Dr. Dixit saved my husbands life! This is not an exaggeration. My husband went into the ER with an aneurysm. I recently had surgery to remove a bulging disc from my neck that was pressing about halfway into my spinal cord. I had gone to see Dr. Dixit as a referral and had gotten his name from the doctor I see at a pain clinic I go to for issues in my lower back. Im So glad I went. I liked Dr. Dixit immediately and he wanted to see an MRI, CAT scan to determine exactly what was needed to solve the issues I was having with numbness and tingling in both arms and hands. I was also experiencing headaches. We had the tests done and he discovered the bulging disc which startled me when I saw it on the x-ray. We scheduled the surgery and he went in and removed the offending disc and also removed bone spurs and did a fusion. The surgery went smoothly and I only stayed in the hospital one night. My recovery was uneventful and quick. I didnt experience any problems with my neck or the incision. I plan on talking with him in the not so far future regarding the lower back issues Ive been dealing with for Years now. I would certainly recommend Dr. Dixit and his team/staff to anyone needing neck or back surgery. I am so happy I went to a neurosurgeon instead of an orthopedic surgeon for my problems. I was referred to Dr. Dixit for a lower back problem, My back was so painful I could not walk, sit, or lie. It was anticipated I would need surgery. After looking at the x-rays and MRIs, Dr. Dixit fused three lumbar vertebrae. My sharp pain was gone. I actually had relief. sixteen months later, I have been dismissed. My back is 90% better after the surgery. I would recommend Dr. Dixit. He is a great surgeon and has great bedside manners. His staff is patient friendly . They are so nice and put you at ease.

One year post op of 2nd fusion. Found Dr Dixit by doing my own research after jumping thru all the insurance required hoops. Tried a local pain clinic (do NOT recommend) & pain was still tremendous. Dr Dixit listened to my history, heard my issues & was able to get me in right away. I am profoundly grateful to his abilities & treatment. Not all Drs are good at what they do, but this guy is great! Strongly recommend you consult with Dr Dixit prior to allowing anyone to cut on you. He gets 5+ Stars from me.

I was pleased to find a neurosurgeon that finds alternatives to back surgery. He is not a cut happy surgeon on backs!! He sent me to therapy for two months and I am happy to say I am much better! I know I will have to continue these exercises but he says surgery is a long way off if I continue to do as directed!He was very friendly and listened to my complaints did an MRI and he explained what I had and sent me to therapy.As a retired OR nurse I highly recommend this neurosurgeon!!

Dr. Dixit was a miracle worker for me. I had siatic nerve pain almost a year with no relief and no hope in my heart to get any help. I came to my appointment with low expectations of help but Dr. Dixit said I can fix this. I was overjoyed that someone was ready to help me! I had two surgeries a day apart and two weeks later after all surgery pain was over i was blessedly pain free!! I love Dr. Dixit and his whole staff , they are fantastic!! Dr. Dixit performed ACDF surgery on my neck in June. When I first saw him I was expecting to receive a shot, not surgery so when Dr. Dixit explained the procedure I would need, of course I was terrified. He spent a lot of time going over every aspect of the surgery and the risks involved. Dr. Dixit has years of experience and had performed this same surgery over a thousand times and he doesn’t mind telling you that he’s good at his job and I like that confidence. It puts your mind at ease. That’s the kind of surgeon you would want. He is very kind and you see immediately that he genuinely cares for his patients. When I woke up from my surgery my pain was gone. How amazing is that! I have had minimal discomfort since my procedure. Dr. Dixit’s office utilizes the Healthloop app which was amazing. For weeks I received daily messages with pertinent questions checking on my progress. I was able to ask questions through this app. Dr. Dixit and his staff would respond usually within the hour. This helped tremendously. Dr. Dixit has a wonderful staff that make you feel like family. I would highly recommend Dr. Dixit.

My husband suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013. The stroke was so severe, that without a craniotomy he would have died. Dr. Dixit performed the surgery. Dr. Dixit took care of me. I have a bulging disk which caused painful sciatica in my right leg. He treated it with an epidural and physical therapy. The pain has almost completely disappeared. No surgery so far, and I hope to keep it that way by continuing exercises at home and being careful. He has been helpful and encouraging during the followups.

Worst place you could ever be. I felt singled out because I am asian. The whole Sportsmed appears to be 99.99% white nurses. They do not have respect to peoples time and appointment. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Very patient centered & listened to my concerns. Did a great job in surgery & helped me to conquer the ever-increasing chronic back pain that Id had. I was having difficulty walking. Started having tinkling in my toes on both feet.I thought I had a pinched nerve. Then I started having severe pain between my spine and right hip.Having experience with SportsMED, I contacted them to see a neurologist.I selected Dr Dixit because I was impressed with his experience. With a X-ray and MRI I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis.Dr Dixit explained the diagnosis and what was needed to correct my problem.Dr Dixit performed the needed surgery at Crestwood Hospital on June 26. When I woke in my room after surgery I realized my hip and leg pain were gone.Twenty two days after surgery I am pain free and making a great recovery!I am really impressed with the results of my surgery.I highly recommend Dr Dixit because of his training, knowledge and experience.He diagnosed my problem quickly, explained it in a way that I understood and I knew exactly what my surgery involved.Thank you Dr Dixit for correcting my problem. Being pain free is quite a blessing. In a few days I can resume my busy life.

