I came here to check my eyes. It surprised me because of the technology they used and how professional they are.

I recently became a patient at Surf City Optometry which is by far the best eye care provider I have ever experienced. All of the equipment is state of the art and all of the staff are so courteous and friendly. Dr. Amy did and eye examination and Lina assisted me in choosing the perfect pair of Costa sunglasses that met my specific needs. Both employees were so professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They also went out of their way to make sure I was happy with their services. Thanks again Surf City Optometry and Im looking forward to many more visits.

Came here for the first time and it was the best service I ever had at the eye doctor. I have not had an eye exam for many years and my glasses broke so needed to get in for exam and glasses ASAP. They were very accommodating got me for exam and glasses on the same day. Talk about fast quick service. Surf City Optometry definitely has my vote.

The level of care given at Surf City Optometry is not like any other offices that I have been to. They are very informative and clear with what my insurance does and does not cover. I know exactly what expenses are required of me and the services here feel extremely premium. I just picked up my glasses and I love them, Looks and feels really PREMIUM. I think thats my favorite word now.

Hands down best eye doctors office I have ever been too. What is pretty amazing is they work with all the professional sports teams like the Rams and Angels. Wow. Everyone there was super knowledgeable and friendly as can be.

If I can give 10 stars I would. I came in as a first time patient because my eyes were so irritated and my previous optometrist said there was no way he would be able to see me the same day. I called Surf City Optometry and Lisa was able to get me in the same day. I am so glad I did since I had a really bad infection from my contacts. Just dropped by their office to get the antifog for my glasses and now my glasses does not fog up anymore. Yay. Everyone there was so nice and I love all their safety protocols to keep everyone safe.

Thank you Surf City Optometry! I came in because my glasses were getting fogged up with my mask and Jason was kind enough to demo a coating on it that helped prevent the fogging. The fog cleared up right away. I bought 4 of them because the price was so reasonable.

In the past, I have always seen Dr. Hamada or Dr. Dinh and when I scheduled my eye exam appointment, the day and time that worked for me didnt work for them. So I ended up seeing Dr. J and I DID NOT REGRET IT. He is soo funny and such a great doctor. Makes sense that he works for Surf City. Anyhow, now I am confident and put my trust with whichever Doctor sees me in this office. Theyre all knowledgable and have great personalities.

Great experience, cutting edge optometry! I live in Texas but lost my contact lenses while visiting friends in OC, and was fortunate to stumble upon this place. They took great care of me, and slightly altered my Rx. I prefer it to to what my Texas Doctor gave me!

They also carry a great selection of fashionable frames. I was very happy to have found the office and the fact that its just a couple of blocks from my house is definitely a plus.

I called prior to actually going in and described to the receptionist that the right lens of my glasses popped out, and was assured they could fix it. The tech was not so helpful and advised the glasses could not be fixed and I would need to purchase a new frame for $280. Even though my Spectera coverage allows for $130 for frames, he told me the frames he has in stock must be purchased at 20% off and my insurance would not apply. I went over to LVC Optometry and they fixed my glasses for free. Shop around!

This place is total rip off!!!! They lie and they are scam!!! First I showed our insurance that whether they cover or no they took 30 mins and called us bak that our insurance cover their optemetry...we paid 74 dollars as check for the copay .... ...They first accepted check for the payment then they called us next day and said that the check was bounced which was never bounced as my account had money to cover their check lol ..so they charged extra 20 dollars for bouncing accusition!Secondly they lied that insurance denied our claim when I asked them they said no insurance didnt deny but we want u to pay in cash and we dont want insurance to pay lol ..I asked them whose policy is this they said our office policy ...next I called my insurance which said the claim hasnt been filed yet frm optemetry ...then I called my bank they said check was never showed or deposited or bounced lol ..Jenn was the name of the person beware of her and this whole office ..in my mind , even doc here render the service which is not required as they took photos which wasnt required ....-and billedAlso Jenn harassed and threaten me to pay her cash of 150 rather than the copay which we already paid ..lol this place is most unprofessional......hopefully this review help ppl not getting trap by these liars and scam practice !!! Hopefully this place license is not fake :) good luck

DISHONEST ! Callous ! UNPROFESSIONAL !SAME problem as the other one star review ! They were unwilling to assist me on a simple repair and insisted that I buy a replacement frame for $400 . To the point of attempting to bully me . It was really weird and super unacceptable !THEN they were confrontational and sophomoric after I had just bought TWO pairs of $500 glasses .Its all peaches and cream when they are making the sale , but good luck if you have a problem once they are paid .I had them repaired that same day by CR JEWELERS on BEACH BL for $30 - those guys are IMPRESSIVE and compassionate in every way !
