I was referred to Simply Swank by a friend and it was the absolute best haircut I’ve ever had!I saw Val and she was incredible. She is beyond knowledgeable about curls and coils. She took her time educating me, asking me lots and lots of questions to figure out what I was hoping to do and my long term hair goals. She made sure she addressed all my questions/hair issues.I typically need a few days for my hair to settle after a cut to see how it is, not with this cut. I walked out of the salon absolutely loving what she did. I wish I needed a cut more often, can’t wait to go back!

Very pricey for poor quality. Not worth the money in my opinion. Went the first time for a cut...well done. Second visit for color...terrible color. Highlights were orange but hair not terribly damaged. 4 months later went for haircut....same person, not the same cut as original...disappointed but felt I could give her one more chance with a color. HUGE mistake! 4 hours, toner , orange hair and couldnt be more dry. Will go to Great Clips before I went back to this salon even if it were free. Perhaps some of the higher or highest paid cosmetologists are worthy but not the one I got. This last cut and color will take me a year to recover from and my hair grows fast.

I get so many complements on my hair, I started keeping my stylist Vals cards in my purse to hand out! As an Aveda salon. I feel they are always up on new trends and techniques. Plus, its a no tipping salon, so the price is the price! The spa is also very nice. If you are looking for a new salon, you wont be disappointed here!

Simply Swank is simply delightful! A wonderful salon to visit to feel beautiful and respected by their stylists. Since its an Aveda salon, I expected the prices to be pretty high, but all of their services are fairly priced. Ashley Stone is my hair stylist there and always does a phenomenal job and is so personable. I will be a client here for a long time!

I’m a super picky person when it comes to my hair. I’ve been with my stylist for 5 years, whom is not employed at this salon, I have never visited anyone else in that time frame, for any service... then on NYE I made a last minute decision and came in to Simply Swank. Amanda not only was super pleasant, but she cut my hair exactly how I wanted, especially taking her time blending the layers and styling it, the loose waves stayed in all night. Don’t get me wrong, I love my stylist and will continue to see her, but now know if I ever need, I can stop by Simply Swank and get as amazing of a service as I would at my regular place!!!

I have long hair. The first time I got my hair done I loved it!! She did continually talk about how she used to have long hair, how much she loves it short and that I should try it; I told her no thank you. Second time that I went to get my hair done I was facing the mirror. I asked for a trim. She continuously tried talking me into short hair. Again, I said no. After she was done I looked at the back and it was almost to my shoulders! My hair was almost down to my waist before Mrs. Swank got her hands on my hair!!! I will NEVER go back!!! If I could give negative stars I would!

I have always had an awesome experience at Simply Swank!! My hair always looks great and I leave feeling pampered. As wonderful as my hair looks I think the salon greatest feature is their attention to customer service. A quality I think is getting harder and harder to find. Mallory, Tatum and Monica are attentive and helpful. I honestly can not remember who referred me to your place. It might have been a rave review online. I drive from Cortland, OH to get my hair cut. That says it all!!!

CAUTION. 90min service wont be 90min! When I booked my appointment I was told a 90min facial was 90min of a facial, with more time spent on each phase, including the masks, massage, etc. 60min later I was shocked to find out the service was over, with exactly 60min spent on the facial. The remaining 30? My appt started at 245, and ended at 405. I was given an extra 10min to dress and pay...!! The salon alloted 90min for the appt and 60min for the service. Yes, they gave my feet a wash (what?) But the remaining 25min were spent walking to the room, undresssing, redressing, and consulting. Total bs. And Ive been to enough salons and services over the years to know this isnt how its done. I did confront them on this, and they said bc the products were all used thats what Id pay for. Again, I was told the 90min facial was the SAME as the 60min, but with longer duration. THIS was a complete lie. Pretty upsetting bc the service itself was nice, staff good, facilities nice. Dont plan on ever going back.

I love Simply Swank. I drive from south western Indiana (500 miles) to have my hair styled/cut/colored by Patrick. (Admittedly, my daughter lives close to SS) Patrick always does/knows what I want but makes suggestions too. I have never been disappointed there, and love the Aveda products too. My favorite salon.

Customer of Simply Swank for 5 years. Excellent service from all of the stylists. They take time to talk about your style first. Not the typical meet you at the shampoo bowl and then start cutting your hair. Do to schedule conflicts, Ive worked with a number of the stylists for cut and color. All are excellent. This makes it easy to recommend the salon and not only one stylist.

I always have such a positive feeling when I am at Simply Swank. From my initial greeting by the receptionists to the finish of my services. My stylist, Patrick always walks me to the front desk. He is very attentive to making sure my experience is the best it can be. Now that I have found Simply Swank and especially Patrick I have no desire to be lured away by any other salon, regardless of coupons or specials.

Very relaxing place. I walked in stressed, but they pulled off a lovely facial and it certainly was a happy ending!

