Referred to this doctor after a traumatic birthing experience for consultation. Came to my appointment on time, but had to wait 3 HOURS to see this doctor. Which is ridiculous!!! After waiting 2 and a half hour in the lobby, I had to wait another 30-40 minutes in the room while they print out my medical record and sort it. He came in briefly but was extremely unprepared, didn’t review my medical record that was sent weeks before the appointment. Gave me general information, that I could have read off google. He didn’t care about what I went through, and was super insensitive to a grieving mother. He told me to go get a test, that was not recommended by 2 other OBGYN right after surgery. After the visit, the front desk tells me they are going to bill my insurance, and don’t worry about it. Then I get a big bill in the mail couple weeks after…It was about 4x more than the other OBGYN/fetal medicine doctor that I saw after him. I just got a sorry our rate it high when I try to ask them and I wasn’t made aware of this high cost before the visit. I was the last patient to be seen when I was there before other people…It was my first time at the medical center, so I called for help with directions to get to the garage after my visit. I got yelled at by the front desk staff for calling them after hours…it was such a terrible experience!!!The only good thing about this place is nurse, Sylvia. She was nice enough to offer her email for any questions after the visit, which I really appreciate, but I won’t be back or recommend to other people.

I requested to have a Cerclage placed as soon as possible in my pregnancy during my initial consultation at 5 weeks and he agreed. As my pregnancy progressed, he reneged and suggested he use the wait-and-see approach. He knew I had a previous 2nd trimester loss. I experienced bleeding every few weeks throughout my pregnancy under his care. My water leaked and after he reviewed my records from the ER, he said everything was fine. The ER doctor told me things looked grim. I visited Dr. Gei and told him my concerns week after week. I told him I felt pressure. Nothing was fine. We waited too long. I ended up dilating and losing my baby in my 2nd trimester( my 2nd healthy baby in my 2nd trimester). He has great “bedside manner”, however, I’d prefer someone who truly takes my concerns seriously (especially when he knew how long I struggled to have a child). After my loss, he suggested we do the cerclage earlier (as I previous requested) for my next pregnancy. I will NEVER give him the opportunity to care for me or my future baby. I researched and found a true high risk doctor who confirmed that a regular cerclage wouldn’t help my short cervix. Also, it takes hours to see him even with an appointment. The day I lost my baby, I called to schedule an emergency visit bc something didn’t feel right. His staff forgot to call me back and Apologized for the oversight. By the time I finally got in for a visit, hours had passed. I dilated, was admitted to hospital and the only option was an emergency cerclage for the next day. I went into labor before it could be performed. I’m disappointed and furious. Please listen to your patients. Their babies, mental/emotional/financial health/physical health, and futures are on the line.

After having a nightmare first birth with a terrible OB, Dr. Gei was the biggest breath of fresh air. His NP was incredible and caring, everyone in the office is wonderful. 6/5 stars if I could, truly. My second birth was so much better managed and its all due to this doctor!!

My wife was recently told she was in a high risk pregnancy and her regular doctor referred her to Dr. Gei. About a month ago my wifes father passed. My wife felt as if Dr. Gei was an Angel acting in Behalf of Her recently passed Father. He stayed with her until after she awoke after her surgery. Dr. Gei called me after she awoke from her surgery and he told me he had promised her he would not leave her side until she was awake and conscious. My wife and I have been blessed by such a good man in our time of need. He would come by afterwards and check on my wife and baby until my wife was released from the hospital. We would definitely recommend Dr. Gei to anyone with a High Risk Pregnancy. Thank you so much Dr. Gei!

Took great care of my wife and made her feel very comfortable throughout the process of her C-Section. We had to make a decision to go from natural birthing center (Nativity) to a next day C-Section appointment because of our breached baby girl. Dr. Gei didn’t pressure us in any way, walked us through the options and allowed us to make an object decision out of our few options. He’s very confident and comfortable with his work and made such a clean incision, there’s no evidence of a c-section whatsoever! Thanks Dr. Gei & all of the staff who were also great people!

