I had an excellent experience at Advance Orthodontics!! Dr. Karotkin and his staff are not only very professional and qualified but they’re also super friendly and genuinely nice people. I never had any issues and they were able to answer all of my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone in the Houston area! Although I did fly in from LA after I moved because their services are just that good. :)

As a new patient, the process is generally awful and time consuming - but not here. Every single member of the staff that I encountered had exceptional customer service. I love that following my dental work he was clear about when I should return & how to clean around my new retainer to extend its life. The office is clean and modern & even the sink area was dry & in pristine condition. I would recommend this office 1,000 times over.

This is a great place in Houston to get your teeth right! Dr Karotkin leads his professional team provide top services to patients, they are very knowledgeable and thoughtful, which makes a long and boring orthodontics process easier. I had serious bone lose, my treatment involved in lower part braces then Invisalign and upper part Invisalign along with a no-stress payment schedule. The entire treatment lasts for almost two years ( COVID caused about 5-6minths delay). When I finally walk out with a perfect smile, I said to myself “I am going to miss here, miss everybody who works here.”

At 30 years old, the thought of getting braces is terrifying for many reasons. However, Dr K and his team all made the experience so bearable. Wonderful experience for this 65 year old needing traditional braces and having lots of teeth and jaw problems.The staff answered all of my questions and listened to me and Dr. Karotkin did, too. They were available to fix problems along the way, like broken wires and pokey places bothering my mouth. They fixed my teeth and now I can chew with my molars again and don’t have chronic jaw pain. My orthodontic experience with Advance Orthodontics was amazing! My journey to a perfect smile started a year and a half ago. I wanted my gap to be closed. I had braces previously, and my fixed retainer broke causing spaces between my teeth again. My former dentist wanted to treat me with Invisalign, but I decided to be treated by an orthodontist. Being fairly new to Houston and not knowing any orthodontists in the city, I had a consultation with Dr. Karotkin and was not disappointed! He and his staff went over my treatment plan in great detail as well as the affordable payment options/plans. The cost of my treatment was much less than the quote from my former general dentist. Dr. Karotkin and his staff are both professional and friendly. I always felt welcomed during my visits, and all of my questions and concerns were addressed. Dr. Karotkin is very meticulous with his work and cares not only about his patients smiles but the health of their teeth. Highly recommend if youre looking to get Invisalign. Dont have to go in every 2 weeks for visits as other offices require. Super friendly staff and really they work with your schedule. I moved out of town and came in for my final check on my last trays. They were able to get my retainers done the same day so that I wouldnt have to come back. My dentist recommended an amazing orthodontist with Dr. John Karotkin and his professional staff. Why would an adult that is approaching retirement age want braces? When I was growing up, only those families that had plentiful funds had braces. Recently I looked at my 91 year old mom and realized that if I have her genes, I’m going to need good teeth to eat! I chose to use Invisaline because of my son’s experience with this method. He had great results and is now currently playing trumpet professionally in a major symphony. Dr. K. was supportive of my choice. He is very detailed in explaining everything, always asking if you have questions. Everyone was always very gentle, kind and knowledgeable. I had braces and headgear between first and third grades as a child. So I was concerned that my teeth began appearing crooked as an older adult. I was actually self conscious about smiling because my teeth looked so bad and I would bite my tongue frequently when I ate. My dentist referred me to the orthodontist she went to. Dr Karotkin is super knowledgeable and experienced with repairing a difficult smile like I had. My issues were teeth being out of alignment, incorrect top to bottom contact in my bite, and my bottom teeth were crowded and not straight across the front. This was the most noticeable to me. One of my lower front teeth was being forced up and the top front tooth above it was being pushed up because of that. My case required Invisalign and carrier appliances with buttons and elastics in the beginning. After that hardware braces were used to micro straighten my lower front teeth. I’m getting my braces off today and I start wearing my permanent bonded retainers along with upper and lower invisible retainer trays. I honestly couldn’t be happier with the results. This has completely boosted my self esteem. I can have a meal (chew food) without biting my tongue, my center line of both top and bottom teeth is perfect. My bottom teeth are straight and not bunched up. And best of all I can floss so much easier now. I really like my smile now.

What a fantastic experience! This is my first visit to an orthodontist in the US, and I am thoroughly impressed. Despite half of Houston having flooded, they were able to see me as soon as possible. Once there, I was out in an hour. The staff -Jane and Juanita, were absolutely fantastic. Prices were very reasonable. I hope not to need orthodontist care anytime soon, but if I do I would visit them in a heartbeat!

I would highly recommend Advance Orthodontics to anyone who wants a great smile!!!I started my treatment back in Dec. 2017 and I am wrapping up in March 2019 (I was projected to finish around June 2019 at the earliest but the clinic managed to fix me up sooner :)). I must say I had such a great experience! Dr. Karotkin and Dr. Rodriguez are both extremely professional and nice, and the staff members are also very sweet and welcoming. From day 1 you can tell that they are really listening to your concerns and working with you to find something thats the most suitable. I had to wear wired braces for my bottom teeth correction, which was the biggest cosmetic concern I had, but they did such a great job that the braces were almost invisible! And, I was able to switch to invisalign in just 10 months.All in all, this clinic is the best in town and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I have just moved here from Washington State. After 2 weeks I lost my retainer and went to visit Advanced Orthodontist. One thing that was extremely nice was the doctor, although when he looked at my teeth he never said I had a bad job done. Instead he just explained how he does things and why. He gave several options and solutions. After I chose the less expensive retainer when I thought the new retainer wasn’t working and called the office, they were very concerned and mentioned they work with me. I could apply what I had already spent towards the more expensive retainer. Very nice and friendly.

