Everyone there is very knowledgeable and friendly. They also had a pretty good selection of glasses. Their eye scan equipment is much more advanced than the Howell Walmart. Ill be back..

I’ve been going here yearly since moving to the Howell area 5 years ago and highly recommend Primary. I see Dr. Conrad and he’s always been very thorough and open to any any/all questions and concerns I might have. The office personnel and eyewear technicians are top notch in every way.

Being my first time getting an eye exam, I was nervous and unsure of what to expect; but everyone from the initial phone call, to scheduling, to the doctor, and then picking out frames was so kind and helpful. I felt comfortable, taken care of, and that I was important to the doctor and all of the staff. I highly recommend Dr. Conrad, he is personable and explains everything so well. And the Howell office team is great!

This office has really changed over the last few years and I would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a new eye doctor. The whole team is professional,friendly and expedient in care from.tje moment you walk in the door. The 2 providers are extremely professional and take time to talk about Amy problems or concerns we may have.

Love the staff and quick ability to get me in and ability to work with my school and work schedule. The doctor was friendly, asked about my kids, explained in detail why my eyes were straining so I new what was happening. Best eye doctor I’ve had, plus my kids love Dr. D!

Building was easy to find. I did not have to wait long at all for my appointment. Staff was very friendly and informative. I will definitely be back!

I have been to many eye doctors in the Canton, Ypsilanti and Plymouth area.After moving to Howell I was lucky enough to find Dr Joe Conrad through a referral. He is the very best eye doctor I have ever been to. I am an engineer by experience and Dr joe explained how good my eyes are by a numbered scale so I could easily understand it. Also his process is completely painless with no eye puffs. His manner and professionalism is top notch.

I do not recommend Primary Eye and Vision! First off several times I tried to pick up my contacts at times they are listed as “open” and they are in fact not open. Lainey has no customer service skills. I arrived for my appointment and it was FREEZING inside and I asked to get my jacket from my car quickly and she was all rushed and said no we had to get back to the exam room only for me to WAIT (freezing cold) for a good 5-10 minutes and then the doctor came in and mentioned that their computers were down (no fault of theirs). However knowing this, Lainey could have probably spared me 1 minute to grab my jacket from my car. She also does not listen to her patients. They have a new machine to take a picture of your entire eye and she was trying to find me in the system and I told her I had not had this done before and she insisted I had. She had to call the doctor in and FINALLY he listened and had the technical “problem” fixed within a second. Lastly, they charge you a 75.00 contact lens “fitting” fee that insurance does not cover. Maybe this charge is legitimate the first time you order a certain pair of contacts but when you order the same kind of contacts two years in a row why is this necessary?! Also I do not recall any other vision place having this charge. I will NOT be returning to this establishment.I would only give one star but I do like Dr. Conrad so 2 stars it is.

My experiences at Primary Eye and Vision Care have been superb! My family has a history of vision issues and therefore I was acutely aware of the importance for my children to be seen by an optometrist. I was pleased that both my 1 year old daughter and my 5 year old son could be seen by Dr. Conrad. His knowledge and ability to evaluate each of them made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision to have my children tested. Both of my kids left the exam smiling and happy. Thank you Dr. Conrad for your thoroughness and helpfulness to our family!

Visited this office for the first time today. I was very impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. I found the prices to be fair for things not covered by insurance (opto image, contact lense fitting fee). Dr. Conrad was super helpful in getting me into new contacts and didnt push a particular brand like other doctors Ive seen. A++ See you next year (or when I pick up my glasses and contacts).

We had our first appointment with Dr. Conrad in early July 2012. The office is very clean and comfortable and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Aside from the excellent service and demeanor of the doctors and staff, the best part of going to Primary Eye is that they have great equipment and updated technology!The machines are linked to WiFi and send your personal results on the vision tests straight to the doctors tablet, which you can then view while he explains (in personalized detail) what the tests mean. Thanks to this awesome technology, I was able to see a picture of the inside of each of my eyes! Very cool!I would recommend Primary Eye and Vision Care to anyone. Great patient care, attention to detail, and caring, concerned professionals. A+ experience! Worth the trip from Lansing.

The doctors and the staff are wonderful. They are friendly and efficient. I have taken my children to see them and they are great with kids.

Im very disappointed in the service that I received today. While my sons eye exam seemed good, I would not recommend this office based on the office staff. After ordering and paying for a new pair of glasses (and exam), I was told Id need to pay an additional $25 to receive his pupilary distance. I was under the impression this was part of the exam that I had paid for the week prior. At any rate, my family will be receiving eye exams elsewhere and I can not recommend this office to anyone until this policy changes.

Waited till I almost flunked my drivers test to see Dr Joseph. His exam and prescription had amazing results. My eyes could see twice as far as I was use to. There was a problem with a finish on my glasses and he replaced them free of charge. Couldnt recommend him more.

This practice uses retinal photos/tests that are not required by and therefore not paid for by insurance companies. When I expressed that I didnt want to pay for these tests and asked if I could just get an eye exam, I got the run around! Avoid unless you enjoy paying for unnecessary tests out of pocket!!!!

At first I thought Dr Conrad was knowledgeable but after my exam, when my new lens werent working, I was given a hard time as thou it were all in my mind.After much persuasion , I was given a refund. I took his prescription to Costco with the same results. I then went to Walmart and got a new exam which showed different results than Conrads.My new glasses from Walmart were immediately perfect. Bottom line, Dr Conrads script was incorrect!I want to clarify, Dr Conrads actions should not reflect on his partner (another Dr within the company), nor the staff in any way. His staff members were great. Normally I dont write reviews but didnt want anyone else to have to go thru what I did. Especially the older folks I saw there as patients who may not be able to speak up for themselves!

In my recent experience and opinion, for the most qualified, personalized care and finest eye wear, Primary Eye and Vision Care in Howell, has a superior and excellent rating.

Very professional and extremely knowable. I love the fact that they use the newest technology on the market.
