I hardly ever leave reviews, and if I do, it’s usually for restaurants, but I felt the need to review my experience with Dr. Purcell because it was that amazing!After a less than ideal experience with another OB at a nearby practice for prenatal care and labor/delivery for my first born, I switched to Dr.Purcell for my second pregnancy. She was referred to me by my coworker. The entire experience from every prenatal appointment to having my baby was better than I could have imagined! Dr. Purcell has amazing bedside manner. She is kind, understanding, and never makes you feel rushed. She always made me feel like I had a say in my medical care. She truly cares, and thanks to her, all of my wishes for my labor and delivery were met and I had a beautiful birth. I also appreciate how she goes above and beyond to make sure she personally delivers most of her patients’ babies, even if she is not on call! I have recommended her and will continue to recommend her a hundred times over to friends and family.Suzy, the NP, Brianna at the front desk, her staff and everyone at her office are amazing as well! Best Obgyn I had ever found ! I could call her at any time with any concerns I may have with my pregnancy if she needs to see me she will fit me in asap. Staff always so helpful and nice to me and my husband! I feel super comfortable with her I highly recommend her.

I’ve been going to Dr. Purcell for over 4 years for my annual check-ups and anything else that I may need. She is not only super friendly and down to earth during each visit but so are the nurses and other staff members as well. They listen, give great advice, and do everything that they can to help you. Each experience is always great and I’m grateful to have found her when I moved to Houston.

Dr. Purcell is an amazing OBGYN. As a transgender person it is hard to find a trans affirming OBGYN practitioner. Although there is still room for improvement (for example including pronouns and preferred name if not the legal name on form, and training all staff on using indicated pronouns and name) but in general I felt safe and welcomed. Dr. Purcell’s nurse, Theresa, was thorough and extremely friendly as well. Thank you!

I was referred to Dr. Purcell by my internist in February 2020 because of a condition I had that could be serious. At my appointment Dr. Purcell discussed my condition and her recommendation for surgery. When you hear surgery it is always a scary time. Then Susie her assistant scheduled me to have surgery at Women’s Hospital two weeks later. Susie was so caring and helpful during a very uncertain time. I was one of the last surgeries before they had to stop because of Covid 19.Dr. Purcell came in and talked with us before the surgery to give us more details and then after the surgery she let my husband know how everything went. I was in surgery less time than expected and the results were excellent. I am feeling better than I have in a long time. She is the best surgeon! She is very knowledgeable; understanding and will answer any question you have any time of the day. When you call her office you always get someone that answers the phone. The front desk is very friendly and helpful with any issues you have. I highly recommendDr. Purcell and her team they are the best!Thank you for everything!

I’d say this clinic is a comedy of errors but it’s far from being funny. I set the first appointment back in June. I actually called in a few weeks before but there was a nearly 2 months wait for new patients. I was then called a day or so before the appointment telling me they need to reschedule because Dr. Purcell took time off without notice and so my original appointment was as pushed by over a month. I was then called again the the same morning or the same day and told my appointment is once again rescheduled. Can’t remember what was the reason this time. Third time scheduling, this time is was cancelled again due to a tropical storm that never made it here. Finally, after a 4 months wait(!) I take half a day off from work (single mom so scheduling is hard enough) as I took the only available spot they had. I was just happy to finally schedule.I arrive at the clinic, as a disabled veteran with a disability preventing me from wearing those thick masks, I wear a face shield which isn’t even required since I’m exempt from any breathing altering covers.I am taken to a room, I am asked to take my clothes off and wear a gown. This was uncomfortable on it’s own but then I have the office manager (didn’t get her name) come in and say Dr. Purcell REFUSES to see me if I don’t wear a mask. I explained I am a disabled veteran with a disability preventing me from wearing one. I also have my disabled card to prove it. Manager insists Dr. Purcell will not see me unless I wear a mask that may cause my oxygen levels to drop to a fatal level. Nobody cares.I was discriminated against my disability, with a hostile, disrespectful attitude. Very poor customer relations. I can’t make an opinion about the professionalism of Dr. Purcell as an OBGYN but I can say as a professional, she does not respect veterans, she does not respect or accommodate to disabilities, her personal believes effect her judgement and actions and she will go against a patient if she disagrees with them.If you are, or have friends, family that are disabled or veterans and you care about which businesses support or are anti-disabilities, please reconsider using this provider. I was referee to this provider by a friend who will be switching after this incident. If your insurance pays this provider for their services you are supporting an anti-disability practice. There are lots of other providers who respect and accommodate to disabilities.And just to top all this, they don’t validate the parking tickets, so I paid the parking fee on my single mom single paycheck on a service I was denied.

