As usual the visit and work by Christopher Chan and his staff is a very positive experience. I broke a front tooth veneer. They were very quick to get me in and painlessly fix the tooth and provide a temporary and within 2 weeks I had the permanent one installed. Trina helped me get some insurance coverage that was initially declined, which was very nice! Dr Chan and his staff are great to work with. A nice experience.

Both assistant young women(Trina & Britney) treated me like family and Dr.Chan was the most thorough and caring exam Ive ever experienced. Im very pleased that my friend Bill recommended them because of his experiences with them. I am grateful !!!

Im a new patient at Dr Chan dentistry and I am very pleased. I had a veneer knocked off one of my teeth and Dr Chan replaced it without a crown that matches beautifully. I had my teeth cleaned with the hygienist, Rachel, today and Im so happy with how thorough and gentle she was! My teeth feel so clean; I love it! Rachel noticed a chip in my crown (guess I need to be more careful when eating popcorn and watch out for kernels!) I have total confidence in Dr. Chan to replace my crown and restore it to look natural and feel natural. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Always a pleasant visit every time!

I just visited Dr. Chan for the first time. My mother had recommended me a while back and I finally went in. Him and his team were amazing in every aspect! They genuine cared about my well being and did a great job taking care of my teeth. They were so incredibly thorough and I left encouraged by Dr. Chan because he gave me a game plan moving forward.Dr. Chan sat with me extensively and took the time to answer any and all questions. He is an amazing dentist and person. I cannot recommend this office enough!

Let’s start this review by putting a disclaimer out there. I hate going to the dentist and getting dental work done. (Really, I get so anxious I get the shakes) I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday and Dr. Chan and his staff made the experience the best it could’ve been. He took his time, checked on me frequently throughout the procedure and made sure I was pain free and okay the whole time. After the procedure, he took his time and showed me my teeth and my xrays and gave really in-depth directions for after care. This was also the first dentist I’ve found in while that uses laughing gas for adults. Very helpful for me! I have a lot more dental work to be done (still dreading it) but I’m so happy I finally found a dentist I trust.

Great experience during root canal. Had to sit in the chair for 2 1/2 hours but Dr. Chan, DDS was very competent and caring. He and his assistant were very mindful of how I was feeling. I’ve had old fillings replaced, crowns fitted, an implant to replace a missing tooth, laser gum surgery and teeth whitening to put right many years of me neglecting my teeth. Dr Chan and his team made me feel at ease every step of the way and using the latest technology and professional skill have not only fixed my teeth but given me improved general health as a result. Friends are already giving positive comments on my new smile!

Visited Dr. Chan’s office for teeth cleaning & x-Rays and the first exam. I found this office Is run efficiently, while staff are all very attentive. Jody at the front desk has been welcoming, respectful and caring every time I had a chance to interact with her. Hygienist (Jinky) was very thorough and gentle. The office seems (I am not an imaging technology expert) to be equipped with state of the art imaging systems, and I really liked the fact I could see all the images from x-rays and photos on the huge screen in front of me in the treatment room as we took them. Dr. Chan was very approachable and took time to get to know me, to examine my conditions, to listen my primary concerns and to answer various questions. He then explained the issues using the images. The explanation of his strategy made such a good sense that it was easy for me to make decisions right away. Figuring out the costs and making appointments was very easy thanks to Jody’s efficiency. If you do not have a lot of free time to spare and want to be treated as a person (not as a file), I would highly recommend checking out Dr. Chan’s office.

I have worked in the medical field for over seventeen years and I can say this is a professional office. The office seems to be well maintained and clean. Their equipment seems advanced and well maintained. I would recommend this office to others. Parking is available. They also provide text reminders of appointments - very convenient.

Staff is nice and caring, but every time Dr Chan filled a tooth, I had issues with pain when flossing. His recommendation was to do a root canal! Seriously? Even other dentists said there are less dramatic solutions. I also had pending according to him to do 4 fillings on the left bottom (not after the pain-when-flossing issues!). When I switched dentists, the new dentist said no fillings were needed there! I was flabbergasted! I conclude that Dr Chan does fillings before they are needed, and this is not the type of dentist I want! The new dentist also educated me about the tooth next to the implant would probably not last 10 years and gave advice on how to take care of it to prolong its life, after which Ill need a bridge (ugh!). After I learned about the unnecessary fillings, I switched my son to the new dentist also.

Been coming here for past 3 years. Ive had cleanings and filler replacements. Dr. Chan does great work and very friendly. He always stops by to take a quick check up on you (and your teeth) if youre only coming in for a cleaning. It makes me feel that he cares. The miss that cleans your teeth does marvelous work. Very attentive and gentle. She doesnt rush through the process and virtually painless.Id recommend Dr. Chan to all my friend that needs teeth cleaning or work done on them.

I have used Dr. Chan for over 5 years for all my dental concerns and Ive had a lot of different things happen with old teeth so he has had plenty of opportunity to demonstrate a wide variety of skills. I am extremely satisfied with the high level of care and expertise that he exhibits.He keeps with up with the latest technology and because of that it has been very beneficial to me. He has implemented laser techniques in his office which make it so many of the procedures used for me are less painful and recovery is considerably faster than when using old procedures. I am very grateful that he is my dentist!

