This place showed me only very expensive designer frames. My insurance paid for regular frames. I was charged$600. When they broke, they didnt fix and to take to a jeweler. They ripped me off. Never again.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kevin Germundsen for a long time and he has ALWAYS taken care of me. He’s a great doctor and his staff are very nice. I’m very grateful that he’s been my eye doctor for over 15 yrs. He is very accommodating and so as his entire staff. If u need a great, helpful, and very nice eye doctor, he’s it!

The staff at Beachside Optometry has shown to have taken exceptional sanitary and safety precautions regarding Covid. I filled out my New Patient form before my appointment electronically in the comfort of my own home. When I arrived at the Optometry office, there was a big sign notifying you to call the front desk number (which was provided) before entering the office. They were quick to answer the phone and came out to escort me inside. Before doing so, I had my temperature checked and asked me covid related questions. They immediately brought me back to wash my hands with soap and water as a precaution and then had me wait in the lobby. Shortly after, I was seen by the tech who wiped down all equipment before and after use. She gave clear directions and helped guide me at every step. After that, I saw Dr. Kristi Germundsen who was incredibly professional and sweet. She was very patient with me during the examination and even showed me pictures that were taken. She thoroughly explained what she saw and made me feel very comfortable throughout the exam. I highly recommend her! Overall, the experience I had at Beachside Optometry was better than I expected. They were very sanitary and I felt safe while I was in the clinic. All the staff was very nice and knowledgeable. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Waiting room is very nice and I was seen at my appointment time. My eye exam was very thorough and Dr. Kristi Germundsen spent a lot of time making sure that my prescription would be correct. I also was provided an update for the condition of my eyes and how they reflect my general health including high blood pressure and diabetes. I was able to find some great frames and was out the door at a reasonable price.

All staff were very friendly and professional. The optometrist performed a thorough examination and provided a detailed explanation of all findings. I found the frames and lenses I want and should have them in about a week. I’ve been coming here for about 6 years and have always been happy.

I always receive the best customer service, but you did not check to see what my wifes insurance paid as well as mine. We have dual VSP insurance. My wife is Irene Turner. Please check to see . I believe you will need to credit me back some money. Also I was wondering what it would cost to have another pair of regular glasses if I supply the frame from an old pair.

If you need an optometrist, look no further. Everyone on the staff is friendly and professional. Most importantly, they take the time to accurately measure your prescription and eye health with all of the latest tools. This visit, I took my Dad for an exam. He has dementia and is hard of hearing. The team was great in working with him to get accurate results for his glasses. A++!

Dr. Janaye (sp) was awesome and so was all of the staff. The squeezes me in as an emergency becUse I had something in my eye and I was about to wash it out with a fire hydrant because it was driving me insane. They talked me down from the “something in your eye” insanity and were awesome. I didn’t have to wait and the Dr. was very helpful and informative and quite pretty. Which is a bonus but not why I am giving a 5 star review.

I only give reviews when I am blown away by excellence or incompetence. Sadly in this case its the latter. After years of tolerating errors in ordering my contact lenses, I have finally had enough. In the last 3 years, the staff at Beachside, while pleasant and usually smiling, have botched more of my contact orders than they have gotten right. They are always very apologetic, but that has worn thin. Less sorry, more accuracy! Today when I came in to the office, in response to a message telling me that my contacts were ready (contacts I had already paid for after my appointment 1 week ago) I was told there were no contacts and I had to have a follow up appointment. No explanation was given and no appointment had been scheduled at the end of my last appointment, 1 week earlier. I was told that the doctor wasnt sure about my prescription. Odd, I just had an exam and the tech took payment for a 6 month supply of lenses at the doctors advice at the end of my last exam. As usual, the staff began fumbling around, looking blindly at their monitors, avoiding offering me any information and flowing right into their routine of not knowing what went wrong but being terribly sorry. Then the doctor came out and for a few minutes, nodded like a bobble-head in a lab coat and said I would be frustrated too... Ive just had enough. If this were a car wash or a burger stand, I would laugh it off. But, these people are medical professionals and are responsible for my vision. Its no longer funny and I hope this review serves as a warning to anyone considering this place as their Optometrist. You have plenty of other local options... use them!