Dr. Purcell is awesome! I was her patient for two years before leaving Houston. She is a wonderful doctor and has excellent bed side manner. She’s patient, answers all questions and has a way of putting you at ease. I wish I could find a doctor like her in Austin.

Dr. Purcell is a wonderful doctor. She is patient, understanding, and kind, and she makes her patients feel genuinely cared for and important. She is prompt and has an office staff that is organized and mindful of your time. I highly recommend Dr. Purcell as one of the best all-around doctors Ive ever been to.

Dr. Purcell is the ultimate professional, and shes so very down to earth. Shes able to convey medical information in a triage manner at any level needed to fully comprehend.Dr. Purcells team is AMAZING, and the care provided is so genuine. The team knows you by name and theyre always current on your care plan.

Today was my very first visit with Dr. Purcell. Loved her and her staff and I’m normally very picky with my doctors. Briana at the front desk is very nice and helpful. Nurse Suzy is really sweet and makes me feel comfortable. Dr. Purcell is definitely better than my previous ones. She’s smart, very helpful, and professional. She’s fast and efficient. She also listened to me and my concerns and answer every questions I have for her. Not once did she make me feel uncomfortable. I will definitely recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Purcell is amazing. She’s very knowledgeable and made my mom and I felt so comfortable during our first visit for our women’s wellness exams. The entire staffs are incredibly nice and welcoming. Breanna at the front desk is super sweet and attentive. I would highly recommend Dr. Purcell to any women living in the surrounding Houston areas.

Dr. Heidi Purcell is amazingly smart, detailed & professional. Ive been going to her for more than 5 years and wouldnt go anywhere else! Her nurse and staff are lovely too. Always make you feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommend her.

Dr. Purcell is one the best Drs I have met. She answer all my questions, calls when you need to talk to her, and makes everything ten times better. Her staff is amazing as well they know me when I call and when I come in. The whole office is amazing!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Purcell for about four years. I’m moving out of state next month and am so sad to be leaving such amazing care. The whole team is unbelievably helpful and kind, and I’ve never felt like I was bothering them (even when I definitely was!) Dr Purcell has the best bedside manner, she makes the most uncomfortable moments fly by. I can not recommend her highly enough - and I recommend people to her often. 10/10

The staff and nurses are super nice. The doctors are also personable and friendly. Plus, the wait time is ideal and no more than 15 minute wait in the lobby.

Doctor Purcell is the best gynecologist i have ever met! I just love her. Love the way she explained everything and also how gently she treated me. There was some problems regarding bills but later it has been solved by my insurance.I would love to choose her as my OBGYN whenever i am needed again.

Last week was my first time seeing Dr. Tallman. I had to switch gynecologists and found Dr Purcell and Tallman on my insurance website. I was a little apprehensive as these types of visits are uncomfortable. However, the staff was very sweet and they got me back in a timely manner. Dr. Tallman immediately made me feel very comfortable and she was very sweet as well. They have an online patient portal for your health results which is nice as well. I highly recommend them!!

I like Dr. Purcell so much that I dont have words enough to recommend her.

I have been very surprised, but when I call Dr Purcell’s office with a question, I have received return phone calls from Dr Purcell herself. It’s a rare Dr that answers questions herself.
