Love the selection and awesome staff here! I recommend everyone in the hunt for frames go here. The diversity of choices for regular frames and sunnies fits every style. The staff is friendly and laidback but they know their stuff. I made the mistake of getting frames from my optometrist last year and regretted the fit. Went to Smith’s for help and they did right. They help me out year after year and don’t up the price for lenses or push you to buy more than you need.

I had an amazing experience here. Been wearing glasses for 34 years and never actually enjoyed being at the optician before. Not only is the selection amazing and affordable, the staff is helpful, thoughtful, and damn hilarious!

Great Customer Service!!On Saturday, we (my mom and I) went to Smiths Opticians to browse the selection of glasses. We were greeted warmly and were provided with great customer service (thanks, Sarah!) The shop wasnt crowded and people were properly masked. Everyone there was SO nice and helped me pick the perfect pair of lenses. I loved how many vintage options there were and the prices are amazingly affordable! This store is so unique. I wanted advice from everyone about which lenses I should pick, and they genuinely helped me choose the ones that fit me best, not the ones that got them the most money. That is so important because I felt like I was really getting genuine advice from objective people rather than a sales pitch!!! I had good conversation with everyone and they were willing to help me when I accidentally stayed passed closing, which I felt really bad about, but they ensured me they were there to help. They told me all about their process and how the glasses are made and delivered. I will definitely be going back for more fun lenses!!!!

Unique frames, careful lens preparation and wonderful customer service. I love visiting Smiths —they have helped me fix and adjust glasses that I bought elsewhere, no questions asked. When I wear the frames I got from Smith’s people give me compliments. It’s as simple as that!

This place is the bomb. You will find the perfect match from this unbelievably vast, unique and funky selection of frames. The customer service was excellent as well. I had no idea there was so much to know about glasses. Carlos (I think) looked in the back for a specific pair of frames I was looking for for about 40 minutes. What a refreshing experience altogether!

I got affordable glasses that Im still wearing 3+ years later. One time the leg fell off and they reattached it free of charge. They dont take insurance & yet my glasses were still cheaper than my last pair, with insurance from some insanely priced place in Katy. Smiths is the best

I finally found the kind of frames I was looking for. I generally have a hard time adjusting to new progressive lenses, so I can be a difficult customer. They worked patiently with me and I am very happy. They have a massive selection of frame styles and the prescription lenses are high quality. I will definitely go back for my next pair.

Ive purchased several pairs of prescription glasses from Smiths Opticians and I love them all so much that its hard to choose which ones to put on each day! Carlos has a wonderful talent for hearing a description of exactly what youre looking for then magically producing a pair of glasses that are a perfect match for your taste.

They have a hugeee selection of frames to choose from, but be wary a lot of the frames have probably been sitting on the counters for several years (as evident from the nose pads and dust accumulation). Dont worry, they clean them up and replace the nose pads before turning them in to you!They have excellent customer service (lots of compliments) and they fix anything you feel is wrong.They dont do contacts. Frames+lens typically take 6-10 days, mine took one week with high-index lenses. I was pretty happy with the turnaround time!

This is one of my favorite places in all of Houston. The way some women feel about shoes, I feel about glasses - and this is where I come. They have name brands, no-name brands, new stock and a TON of vintage glasses. They will even custom shape and custom dye frames (and lenses). You can find a pair (or two or three) that fit your face perfectly and have glasses like no one else in town. Oh! I didnt mention - SUPER affordable - like the online glasses sites.The service is superb and you can even bring records in while you shop. I wouldnt buy glasses anywhere else.

I have been wearing glasses since I was 12. When I go to chain eyeglass stores, I find mostly black, brown and wire rimmed glasses. Boring! It is hard to find glasses with style or bling. The other challenge is that my glasses must match my Art Car. Usually, I am lucky to find one or two pair of glasses to match, but at Smith Optical I find 20-30 pairs of glasses. I always find that perfect pair of glasses that goes with the Art Car and works with my face. Expect to get tons of compliments.

I discovered Smiths Opticians in the one year I lived in Houston after my coworker recommended I go - I loved my first pair of glasses: distinctive, comfortable, cheap, and indestructible. When I lost that pair, I ordered a replacement from Smiths long distance from my new residence in Colorado - loved my 2nd pair. And then I moved to Oregon and felt silly continuing to buy my glasses from some little shop way out in Houston so I bought a pair from Warby last year - hate hate hated them - boring, heavy and uncomfortable, and super scratched within months. So I just bought my third pair of glasses from Smiths via their new stylish website and am forever devoted - the glasses are stylish, affordable, and comfortable. And the customer service (via email) is outstanding - cutesy but entirely personal.
