Southside Pharmacy is the worsts pharmacy that I have ever encountered. They have horrible customer service and they never have any supervisors available to assist you when you have a concern or complaint. The staff is extremely rude. After addressing an issue with a customer service representative, I was “guaranteed” a call from a supervisor. That was 4 days ago! To date no one has returned my call.Based on the the reviews posted, CEO and or Administrator of Southside should investigate the operation of pharmaceutical services.I did not choose Southside Pharmacy, it was my dr who recommended them for convenience. They rarely delivered medication on time or someone would tell you your medication was not in stock and next someone else would tell you it was in stock. This pharmacy is poorly run and it’s staff could use training in customer service and language.I had to do what was best for me and that meant doing business with a more reputable pharmacy. This pharmacy doesn’t even deserve a one star rating, but I had to give a one star so that my review could post.Trust me stay away from this pharmacy! You’ll be very aggravated by their service and callous attitude.

A person who doesn’t understand English shouldn’t be answering the phone. I’m a disabled veteran with sever back injury and had a recent foot surgery at Texas orthopedic Hospital. I was at the hospital when I called Southside Pharmacy to see if they take my insurance and told the person I have an Rx for a knee scooter. She said we moved and gave me an address in Bellair TX. I got there then I had to walk with the crutches a quite a distance from my car to the elevator then to 7th floor then walk more to the inside of the pharmacy. When I handed them my Rx they told me that’s not here and I needed to go back where I was near the hospital. This has caused me so much pain in my back and foot to walk all this distance then back then go somewhere else to walk some more because a person answering the phone didn’t either understand basic English or doesn’t know her job. So I get back to the location the second location sent me to and I of course gotta move again using the crutches and when I hand them the Rx they tell me oh no, Medicare don’t cover this!!! Seriously after I talked to someone on the phone and they said yes they cover it and after I make it to the wrong location and I tell them everything and they didn’t say Medicare don’t cover it they just said you’ll need to go back to the other location for the scooter!!!! What kind of backwoods voodoo pharmacy do y’all run? No one knows their job and get people going back and forth for no reason!!!! If my doctor wanted me walking so much he’d have told me. Worst experience in my life. Do not go there if you value your time and your dignity.

Have been waiting for an Infusion prescription since July 12th. And now they have it one minute and it will be delivered, then they dont have it in stock the next minute , but will be delivered on that next day after it arrives.....lies and no one can give me an idea of when I will really get my infusion medicine! WORST PHARMACY EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

If you work there and are black, they do not treat you properly. Even with their own darker complected people the treatment is visibly different. Would never grace this place with my presence again.

It is nice that they are a specialty pharmacy. However, they have turnover and are not all on the same page as if they dont look at the patients notes. Im glad to have another specialty pharmacy option; however, when my RX was filled by another pharmacy, and I didnt understand why this happened, I wasnt treated as well as Id would have hoped to be treated. I told people on three different occasions to check with the Doctors office. My doctors office canceled the script with them and I still received a phone call for the next refill payment. The representative I spoke with did apologize; however, Im not sure why there is so much turnover there. So, Id say there are pros and cons.

I get infusions every eight weeks of my medication and when I called today to confirm my appointment for today, since no one there had so yet, the representative told me that they had “dropped the ball” in scheduling my appointment. So now I have to wait another week, after already taking time off work today, for my next infusion. The guy on the phone was very apologetic and tried to help the best he could, so I’m not upset with him, but this absolutely could have been avoided! I don’t understand how a company could be so careless in regards to their patient’s health!

I tried to order a breast pump through these guys. Even though they are certified through BCBS but they will make you pay the deductible to get medical equipment even if is it covered by Blue Cross. They will also require medical records for absolutely no reason.I would never recommend using this pharmacy for anything. Completely disorganized. For medical supplies use Byram Healthcare instead. Took me 5 minutes to order ,0 cost and offered free shipping.

They were very helpful with locating a wheelchair for my Mother and worked with us to get the best deal with the insurance company. Even though we do not live near them any longer, we still drive across town because of the service we received.Much better than the other location that we had used for a long time.

