The staff was very nice. They were very efficient and affordable. The doctor was very personable and took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. I did not feel rushed or like I was a bother, which is very refreshing! Many places just rush you in and out like just another number and you dont always feel like your being heard. I highly recommend them! And the office is in the same building as my dermatologist, so its very convenient as well!!

I set up this appointment with Dr. Michael Underbrink with ENT Houston and was able to get him in as a new patient within a few days. Once he arrived for his appointment, the wait time was approximately 10 minutes. Dr. Underbrink too time to talk to my husband and was able to have his issues with his ears resolved. My husband liked him very much and has already scheduled a check-up for next year.

He and his staff we very professional and caring. He was very informative and O.T. was also very informative. We travelled by plane but by car it would have taken us 8 hours . It was worth it! I had done an online interview and within 30-1 hour I was contacted. Set up appointment and away we went to his clinic.

My appt went without any problems. You do have an electronic health form to fill in but that saves the hassles of filling out any forms when you get to your appt. They have a very friendly office staff at check in. Dr Underbrink is very friendly and listened to my questions. Treated me and set my next appt. It was my first visit to this Drs office and I was very satisfied. Really nice to have their office 5 minutes from my house. There are more Drs in this office, but Im very satisfied with Dr Underbrink.

I came in with a sore throat complaint. When his assistant was taking my med history, he asked me if I would want a scope (this already was a little strange: to recommend a diagnostic procedure before being seen by a physician, sounds like a sales pitch and not practice of medicine). I declined, because my pain was clearly within my oral cavity and plus I had a scope before and it was very uncomfortable. When Dr Underbrink came into the room, he was neither caring, nor attentive. He looked into my throat and said I know you did not want a scope. I confirmed that. He said OK, will can do it in two weeks, if this persists. This exchange followed: Me what do you think is it? Dr. I dont know. Me. But you seen something like this before? Dr. No. (As if taken straight from a Seinfeld episode). This was the extent of the entire communication. He gave me a prescription for systemic steroids (the whole other issue. I did not take steroids, my problem went away on its own after a couple days). I paid my deductible and left. Two weeks later I receive an invoice for $174.88 for the scope (this was my portion, the entire invoice amount - $461). I called back and spoken to his assistant, who promised to sort this out. But next month month I received the bill again. When I called them again now trying to rectify, I get the following reply: Dr. made a note that the scope was done. This is not a lot of money, but certainly a new low for medical billing and compels me to make it public for a bigger good, even though I have no idea how can this be prevented. It is literally my words against his note. Yes, I was overcharged before, but billing me for something that was never done. .. hmm. This is greed on a whole new level and deserves to be exposed. Apparently, this is not an isolated incident (see another recent review). Considering that only a tiny percentage of people leave a review, there must be a lot more people than two of us who had similar experience.Update: The office called me back and promised the charges to be removed.

Very personable doctor. He was reassuring and diagnosed my problem within minutes. I was terrified of having the laryngoscopy done, but he made it a breezy procedure. The male nurse and speech therapist (Cherise) were also equally awesome. Although the office was packed, I didnt wait long at all. Great experience!

All better than anticipated. The online check-in seemed overly burdensome at first, but paid off in a very accelerated check once I arrived. The office sent me a text while I was parking and then away we went. Dr. Underbrink and the assistant came immediately to get my treatment going. The vacuum method for wax removal was much better than other methods I have experienced. All well done!

I was able to get an immediate appt after being referred by my ENT. I had a total of 3 appts. Each appt was pleasant and informative. Wait times were short, less than 15 mins. I was never rushed and all of my questions were answered. All of his staff was kind and courteous. I will return if I need a Laryngologist again.

Dr. Michael Underbrink is the reason our insurance rates are high. He charged meFor a comprehensive endoscopic nasal exam for $594. This is ridiculous when I only saw him for 5 minutes and he told me he could not help me. I protested with billing department, but was told there was nothing they could do. Dr. Under brink was rude and unprofessional.

Saw Dr within 10 minutes of nurse taking my information. He was great. Very friendly and attentive and Kristen Ed to all my concerns. Performed a exam and explained what he was going to do and what I could expect. All the staff was friendly and courteous and I was out of there before my original 10:45 appointment time.

I cannot even express my gratitude and appreciation of Dr. Underbrink. I came in with 3-4 different complaints. He actively listened, never interrupting, and then to my surprise found the culprit of them ALL-my bite and jaw alignment! I firmly believe any other doctor, including my GP, would have just wrote antibiotics and dismissed my pain, never linking them together. I was seen within 30 seconds from when I originally sat down in the waiting room.Dr. Underbrink was extremely patient, never did I feel rushed. I had an appointment at 4:15 on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. I already had an idea what was going on, I have nasal polyps. When I made my appointment I was told I would receive an email to confirm my appointment and the patient interview would be attached. So I try to login to do my patient interview and was unable to get past the date of birth part. The office was certainly closed by this hour so I figured I could get there with enough time to do the paperwork. Well it was clear that I was the last patient of the day. They were ready go leave. I understand that. So the doctor was nice enough. He confirmed I have nasal polyps and will need surgery, we talked about CT scans and what needs to be done but would not talk to me about the price of the surgery. I have no insurance and will be paying out of pocket, maybe that discouraged him, I dont know. I left there with more questions than answers and I feel the ladies up front were rushing me through the process. I have to get it fixed, I came for help doing that. I didnt ask for discounts only a fair deal. I am back to square one but out almost $200

I needed an endoscopy, but was a very difficult patient - because of my very sensitive gag reflux. Dr U did the procedure successfully, in spite of my issues.

I went to see Dr. Underbrink for a problem with my voice. He was very kind and showed me exactly what the problem was. His team was very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. I ended up needing surgery for my vocal cord polyp. The surgery went better than I expected and my voice is back to normal! Overall, I had an excellent experience at the voice clinic and I would recommend this excellent doctor and voice specialist to everyone!

We had a feeling he wanted end the session asap. Was inpatient and did not pay enough time for explanation. Additionally, ignored the fact that the reason was unclear and let me go with same condition as before. Maybe good for random check, however would not recommend further.

Had to go with another doctor other than the one referred by my primary care physician because of time restrictions. Was happy with doctor and I would refer him to others pending a needed ENT appt.

Had super bad vertigo. Only had it once before in my life. Had to cancel a colonoscopy. found dr underbrink in network. Got an appointment for that day. He made it go away. I was able to go to work the next day.

So far I am happy with my surgery and I am waiting for my full recovery . Since my surgery had to do with my neck and ear , I will not be able to comment more till I see my full recovery and specially my full eye, nose and mouth.