My midwives referred me to Dr. Gei for an issue I’m having with my cervix. I was super nervous to drive downtown to a new place but it was a really easy process.Park in the Scurlock tower garage and take the elevator down to 2nd level. Walk down the hall to other elevators and go up to floor 15! That’s it. There are people all around to ask for help.TAKE YOUR PARKING TICKET WITH YOU because you have to pay inside on level 2 before you go back to your car. I paid $7 for 2 1/2 hrs.I loved working with Rachel for my ultrasound and absolutely adored Sylvia, the nurse. She was the best communicator and relayed everything in perfect detail to Dr. Gei when he came in the room.I developed a yeast infection the day after my appointment and had trouble with my midwives helping! So I called Sylvia! Left a voicemail and she returned my call within 30 minutes with nothing but sympathy for my new symptom and immediately filled a prescription for me.Dr. Gei was kind but she did everything I needed and more that day. ❤️❤️

From the moment I called the office to make my initial appointment to the moment I met Dr. GeiI have to say this has been by far the best doctor office/doctor visit in my life!Everyone was so sweet and helpful!Dr. Gei is extremely thorough and really takes his time to inform patients, he is not your typical rush in and out of the appointment doctor. Dr.Gei and all of his staff were amazing! The front desk, nurse, Mr.Jim the sonographer, and Sylvia, the P.A. were so kind and helpful, I was shocked by such a change from my previous experiences with other doctors. Dr.Gei actually spent time talking to me about my concerns and didnt rush through the appointment. The wait may be a little long, but its worth it because you know hes taking time with his patients and giving you the BEST care possible. Im so thankful that I was able to see him, it was truly a blessing.Finding the building and parking made me nervous, but it was really much easier than I thought it would be and the office provided great directions.This is the kind of doctor that every woman and baby deserves to have. If you need an MFM, dont waste your time or emotions going to anyone else.

Dr. Gei is one of the best and smartest men I know. I work with him on a professional level. When I found out I was expecting twins I knew immediately I wanted to be his patient. Twins automatically made me high risk, but so did my marginal previa and some certain ultrasound finding they found on baby A.Unfortunately it was VERY hard to get through to the office to make an appointment. Literally rook me 3 days. Never received calls back from my messages. Finally when I made an appointment 4 weeks ago I was asked what insurance I had. I was then put on hold for 10 minutes so they could make sure my insurance was accepted. The guy came back on the phone and said it was. My appointment was supposed to be on Thursday. They just called me today at 5pm (after office hours) and told me that my insurance isnt accepted but I could pay out of pocket for the visit which would of been $1400...why they didnt call me two weeks ago when they said that thats when it took affect to where my insurance wasnt accepted I dont know... But I am livid and I plan on calling back tomorrow to speak with a manager. Its terrible that this is the first impression of Dr. Gei for many patients and its not a good one. Even though Dr. Gei is a wonderful man and physician.I am now stuck and have to find a high risk doctor who can see me within a few days (impossible). Not only is this just an inconvenience to A LOT of people... But its also a PATIENT SAFETY ISSUE.

I was a current patient at this office and was called at 5 pm (past regular doctors office hours) the day before my appointment for a 33 week ultrasound and told they would no longer be able to see me because their office no longer takes my insurance. A courtesy of at least half a day for me to make other arrangements would have been nice. Also expect to wait 45 min or more to be seen.

We were very blessed to have him as our doctor in 2015. When no one else was willing to take my case; he was there with a steady hand to perform my surgery. He was a miracle for me and my unborn son. I went on to have a healthy baby boy with no complication. My family and I are thankful every day for Dr. Gei. I highly recommend him to all high risk soon to be moms!!!

Dr. Gei is one of the best doctors I have met here in Houston. We had a high risk pregnancy with twins. Even with complications, we always felt in good and experienced hands. He is friendly, calm in hectic situations, and also takes the time to explain the options to me as a layman in a clear manner. Because of his advice, we were able to make the right choices. Every time we needed to see him on an urgent matter, he was there right away. As well, the unplanned C-section delivery at 4 AM was not a problem and done with absolute professionalism. (I was probably the most nervous person in the room.) The office staff is also very good and helpful for all the questions and checkups we had. The wait time in the office is shorter than expected for such a professional specialist, and scheduling appointments was never an issue. I would highly recommend him if you want to feel comfortable during your pregnancy and not have to deal with issues in any way.