If I could give this review zero stars, I would do so in a heartbeat! Although the initial issues did get resolved by upper management, the problems have continued over the last 9 months. There is obviously a disconnect between upper management and pharmacy staff that is ongoing. These are only SOME of the issues that are ongoing. Refills not being delivered on time, old orders still being printed on updated prescriptions, inept techs who dont bother to call doctors for refills or prior authorizations (with the exception of Apruvia, who seems to be the ONLY competent person on staff, did try her best but its just too much), claims that new orders were never received from doctors (even though we verified with the doctors office SEVERAL times and can produce MULTIPLE confirmations that they were sent).A number of our medications need to be compounded. I can count on one hand how many times they have compounded our medications accurately, despite the doctors orders being very specific on how to compound said medication.I dont understand how or why a pharmacy can stay in business and function under these conditions. It is impossible to have to literally babysit these people just to make sure our medications are delivered accurately and in a timely manner. We have switched to another pharmacy because this cant go on any longer. Southside Pharmacy has had MORE than enough time and chances to make things right. We are done.

I work for a pharmacy and called to inquire about 2 medications a member needed though could not receive due to flooding in Houston. I was placed on hold, then, hung up on after a minute. I called back, they hung up, AGAIN! Then, a 3rd time. Shame on them! This is NOT the time to be petty if another pharmacy calls to assist a patient who cannot receive meds due to flooding. Shame, Shame, Shame on this staff. Petty and unprofessional.

Horizon pharm transferred my prescription to this pharmacy two weeks ago and I still haven’t received my medication. I’ve called to check on the status and I’ve been told by numerous individuals that it’s “getting delivered to my house”.I finally gave up and called my local pharmacy to transfer it. And now they can’t find the package that they “allegedly filled”.This is by far the worse pharmacy company I’ve ever dealt with. Thankfully the doctor gave me sufficient samples to hold me over.Don’t use this company if you need important medicine!!

In store service is great however I think service should be great no matter if it’s in person or over the phone. Their phone services are horrible and it doesn’t seem like they take priority to help the client to get the medication on time. Over the phone they really don’t care about your needs at all. Someone needs to get these pharmacists trained on how to treat customers with respect wether we get the meds free or at charge. On my next review I will have to start adding names of the people who take my calls maybe the managers will be aware of their unprofessionalism this way

I was only a customer to this point just to get my mump willed. But I sent an e-mail with a question. I received a call back within 24 hours and answered all my questions. They also called thinking I needed my meds now. This is a company I will do ALL my business with and since I have over 20 meds. I will trust them 100%. Pass the word a pharmacy where you are a person and not a number.

Had my Rx for 2 days & no one had contacted me for further information (I called & gave them my contact & ins info). When I called & told them I needed it filled ASAP, was told I would have to wait more days! The prescription was an anti itch medication.....waiting for 4 days without it...nope. Went to Walgreens, had it within 30 min. Tried to support the little guy but sometimes you cant make the sacrifice.

I have dealt with Southside for over 2 years now for my wifes medication.First, the pros: When we were in between prescription insurance, they worked with us and gave us the meds at wholesale. Now the cons: In the 2 years that weve been a customer (which ends tomorrow, by the way, but well get to that), getting a delivery on time is about a 1 in 3 shot. More often than not, I would make the 50+ mile round trip from Katy so that I could be sure that my wife would be able to start her meds. This morning when I called, there was something up with their phone system. Thats fine. I am in a technical industry and I understand that things with technology dont always work. The 3rd time the system hung up on me, I decided to give the operator a try. She transferred me to the wrong department. Then they transferred me to operator, then she transferred me to the right department (I guess), but they didnt answer and I got kicked back to the operator. Finally, I got to the right department, and I probably let the irritation in my voice show. It wasnt much, but I admit it was there. It was responded to with about 10 times as much hostility. We worked out that they needed a new prescription from our doctor. Thats fine, they requested it, and I thought all was well. I called back a couple hours later (knowing that the 12PM deadline for todays deliveries was fast approaching), and the doctor had not sent the new one. To sum up the next 4 phone calls, the doctor never got the request, and so the doc just sent a new one while I was on the phone them (Kelsey-Seybold, BTW. Theyre FANTASTIC). Each time I had to call back into South Side, I spoke with the same woman, who treated me like I had just shot her dog. The last thing I heard from them was that it would be delivered either today (Friday) or tomorrow (Yes, Saturday. I confirmed twice that they would deliver on Saturday).I assumed they worked it out, because later they called my wife and said that itd be out for delivery today (again, Friday). Great! Except, not so much. As I sit here writing this, its 11:15 PM and still no meds. It happens that this time were not in dire need, so its not super urgent. As best as I can work out, I assume that the meds will be here tomorrow (Saturday) or Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. By that time it may be more urgent. This is the last delivery that I will ever get from them. There are closer ones but I have never gone to the trouble of switching because, lets face it, Im a busy guy. Theyll never see another dollar from me. Ever.