My name is April. I’m 40yrs old and I have lived with severe back pain for over 6 years. I tried everything to ease the pain. I did physical therapy, used a TENS unit, massages and countless trips to the doctors for MRI’s. I was never one to take pain medicine but it got to the point where I broke down and started taking narcotics. I even had my regular doctor send me to a pain clinic. I was put on muscle relaxers, gabapentin, and Percocets. I then began receiving epidurals because I had bulging discs in my lower back that were sitting on my sciatic nerve. Yet that didn’t help. It got so bad that I was put on OxyContin along with the Percocet. Because of being on such a strong cocktail of drugs, I fell asleep at work and lost my job. I finally ask to see a surgeon even though I was terrified at the thought of having my back cut on. 3 weeks before I was to see the surgeon I had a stroke. Needless to say I was not able to make the appointment. So I had to wait about my back as I recovered from my stroke.I ended up changing pain drs, where they put me on a time release oxycontin plus Percocet.I was sent to a SportsMED for another epidural which did not help.Now I have a very high pain tolerance and have taken a lot of medication in my life due to having bad kidneys. That led me to having a high tolerance to drugs. Now I’m taking so much medicine that I’m sick of it and want off some of it. ESPECIALLY the pain medicine!After the last epidural did not work, I ask to see a surgeon. SportsMED set me up with Dr. Dixit, and I was VERY impressed with him. We went over my MRI and the medications I was taking. He couldn’t believe the cocktail of drugs I was taking. Dr. Dixit was afraid he would not be able to manage my pain after the surgery because of the high dosage of drugs I was on.He sent up the surgery for 2 weeks after my visit. Out patient surgery.On May 10 I was to have the disc removed that was causing my pain. He made a very small incision in my lower back. Now the disc was suppose to be spongy but in my case it had turned into a very hard calcium rock. This “ rock “ was causing all my pain.Once he broke the rock up and removed it he had to lift the sciatic nerve and massage it back to life.Once I woke up and was ready to leave I had to start wearing a back brace. I was given instructions to log in to a HealthLoop app so that Dr. Dixit and his team could keep in touch with me daily for the first few weeks and twice a week after that for a total of 6 weeks altogether.As of today it has been 3 weeks since my surgery and I can PROUDLY say I am NOT taking any pain medicine.I can not believe how much better I feel. I am truly grateful to SportsMED and Dr. Dixit and team for giving me my life back. I feel as if am able to do things that I have not be able to do in a long time. And I know now that I will be able to play with my grandchildren longer than I used to.If you are putting off this type of surgery because of fear, don’t! I know everyone’s body is different, but I can proudly say this surgery was and is worth it. I have been very happy with the care that I have received from Dr Dixit and his staff. My surgery is a complete success and they all have gone out of their way to make sure that I have everything that I need to heal properly.

The doctor was very professional but also friendly during both visits. he did not make me feel like he was in a hurry or wanting to get rid of me. His diagnosis and treatment recommendations were spot on and my problem resolved itself satisfactorily. I use SportsMed for all my ortho needs for myself as well as for my children in years past.

Very disappointed. My son was referred to Dr Dixit for Scoliosis that has been causing him pain over the years by our family doctor. My son also has Klinefelter’s which effects his bones but most doctors don’t know what it is. Apparently Dr Dixit only cares about doing surgery and behaved as if we were wasting his time by coming to see him. He actually got irritated that we were there. Made my son feel bad as if he had done something wrong. We did not even make the appointment with him. If our family doctor sent us to the wrong specialist that was not our fault. He made it very clear that he doesn’t care about you unless he’s going to perform surgery.

My experience has been excellent with Dr Dixit and his staff. From the moment I first talked to him to my most recent visit, Dr Dixit has made me feel like I am a person and not a patient. My first vist was when I knew he was my Dr. When Dr. Dixit came into the room he asked me what was going on with me. I started to tell him what I was told that my MRI said. He stopped me and said he does not fix MRIs, he fixes people. That right there told me he cared for me. Dr. Dixit at first was against doing surgery, but the more we talked he felt it was the best corse of action. On the day of my operation he came into my room and joked around first just to lighten the mood. On my follow up visits he has been the same way. Always keeping things light but business like. His staff is the same way. All that being said,Dr. Dixit and staff are great and I would tell anyone who needed neck surgery to go to him.

I would recommend Dr. Sanat Dixit and his very effecient team. I had very good results with all the treatments I received. Amy Becton was very professional and helpful with every visit I had to the office. Dr. Dixit acted honestly in his dignosis after my last evaluation.

Dr. Dixit and staff were very professional and timely. Surgery and recovery went smoothly during pandemic time. Only issue was insurance approval was not done early, but with a phone call from myself to insurance and some coordinating with staff, all went on as planned. Post op my neck and arm are much better, no pain and minimal numbness.