He is very straight forward with diagnostic information, very loving and so kind! Very thorough. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor or experience. His staff never answers the phones though!

Dr Gei is just the best. Very kind, super patient. He took the time during each consultation to answer to ALL my questions (and I had a lot). I have not enough word to express my gratitude. Without him, having my baby would not have been the same amazing journey.The cherry on the cake, he speaks French (among so many other languages)., that eases my understanding of each step of the delivery.He is such a good person, he is the obgyn to have to be in confidence.

Dr Gei and his staff are amazing. He has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. If you are looking for a doctor who will talk to you and not at you he is your man. His staff are so nice and accommodating every step of the way. I cant say enough good things about this group. You will not regret it.

I couldnt say enough about Dr. Gei and his ENTIRE staff!! They are amazing, he has the BEST bedside manners Ive ever seen with a provider. I am currently seeing him for being high risk (3 prior miscarriages) and now possible multiplies, he is so caring and is always there to listen to any concerns I have. Not only is he there to listen he actually puts together a plan to ensure the safest and healthiest delivery for your baby!!

Dr Gei was my MFM for my last pregnancy. He is the most compassionate, caring doctor we have ever come into contact with. We never felt rushed and he always made sure we were comfortable with his course of treatment. He delivered my baby girl in May and went above and beyond anything we ever expected. He truly cares about his patients and it shows!

This is the best doctor I’ve gone to, he’s very knowledgeable and caring. He goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best care.

What a phenomenal experience! I recently delivered my fourth baby (second VBAC) with him and can’t say enough good things! His bedside manner is amazing and his expertise is unmatched. His concern for each patient is so genuine. If I have another, I will definitely be delivering with him!

Fantastic doctor! I was seen by Dr. Gei since 27weeks due to preeclampsia. I truly believe that I get to hold my baby girl today because of his knowledge and incredible care.Consider yourself lucky if you become one of his patients!

Dr. Gei is fantastic. I cannot recomend him enough. My first pregnancy, I had my daughter at 25 weeks via c-section, and two days later my daughter passed away. No one was able to tell me what happened. So for 3 years I stressed about having another baby as no one knew why I had my first so early. So when I got pregnant with my second daughter, Dr. Gei was recommended to me. The first time I met him he was very thurough and patient and took his time listening to me and discussing my concerns. He was able to immediately diagnose me with a short cervix and began treating me right away. I was extremely stressed out during this pregnancy because I was terrified of losing another child, but every time I saw Dr. Gei, I knew I was in good hands and my worries went away. I genuinely looked forward to my appointments because he has such a reassuring nature and calm attitude it just makes you fee good to be there. I also cannot say enough good things about the staff. The receptionist is extremely kind and helpful every time I called, and the nurses spent several days helping ensure I got the medicine I needed and in the mean time gave me a weeks worth of medicine for free to make sure I was on it while I waiting for my medicine to arrive. I am so grateful that I was able to have a successful VBAC with Dr. Gei and he helped me bring a health beautiful little girl into this world.

This post is 8+ years after the fact; but better late than never. Approximately 9+ years ago I was miscarrying and was rushed to Methodist hospital where I first met Dr. Gei and his staff. I was devastated to have lost the baby but believe that Dr. Gei did everything he could (and my own doctor had literally done nothing). Dr. Gei and his staff were very compassionate and gentle during this difficult time. A year later, when I was pregnant again, I immediately went to Dr. Gei. (Honestly, I no longer trusted my regular OB/GYN and I couldn’t help but remember how fondly I remembered him, even though my experience was pure devastation.). Dr. Gei immediately recognized that I would have the same complication as the last time. Long story short, I have a 100% healthy son today that I don’t think I would have if it weren’t for Dr. Gei. I am sorry it took so long to write this review - but 8+ years later, while we are driving to Florida and I’m reflecting on my blessings, I am thinking about this man.
