We love Dr. Johnson and her staff. My kids have been patients of Dr. Johnsons for almost 14 years! Wait times have greatly improved.

I know there are a couple big pediatrician offices in the area that people are on wait lists for. I’m extremely happy to have found Dr. Johnson. This is absolutely not a fancy, modern, beautiful office. But, the quality of care is excellent. Dr. Johnson has actually called me to check on my daughter several times after seeing her. The nurses, office staff, and nurse practitioners are so sweet. At the end of the day, the quality of care is what matters most to me. We are happy.

Great Staff! The office overall has a tremendous wait time I say plan on overage spending 3 hours for your child’s appointment ( I feel like they over book and are outgrowing their location) .When you do get the opportunity to “see” the provider you spend extra time because they are bouncing between rooms.They really do care about children of all ages - I have had great relationships with them for the last 3 years it just seems they are getting too busy for giving the same standard of care as they used to.

Wait time is lonnnnnng even after making appointment...good doctors and nurses but the Wait time is getting longer and longer

Visited this practice for over two years. They decided to drop us due to me missing two maybe three appointments due to work. Being called in on short notice and me not thinking about oh I need to cancel my sons appointment, didn’t come to mind. Talk about loyalty. Be careful not to be a no show. They have no patient loyalty and plus the wait times are ridiculous and you’ll soon learn how much they actually care about your child. Wish I could leave 9 stars. There is one nurse there, a younger black lady is really nice but the doctor, yeah she just comes in and collects a check. Care about who are dealing with it. You are dealing with children and therefore you should act as such. Would not recommend!

Amazing doctors office! Fabulous nurses and support staff! Love all the doctors here! Cant say enough about them all. So grateful they are here for my kiddos!

When I was a kid they were always super nice and we never had a problem but now that I’ve put grown this place it’s been hell trying to get my medical records. I called to see what I needed to do to get them transferred, a staff member told me all I had to do was come in and fill out the paperwork. The next day when I arrived I was told a completely different story. The receptionist told me to drive all the way to my new doctor to fill out the form mentioned before. My new doctor is quite a bit away since I’ve moved recently. Naturally I get irritated and explain that I was told to come to their office to do the paperwork. The young lady argued with me for a good minute before getting snippy and handing me the form. She didn’t even provide a clipboard just a piece of paper. Once I fill out the form she says that they will charge me to release my records to myself. Again when I called the day before I wasn’t told any of this. So I asked the charge and they said .25 cents per page for the first 25 pages then a dollar for every other page. So once again I’m getting frustrated and she tells me to just write the new office and she will have them faxed there. I said thank you and left. This was 4 days ago. I have an appointment for my new doctors office tomorrow so I called just now to check if she actually faxed them over. The young lady on the phone at Over the Rainbow Pediatrics cut me off mid sentence to ask my date of birth. She then tells me that they MAILED them the day I came in. Now here’s the thing, there’s no way that my files will reach my new doctor before my appointment tomorrow. So I asked why mail them when she said she’d fax them?? To which she said, “the file was too big to fax”. I understand that but why wouldn’t you have called and told me or something along the lines. I’m going to have to reschedule my doctors appointment. The wait is gonna be a whole freakin month. Doctor Johnson really needs to put her staff in line cause this whole experience has just been terrible on their part. I’d give no stars if I could.

I love Dr Johnson. She always listens to you and overall cares for your child. The staff and nurses are just as nice. Im very happy with using them for my child...

Dr. JoAnn Johnson is a wonderful, caring, and conscientious doctor and person. When she comes into the room, she actually cares to listen to what both you and your child have to say. She makes you feel comfortable and that is very important to your child. I cant imagine taking my child to any other doctor but her.We truly love her and have a lot of respect for her. She is an awesome doctor.

I think Dr. Johnson is a great dr. Shes been very personable, takes her time with you and your child and is not a pill pusher.However, the wait time is ridiculous!! And when youre waiting 2 plus hours with a sick and fussy baby it really makes you never want to come back. Not to mention, that I am having to take a half of a day off of work to do so.With that said, I really wish they would use their time management skills a little better!

My family and I just moved to Huntsville and we were in the process of finding a pediatrician for my son that accepted tricare, but due to my son waking up throwing up this morning this was the first place we came across today that would accept tricare. I was at work today and my wife took our son to be seen. I had to get a power of attorney notorized today, so my wife could take our son, because she is the stepmom and needs a legal document to take our son to the doctor even though she raises him every hour of every day while I am at work. So on top of having to go through that process of getting the power of attorney the doctor’s visit was the worst, by far. My wife took him to be seen and after waiting 40 minutes after the appointment time to get into the room the doctor poked her head in the door and said, “so this isn’t your biological child right?” My wife replied “no.” In return the doctor essentially said that since she wasn’t the biological mother that she wasn’t going to waste her time to see them and delegated the duty to her practitioner. We WILL NOT be going back here and I would encourage anyone that has a stepchild not to take them here, because evidently if you are not the biological parent then you don’t count and your child’s health is not seen as a priority. There are plenty of other pediatricians in Huntsville and we will for sure be using ANYONE other than this poorly ran and inconsiderate office.On a side note: the Nurse Practitioner, Receptionist, and Nurse that took his vitals were nice and competent

I like the Doctors and the Staff however I do not like waiting in an office to been seen for 2 or more hours with an appointment. Everytime I come in, I have to sit and wait to been seen for almost 3 hours. It is incredibly time consumimg to come in at all. It is also hard to keep children busy that long when they are in a doctor office. They should really find a way to manage their time and patients better.

I love Dr. Johnson, I bring both of my kids to her. I trust her completely. Only complaint I have is the wait time but I dont care to wait when shes so good to my kids.

The lady at the front desk(Jordan)is very rude and they dont take walk in its in their policy. But what if you work all the time cant take off to make appointments. If you call they never answer thr phone or return phone calls.Really disappointed with tbis doctors office.

DISGUSTING! MRS JOHNSON! when I had my first child in huntsville hospital she was recommended to me by my husbands step moms sister my daughter was 4lbs ll she was a full term born at 40 weeks but she was tiny because me and her dad are tiny she ask me her exact words Do you have help at home, like a BABY DADDY OR SOMETHING? my husband had left to change clothes and take a shower......a baby daddy? like are you serious? yes she was because I am a young black woman she assumed Im not married and have a baby daddy I was 21 but I get people asking me all the time how old am i? I have a baby face but her comment was so disrespectful and disgusting I was tramatized after that when I had my daughter my daughter was losing weight she came in my room talking bout Im concerned I would like to have a social worker to talk with you...... WHAT??? I was heated come to find out my milk ducts was blocked in my breast and she wasnt eating she wasnt sucking hard enough I found all this out on my own I left out of there and never went back I dropped her immediately she is the most sickening person Ive ever met my daughter is two years old now and healthy and strong

My sons doctor! Love her, not the type of dr who is in and out. She takes the time to talk with the parent!