Had my first ever eye exam at Beachside Optometry. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor was very professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning there if I ever have eye issues again.

Friendly, knowledgeable, nice staff. Very well organized and well run business. The doctor explains what she is doing when she does it, and answers any questions you may have, in a manner which is easy to understand for the average person. They take your time with you so you dont feel rushed, but there are short wait times so you also dont feel like you are wasting time. Very current, updated technology and machines to run tests, etc. A+ all around.

OK, these people just inflate your bill to be so high, it is ridiculous. I went in with very good insurance and it did not even come close to covering everything they want to charge you for. Do NOT get the eye photo, if you have had it done in the last 5 years or even longer. The photo is the same for about 99% of all people. I could really go on, but the major problem is the wrong prescription for my eyes. As I write this, I cannot see. I have to go to another doctor to get the proper prescription. The contacts they sold me are nowhere near as good as the last ones, and I did ask for the same brand, but they said that they did not have it in that brand. I am unsure now if I believe them? They not only dont work, but so too fall out of my eyes, literally. So not going back.

Beachside Optometry has been taking care of my growing family for years back from when we were a small family and now have grown to a family of 6! Theres a lot more eyes to check! It always amazes me how easy it is to schedule appointments, confirm and get in and out quickly and the friendly staff they always have. They know what theyre doing wither you need glasses or not!

I saw Dr. Sekhon and she was great, super friendly. I had to choose between glasses or contacts . I chose to try a 4 week trial for contacts for a fee before making my decision. First time contact-user so Im glad they had this option. Went with the contacts and Im very satisfied. Placed my order and waiting for them to arrive at home.

This place is truly awesome! I came in to have my eyes examined, since I recently got medical insurance and its been about 16 years (last checked in elementary school)! ALL the staff was extremely friendly, smiling and helpful with my tons of questions. I was especially impressed Dr. Arboleda, she was super sweet, professional and kept me feeling at ease throughout the exam. When I went to check out, it turns out my insurance did not cover the exam, I initially panicked because I wasnt prepared to pay the full amount, plus the extra exam I had opted for. The front desk girl said I could make payments, it was very nice. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family in the area!!!

Thepeople here are so caring and amazing! From the doctors down to the receptionists, the energy there is so positive and upbeat. They really really care about me as a patient. They were so patient with me when I first got my contacts. Then, over time, they informed me that I was a candidate for Lasik. They set me up with a consultation with Nvision eye care and I got Lasik in one eye and lens replacement in the other. I had my follow up appointments with Beach Optomotry and I continue to see them for my eye care. After the surgery I had a little dry patch on my Rudy and they took me right in in the middle of a busy day. They gave me thick eye drops and the doctor gave me his cell phone number to call anytime if I continued to have discomfort. That is true caring. The best optometrist in the world!!!!!

More than six years ago my girlfriend recommended me to Dr. Germundsen and my experience has been nothing less than amazing. In addition to the professional office and excellent optometry Dr. Germundsen provides; this is must stop for anyone interested in the Lasik procedure.Long story-short; I have a challenging prescription and have worn glasses since the first grade. I never thought contacts would be a possibility for me... and now, thanks to Dr. Germundsen, I have nearly 20/20 vision. Even writing these words I don’t still don’t believe it.It is incredible to me the differences in approaches between doctors in general. One really needs to research every medical decision with care. “Thank you” is not enough to describe my experience. Dr. Germundsen goes above and beyond taking care of a person’s eyesight; he is a sincere human being who cares about the “whole health” of his patients. I recommend him and his staff without reserve.