Dr. Chan has been my dentist for the last few years after realizing that I’ve been getting unnecessary services that weren’t all that great which were also overpriced at another office. Dr. Chan and his hygienist Rachel were amazing with my 3 and 5 year olds. It was both of their first time seeing a dentist and they made the experience full of fun, laughter, and patience. They can play YouTube videos during their cleaning, but they are so quick and engaging that the videos weren’t even needed. I strongly recommend them for your children.

Dr. Chan continues to impress. I’ve always liked how he’s so on top of his continuing education; it makes me feel like I’m getting the most current procedures and techniques done on my teeth. You can tell that he cares about his work and strives to provide the latest technology and equipment for his patients.Recently, he used a LASER to fill my cavities and it was completely PAINLESS!! I didn’t even have to get numb with any shots. No needles were used whatsoever. The best part about it was that I could eat immediately afterwards and not have to wait for any numbness to wear off. It was as if I hadn’t gotten any dental work done at all. That’s how amazing it was!My husband went in to see Dr. Chan a few days later and got some laser work done, as well. He’s always biting his lip or cheek whenever he eats and it creates this bump, which unfortunately, takes forever to get better since he keeps re-biting that bump! Luckily, Dr. Chan was able to use his laser to flatten the bump. My husband said the procedure was completely painless, as well.Dr. Chan’s new laser technology is pretty awesome. It’s just one more reason we continue to go to his office. The friendly staff and competent hygienists are definitely a plus, too!

I had an older doctor for many years and started to feel his work was not up to snuff. When I switched to Dr Chan I realized a huge difference. Doing Xrays not by the old tube method brought out many issues not being caught by my dentist. Having laser work done also was a huge difference compared to my old dentist.

My experience at Dr Chans has been wonderful. I started having a lot of pain and was on the verge of losing my tooth. Luckily Dr Chan was able to detect the problem other doctors missed! He was able to save my tooth with a crown which by the way looks very natural, I cant even tell it apart from my natural teeth. I was so disappointed at my previous dental office because he never diagnosed it. I am now pain free and very thankful I found such a great office.

Ive had such a great experience at Dr. Chans. Everyone from the receptionist, the hygenists to Dr. Chan himself are great. They make it a very enjoyable experience. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I love my dentist! When do you ever hear that? Not only are Dr. Chan and his staff super friendly, they are very knowledgeable, accommodating, and helpful. Ive had many dentists throughout my life, and by far these guys are the best! Besides my regular cleanings, Ive had minor and major work done, from fillings, root canals, and an implant done. All the work has been great, no problems, and as painless as they can make it. I will say he is the best at giving novocain shots. The office is great, with large monitors to watch videos, see your x-rays, and even headphones to listen to your favorite pandora station while they work. My last favorite thing is that Dr. Chan always takes time to catch up with you, he recently came out in the waiting area and asked about my upcoming wedding. Its those little things that make Dr Chan and his staff not just a really good dentist office, but a great office with great people.

Dr Chan and his assistants are amazing. I had a dental emergency, and I’m from out of town. They squeezed me in on EXTREMELY short notice, and dr Chan spent a great amount of time in diagnosis/analysis. He’s got the 3D imaging. I needed a tooth pulled, and it was a bit stubborn. Dr Chan finessed that thing out with the gentlest amount of pressure. I experienced no pain. Dr let me know what was going on every step of the way. Great teamwork between assistant Jody and the dr, especially during the bone graft and stitches. Quick, precise, skillfull work. Roughly 30 hours out now, and I have no pain. What a wonderful gift one must have to put a persons pain away!! Thank you dr and Jody for getting me in and fixing me up. I’m so very grateful.

Dr. Chan is the best dentist Ive been to in 20 years, and believe me, Ive been to many. When I moved up to LA, I tried out a few dentists near my neighborhood and work. But, none of them were as trust-worthy, gentle, and caring as Dr. Chan. Thats why I keep doing the commute back down to the OC to see him and his hygienist. Dr. Chans office is worth it!!First, the level of service is superb. Dr. Chan only sees one patient at a time, so youre not having to wait in the reception room or in the dental chair for a long time, reading the latest copy of some magazine; and, he makes sure that he gives you his full, undivided attention.Dr. Chan has really high standards and always takes his time to work on you. In the 6 years that Ive been with his office, I never felt that he rushed through anything or skimped on anything because he had to move on to the next patient. In fact, one time I was at the door about to leave, but I felt that my tooth wasnt feeling exactly level. Dr. Chan welcomed me back to the chair and adjusted it a bit more until it was perfect and I was satisfied.His entire staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. This includes the receptionist, assistant, hygienist, and Dr. Chan himself. All of my visits have been really pleasant because everyone is up-beat and they all know what theyre doing/talking about.The quality of work is beyond excellent. Ive never had a crown that needed to be re-done or a filling that came out, yet (knock on wood!) The color-matching of my crowns and fillings have been completely natural; you wouldnt even know its a crown or filling!The office uses the latest technology and equipment. X-rays are immediately visible on a huge tv screen in front of you, so you can see exactly whats going on. Also, they have this neat x-ray machine where you can see your entire jaw (and wisdom teeth, if you have any) and this other hand-held camera where you can see snapshots up-close of your teeth and gums. Its really helpful to see the images on such a big screen so that you can see why you would need certain work done or not.Lastly, Ive never had any billing issues. My insurance is run through and I only pay the expected out-of-pocket co-pay/deductible and nothing more.Even though I couldnt find a good dentist nearby my new home, its refreshing to know that Dr. Chans office is down in the good old HB and Ill definitely be continuing to go there for many years to come!