I have had two orthodontists in my life, one starting around 30 years of age and one starting around 37 years of age. I had Invisalign with the first, and it worked just fine. Little did I know, my sleep apnea caused me to have to put in a mouth guard that destroyed my bite and put in danger an already high risk tooth. That is when my dentist referred me to Dr. Karotkin at Advance Orthodontics. His specialty is fixing peoples teeth and airways who are not normal Ortho cases. Sure, he can do the normal stuff, but he can do so much more. He was able to diagnose the cause of my sleep apnea and my bite issues and create a plan that took about 14 months total. It involved a consultation with a maxillofacial surgeon and ultimately double jaw surgery, which cured my sleep apnea entirely, followed by about a year in traditional braces. Yes I said CURE! No C-pap, no airway-opening oral appliance, nothing! Today, I had my braces taken off. Dr. Karotkin and his team did a great job, and I couldnt recommend them more emphatically. If you are the type that wants a cure rather than a bandaid, Advance Orthodontics is the place to go.

Its always a pleasure visiting this clinic. ALL the staff are very cheerful and accommodating. They always find ways to fit you into an appointment which is based on a patients schedule and convenience. Every procedure to be performed are well explained and professionally done by the clinical staff. Payment plans are extended in a way that it doesnt burden the patient. We never have to wait in cases where we came in too early for our appointment, they will try to get you in as soon as they can, and do the opposite when we were late - they painstakingly waited for us... A true Service Excellence!

There really aren’t words to describe how thankful I am for Dr. K and his team. I had a very atypical case of needing braces but it shows how knowledgeable and caring Dr.K is! I was new to Houston and found out I was going to need jaw surgery and was told to find an orthodontist. Working in medicine myself, I quickly started asking around and doing research on who seemed to be the best orthodontist in the greater Houston area and found Dr. K. From the very beginning his staff has been beyond wonderful. At my first visit, Dr.K spent time with me and did a much more thorough exam than my surgeon had. He was actually the one to discover what all needed to be done because of his in-depth anatomy knowledge and sent me to a new jaw surgeon, TMJ specialist, and dentist, looking out for me and setting up the proper plan with a team of great providers. I ended up undergoing surgery followed with a lot of rare complications because of my condition but Dr. K was always making sure everything looked great from his end and making sure the surgeons were always aware too. He truly cared about all aspects of my recovery, not just straightening my teeth and making sure everything was aligned. Because of his care I finally can eat well, close my mouth properly, breath better, and of course my smile looks amazing and my self confidence improved drastically. He uses innovative techniques and even went out of his way to accommodate new things to satisfy what was needed for my surgery and to fix problems when complications occurred. I was also getting engaged and married during my treatment and he helped me switch from braces to Invisalign after surgery because he knew how important it was to me. I can confidently say that you will not find a more passionate, caring, talented, and knowledgeable Orthodontist in Houston or really anywhere else. I would still come back to Dr. K even if I moved hours away...He’s that good. Not to mention that the staff makes you feel like family and I genuinely look forward to my appointments. I owe my improved quality of life to Dr. K and his staff. Whether you are just looking for braces/Invisalign for you or your child, or need more complex care, he’s your guy. You truly will be blown away!

Fantastic and fabulous! I and absolutely enthralled at how great a job everyone did at advanced orthodontics. I had gone to visit three other orthodontics before doing a consultation here. The others were too cold on manner, rude, too busy to pay attention or care, or too eager to separate me from my money. When I stepped into this office though, I felt warmed and welcome. Dr. Karotkin was friendly and informative. I received pricing and an idea of what the process would be like on the spot and felt completely comfortable and actually quite eager to get started because of how well everyone was treating me. Unfortunately they did not take my insurance, but it didnt matter to me. The difference in customer service and the result was completely worth the price difference and the drive. Janie is one of the friendliest persons you will ever meet and a blast to do business with. Freddy, Judy, and Juanita handle your teeth with care, and have nothing but smiles to offer you when they greet you. Get to know everyone here, and put your faith in this practice. I am extremely satisfied and thankfull that I did. I hated my teeth for 27 years, but now I will be loving them for many years to come. Thank Dr. Karotkin and everyone at Advanced Orthodontics. Awesome job! Came in because my bottom, permanent retainer became detached from my teeth after a visit to the dentist. Got my bottom retainer about 10 years ago from a different orthodontist and wasnt really a fan on the process they used. The way Dr. Karotkin applied my new retainer was great! Makes it a lot easier to floss now and has an overall better feel! Got in and out in no time! Will definitely be coming back for any other orthodontic needs!
