They try really hard to feed the community. They needed to make changes in hours due to Covid. They are run mostly by volunteers. Everyone there has been nice. I drop people off and donate vegetables.

They have such good food there and fresh too... And if I have to change my appointment cuz I cant get a ride.. they do it without a problem... Its like going to a regular grocery store.... GREAT PLACE... THANK U FOR ALL THAT U DO...

I truly Nothing but thankful for the volunteers this stock the shelf for the staff thats caring and compassion for the people. Everybody has life situations that happen and nobody ask is nobodys business why youre there . They are nothing but helpful and generous I give so much gratitude and thanks to the volunteers that work the food banks all over the world and so much gratitude for the people that donate to the food banks all over the world because when we all gathered together we can help each other. I have been Coming to the this food bank for a year now . And I always leave with my heart so overly filled with gratitude and thankfulness. I just was so more thankful they let me know that I have a child that I can have a Easter basket . My heart was filled with so much joy in tears because the basket that was on the shelf A basket full of pokemon cards stuffed animals whoever made this basket was so kind and generous. I just wanna give a big shout out that when my son sees this basket hes gonna be so happy but Im gonna let him know you think the person that made this happen it was a very generous donated item so we give thanks to the Lord.

If it wasnt for that Gleaners food bank dont know what we would do some months they help a lot of people out very grateful to them also very grateful for all the donors the help Gleaners donate to us thank you to Gleaners and all the people the donate to Gleaners that help the families out thanks again

Great resource for those in need of food. Volunteers are wonderfully helpful

I have volunteered at least ten hours at the Gleaners Howell location and a total of twenty hours with the organization as a whole. The Howell distribution center is great, they pick up food from various locations such as grocery stores, sort, put on shelves in their grocery-style pantry, host events, build all-ingredient included recipe and birthday packages for children of both sexes. Since, it is also a distribution center, they also distribute to other organizations and pantries across South-East MI. The entire Gleaners organization is mostly ran or most work is done by volunteers, which I had noticed long-term volunteers represented the few employees due to a meaningful impact on them over the years with Gleaners. Check this place out if you are struggling with obtaining food and/or want to aid in struggles almost every American will at least once face (either insecurity of food, finance, residence, etc.). Food makes an impact, if not directly aiding with providing food, I am sure they can link people to other resources to facilitate positive changes.

When in need, this is THE place to go. Set up like a grocery store and run smoothly and efficiently. Wide variety of produce and baked goods which have no quantity limit. Meats, dairy, and dry goods, even pet foods and toiletries available.Call first to set up an appointment as they are very busy every day and schedule only a couple people every half hour.

I have volunteered at Gleaners Food Bank for 5 years... always on Thursday. I love it and it is very rewarding to be able to help families and individuals.

I feel so blessed to have been introduced to this organization. It frees up money for bills!