I was disappointed in my visit. I made the appointment because the salon came recommended and I specifically wanted a new hair style. I explained in detail to the receptionist that I needed a change. When I made the appointment I also explained that I had some white hair and that I would need ash coloring so it didn’t tint red. I’ve had problems before but never this badly and certainly not when warning both the receptionist and the stylist. I also ended up with a rash where I was waxed. I was not impressed with the hair cut or the makeup application I had scheduled. You might carefully inquire about specific stylists and experts before you schedule here. They offered to have the same stylist fix my hair but I decided not to return. I would rather not risk any more wasted time as I have a full time job and children.

The front desk staff are quite helpful, and very friendly. I really enjoy the variety of Aveda products they sell, and with the ads that are in various publications, you can get a deal on these amazing products! I plan on being a customer of this salon for a long time!

Ive always had a good experience all 3 times Ive been there. However the only issue I have is scheduling. I once made an apt in early October, was told it would be later that week, only to go in and be told it wasnt for another week or so. The lady told me that the girl who scheduled me must have been looking at the wrong calendar. Simple mistake, I live right down the street so it wasnt a big issue for me. However it happened again, made an apt earlier in the week, was told it would be today, and when I called to double check, got told again it wasnt for another week. Instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding regardless of whos error it was (mine or the lady who made the apt) , the lady on the phone was pretty snobby about it and said well Im pretty sure they wouldnt of scheduled you this week.. Were very busy... First rule of customer service, the customer is always right. Maybe I misheard her telling me it wouldnt be another week, either way, you do not get snobby with paying customers, a simple sorry for the misunderstanding wouldve been just fine.

She learned to cut hair at hudson high school vocational program - and has been employing people while working in hudson ever since. Facility of choice for a couple of friends to have their nails, hair, or message. Wonderful back story, great facilities, well managed

Bad reviews are deleted so this site is not accurate. Its called a no tip salon, but then they suggest gift cards to show stylists and workers who wash your hair appreciation. It ends up adding twenty five to forty dollars to the already expensive price. If you dont provide this alternative to a tip, you can expect less friendly treatment. Many friends and I have stopped supporting this business for such a manipulative business model.

My stylist, Mallory, is fabulous. She would be 5 stars. The service staff always seems either confused, not trained or like you arent a priority. Mixed feelings about the whole thing. The salon decor is nice.

Outstanding. Highly professional, yet home town friendly. No guessing about what to tip, as they do not accept tips. Wonderfully organized, and stylists do what you ask of them, although they are also willing to make suggestions.

After looking for an Aveda salon nearby, I was lucky enough to find Simply Swank! I went to Lyndi for my color and LOVED it! I had very dark hair. She was so patient with me and gave me beautiful highlights! I will definitely be back. The salon is beautiful too!!

The service is the only reason Im giving it two stars instead of one. I was a first time client looking to get a shellac manicure. The staff was great, very friendly and hospitable. However, the manicure was not the best. The polish seemed fine when I was there but once I got outside I noticed that the color was not even at all. Much darker in some areas than other. And then after just one day the polish started chipping. Ive gotten shellac manicures many times in the past and they usually last 10-14 days. This one lasted less than 24 hours.

I have been going to Simply Swank for four years now for pedi and Manicures. I usually have my appts scheduled for the whole year. Every once in awhile the schedule needs tweaked due to my schedule or whoever I am scheduled with. Last time I had my manicure I was ready to tell the manicurist to have someone just finish for her. Becky was who was doing my nails. She was in a very bad mood, not unusual. She has a history of not paying attentions to cuticles. I should not have to ask to have my cuticles pushed back and clipped. Normal part of any mani. Then when she finished first coat, she was mad there was not enough polish to do second coat. Feel she should of known that from when she started with Polish and how she had to keep moving it to get more polish. Usually when you go to a salon u go to relax. This was definitely not a relaxing day. If you are going to work with the public then you need to be a ppl person. If you are in a bad mood the manicurist needs to leave it at home. Remember if we won’t schedule with you, you don’t get paid.

My stylist at Simply Swank is a truly fabulous colorist. Im older and my roots grow in completely gray, but the brunette color and highlights she applies look so natural that people often dont even realize my hair is dyed. It takes at least ten years off my apparent age. The price is considerable, but its a worthwhile investment in looking my best. I also like the fact that Aveda products are safe and well-formulated.To be honest I wouldnt risk going anywhere else. Im not the only one; my stylist is so popular that I have to book my appointments with her months in advance. On the rare occasions shes been away and Ive had another stylist, theyve all been fine, but shes the best.The overall salon experience is quite pleasant, with a nicely decorated space, coffee/tea or Perrier and cookies, and free wifi. The staff are friendly, courteous, respectful and professional. There is a small dressing room where I change into a comfy smock, so there is zero risk of getting hair dye on my clothing.You can also stock up on Aveda supplies--including travel sizes-- at the shop in the front waiting area. Samples (dispensed into little containers) are sometimes available if you want to try out a product at home before you buy.

I have been coming to the salon for a few years for my mani/pedis with Candace. I have NEVER been disappointed with anything she has done to my nails. She is very friendly and always takes the time to see what colors will work, etc.... The receptionists and everyone else there are so friendly as well. Love this salon and the atmosphere. Just a FYI book early shes hard to get into!!! LOL Thanks for what you do Candace. :)
